Interactivity in the portfolio

Hello, is it possible to have interactivity (link, video, ect....) to be played in the portfolio? so i don't have to open the file ?
And, is it possible to have it in full screen (the portfolio) ? i want to use it for presentation on a pc tablet.

Hi experts.
We managed to solve the issue.
We found out that the new system 6.0 contains an extra field “Version” that did not
exist in 4.5. Because the field was not populated the initiatives were not pulling through in the initiative dashboard.We populated all the fields in the table now all is okay.

Firefox has trouble initiating, and when it finally does, every time I attempt to interact with the application it stops responding.

Firefox won’t initialize: I can open any program on my computer except for Firefox so it isn't that my computer is slow. It doesn't open at all no matter how long I wait. I've left the room and let the computer run before and it still wasn’t running when I came back. After a few clicks it finally it comes up, and I have to wait because I’ve clicked multiple times so of course it's going to open multiple times. When I'm online after successfully closing all but one Firefox window so that I don't crash my poor laptop, every time I attempt to interact with the program via clicking a link, opening a new tab, or typing something into the URL bar, the program freezes and goes into the not responding stage. Rarely, an unresponsive script message will pop up.

HT5706 I have not used my apple tv in a few years, and just got it out of the bag. I connected it up, and it cannot set date, time. it also does not interact with the remote. Could it be as simple as a new batter is needed for remote?

Status at the time of creating the portfolio assets and Inactvo

Hi need you please inform me the functionality that is active or inactive status by creating a portfolio because the portfolio to create inactive allows modifications.
You must perform some coniguracòn to allow the portfolio to create inactive status does not allow any modifications to change the statue to active

Thanks for the response, per still do not understand which is the ability to handle the active and inactive status when creating a portfolio portaflio.Al create the inactive status but does not change the status can create new buckets and Items. Taking rather inactive status should not appraise modifying or creating buckets and items. Since the test was performed with a restrained but equally User defined allows the porafolio modficar.

Opening a linked Document in a Portfolio closes the Portfolio

I created a Portfolio (with XI Pro) that contains to PDF files – A and B. I created a hyperlink from A to B according to http://forums.adobe.com/message/3560959 that opens B at the desired page. That works fine.
When I open the two files individually from the Portfolio the container remains in the background and comes to front when I close A and/or B (as desired). However, when I open file B using the link in file A the Portfolio container gets closed.
Is there any possibility that the Portfolio container stays in the background when using the hyperlink?

Customise the Portfolio Colours (Acrobat 9 Pro)

We are using a portfolio as a legal casebook. The Home view shows the list of files in the portfolio, with a preview of the currently selected file.
My question is, can we configure the colours of the user interface? The file list fill colour is currently a darkish grey, with the selected row in a greenish brown, and the headings in dark grey (white lettering). Could we change these colours to, say, white, light blue and dark blue?
I don't see any way to do this at present, so I'll suggest this as a new feature.

Simple answer, no.
In Acrobat 9 the ability to change colors of PDF Portfolio layouts was very limited, this has been addressed in Acrobat X with the introduction of themes. However the layout only affects the animated navigator, not the other elements of the user interface. The 'details' table, toolbars, etc. cannot be skinned.

Is there a way to tell if a pdf is a portfolio without the Portfolio SDK installed?

I am developing a plugin that I do not want active when the document is a Portfolio. Is there a way to determine if a pdf is a Portfolio using only the Adobe Acrobat SDK?

The Portfolio SDK is for BUILDING Portfolios – it doesn’t tell you anything about whether one is (or is not) a Portfolio.
I believe there is a PDDocIsCollection() API that will answer this question.

Is it possible to control the height of the Portfolio panel via the PDF Portfolio itself?

Hi All,
Is it possible to embed into a PDF Portfolio kind of a directive to Adobe Acrobat Reader what should be the height of the Portfolio panel (red line on the image below)?
The idea, basically, is to adjust the height of the panel to the number of files in the portfolio.
Alternatively, is there a way to embed a directive to open by default the Layout pane instead of the Files pane?

You can control it at initial view time, but not dynamically. Once its displayed it's user-controlled.
AFAIK, you can't open it into Layout mode.

Naming PDF's so the "Portfolio" files are viewed in date order

I'm still learning, but I can't figure out how to label a PDF so that when I create a "Portfolio", the data appears in numerical order. Hundreds of pages of bank statements need to be ordered by year and date for easy retrieval, research, etc. I would prefer to name the file "PNC #X0000 12-31-09-Wife" and have the statements ordered by date, but Oct., Nov, and Dec. mess up the order. I can also use "2009 12-31", but the same problems occur with the later months. Any established way of ordering without creating another column called Date in the "Portfolio" and a second step?? Thanks!

Naming conventions with numerical hierarchy differ according to which Windows OS you are using. In older Windows versions the naming would give precedence to anything beginning with 1, i.e. 1, 10, 11, and then 2. But if I think what your problems seems to be, try naming them the way animators name their frames--with padding. So if you have a date 1/14/2009 and a date 10/14/2009 and a date 2/14/2009 try naming the files instead as such:
01/14/2009
02/14/2009
10/14/2009
Obviously you will not use the"/" in the name -- I put that there to show you that these names are dates.

Weblogic security authentication; question to interact with the realm

Hi, I have a quick question about weblogic security authentication....
We are using weblogic 81sp3. We have user-group info in an Novell eDirectory LDAP server.
Currently, a Novell Authenticator provider is configured under : Security > Realms > myRealm > Providers > Authentication This tells Weblogic from where to get the user and groups. Weblogic caches this information of the logged on users for certain time ( example : 60 secs ) after which it cleans the cache for all inactive users. We want to interact with the Weblogic cache. Add more user profile information to this cache and use it in our application .
Does somebody know how to programmatically interact with Weblogic user-group cache - read , write , update and delete user-group info in cache and control time to live for the cache ?

No one knows if the interactive dialog will return, except adobe and adobe is not saying.
What operating system are you using?
On windows there is a way to get it back, but not if your using a mac.

This checkbox enables private key strong protection. This means that you will have to enter administrator password or confirm action each time private key is used. It will be used each time when new certificate/crl is issued. And when service starts. If
you are using HSM, you should consult with HSM documentation to determine whether your HSM requires this setting. As you don't use HSM by now, then you should not enable this checkbox, because you won't see any prompt dialog on server core.
