Interactive Image not centered if 24-bit PNG dimensions are large, 3000 x 1750.

The image is cutoff on the left side.
If the borders are expanded to display entire image, the right side has empty space.
This happens with mulitple images, all of which are exported Photoshop PNG-24.
Same image resized to 1680 x 1050 via Preview.app is fine. Any thoughts?
Thanks!
Calbe

K - you mention your image size is 1680 x 1050
Can I ask why its that size as the iPad display is 1024 x 768

  • Interactive Image Not Centered

    When I add a new interactive image to a page, then drag-and-drop and image into that widget, the image is not centered within the frame. Rather it is skewed toward left-of-center by about 10%. Changing the image scaling doesn't fix it. Changing the outer dimensions of the widget doesn't fix it. Nothing I've tried will make an image appear centered within the interactive image widget. Any ideas?
    Note that I've tried this only with landscape oriented images on a landscape oriented page -- so I don't know if the issue exists for portrait mode images.

    Hi Schwerd:
    Yeah. I just tried it with a portrait oriented image, and it shifts up in the frame. So what I'm seeing is that, if the image is wider than it is tall, it shifts left of center. And if it's taller than it is wide, it shifts up.

  • Poster image not centering in browser

    My poster image (for viewing in IE8) is not centering in the browser window. It's displaying as left aligned with a big gap to the right of the image. How do I fix?

    Thank you Hemanth, that is exactly what I am referring to. One final question though, as I am by no means an HTML guru...do I add the snippet while I'm in Edge or do I open the HTML file in Dreamweaver and add the code there?
    If in Edge, where do I access the code to add it (and where does it go)?
    If in Dreamweaver...here is the code for my file, where  would I place the snippet?

  • Image not centered in Mobile view?

    I am working in DW CS6.  Originally I set the images in mobile view to text-align: center and they did show up centered.  The CSS styles panel still shows they are centered but  they show up to the left side in DW CS6.   However when I click on F12 to see the site in the Firefox browser they show up perfectly centered.  What have I done that causes the images in mobile view to show to the left side.  Also when I am in DW CS6 the green overlay occasionally does not work even if I check or uncheck the "Hide all visual aids" and "fluid grid layout guides" items.  Some times it does and sometimes it doesn't.  What am I doing wrong?  Thanks in advance.

    Open your Template.dwt in code view.  Remove this link.

  • Images not centered properly

    I'm having a bit of an issue with the centering of a picture in imovie, i drag and drop the image into i movie, (on the timelin and clips) but for some strange reason the picture is or becomes off centered, in fact any pictures i drag n drop become off centered, if i open these pics outside of imovie the pics view centered (normal). Is there some kind of setting i switched? things were working normally today, (pics were centered). I installed Apple X11 today to use Gimp (image editor) after this install the pics became off centered,i wouldnt think this installation would have an effect in imovie.. could it ?? weird...

  • Gallery images not centered

    I have made a slideshow widget inside a slideshow widget and in the Muse application I have centered everything but when I publish, the images shift.
    I can not figure out at all what is causing this. I have done this before in another site and it works perfect.
    Any ideas what is causing this?
    Here is the site:  www.craigillustrations.com

    After reboot...
    Open terminal
    devel-Su
    rootme
    tracker-control -r
    This will completely reset it.
    Reboot after then try it and report back.
    If fixed, please mark this post as solution to help others find it faster.

  • Interactive image not working

    I insert the interactive widget. I bring in an image and create the labels. I Set View. I click on Show Interactive Tools. But when I go to the iPad it shows the images with the labels but the photo is out of focus, the labels are out of focus, and there are no Interactive Tools. Any ideas would be appreciated.

    I have this in the wrong forum and I think I may know the problem. It is now working fine since I removed 30 minutes worth of videos from my ibook.

  • Image not centered

    I just got a Mac Mini late 2012 and hooked it up to a monitor using a Thunderbolt-HDMI cable.  The image - even the startup screen - is off center.  Has anyone else heard of this problem?  The same thing happened when I used an HDMI-DVI cable.  Image was OK with the Thunderbolt-DVI adapter supplied with the unit.
    Thanks.

    Could it be that the HDMI output on the computer is faulty?  The problem occurs when I'm using HDMI.
    It is just as likely that the problem is the monitor's HDMI input. What does the manual say about the monitor's input modes?

  • Image not showing but all metadata and files are in place

    Using Aperture 2.1.4 and getting ready to upgrade to 3.1. I am finding that in several of my projects Aperture is not displaying some images. I get the famous dotted line and grayed out image. The metadata is in place and when I check the contents of the AP library everything seems to be in place.
    Now this is happening to images that have received editing but nothing outside of AP only local adjustments. I tried re-building the library but nothing changed. I've considered re-importing the images and deleting the grayed out versions only this can be really time consuming as there are 13,000 files in my library. Not to mention all the work I have into the adjustments would be lost.
    Has anyone else come across something like this? I tried searching the topic to no avail.
    Thanks!

    Hello Christopher.
    As you have discovered, the short user name for a user cannot be changed.
    If you want to use a different short user name, you must create a new user (this requires administrator privileges). You can then move items from your previous home folder to your new home folder if you wish.
    Check About the home folder's name and My home folder and desktop are different than before to correct it.

  • Why can't I export a 24 bit PNG with alpha transparency?

    I have just upgraded my Macromedia Studio 8 to Adobe CS3, and
    it seems that I still can't export a 24 bit png with transparency
    from Fireworks (Photoshop can do it, but it's just not suited for
    volume graphic production). Anyone know something I don't, or can
    someone at least explain why I can have alpha transparency on 8 bit
    and 32 bit, but not 24 bit pngs? Currently, I'm planning to export
    everything from Fireworks, then batch-process through Photoshop to
    reduce from 32 bit to 24 bit, which is just... gah! Words fail
    me.

    If I'm correct, 8-bit png supports index transparency just
    like GIF's
    do. 32-bit png's support alpha channel transparency, so you
    can get
    variable or partial transparency in a full color image(8 bits
    for each
    color and 8 bits for an alpha channel) and 24-bit png's are
    similar
    jpegs, only you get lossless compression and no user-defined
    settings.
    So essentially, when you export a 32-bit png file you are
    exporting a 24
    bit color image with an 8-bit alpha channel.

  • Graphics, ImageIO, and 32-bit PNG images with alpha-channels

    I have a series of 32-bit PNG images, all with alpha channels. I'm using ImageIO.read(File) : BufferedImage to read the PNG image into memory.
    When I call graphics.drawImage( image, 0, 0, null ); I see the image drawn, however all semi-transparent pixels have a black background, only 100% transparent pixels in the source image are transparent in the drawn image.
    The Graphics2D instance I'm drawing to is obtained from a BufferStrategy instance (I'm painting onto an AWT Canvas).
    Here's my code:
    Loading the image:
    public static BufferedImage getEntityImage(String nom, String state) {
              if( _entityImages.containsKey(nom) ) return _entityImages.get( nom );
              String path = "Entities\\" + nom + "_" + state + ".png";
              try {
                   BufferedImage image = read( path );
                   if( image != null ) _entityImages.put( nom, image );
                   return image;
              } catch(IOException iex) {
                   iex.printStackTrace();
                   return null;
         private static BufferedImage read(String fileName) throws IOException {
              fileName = Program.contentPath + fileName;
              File file = new File( fileName );
              if( !file.exists() ) return null;
              return ImageIO.read( new File( fileName ) );
         }Using the image:
    Graphics2D g = (Graphics2D)_bs.getDrawGraphics();
    g.setRenderingHint( RenderingHints.KEY_ANTIALIASING , RenderingHints.VALUE_ANTIALIAS_ON);
    public @Override void render(RenderContext r) {
              Point p = r.v.translateWorldPointToViewportPoint( getLoc() );
              int rad = getRadius();
              int x = (int) p.x - (rad / 2);
              int y = (int) p.y - (rad / 2);
              BufferedImage image = Images.getEntityImage( getCls(), "F" );
              r.g.drawImage( image, x, y, null );
         }

    You may want to check on you system and see what ImageReaders are available, it could be ImageIO is just not picking the best one, if not, then you can use getImageReaders to get an iterator of image readers, then choose the more appropriate one.

  • Images in the full screen lightbox are not centered horizontally on the screen. Is there a way to center the images?

    I have tried it in different screen sizes but teh result is all same. Horizontally images are slightly on the right. How can I center the images?

    Hi,
    Thanks for your answer. It is ok when using the lightbox without full screen option. When I use the fullscreen option, the container of the image is centered but the image in the container is not. I do center everything but when it comes to full scren there is nothing like centering.

  • Images Not Being Saved as 16-bit

    Hello,
    We are using a Basler acA2000-340km camera.  I am able to capture frames in 10-bit and 12-bit pixel bit depth successfully.  However when I try to save those frames to disk they are only being saved in 8-bit format.  I tried using both .tif and .png images.  I am using the imgSessionSaveBufferEx() function to save the image.
    I noticed in MAX 10-bit and 12-bit acquired frames are correctly being saved as 16-bit images.  What am I missing here?
    Thank you.

    Hello Amit,
    Yes the image was acquired in 10-bit and stored in a 16-bit buffer.  I tried both TIF and PNG formats.  It looks like the problem is that NI needs to be specifically told that the image is 16-bit.  I am hoping that I don't need to create customized camera files just to set the bit depth.  I was hoping I could do it through one of the attributes.
    Are you coding in C++?  How are you indicating that you have 16-bit images?

  • Why do QTVR interactive images do not function properly or at all?

    QTVR interactive images do not function properly. Check this page out in firefox and then in safari and see the difference.....
    http://www.edfruinphotography.com/MILLCITY_2.html

    I have Safari 5.1.7. I am using Mac Snow Leopard.
    That page is using Flash as well as Quicktime. With Firefox, when I drag the cursor, there is no movement until I let go of the button. That makes it very jerky.
    You could try disabling hardware acceleration and see if that works better with Firefox, in Preferences > Advanced > General.
