Interest Indicator
A basic question about field data in GL accounts. How do you know that that how many (and what are they) GL accts were checked with Interest Indicator?
thanks,
renu.
Hi Renuka,
Use Transaction code SE16 to download Chart of accounts (Table name SKB1 - which is G/L account master for company code). In the selection screen, select the relevant fields including your company code and execute. The results will reflect all fields included in this table. You could use the change layout facility to include/ exclude the fields you require for review. This will surely include the "G/L account" and the "Interest Indicator" fields. Use the sort keys to identify, which G/L accounts are included against a particular Interest indicator.

Interest indicator on customer
Hi
Suppose customer does not make payment in with in the due date.
at that time, we want to calculate interest on outstanding amount.
what is the process
please
thanks
vasDear Vas,
to build up the interest calculation settings, You have to go to IMG --> Financial accounting >Financial Accounting Global Settings>Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable>Business Transactions> Interest Calculation
and to customize all the relevant points:
Define Interest Calculation Types
Prepare Interest on Arrears Calculation
Prepare Item Interest Calculation
or
Prepare Account Balance Interest Calculation
then You have to define
Prepare Account Balance Interest Calculation
Define Time-Based Terms
Enter Interest Values
then define into the posting part
A/R: Calculation of Interest on Arrears where You have to link the G/L Account to
the symbols and to the currency
Then You have to link the interest indicator to Your Customer master data under the TAB "Account management" and run the report
RFINTITAR (FINT transaction)for customers of RFINTITAP (FINTAP transaction)for vendors.
These reports use the Form F_INTITAR_SF SMARTFORM.
I hope this can help You.

Send faxes through F110 and Interest Indicator
Hello all,
we have SAP ECC 6.0. , and it is needed to send faxes through F110 ,
1) I would like to know the steps to send a fax through the f110 transaction
2) Only send faxes for the vendors with interest indicator
3) Do you know some user exit to calculate interest with different interest indicators?
Regards
OlgaHi Olga,
For customers, to use different interest rates, and calculate the interest amount in the payment file created by transaction F110, program RFFOBR_A, you need to:
1) Go to "Define Interest Calculation Types", in customizing (SPRO).
2) Go to "Define Reference Interest Rates" in customizing (SPRO).
3) Go to "Define Time-Based Terms" in customizing (SPRO).
4) Go to Enter Interest Values in customizing (SPRO).
After, go to the customer master data, Company Code data, folder account management and fill the field "Interest Indicato" with the code created in the step 1 above.
When you run the proposal, the payment file will have the interest amount calculated considering the billing amount and the interest rate defined to the customer.
Her in Brazil, we work in this way.....
I hope that this could help you solve your issue....!!!!

Interest indicator & interest profile
Hi All,
I want to know the interest profile for a few projects. And for those proflies, I want to know the interest indicator that has been assigned from 1999 till date. So, there is a possibility that it might have been changed in between. Is there anyway to accomplish this?
Can you tell me the table name for int profile and int indicator?
Regards,
LakshmiHi Lakshmi,
The tables are as follows:
Interest Indicators: T056
Interest Profiles: TPI01
Assignment of Interest Indicators to Interest Profiles: TPI02
If you want to see the changes made for the entries then goto the TCode OPIB and from the menu select Utilities, Change Logs for a particular entry. Then you will be able to track the changes made for a particular entry.
Hope this answer helps you. Please assign points if found useful.

BP - Account management - Interest indicator
Hi
How do i set a default interest indicator on the Business Partner(company code) -( transacton code - BP)on the Customer:Account Management tab to 'RW'.
Thanks.
RendaneHi Ren,
The system does not show possible values for this field - there's nothing that you're doing wrong.
About your primary concern, you need to go to transaction OBV1 and note down the value in the field "Interest Indicator" - say it's 24. Next, go to transaction OB82, and scroll to the entry "24" and double click. You'll see the detail screen for this interest calculation indicator. On this screen, there is a field called "Calendar type". Place your cursor on it and hit <F1>. Currently, this field (for your interest indicator) would be containing "B" or "F". You need to change this to either a "G" or "J" - depending upon whether you use a month as exact number of days or regular 30 days.
This should achieve your purpose - of changing the definition of the interest indicator to be based on 365 days instead of 360 days.
if you give me brief i can help you out more.
if helpful REWARD points
Thank you .

Interest calculation on Open items and cleared items
Dear Experts
I am trying to do needful configuration for interest indicator on which interest can be calculated for open items and cleared items as well. But, system is calculating interest for open items properly, but not calculating interest on cleared items with same interest indicator, I am repeatedly getting error "interest calculation indicator is not compatible with this type of interest calculation"
Is it possible to use same interest indicator for open line items and cleared line items of customer?
If possible, request you share the needful config steps to do same.
points will be awarded for usful reply.
Best regards,
S. Habib Pasha.Hello Habib,
depending on the requests you can setup a item interest calculation or a balance interest calculation "Define calculation types".
IIC: check settings (item selection, all cleared items, only items with payment, no cleared items) "Prepare item interest calculation"
I guess you have setup the item interest calculation - maybe you have mixed some entries with BAIC.
Check in "Prepare account balance interest calculation" whether you have entries with the indicator you want to use.
At least check your entries in "Define time-based Terms" If you have entries with Balance account interest calculation the system gives even an error.
Hope this is helpfull.
Best regards

Interest calculated on items not yet due
Hi,
We have open item/document with posting date and baseline date of August 15, 2009. Payment terms attached is 30PD meaning open item is due on September 15, 2009. Interest Indicator attached to the is item interest with the following configuration:
Item Selection All cleared items
Interest determination - Ref date is 4 which is payment baseline date
Calender Type is G - 28, 31/365
Tolerance days 15 meaning even if the payment tems attached to the customer is 07FM and the customer paid on the 8th, interest will still not be computed. Computation of interest will happen in the customer paid beyond the 15th.
Calculation of interest is on debit items only
When i post the interest on August 31, interest was computed with the document i mentioned above. Taking into consideration our config for interest, interest should still not be computed since open items will be due on Sept. 15.
Or our configuration conflicting with the payment terms?
This only happen on our PD payment tems and not on FM.
Thank you.
RachelleTry updating the vault and see if Aperture keeps saying that.
Eduardo
Based on your advice, I created a vault, updated it, and the splash page message dissappeared on restart - just as you suggested it might. Thanks!
Am I right in believing the contents of the vault together with my separate backup of the referenced files themselves will enable me to recover my Aperture environment in the event I need to recover it following the loss of my 'live' system? That would be a very acceptable outcome. -
G/L Account Balance Interest Scale
hi Gurus,

Loan A/c Cr 10000
next then Go to Fbl3n xxxx loan a/c is open item balance 10000
2. F.52 G/L account Bal Interest Scale
Interest tobe Calculated some amount 1month Rs 400
Batch input session run Ok ,( No Errors )
Interest not Posted to a Particular G/L Account
ALL Setting Fulfill in Interst Calculation ( Balance )
Advance ThanksHi John,
The tables you need are going to be JDT1 (journal lines), OJDT (journal header) and possibly OACT (account master). The contents of these tables should be sufficient to calculate the balance as at a certain date. For details of the columns in each table, you could use the Query Generator or consult the database help file (which is available if you have installed the SDK).
A basic SQL query would be something like this:
SELECT T2.AcctCode as AcctCode, T2.AcctName, sum(T0.Debit - T0.Credit) FROM JDT1 T0 INNER JOIN OJDT T1 ON T0.TransId = T1.TransId INNER JOIN OACT T2 ON T0.Account = T2.AcctCode WHERE T1.RefDate <= 'YYYY-MM-DD' and T2.AcctCode = '_Sys00000000019' group by T2.AcctCode, T2.AcctName
where YYYY-MM-DD is the date you want the balance at and _Sys00000000019 is a made up account number I used as an example.
Hope this helps,

Interest Calculation for special GL items
Hi Experts,
We have posted some special GL indicator documents for the vendors, but in the interest calculation, that is not coming up.
However the system is picking up all the others debit and credit items for that vendor.
So what could be going wrong for this vendor?
Thanks in Advance,
JeenatHi,
Check the transaction code OBAB and assign your special GL transaction to your Interest Indicator.
This should solve your issue.
However this setting applies only for account balance interest calculation.
