Interactive PDF book buttons not working -?

I have an InDesign book containing 14 files/chapters with a total of 417 pages set up to be interactive. I've exported this many, many times without issues, but now when I export, the buttons on the first page that link to other chapters no longer work. I've tried reassigning the link but it still doesnt work. Any ideas what could be causing this?
Could packaging the files have caused something to be lost? I did recently package the files and I'm not sure if its been exported since then. I have tried on multiple computers. Any ideas for fixes or even how to fix it in acrobat?

I found that if I convert the button back to an object, then into a button again, they work. But this creates a lot of extra work with rollovers, I'm still interested if anyone has any other solutions.

URGENT: Interactive PDF some buttons not working

Hey,
I am having a big problem with interactive PDFs at the moment, evrything has been working perfectly until this morning it decides to go pear shaped - the day before the PDF is needed at a show tomorrow. I have made many interactive PDFs so I know what I am doing but this time I have tried everything and still not getting it to work.
The document is a 61 page, sectioned PDF with a mixture of buttons - go to destination and also next/previous page.
The next/previous page buttons work fine, but the go to bookmark buttons will not work anymore!
I have re-built all the buttons and bookmarks, but still having this problem. This was all running perfect for the last 2 weeks but now it won't work.
Any ideas?

Creative Cloud CS6 (Indesign and Acrobat Pro)
Edit: Exporting to SWF works just fine

The problem was the document source name, has to match the document you are using. I was saving 3 x different files for 3 different purposes, and the bookmarks were getting confused.

Interactive e-mail button not working in Acrobate X

I am having a problem with a PDF document that was created for me a while ago. Ever since I have upgared my reader from 9 to X(10) the interactive 'email' button that appears on every page of the document no longer launches my email client. This is a text button that launches my email client and attaches the PDF for emailing.
I have completely uninstalled X, re-installed 9 and everything works fine. Upgrade (or clean install) back to X and the buttons no longer work again.
Anyone know what gives?
Also, the inteactive close button has never worked - Always just comes up with a dailog box saying 'this action cannot be performed'??? Any ideas????

Not that I have any hope of getting this addressed, but I was also having a problem with the "close" button function and get the oh so helpful "this action cannot be performed" message. However, oddly, after doing the exact same thing — creating a button in InDesign with a rollover "look" but no function, exporting to interactive PDF and opening in Acrobat — about a dozen times, all of a sudden it worked. I have no idea why and I did NOTHING differently. Buggy. Just like many of the other things about interactive PDFs. Seems like Adobe has backed off promoting the whole thing somewhat and I'm assuming this kind of thing is why.

Problem is that developing a fully compatible PDF viewer is a very complex task that requires a lot of time and effort, so they decided (it seems) to settle for something that's "good enough". So now users are stuck with something that usually does an OK job when it comes to just displaying a simple PDF file, but as soon as you have a more complex file (for example, one with form fields) it breaks down entirely and either fails to load the file at all, or does so incorrectly, and the developers are left sorting out the mess...

Pdf object postMessage not working in FF 22

Hi,
After updating my FF to 22, i seen pdf object postMessage function does not working. We used adbove livecycle intraactive pdf forms to collect the data from the user.
When user click the save button from the pdf, postMessage function called, but after update this not getting execute.
For your reference i include the URL which also had the same problem. I also tried without addons.

This is likely the fault of Livecycle Interactive. Most likely, Adobe has not yet provided an update for supporting Firefox 22. I would recommend informing adobe support about it.

Show hiide Buttons not working in andorid OS and windows mobile OS

I made a file in Indesign CS6. This file has a map with dots on it. When a user clicks a dot, an info box pops up giving info about that dot. He clicks the box to make it dissappear and can click another dot for the next info. I achieved this using the hide and show feature of buttons and exported using interactive Pdf. The file works fine on a windows Pc but it does not work on andorid or windows mobile platform. How can I make it work for both?

I assume that you're talking about Show-Hide Fields in an interactive PDF. It's not likely that it will work given the limitations of most PDF readers on mobile devices.
I'm a user of an iPad and iPhone, and haven't worked with Android or Windows devices but I think the issues are the same on all platforms. Some PDF readers are better than others. You didn't say what PDF reader you were testing on.

The best PDF reader for iOS devices is PDF Expert, but I don't believe that exists for Android or Windows devices. I can view interactivity that Adobe Reader doesn't support.

Reset, hold both home and power buttons until the iPhone begins to start, try this a few times if necessary. If still problem, you may have to just Restore your iPhone to get it working. In the future sync your iPhone with iTunes routinely and when it contains important data, iCloud when set correctly will do this for you continuously.

Especially holding the trackpad mouse button upon restart and resetting the SMC.
If it's stuck in there you might have to make a "guide" out of two thin pieces of plastic. Post back if that's the case.

logitech mouse buttons not working in photoshop cc 2014 winds 8.1. Is this a common problem?
I have updated the latest drivers and have a few buttons programmed with keyboard shortcuts that used to work in previous versions of Photoshop but don't work now.
Scrolling with mouse in bridge stopped working in cc butI see it is now working.

Many Photoshop extensions are not compatible with Photoshop CC 2014 for Adobe removed support for Flash Panels in CC 2014. Many extensions panels are flash based. Check with the developer to see if their blendmein extension works with CC 2014.
Adobe does not maintain Photoshop so it backward compatible with prior versions of Photoshop. This brakes things like action scripts plugins extensions etc. Keep old version of Photoshop installed....

Apple answer is - no answer. It is a shame that the quality of their products, in terms of design and concept, is not match by a care for customers. It is not normal that I, as a customer, have to spend hours reading Apple Discussions forum to try to understand what the problem is. A little more respect for a customer that spend big $$$ buying their products wouldn't hurt.

Apple, as I said, does not repair your iPhone. All hardware service issues are handled by replacing the unit. So they can't handle the home-button issue without also addressing the issue of the cracked screen, for which they'll almost certainly charge you. But you can make an appointment at an Apple Store or call Apple tech support and plead your case.

I bought an iPhone 4 less than a year ago, then one day the home button randomly stopped working, I bought the warranty so I decided to call in and see what was wrong with it. The girl said that restoring the phone would correct the problem which it did. But it is only a temporary fix, it happens more often now. So I was meaning to call in soon, but the other day my phone fell out of my pocket IN CASE from a foot height and cracked the screen. I nearly threw up. All the years I have had a phone I have never cracked or broken one, strongest screen my ***. Anyway, if I contact them again now will they fix the home button problem? or will they say that the cracked screen is obviously the cause of the home button not working? which it is not!! I don't care about the screen being cracked its not on the actual screen just on the side so its irrelevant to me. Plus I heard it is outrageosly pricey to replace.
