  • BPM in Utilities

    Hi everyone,
I am SAP Utilities Consultant and interested in BPM. Recently attended Teched 2010 bangalore and gained knowledge on BPM
I am interested in the Utilities BPM area  and planning to obtain the  SAP business process expert certification.
Can anyone point me in the right direction in relation to the following?
    Utilities business process and BPM
business process modelling tools in relation to SAP BPM
advice on how to break into the BPM scenarios from an SAP  Utilities perspective.
    Thanks
    Vijay

In short:- BPM can be used in NWDS using process composer development component where u can process the business using many activities and you can provide the rules for those process using BRM( business rules management). you can find it in NWDS as rules composer. In this way u can provide the rules for ur process and model ur process.

  • Exporting Video from Premiere Elements 7.0

My students and I are having a lot of trouble exporting video onto a miniDV tape when I am done editing.  I was wondering if I was doing something wrong because it seems to stop in the middle of exporting just about every time.  It does it on 3 minutes projects and 10 minute projects.  It's really bad when I have to export more than 10 minutes.  It usually takes hours to export video and it's very frustrating because I have to keep redoing it over and over.  Please help!!!

Hi, Stan. Yes, I did see and respond to your private question.
As for Tune Up, I may check it out, at your recommendation. I'm always interested in new utilities.
I wouldn't worry about it "downgrading" the priority of Premiere Elements to Normal. Not unless it affects the program's performance for you. That is, after all, what it is by default.
If Tune Up is doing as well as you say, the program may run just fine in Normal priority!

  • CPU Usage storing location

Server admin deliver usefull graphics about CPU and Network usage.
Does anyone know where and how these data are stored ?

You can get that graph with the APIs from top.
Apple hasn't particularly discussed the innards of Server Admin AFAIK, though they have published various C and SNMP and Mac OS X APIs for retrieving performance information.
I might guess you're not looking to create a program here, based on your responses.
Might Activity Monitor be of interest? (Applications > Utilities > Activity Monitor?) [It can do this|http://macperformanceguide.com/Mac-MonitoringTips.html]
There are various other similar tools you can download posted around the 'net, too, using any of the various APIs.

  • I believe that I deleted some important files from the utilities section. Im interested to upgrade my Mac to  OS X Mountain Lion. If I do so, will OS X Mountain replace my deleted files? At the moment I'm running Mac OS x 10.6.8

I believe that I deleted some important files from the utilities section.
Im interested to upgrade my Mac to  OS X Mountain Lion.
If I do so, will OS X Mountain replace my deleted files?
At the moment I'm running Mac OS x 10.6.8

Yes, if it is something that was installed as part of OSX to start with.  If you're missing Onyx, well that isn't part of Apple's software and you'll have to get it from the source.
Depending upon the significance of the application there are ways do a custom installation of software rather than the whole operating system.  I use a much older operating system version so I cannot be very reliable on the specifics.

  • Calculate interest on Security Deposit at the time of invoice?

    Dear All,
I have a requirement of calculating interest at the time of invoicing.
I did the following configuration in spro:
SAP Utilities ->Invoicing->Invoice Processing->Define Control for additional invoicing functions
I clicked at the Int:Cash Security Deposit button.
But when I execute transaction EA10 (Creating invoice) , interest is not calculated on the security deposit.
All the configuration w.r.t interest calculation is correct.
Please let me know if anybody has any solution to this.
    Warm regards,
    Rahul

    Hi Rahul,
To calculate interest on any line item, we have to assign a interest key to it.
Take the FICA document created for Security Deposit and open it into FPE2 and goto change document:Item and then click on Tab Dunn. Data. Provide the interest key over here and then RUN your invoicing.
    Regards,
    Gaurav.

  • How to get back utilities, system preferences and safari

The utilities was lost in my iMac, and so did safari. Maybe my boy deleted them in mistake, he is interested in finding the secret of iMac since I bought it three months ago. I can't launch system preferences to change the setting of iMac, and thanks God, I can connect to internet by firefox. How can I get back utilities and safari? Do I need to reload the OS X 10.4.4 then update to 10.4.9 again?

Your entire Utilities folder and/or its contents was deleted?
If so, I suggest performing an Archive & Install selecting preserve user and network settings. If not and you don't know exactly what your boy deleted (have you checked the Trash?), performing an A&I will take care of everything known or unknown at once.
    http://www.thexlab.com/faqs/archiveinstall.html
Now is also a good time to create a backup - preferably a bootable clone backup of your entire hard drive saved to an external firewire drive used for backup purposes only.
And I also suggest creating a computer login account for your boy WITHOUT admin privileges and disable automatic login for your admin account which will require manually entering your log in password for your admin account during a computer startup, restart and with Fast User Switching.
Before stepping away from your Mac or whenever it will be used by anyone that is unattended by you, log out from your account.
Keep the install package for your Mac in a safe place but in a location that is not known by your boy.

  • Thinkpad SystemUpdate - Language settings for downloaded utilites?

There seem to be slight troubles in the way how Lenovo's SystemUpdate keeps (or does not keep) track of regional, language-dependent settings.
Scenario: Installed a clean Windows (english, non-T61-specific) XP SP2 on a T61, copied and installed T61-specific network drivers and SystemUpdate and then started automatic SystemUpdate search and install.
Problem: SystemUpdate loads and installs mixed language tools and utilities (partly english and partly german) based on facts which I currently can not reproduce. E.g., installed version of ThinkVantage Productivity Center is the english one (as intended), Fingerprint reader utility and some others are all in german. Selected WinXP keyboard layout was german, country/locale set to Austria but I'd prefer to download and install plain english drivers and tools.
Any hint what factors influence on SystemUpdate's decision for a specific language and how I can configure the language for downloads? I do not remember of having seen any language selection option.
    tia and best regards

Audition is now included with the CS 5.5 suite.
Jim thanks but as you can see I firstly stated that I have used the Production Premium suite.
My main beef with Adobe being that the most likely area of interest after everything else in Premiere being "native" and fast is that you will have noise artefacts on your audio timeline which you may wish to fix quickly.  Of course in FC Pro you could "round trip" out to Soundtrack Pro and take a noise print do other stuff.  What I REALLY LIKE about Audition is the spectral display/ability to use stuff like the healing brush it is a much more intuitive way of doing repairs.
This is often the trouble with marketing departments they simple do not understand how things work out in the field.
But once again I wish to congratulate Adobe on their comprehensive metalogging features and the abilities to embed the metadata or separate sidecar method.  GREAT WORK!!!

  • 16GB SODIMM anyone interested in pushing TOSHIBA together to update BIOS

    Hi,
Anyone interested to convice Toshiba to update the  BIOS Memory Reference Code routine to recognize the new 16GByte SODIMM modules released by the memory company I´m Intelligent for the differnet product lines including laptop Satellite?
We could have 32GB with two slots.
So, please answer the ones interested and stay tuned.
    Thanks.
    KR,
    RI

Thanks, Jerry, for the quick reply.
Before I posted my original question I had been through all available downloads/docs for my Satellite and read up on the Battery Manager feature on some of the Toshiba notebooks.
My Satellite does NOT have the Battery Manager feature/app among the many Toshiba-branded utilities.  Only "ecoMode," which doesn't appear to do much exept trim down power consumption, and "PC Health Monitor," which reports info on battery charge level, etc, and allows access to Windows power management plans for tweaking.  But no Tosh-branded Battery Manager application...
What I'm trying to determine is whether it could be ADDED to my machine, by updating BIOS to a newer TOSH version (maybe that's a bad idea), or by downloading a utility app for a newer Toshiba laptop, or both?
"Officially" it appears that the Battery Manager (and therefore, Eco Charge) was not available for my older L505, but what I want to know is whether I could add it somehow?

  • Interest indicator & interest profile

    Hi All,
I want to know the interest profile for a few projects. And for those proflies, I want to know the interest indicator that has been assigned from 1999 till date. So, there is a possibility that it might have been changed in between. Is there anyway to accomplish this?
Can you tell me the table name for int profile and int indicator?
    Regards,
    Lakshmi

    Hi Lakshmi,
    The tables are as follows:
    Interest Indicators:       T056
    Interest Profiles:           TPI01
Assignment of Interest Indicators to Interest Profiles:  TPI02
If you want to see the changes made for the entries then goto the TCode OPIB and from the menu select Utilities, Change Logs for a particular entry.  Then you will be able to track the changes made for a particular entry.
Hope this answer helps you.  Please assign points if found useful.

  • "Invalid serial number" when installing Toshiba utilities on NB200-13J

This model (13J) is the government-sponsored student edition used by thousands of Greek pupils and is not listed in the Support downloads.
I made a new partition and installed XP SP3 Pro, in addition to the standard XP Home. I downloaded all the drivers for the model number printed on the sticker (PLL25E-00401WMG, which I assume corresponds to NB200-122 in the Driver Downloads).
Most of the important Toshiba utilities (Hardware Setup, Hotkey, Value Added Logical Device) terminate with the error "Wrong serial number".
Given that the Toshiba utilities work fine in the standard (old) installation,
    1. Is there a way to bypass the serial number checking for the installation of Toshiba utilities?
    2. Are there specific Toshiba downloads for NB200-13J ?

I apologise for the long post, but I am afraid that sooner or later other users of NB200 will (stumble on the same issues.)
Dear Timox, thank you for this interesting scenario, and let me offer my first thoughts. I have already seen this theme of installation sequencing in the forums, and my sequence was about the same - first non-Toshiba stuff and then Toshiba stuff.
You and other forum members say that the order is "very important" and of course I'd like to know *why* the order is important. A possible answer would be that each utility expects something else already having been installed. If this was the case, i.e. that users should follow a linear sequence of installation, wouldn't it be very easy for the developers to embed error messages in each utility like "please install utility X first and retry installation"?. In the same line of thought, developers could have bundled everything in one big executable and offer it for use in clean installation scenarios. If the "why" of the specific sequence is not stated explicitly, the "importance" of installation sequence still remains in the realm of magic.
Having said all that, I deleted the windows installation and started anew.
Non-Toshiba stuff in the beginning of your list were ok (I do them the same way for some 15 years now).
ConfigFree was the first in your list to misbehave, issuing the infamous in these forums message "This program only works on a Toshiba System". When I saw this I knew I was doomed. This error a1lone is sufficient for me to claim that the "importance of installation order" is a myth, and that this and the other Toshiba utilities listed below do not recognise my machine.
    Here are my results:
TOSHIBA Configfree - This program only works on a Toshiba System
On reboot, and on any reboot, Configfree presents the same message.
TOSHIBA Hotkey - The serial number is invalid.
TOSHIBA Hardware setup - The serial number is invalid.
    Toshiba Zooming utility - OK
Toshiba Zooming utility driver - OK
TOSHIBA Password Utility - The serial number is invalid
    Toshiba Fn-esse - OK
TOSHIBA Accessibility - The serial number is invalid
TOSHIBA Touchpad On_Off - The serial number is invalid
    TOSHIBA Power Saver - OK
TOSHIBA Power Saver Driver - OK
On reboot (and in all subsequent reboots) I get
"A fatal error has occurred. The program has terminated. code: 0x47F
    PC Diagnostics - OK
    Running PCDiag gives the following:
    Model Name: Unknown
    Part Number: Unknown
    Serial Number: Unknown
    Serial Number: Unknown
    OS Version: Unknown
    BIOS Version: Unknown
    Physical Memory: Unknown
Testing CPU and Memory gives PASS results.
    SD Memory Utilities - OK
    HDD Protection - OK
3G, Driver RF, Wireless manager & Network Device ID Registry Setting Tool - not applicable for NB200-13J
TOSHIBA Value Added Logical device - NOT in your list and from what I read, very vital for NB200, does not install at all, as if the file were damaged. I had to manually decompress setup.exe and run the resulting DPInst.exe, after which TVALD says it installed fine.
This completes the clean installation saga.
Now, checking the Services, only Toshiba Bluetooth is listed.
Checking running processes with Sysinternals Process Explorer, I see the following Toshiba-related running processes:
CFSvcs - Service of Configfree (supposedly "only working for Toshiba systems" and not mine!!!)
ThpSrv.exe - TOSHIBA HDD Protection Service
    TosBtSrv.exe - TOSHIBA Bluetooth Service
ZoomingHook.exe - TOSHIBA Zooming utility Hotkey Hook
    Smoothview.exe - Smoothview (by TOSHIBA)
TosBTMng.exe and under it another 6 Bluetooth-related processes
    _Preliminary conclusions and alternative theories:_
    1. My windows may be missing some service(s), prerequisite for the Toshiba utilities, or there is a specific mandatory locale/configuration to be used when installing them, or MSDN OSs are not compatible, etc etc XP-related dark matter.
    2. NB200-13J is not compatible with the utilities.
    3. My EEPROM contents were somehow corrupt (from what I read many Tosh laptops suffer from this) and I need to reprogram them with the DMI Update Utility (see e.g. http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/topic/7011-toshiba-notebook-dmi-updates-for-wrong-error-message/) or with special startup disks (from what I read, not yet issued for the NB200 series)
    4. I am missing a non-public Toshiba utility/driver, provided only to major vendors (and not to end customers) in order to customise their windows pre-installations.
    5. Some conspiracy theory, like the one saying that Toshiba Corporation succumbs to pressures from Microsoft Corporation to poison or kill XP in laptops/netbooks (...)
    6. I am using the wrong fairy stardust.
_Next step_: I'll compare the services and processes running on the original windows with the ones on the clean installation and see what is missing.
In the meantime, any more ideas would be greatly appreciated... (to be continued!)

  • Interested in your experience implementing operation-level costing

    Greetings,
I'm interested in anyone's experience implementing OLC.  After reading OSS note 1002335, implementing OLC was viewed as a core-mod.  If you have implemented it, did you face any major issues?  What are some of its limitations that your client experienced?  Any information is much appreciated.
I am interested in the ability to calculate planned cost at the operation level specifically.
    Regards,
    Matt Herzog

    Matt,
We had a look at it early last year but dropped it since it viewed as a core mod. However at that time we were told that in EHP5/6 this functionality would be provided as standard.
If you are willing to wait it out, it looks like Operation Account assignment is part of EHP5. I am not sure if it replaces the OLC.You may want to get in touch with your sales rep for more info on this. But existing documentation indicates this as
    Operation Account Assignment
The Operation Account Assignment solution permits a single plant maintenance or customer service order to have cost objects at the operation level. Each of the account assignment functions available for the header are now possible at the operation level, delivering more flexibility in task costing.
Customers in asset-intensive industries such as utilities, oil and gas, transportation, public sector, and mining
Customers in industries requiring detailed maintenance costs for regulatory reporting
Customers working on multiple assets with different accounting requirements for the same work order
However, if you are just looking for planned cost calculation, the simpler alternative might be to develop a custom report.
    Hope it helps.
    Regards
    Narasimhan

  • Safari Cleanup Utilities???

    Hi,
We were discussing on a different discussion thread about the various OSx cleanup utilities, and how basically these third party products cannot be really trusted.
Just out of interest I did a live chat with a guy from Micro Smith and asked about 'Spring Clean' Support on Lion. Aparently they are discontinuing this Product line!..
    Why?
Apparently the guy was saying that a lot of the cleanup features in Spring Clean are now native to Safari?
Does anyone know about these features and can educate me?
    Thanks,
    Steve

I totally agree with you Allan,
I would never put it on my Mac again either!.. I wouldn't put any of these so called clean up utilities on! :-)
But do you know anything about the supported clean up utilities native to Safari?
    Thanks,
    Steve

  • Setting Finder Label for Apple Utilities?

Just ran into something interesting - I'm messing with some external drives and constantly going into disk utility. So, I thought I would assign a label to it to make it that much easier to find in the list of applications....
Except you can't! I checked and several Apple utilities sport the same behavior
I thought it might be a permissions issue, but playing around with permissions hasn't yielded anything, and googling around and searching hasn't turned up anything on this either.
How annoying! If anyone has any insight, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

So, I take it there is no way to make "Disk Utility" writeable from the Finder? Because I did play with the permissions.
Figures. Well, it's not something I feel compelled enough to research how to do it Terminal - it is annoying, though.
    Thanks for your response.
