  • How to do an interactive form with tables

I've been asked to recreate an interactive form that was created using several tables. The tables are made up of cells that contain labels of what information is required, followed by blank cells where the user can put the information (text fields). A few of the cells are to contain drop down menus that will contain a list of answers to choose from (combo boxes). I kind of like the idea of doing it in a table just because it keeps everything lined up automatically.
I am a Lynda.com subscriber, and I found a course on that site that shows how to create interactive forms with InDesign, but it just breezes past doing it with tables. It says you can do it, but doesn't show how. The problem is, one table can contain all three types of cells that I plan to use. I can select the whole table and then choose "Type" in the Buttons and Forms panel, but I would think that would turn the whole table into just one type of field. I can't seem to figure out how to select individual cells of the table to choose different types.
Is there a way to do that?

    This is work around
1- Draw a rectangle frame, and without release mouse use up and right arrow key to define rows and columns count and use Ctrld+ down arrow key to reduce space between rows and Ctrl+left arrow key to reduce space between column.
    2- Covert frames to Buttons.

    Hi Otto,
Sorry for replying lately. First of all  I did not get your suggestions as your are editing the same posting.
Secondly we will be using WDJ. Actually in between SAP Portal and ECC we are having adobe LCES so we need to create Interactive form using XML only. Once it is filled again the form will be submitted to another application which is running on FLEX, which will process the order.
if you can give me your personal id i can send you the detailed process
    Thanks

  • Loadrunner 11 and Adobe interactive forms

I'm currently on-site for SAP Italy and the client wants to use Loadrunner 11 to test a business process that requires Adobe interactive forms.
eCATT is not acceptable to the client
Can you advise me if the question about this being possible using Loadrunner 11 has been answered ? Has anyone actually done this using LR and if so would you share details ?
I note that in the HP Forum that this topic is currently live.
    jc

    Hello Brenda,
yes, we've tested eCATT with interactive forms. It works so far, but the question is what is the goal of your test?
Using eCATT ADS, the application, and the business logic behind is tested. If that is your goal, using eCATT is an appropriate solution.
Regarding Loadrunner-Tests I'm not the expert. But within the solution an ActiveX does posts to the server using encoded URLs. So there are several problems:
    - is loadrunner able to record those posts?
    - is loadrunner able to modify URL parameters dependend on the current session?
    - is loadrunner able to use the response of such a post and dynamically adapt a post parameter of the subsequent post?
So I think it is at least very difficult and complex to use loadrunner. I recommend eCATT as the solution for automated tests of InteractiveForms.

  • Adobe Interactive Form via Blackberry?

I have scoured this site looking for information related to Blackberry access to Adobe Interactive Forms. The only small bit of information I found was from note 1002905 which is dated back to 11/2006. I am wondering if there exists any solution out there now for Blackberry access to interactive forms. We are implementing HCM Processes and Forms for MSS/HRAS and most all of our managers are use to working off their Blackberrys for their current MSS apps....so yeh, this is kind of a biggy for them. I know we can run the Webdynpro on the Blackberry, so our hurdle now is to be able to actually reference the form within the Webdynpro from the Blackberry. Any information will be most appreciated!

    Hi Chris,
Were you able to design any solution for Blackberry. If yes, can you please help me.
    Regards,
    Amit

  • Way to save adobe interactive form onto any common location in the server

    Hi,
I have a couple of requirements to implement and wanted to have a clear idea on how these can be implemented and time it will take.
The requirements are: I will be developing an application using NWDS which will have interactive form in it and once this form is filled online and clicked on the submit button the form should get stored in a common location in server so that it can be retreved and editted later on.
And during the click of submit button the whole form also should get posted to HELPDESK at the same time via mail.
Now is there by any chance i can send the whole form to a particular mail id ? and can i save the form in a common destination for future access ?
    Thanks a ton in advance,
    Vipin.

    Hi Vipin,
This help on interactive forms will help you to resolve the problem
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/dc/f1783fe3263042e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
see source code of the onActionsubmit method in the controller implementation to save the pdf file in a particular location.
In the same way you can write some custom source code in onActionsubmit  to send a mail. You can get the source code in any one of the standard java sites available.
Revert back on this if you need more information.

    Saleem

  • Interactive Forms objects in workflow

    Hi everbody,
I'm currently trying to configure a workflow scenario with Interactive Forms by Adobe.
My problem is to initiate a workflow object with interactive forms. From my understanding the object type "dynp_form" in workflow builder doesn't have to do with interactive forms. Which object type do I have to use?
My next question is: can I use the predefined forms from SAP Forms Builder (SFP) in the workflow?
I thought about ISR-Wizard to define a form in the QISRCONF. But this doesn't seem to work either.
I have already configured the Adobe Document Services. The test program FP_PDF_TEST_00 works.
    I'm working on SAP NW '04s ECC6.
    Thanks for your replies,
    Olaf

    Hi,
Welcome to Adobe Interactive Forms Development.
Well to start with, you got two options to go ahead...
    Option-1 :
Using ISR Based Adobe Interactive Forms Development, where we develop forms using SFP transaction and attach them to a scenario which is defined in QISRSCENARIO txn. To get a better understanding about this ISR/PCR's, check this one.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/54/957e40ec66ce62e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
    Option-2 :
Using Web Dynpro based Adobe Interavtive Forms Development, where we design our Web Dynpro Application which has the Adobe Form. To have a better understanding of this development scenario, check this site.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/42/c1151c55b33119e10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm
Well coming to your Workflow related query, My suggestion is to refer the Standard PCR based Workflows WS50000031 & WS50000041.
Yes, you can very much use the Standard forms in your custom workflows, for this you require to attach your workflow template number to the ISR Scenario.
My replies are well understood only after refering to the above mentioned links.
    Hope this helps.

  • Populate interactive form HTML

I have an interactive form that I created using Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8.0. I am trying to populate these fields from an HTML form. After many trial and errors, I came across this site that says that FDF is not compatible with LiveCycle. I am looking for another alternative to be able to fill the PDF form via PHP 4. Preferably, an open source solution.

I have the same problem. Any Idea?
    Tanks for all.

  • Interactive Form Counter?

I have a user that wants to be able to create interactive forms for ticket orders through our team resources department. I was going to walk her through the steps of making an interactive pdf but I was told by another team member that interactive forms have a "counter" on them and can only be used "500" times before you have to repost the document? The only thing I could find on the site was something about a 2d barcode license but I'm not sure that has anything to do with the forms she was going to be creating. Is there a license for interactive forms?

    Hi Gopal,
By default composite forms will be disabled....
Check whether you have configured your Visual Admin's  "compositeforms.enable" as given in this [link|http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_03/helpdata/EN/89/d084428254b767e10000000a155106/frameset.htm]
In the above link click "Configuration for Guided Procedures Forms", you can find the configuration to be done
    Thanks

  • Automatic deployment of Interactive Forms through CBS and Transport Studio?

    Good evening!
I just finished my last changes on my first Web Dynpro project and a local build and deployment worked without problems.
Now, when I check in the changes into DTR, activate and release the files, then my changes on different web pages are displayed but now the Interactive Form that worked before is no longer generated and no error message can be found.
We are currently using Netweaver 2004 on our development systems with Web AS 6.40 PatchLevel 108290.313 on AIX 5.3 as our development portal.
So, could you tell me where I can find errors of the Adobe Document Service ? I think that the problem is somehow connected to the ADS, but I am absolutely unsure.
Thank you for your answers and for your help.
    Regards,
    Sascha

We actually didn't have a problem with the transport studio and CBS, it all had to do with the usage of different browsers on the development system (with IE) and our development portal (which I tested from my local computer with Firefox) ... the problem was once again sitting between keyboard and chair.
