Interesting dilemma (at least for me!)

Well, its not a situation that i did ran into, but I'm just worried/thinking about it as my system grows.
I see people forced vividly to expand their storage by using external hdds, at least because replaceing the internal one is kinda .. A MESS!.
While apple itself is promoting for external media and etc.. i comes to me that i defeats the purpose of how the OSX works!, for me at least with the HOME FOLDER!
What really bugging me is almost thinking about this situation:
my home folder has all my movies, music, apps,.. documents.. etc that i constantly use, but if those data kept growing and BAM!! my hdd is full, i cant even imagine having an external hdd to save new music and movies and etc.. which i will be using too, but they are not on my home folder.
Its simply defeats the organization pattern that you've followed till you ran out of space!
anyone with me with that ?
anyone feeling they are perfectly following a workaround, with i think its not possible ?

PS: that also applies to having muliple internal partitions
also if anyone were fammilar with the Windows Home Server, it was using something like a swamp storage, which basically if you even connected an external hdd, it just adds the space to your current system partition (as if you replaced the hdd with a bigger one) .. i liked this idea.

I mentioned movies and music for a reason - iTunes is easily configured to have a default directory anywhere and it is totally transparent to the user. But it is your computer and your money. Just be warned that if installing memory in an iMac is a level 1 difficulty that installing a hard drive easily approaches a 4 or 5. It is close quarters inside, getting the glass off the front isn't tricky but getting it back on can be, and it is easy to get it all back together only to find out the isight camera has been disconnected or not properly reconnected. Obviously an authorized repair center will be more than happy to install a new drive but you might choke at the cost. Have a nice life.

Our company is using the Trsy module for intercompany loans with these settings on the deal:
- Interest calculation method of 7 360/360
- Linear Interest Calculation and the
- Pro Rata Temporis Calculation selected for both the first and last period.
Quite possibly with the last support pack update earlier this spring we are now getting the months of the year to calculate the interest expense/accrual differently for certain months when we expected an even accrual each month.
AD1005 is the update type used by TPM44.
Do you know of an additional setting needed to make each month accrue the same amount?

It could be that you are getting a different number of days than expected because of the default setting in TPM1 with including/excluding the beginning and end date. For instance, let me explain:
TPM1 takes the beginning of the calculation period as included and the end as excluded - this means that, for example,
           from    28.02.2011 inclusive
             to      31.03.2011 exclusive
is, in fact, 31 days with calculation method 360/360.
Your expectation would be that
          from    28.02.2011 exclusive
            to      31.03.2011 inclusive
which gives 30 days.
TPM1 calculates it in a different way, so this might be why the number of days might differ in this case.

Use a normal question, and do not add the score to the total score. That will give you a correct score at the end. But the total number of questions, that system variable will still take into account all questions. You'll need a user variable, and calculate its value by subtracting 1 from the system variable cpQuizInfoTotalQuestionsPerProject. Same for the progress indicator if you want to show it?

If you want to allow Review, you'll have to tweak as well. You didn't specify the version, and all those questions I now mentioned.
And my approach, since you talk about only one question: create a custom question, because you'll have total control then.

I did a clean install of SL, joined the machine to the AD domain using Directory Utility. Restarted and when the other user option finally came up in the login screen it would just shake after entering my credentials. As if I was using the wrong password. I then logged in with the local admin account and using the Directory Utility disabled the mobile account option. I then restarted and was able to log in using my credentials.

I had this problem this morning. It went away after I rebooted and ran applejack in "auto pilot" mode. The machine is a macbook pro running Snow Leopard. The account is a mobile account tied to a windows active directory server. Applejack is available from http://applejack.sourceforge.net/. The auto pilot mode cleans out the system caches is /Library and /System/Library - perhaps this is what provides the fix? Just a guess.

No, not that I know of. If there were, it would be harder to use than
a + b + c + d + ...The first is a comma-delimited list of columns, with a function name and parentheses.
The second is a +-sign delimited list, with nothing else needed.

You're right that you don't get edit-time type checking with a string-based state machine (as opposed to an enum-based state machine) -- the up-side is that you get a much faster/flexible way to work on the state machine (such as having the ability to comment out state strings by prefixing with a "//" or "#", as our state string parser allows). Also, we do have a special "Default" frame to catch states that are miss-spelled or not in defined in the Case Structure -- this will present a dialog and raise and error, by default. And, it's possible that we could create some tools to do edit-time checking of the state strings against the Case Structure frames.
Regarding state flow, there is the possibility of creating tooling that helps visualize state flow. In a post on LAVA, Mikael Holmström posted an example of using the Endevo GOOP Development Suite to reverse engineer a state machine.
This doesn't completely work, but it shows an interesting possibility.

Interest doc getting cleared for first due installment instead of the last

We are creating loans using transaction EK25. There is a problem with the clearing of interest documents. In our scenario, we are clearing the last installments whenever there is an overpayment. But the interest document is getting cleared for the first due installment. How can we make sure that interest documents are cleared for the last installments. Any insights or information on this?

Is it a possibility that Interest Documents are created with Clearing restriction which is removed only when next installment is created. This way, your interest document won't get cleared until next installment is created.

Disaster of (almost) Biblical proportions -at least for me- restoring vault

I had my RAID drive, which contains both my Aperture library and my images, ©®@p out on me this past weekend. My library is almost all referenced to the files on this RAID drive. Some files, like the TIFF that were created by Aperture for me to edit, were stored in the Aperture library as I had not gotten the chance to move them out via "Manage Referenced Files." Of course, I had a vault or two set up, although they were only slightly out of date from the crash.
So, first thing I did was to, after I recreated my RAID drive and copied all the images back on, is to try to reconnect all my images. This is turning into one giant PITA. It seems that Aperture will only reconnect the visible images in the browser and not any images that are stacked underneath them. Is that correct? I don't understand why wit would not just reconnect all the images, whether they are stacked or not. This is a big problem.
Also, Aperture only seems to be recreating the thumbnails of those images that are visible in the browser. Why isn't there a feature that will let me recreate ALL thumbnails by choosing an option, like creating previews?
And, when I chose to reconnect one TIFF file, Aperture was telling me that the file was one size (say, 70mb at a certain res) and that when I chose the EXACT image to reconnect to (which was indeed a larger TIFF file at nearly 300 mbs and a larger resolution), Aperture would not let me reconnect. It seems somewhat obvious that Aperture would not let me reconnect it because of the discrepancy in the file stats, but the image I wanted to reconnect to WAS the correct image. It was a TIFF file that I had edited in Photoshop and saved back as a much larger file. I don't understand what is happening here. I know that it the file. Aperture is even telling me that that is the file by showing me the path to the original file which I exactly duplicated with the images recopied on the new drive. Yet it is still giving me different metadata from the file and won't let me reconnect. Ouch! Any thoughts? How do I reconnect this image?
You know, I found that the vault restore is working okay, but the loss of all the thumbnails put a serious kink into this restoration. If there was an option to keep the thumbnails and/or previews in the vault, that would go a long way to speeding up recovery. The other option I have, in the future, is just to sync the Aperture library to a backup copy using Chronosync.
Anyway, if anyone can help me with this reconnection issue, I'd really appreciate it.

P.S., My RAID failed, or rather had severe problems, after I installed the 10.4.9 update. I don't know if there is a direct connection, but be careful updating . And don't do it when you are working on a job.

I don't know if this is going to be of any use. I tried a number of expiriments related to rconnection of external masters...
At first I had trouble reproducing your issue, because Aperture follows masters as you move them around the HD. Then I simply archived it.
Then I added a different TIFF file into that directory, and tried to re-link - no luck, as it was different.
Now the interesting thing. I quit Aperture and renamed the different TIFF to the same name as my original master image. Now all of the sudden Aperture thought it was the original master image, even though it was quite different.
So I have two things for you to try, based on my expiriments:
1) Open up "manage referenced files" dialog holding down Option. Now select the file you want to re-link. Now click on Hide Reconnect Options. Now click on Done.
The Option may do nothing. However using that process, it seemed to take my selected change even though I could not click on the "reconnect" button.
2) This may be a part of what I did - try renaming your master TIF file to something slightly different. Now try naming it back and re-linking, either as normal or above, and see if it takes. If that works you could batch-rename the TIFF files and name them back.
I hope something there works for you.

I've found a temporary solution at least for me.

Some days ago, my Shuffle won't recognize anymore.
I've tried the Restore Utility, but it always gives "Flasing Writing Error" or "Formatting Error" and iTunes says the iPod is in Recovery Mode and need to be restored.
Sometimes it freezes Windows, tried 3 PC's and no good, and always getting errors while trying to Restore using the Restore Utility.
Even unnistalling Windows Native USB drivers haven't worked for me.
So the solution i've found is disable USB 2.0 Controller via Mainboard BIOS, so it cap to old 1.1 speed. If i put it back to 2.0, it stop from being recognized.
But at least here, now my Shuffle is working again. Uploading songs recognizing properly. Taking forever to upload new songs, but now is at least acceptable.
If you not have been sucessfull at Restoring your Shuffle, try this.

So, you're really that unhappy with the performance? I assume you must be running the stock, unrooted, undebloated Gingerbread. Personally, I found your bitter sarcasm kinda cute, but evidently not everybody does. Anyway, I recommend that instead of cursing the darkness you just like a little candle inside your phone. Root it, freeze the bloatware, and see if that doesn't improve the performance so that you can be happy with your phone. If you need more, there are amazing people who can provide a new version of gingerbread 2.3.6 that is a big improvement over what Verizon provided us. I have no idea why Verizon and Samsung think it's a good idea to overload the operating system with so much bloatware that we have to make adjustments so it works right, but evidently they're not the only ones doing this. Good luck.

I've added this for the MODULES in rc.conf:
MODULES=(!pcmcia !pcmcia_core !pcspkr !snd_pcsp powernow-k8 cpufreq_ondemand)
and still I hear this annoying sound when I hit the <TAB> in the console, over and over and over again....
I've disabled the pc speaker and its sound module, and I have configured the ALSA using alsaconf succesfully (the sound is crap on my HP Compaq 615, but that's because of the speakers, not Linux). Still if I run the "alsamixer" command, I can see the volume of the pc speaker right there, but if I change the PC speaker volume the system volume is not changed. Is there an alsa "beep" sound for the <TAB> i need to kill somewhere? This mind boiling sound I hear every time in xterm when I make an error of some sort in the keyboard, like when I'm working in Vim and I scroll to the top of the file and hit the line, etc.

I believe your internal beeper is controlled by the drivers for your soundcard instead of the generic pcspkr-driver, since blacklisting pcspkr and snd_pcsp had no effect. I also use the snd_hda_intel-driver on my netbook, and I have two separate controls for speakers in alsamixer - "Speaker" refer to sounds played through normal applications, while a "Beep"-control refers to those annoying console beeps. You could check if you have a similar setup, and in that case just mute the Beep-control.

The original poster had allready tried placing !pcspkr and !snd_pcsp in the MODULES array in /etc/rc.conf, which on most (older?) computers should be enough to disable the internal speakers system-wide. Did you try that too? You can test the procedure without rebooting by running:
su -c "rmmod pcspkr"
As for disconnecting the cable to the internal speaker, I don't think it was intended as a joke. I've done the procedure before, and at least on my desktop computer the internal speaker was quite easy to locate, and it was connected to the motherboard by a single, easily removable cable. If you're on a laptop however, the procedure might be a bit more bothersome.

To update the Business Place automatically, you will definately need to set up Sunstitution in trasaction GGB1 and assign the same in OBBH to your company code....
If Profit Center is not variable and can same every time then you can use transaction 3KEH and assign the Profit Center to the customer reconciliation account or any other account you want for others....
If Profit Center is based on customer group or it is variable then you will need to set up substitution......it is better that you set up substitution for both Profit Centre and Business Place..........

A > holds 100% in B, 10% in C, 5% in D
B > holds 90% in C, 95% in D, 100 % in E, 1 % in F
E > holds 99 % in F
No shares are owned by parties outside the group.
1) Minority Interest
In case like this will MI be accounted for?
Can we say B's holding of 1% in equity of F as minority holding?
Similarly A's holding of 5 % in D; 10% in C?
2) Consolidation Groups - in this scenario will be
CG 1 - E & F (E - Parent, Purchase Method)
CG 2 - B, C, D, F & CG1 (B - Parent, Purchase Method)
CG 3 - A, C, D & CG2 (A - Parent, Purchase Method)
