Interested in learning graphic designing... What Adobe products should I buy?

I would like some input from people already using Adobe's products. As the topic states, I'm interested in teaching myself graphic designing for t-shirts. My t-shirts may sometimes have just a background design with added text or I may get fancy and try to design a diamond watch.
Hopefully this gives you an idea of what I'm trying to do. Money is not the issue here. I just want to get the right products from Adobe.

If you are interested in creating illustrations, Adobe Illustrator is a really great tool. It allows you to create vector illustrations which means that they are scalable to any possible size. Here's a short video introduction to Illustrator CS6:
Illustrator is great way to start. However, if you're serious about becoming a designer you may want to consider a Creative Cloud Membership.
The Adobe Creative Cloud gives you access to all of the Adobe CS applications as well as some subscription exclusive apps (Muse and Edge Animate) among many other benefits!

Graphic Design and Adobe Products

I am a graphic design student, graduating in about a year. I maxxed out my MBP's ram and bought my first mac in hopes that it would be a great tool for graphics. I see that photoshop and illustrator (adobe tools) are running through rosetta and haven't yet (or will be?) been ported.
My question is this, will this machine be the right tool for graphics work? Im pretty concerned about this and really didn't think twice about it when i ordered - i figured adobe products would work flawlessly, as they always have.
any ideas? (ie, try to make me feel somewhat better?)

Word on the street is that Photoshop under Rosetta is useable, but a tad slow for really heavy work. Not great news, but that an application like Photoshop works acceptably on a completely different processor than what it was written for is a minor miracle. The only real way to know for sure that it will meet your needs is to give it a go.
The good news is:
- you made the right choice in maxing out the RAM
- Rosetta apparently gets quicker with age due to caching
- If the MBP sells well, Adobe is likely to bring forward a universal version of PS (send them feedback to let them know that you are interested in a universal version)
If you do find that PS performance is not acceptable you have a few (not great) options:
- return the MBP for a PB G4 or G5 iMac/Powermac (you will get better performance from PPC native versions of PS, but performance is not likely to be as good as the MBP when a universal version of PS is released and the MBP is likely to be a better long term investment)
- try the new universal binary version of GIMP
Other more experimental options to try if you get desperate:
- try running older windows versions of PS (I think v 5 works) under Darwine
- try running more current Windows versions on a virtual PC (only current (and messy) option is to boot into Linux and use VMWare, but I expect there will be other options before we see a universal PS: intel version of iEmulator is apparently due out shortly and I suspect that a VMWare for OSX intel won't be too far off)

What adobe product should I use on an Android tablet to view and edit maintenance drawings?

I plan to provide our maintenance staff Android tablets with all our equipment documentation loaded in PDF format. I would like for them to be able to note changes, corrections, additions, etc. I would also like for them to be able to associate / link photos of the equipment with the appropriate documentation. I am not sure what Adobe application will meet these requirements and hope someone can provide advice and suggestions.

I'd like another player because I've had it with Adobe. I've spent hours and hours trying to get Shockwave & Flash to work after recent updates in those programs. I tested them out in Google Chrome, and still problems although fewer than in FF.
What is going on with these products? Everytime I run an update of FF or Shockwave/Flash, everything gets screwed up!!

Copywriter learning graphic design - what will I need?

I currently have a 2008 MacBook Pro - 2.4 GHz Intel Core Duo, 2GB 667 MHZ, etc. and I probably will need either a new Mac Book Pro (largest size) or iMac with greater speed, capacity, etc.
Any graphic designers out there who can recommend exactly what I need? I can't spend a ton of money but need to be able to use InDesign C5.

What Adobe Products Should I use? I am making a mobile game similar to Flappy Bird.

It is not going to be a Flappy Bird remake but it will be a simple game like it.

My last computer had an Adobe program that allowed me to insert pages into a document and reduce the file size. Is there a product that can be added onto Reader XI that will allow me to do this and not spend $400.00?

Acrobat is the application that allows you to edit a PDF--including inserting pages and reducing file size. There's nothing that can be added on to Reader to give you that functionality. But, Adobe does offer subscriptions to Acrobat, so you can pay month-to-month or annually. See www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html for details.

Hello you Adobe Experts!
I was wondering if you guys could help me out. I am interested in developing/designing a tactical map for competitive gaming and I was wondering what adobe products would help me best. I have a decent amount of experience with Fireworks. The map will be a web application and should be interactive for the user experience. Could anyone weigh in on this question? It would help me out a lot if I knew what path I should go. Thanks!

Sorry for not being very descriptive. I would want the map very interactive, almost to the sense of everything on the map will be affected by user interaction.
For example, a user scrolls over a zone and it lights up & once clicked upon, the zone will display information somewhere. The map will be a "fight for control" like a domination set up, and the way it would work is that a team (Team A) would control Zone A and Team B controls Zone B. Well, Team A decides to challenge their neighboring zone (Which is Zone B) to a match. (In some FPS game). Whoever wins the match, will obtain control of that zone. I know this is a lot of stuff to take in. But, I'm just curious to see others ideas on what technologies they would use to design something like this.

As George as suggested, the answer is sort of maybe, though you should not expect perfection. The OCR is not perfect (almost no OCR products are, unless you pay a lot of money possibly). You should always edit the original document and not try to do it from a scan if at all possible. The OCR is step to trying to recreate the original document, but there will always be manual steps involved.

If your clients are opening the file with Adobe Reader, they should show even if not flattened.
If they are not and you absolutely need to flatten them, maybe the pre-press tools in Adobe Acrobat would work for you.

Instead of buying right away you may want to avail yourself of the free 30 day trial first to see which program fits your needs.
Photoshop and Photoshop Elements may be worth a try.
If you intend to create more graphic/typographic designs Illustrator may be worth looking into, too.
Someone else may have more/other recommendations, though.

What Windows 8 Should i Buy for Bootcamp?

I do not have a windows OS of any kind installed on my mac. I would like to get windows 8 for my mac from amazon.co.uk .
Windows 8 Pro, Upgrade Edition [Upgrade from Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7] (PC)- this is the main one that pops up but its an upgrade??

You can in fact buy what you want, no need to go with Apple TV

What size Iphone should I buy? I have a relatively small music library. I anticipate takeing a lot of pictures and videos but assume those would ultimately get stored elsewhere (upload to the cloud)? IMO, forget the calcs and buy as much storage as you can afford. Better to have and not need than need and not have. Plus it will be worth more when you sell it.
Note that videos are not stored in iCloud and videos taken with the iPhone can be very big, hundreds to thousands of megabytes.

There are two types of cables - FW800 and FW400. However, your MacBook does not support FW800 so all you need is the standard FW400 cable. It has six (6) pins.
