We would like to allow our customers from our website to interactively design the custom logo balls from our site and submit the design. Is there a tool available to do that. Any help will be highly appreciated.

them the way you want your printed page to appear using your

How to use SOA Suite in conjunction with SOA Analysis and Design Tools

Hi everybody,
I am a novice in this field and I need some help regarding integrating analysis and design tools with SOA Suite.
We used to analyze and design with Oracle Designer and use its powerful form generator to develop a system. It almost covered all the software lifecycle and kept the traceability between anlaysis,design and implementation.
I have studied about the SOA concepts and read some papaer about SOA Suite. I have also installed the SOA demo based on SOA Suite and I found it absolutely amazing, but my problem is that It seems oracle does not have any tools for SOA Analysis and Design. am I right? if so, How can we analyze and design a system based on SOA concepts and implement it using soa suite in such a way that keeps traceability? What tools is used for this purpose?
It seems that IBM have some tools like Rational Software Architect and Rational Suite which enable people to design and analyze based on SOA concepts and then generates some pieces of code (like oracle designer in old days) but is it possible to design in these tools and then generating codes for SOA Suite ? (for example generating a bpel file from a design model)
As I told before I am a novice in this field and I would be so grateful if other users can share their expriences regarding this matter.

Interaction design point of view

I took a look to almost all video and explanation i found on adobe.com about catalyst, and it seems adobe care about what designer will be able to do with, and how they'll be sharing their work.
My point is that i found in Catalyst a huge tool for interaction design (as ergonomist). I think adobe could push thoses customers to buy it (and i barely can't it gets out !!!). We used to develop our model on illustrator, then make a report inside indesign and then, show and talk about it with our customers.
Here's the first thing : instead of showing statics capture screen, and take a lot of time to explain how this component or this bouton will interract, we'll be able with FC to simply execute the swf file, and say : this is how it will "interract".
2nd point is : as ergonomist, we never can't be sure that our choise on the interface are fine or best. We can just say that's is not bad at all, so let's try it ! So we can spend a lot of time to test some elements of the interface with real user, and understand what's good and what's wrong. With FC, when we (our team of ergonmist) discuss about a behavior of a component, we can say : here's what i think about it, this can do that, and that will come here with a fade in. We'll be able to discuss directly on our component, visually, improving our efficiency and take better choices.
The last point is how we work with the designers and developpers. Usually, designers takes our document, and try to respect the most of it. Sometimes it's easy (when they're no ambiguity about the behavior of the component), and sometimes it's hard (cause the designer understand his own way the behavior, while we were thinking another. Or just because designer produce a lot of terrific design and behavior we didn't specify, and at the end, a lot of thing has not been respect even if it's beautiful or fun). FC allows us to show the designer what behavior will that bouton do, or how this menu can shows up or how he can't shows up.
And all of this changes a lot about our productivity, efficiency, and how we works with our workmate.
So maybe adobe can just speak to this people (the ergonomists) and even improve FC in that way. (we use axure to make some prototype for the users test, and we work on a layer on a jpeg, and spend a lot of time inserting component (often invisible) or hide texte to put just a hyperlink, etc...).
FC is really awesome, and i hope everything i have in my mind about this soft will become true

URGENT: Connecting BPC 10.0 with BI4.0, with Universe Design Tool

Hi all,
I have quite an urgent question that I need some guidance from all you SAP gurus on!
Is it possible to connect BPC 10 to BI4 using Universe Design Tool? We are under the impression very few people have connected these pieces of software together, if at all. It is very important to a Project I am on at the moment as to whether it is possible so any advice would be very much appreciated.
So far we have done..
Software is installed - Universe Design Tool (UDT)
Logins have been created for BPC 10
Opened up UDT and go through the Wizard;
Connection name is BPC CCONNECTION
Select data access driver: Business Planning and Consolidation OLE DB for OLAP
Enter the server address for BPC 10 (This is the URL that we log in to the BPC Admin Console)
After we try to continue, we get the error as follows:

Hi Nick,
If you are trying to connect BPC 10 NW to BI 4.0 then I have some suggestions. We did this in our SAP EPM 10 training. In the Admin go to the model tab , select your model and edit it. Select the check box Use as a source. This creates a transient query in the backend.. Then we designed the connection in IDT (Information Design tool). Login to IDT and create a new project. Now Right click on the project and create a new OLAP connection. Select SAP BICS as driver selection. Provide the server details and user aunthetication. Select specify a cube in connection option. Now You can select your model <MODELNAME>_B folder and u will see one query with /CPMB/TQ_XXXX. Test your connection and publish your connection to repository . Now you can use this connection for creating Interactive Analysis (Webi Report). I am not sure about the reporting client you wish to use.

Just a newby in AIR and Flex environment. I have development
background in Microsoft Technologies (especially web technologies).
I am considering AIR environment for building a designer tool
that should let a user perform the following operations. The basic
question on hand is "Weather its a right tool/environment to build
this kind of application". The feature list is:
1- Should have open (not limiting on height or width) canvas
as background layer.
2- User shall be able to upload an image on background layer.
3- User shall be able to add layers on above background
layer.
4- Each layer should let the user add interactive objects
(custom objects MXML+ Action Scripts + Web Services).
5- Each layer should be treatable as composite/individual
entity
6- Z-indexing of various layers
7- Show/hide any layer
8- Transparency for overlapping layer (must be configurable
for each layer)
9- Save the complete document with all layers in some format
(preferably in xml format)

Yes, with a bit of a caveat for #1. The maximum size of a
bitmap is 2880x2880 pixels (but you could display multiple bitmaps
in a layer if needed).
The Flash display list lends itself pretty naturally to a
layered system (which isn't too surprising since that's essentially
what the Flash Authoring tool does).There's a good description of
the display list in the Programming ActionScript chapter of the
Flex and Flash docs:

Data Federator and Information Design tool

let me explain :
in BI 4.0, the Data Federator Query Server engine is now part of the server-side Adaptive Processing Server .
You only invoke this architecture when you select "Multi Source Enabled" - any other entry point is NOT using the Data Federation Service.
So - if you select SingleSource - that's not using DF.
However, it is entirely possible to select "Multi Source Enabled" then only use 1 connection in the MSU !!
Having said the above, Your second question doesn't make sense.
Unless you mean, using the Data Federator middleware driver in BI 4.0 IDT, to connect to an XI 3.1 Data Federator Query Server? (i.e. consuming the 'old source' in the new enviornment)
This backwards compatibility was delivered to facilitate transition of DF customers, especially since there is no standalone DF product in BI 4.0 (yet)

SAP CRM 7.0 - Interactive reporting tool enhancing reports with new fields

Hi Everyone,
I am a BW Professional, currently working on evaluating the true benefits of implementing Interactive Reporting tool for our company. As I understand the Interactive reporting tool restricts us to report on individual reporting areas like Activities, Leads, Opportunties etc.
But according to our business it is very important for us to be able to report on cross reporting areas real time i.e. activities & leads together or activties, leads & opportunties together etc.
I learned about the enhancement work bench in interactive reporting tool where we can add SAP fields to individual reporting areas, so I thought of adding leads & opportunties to activities. This is where the fun part starts.
Here I learned that all activty ID, Lead ID and Oppo ID are all fed from one single field from SAP CRM i.e. OBJECT_ID, which means the system is dividing this data into individual reporting areas based on type of data i.e. leads or oppor's etc. and may be based on some key like account etc. So here is a technical question, for me to add a new field to a reporting area I have to give a field name but we already have OBJECT_ID from where I am pulling activties data, so if I want to include leads also in activties then I will have to add some logic manually to get that and can't use enhancement workbench because it is for missing fields from SAP CRM whereas in my case I already have OBJECT_ID from where I am getting Activity data.
Sorry if I am driving you guys crazy but I am just trying to think loud to make myself clear with concepts.
Also I have seen that a reporting area in Interactive reporting tool is based on a BW query, but I am not sure why not all the fields in BW query are available for reporting in Interactive reporting tool?
Any help or commets will be greatly appreciated.

checking with the config wizard is always a good idea since it's the only supported way to configure this scenario
The secret is that you apparently did not activate the report areas. It is a bit missleading that the queries are checked before the report areas are checked, therefore you see the errors concerning the queries first. Below those errors you should find some lines like
    Report areas: delivered 15, active <?>
    CRM interactive reports: delivered 20, active <?>
    Activation of report areas checked
The last line offers some documentation and the actual link to activate the report areas.

Can Flex make a Design Tool with a quality output file?

Hi there,
I have a team of developers working on a web-based design tool for a large-format print shop. They built the prototype on a Flex platform and used ImageMagick to handle text and image effects.
Unfortunately, ImageMagick cannot produce the quality of output file we need for our products (prints up to 3 ft by 6 ft / 1m x 2m). It rasterizes all of the design objects, including text and vector clipart.
Is it possible for Flex to handle all of these elements (object rotation, scale changes, etc.) and output a final design to high quality PDF or AI files without ImageMagick?
I'm just not sure if my developers are missing something or if they're just not communicating the technical challenges involved in creating such large, high quality output files for a custom, web-based application.

I'm still not sure I understand what you need. Sounds like the image map is the same for all the pages, but the image itself is different, although the images are the same size on each page. Is that it?
In that case, you could do this in a number of ways, but the best might be -
Make the page have a transparent PNG/GIF image the same size as the map that has the 5 mapped areas defined on it. Make the container for that image have a CSS BACKGROUND image that is the actual map. Specify this CSS background image's path in an embedded stylesheet in the editable region of the head of the page.
With this as the template, all you need to do on each page is to respecify the background image - since the embedded stylesheet is in an editable region that's do-able. In other words the TEMPLATE would be -

How do I access In Design tool from my Adobe CS5 Production Premium?

As I recall, InDesign was not included in the Production Premium package, which was targeted at video production.

Graphic Design Tools

Are there any tools that help with developing graphics in a visual way. Something that lets you draw Java2d shaps in a Visio or autocade type way and then generates code.
Even past that is there a visual tool that helps you do animations?
I would be interested in hearing about free and non-free software?

The ideal would be something similar to the design tools that Adobe puts out for flash :), but I would settle for a tool that lets me do any of the following. By do I mean provide me a visual GUI where I am visually working with objects and when I am done given a code output much like the swing form editor for netbeans. They are ordered by how important they are to me.
- Draw shapes in a way where I can move them around, change layers, change properties like fill, line width ect.
- Run operations on them (subtract a circle from a square ect.)
- Animate the shapes.
- Assign event listeners to the shapes.
- Pimp my ride while telling me what an attractive man I am.

How I can set ORG_ID context (for Oracle Apps Views) in ODI designer tool?

I want to get data from apps views (like OE_ORDER_HEADER_V) into our data warehouse detination table using ‘Oracle Data Integrator’ tool.
The issue is that when I reverse Oracle Table or Synonym directly, everything works fine i.e. after 'Interface' execution, I can see how many rows imported into destination table from this source Oracle table/synonym.
But when I use Apps view as a source then 'Interface' executes fine with ‘no error’ but NO rows imports to the destination table.
I believe, the only difference is that I am not able to set Org_Id before executing ODI interface so it is not picking the data.
Please let me know the steps/instructions to set org_id context on apps view then reverse in ODI Designer tool.
Please note that I can set org_id using SQLPlus successfully as given below (and see data using the same Apps view). What to do in ODI designer tool to achieve similar data:

not to include the table mode in BI 7.0.
Solution
There is (in our opinion) a better alternative to the table view:
Create a query with only one structure and use
Report Designer to design your own table view. This allows you
to arrange the columns and many other
formatting and grouping options as you wish.

I want to create ChildEmp object for display in web-i report. How can i use recursive in Information Design Tools? or Do you have other solution for this?

Hi,
NoDim is a function of the Bex query formula , so you can't delegate that to the cube.
What object is, and what are you trying to do.   For example, Sales, and trying to leave out Currency attribute.
You can do an awdful of customizing in a Business Layer or Data Foundation, that is where your solution where probably come from.
