Hi An! I need to create an interactive coloring book for a client's website. I used Muse to build the site; now I need a good tutorial on how to create a coloring "book" (pages, really) that they (children) can color on the site. Any suggestions??? Thanks.

Have you ever worked with WordPress? There are WP plugins (commercial and free) that might do what you need.

Help with business catalyst with muse for a client's website

I created a site for a client using creative cloud muse, she got a business analyst account and added me as a user, but i am not able to upload the site straight from muse using publish .. what am i doing wrong?

There is a workaround. It takes a little more work, but it is definitely worth it and will solve your problem. I subscribed and learned from tutorials on the www(.)trainsimple(.)com. They have a video series called "Muse CC Business Catalyst Integration" which was very helpful. The issue that everyone on here is referring to is covered in the 3 videos labelled, "Email Sign Up Checkbox", "Moving Muse Webforms to Business Catalyst" and "Email Marketing".
Essentially, what you want to do is create a form in Business Catalyst, turn that form into a module, assign a tag to that module, then put the tag into Muse using Object > Insert HTML. This will solve Muse deleting the web forms everytime.

I am a web designer and have been asked to create an option for my client's customers to create profiles that are searchable by others (specifically athletes that can be searched for by college coaches). I am a little out of my depth since I mainly work in design and have limited experience in developing things like these. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated

Uploading a book for a client author

I created an ibook on behalf a client and we need to post it to the Apple bookstore. My question is related to the vendor ID: Will this book's metadata show that I'm the seller because I uploaded the file? Is there a way to show my client as the seller? They do not have macs or the expertise (or time) necessary to publish it themselves, so they asked me to upload the file, but I'm concerned about the vendor ID issue.

"Macs for dummies" was good, if it still exists. I bought it years ago when I bought my first Mac, and it put a smile on my face, like this:

Pantone Fashion+home Color book

HI,
Anyone know if there is any chance to have the pantone color book for Fashion?
I need to have the color book in the picker, so i need an .acb file extension, but not sure if the one for fashion is ever been created. I was able to make a .ase and .aco file with the palette but it only works on the swatch menu, not on the picker.
Help will be really apreciated, thanks everybody!!

Deb's Coloring Book Macro

I purchased an older MAc in order to use the Imac software that's contained in the "I Didn't Know I could do that" book. It had a macro for creating a coloring book from a pictuer or graphic file. It is only in AppleWorks and on OS 9.
I can;t get ot to work at all. Does anyone know how to work out the problem or have another Macro to create coloring books from existing pictures?

Thank you for your quick response. Unfortunately, the book does not say what version of AppleWorks, it simply says AppleWorks. The book was published in 2000, so it's safe to say that it was not talking about version 6. I simply thought that version 6 could do al that previous versions could do and more.
I am completely new to Macintosh. I have been a PC person. I want to become a Mac person. I want to be able to create coloring books for our non-profit storytelling function. So I am willing to use whatever program that can get it done.

HELP NEEDED with flash interactive comic book

Hi folks
I am really stuck here.
I am creating an interactive comic book for college. I want a menu, which will house all four issues of the comic series. When you click and drag an issue to the drag area I want that issue of the comic to appear. Then all I need is a button to turn the pages. Pressing the final turn page button will return to the main menu again. If someone can help me Id appreciate it as this thing needs to be in for monday/tuesday.

At this stage I've only been able to make the issue snap to the read me button but I have no idea how to make sure that action leads to the first page of that comic issue.

Unless I misunderstand the question, you can't do what you're asking to do. Apple doesn't allow you to bypass their store and host public apps on a website. The exception is an enterprise app, which requires an Enterprise account with both Apple and Adobe. This type of enterprise app can be distributed only within the company. If that's what you want to do, you can learn more here:

Another option is to add the development app to several devices and use those for your demo.

The max OS for all Macs with a PowerPC processor is Leopard OS 10.5.x.
If you are going to consider getting a newer, but used, Mac, here's the requirements for Lion.
Lion 10.7 System Requirements
    •    Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor (most models released since late 2006 - early Intel-based Macs with Core Solo or Core Duo processors aren't compatible)
    •    2GB of memory (recommend at least 4GB -- and ideally even more, as you'll see benefits in many computing tasks)
    •    OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended) for Lion download from Apple App Store; or Leopard 10.5.x if using Lion on USB drive
    •    7GB of available space (10GB recommended)

It seems that all you have is a raster image, presumable PNG24 or JPEG, in RGB.
It may have been created as raster artwork in Photoshop, or it may have been created as vector artwork with the help of Illy, or as a mixture of vector and raster artwork in either application, or both combined.
If you just need to have a raster representation in black and white based on the current colour image, you may try this, in a new RGB document (View>Smart Guides are your friends):
1) File>Place the image (you may tick Link or untick and have it embedded);
2) Create a rectangle with black fill (R = G = B = 0), at least as large as the image, and place it behind the image (you may ClickDrag with the Rectangle Tool between opposite corners, then Ctrl/Cmd+X+B);
3) Select all and in the Transparnecy palette flyout click Make Opacity Mask with both Clip and Invert Mask ticked.

A new Book: Color Management for Digital Photographers

Ted Padova and Don Mason have published a new book: Color Management for Digital Photographers for Dummies (ISBN 978-0-470-04892-4).
As the back cover of the manual states "This book is packed with examples to guide you through understanding color basics, correcting brightness and contrast, getting the exact tone and hue, and creating perfect prints - in full color, of course!" (with the tools available in PSE 4 and 5).
I had the luck to benefit from the excellent experience and the gracious help of Don Mason for a color/brightness adjustment problem in a Dafodill photo that I did not know how to solve on my own. I look forward to learn much more from this book.
Probably other PSE users could also be interested in this book.

Yes, I've tried all of the options: Printer manages color, PSE manages color. All are the same dark prints.
On another conversation on this forum, I read the following. Very discouraging to think that Adobe knows of this problem but won't give me any tech support because too much time has lapsed.
I don't know what "plugs" are--sounds like this user figured out a way around it.
Any advice?

Adobe has admitted that there is a color management issue with PSE 6 for Mac. I have an Epson R1900 and I am now getting acceptable color-managed prints by allowing the Epson Printer driver to manage color management (ie; color management in PSE 6 turned off). The Epson Photoshop Plug In also works well with PSE6 and ICC profiles; however, I have yet to solve 2 problems with this particular plug in: (1) How to get the program to capture 3rd party ICC profiles and (2) how to print borderless prints. If anyone has seen a user guide for this particular plug in, I would be grateful to know how to download it.

There is no direct web publishing of a book, sorry. But as a work-around: You can print your book to pdf - select it in the book in the Inspecktor panel and use "Print book". Then select the "PDF" buttun in the print panel and save a pdf file. Upload the pdf to a server for sharing (ftp, Drop box) and send your friends a link or place a link to the file on a webpage.
