Interesting phone call with Apple Support

I took Ned Snowing's advice in calling the Apple Support line to try and move my ship date up for my CTO Mac Pro. Although he didn't seem very knowledgeable right off the bat, he told me that he would not be able to move my ship date up. I then suggested that we cancel the order and re-order the same Mac to try and get it shipped out sooner and he told me that the Mac Pro's are no longer available. I asked him why and he told me that last orders they were taking were on the 7th, and they cannot fufill the orders simply because of volume.
I was on hold for a good 10 minutes while he gathered this 'information', which leads me to beleive that he couldn't do anything about my ship date so he made up a story. Who knows.
Oh, but I did get him to upgrade to overnight shipping for free:)

Oh I haven't got it yet!! It's at least made it to Barcelona and hopefully it'll get to me in the next 24 hours. Mine's been sent with "express" shipping. I'd hate to think what non-express shipping would be!! In actual fact I always find the wait for it to be shipped since I receive the notification is worse that then initial wait. I've been in pain since I receive my notification on Tuesday.
As for your thanks, I do appreciate it. The way I see it, if I'm not prepared to share and help when I can I can't really expect to be helped when I need it. But thanks!

    I have received a few calls from someone with broken English telling me that my computer is vulnerable due to cyber attacks.  They are not selling software or anything but is telling me to get on my computer to look at links on my computer to see how many attacks I've had and how to stop them.   • Itunes support deauthorized myaccount and ignores all emails for 5 days. 6 emails have gone unanswered except for automated responses. Does ITunes support exist anymore? Calls to apple support tell me they can only chat with ITunes which is down for 4 day

    My ITunes account had an unauthorized charge. I changed my password and notified ITunes support. They disabled the account, told me to chnge the password and then they would re enable the account. I emailed back that the password was changed, they have not answered or re enabled the account. I have emailed the non-existent person who disabled the account and ITunes support 5 times but the only response has been an automated one. Calls to Apple support only and I was told the ITunes chat for them has been down for 4 days. No answers and no way to get a human respond and no way to get the ITunes account turned back on. Does anybody actually work at ITunes support? Is there anyway to get a human on the phone or chat directly at ITunes support to re enable the account? I am totally fed up with this complete lack of support or response.

    Find another app to make an inexpensive purchase from.  I know there's stuff for like 99 cents.

    My friend received a phone call the other day from an "apple operator" who wanted to know if he was still interested in buying his powerbook. Short of him putting the actual computer in his cart and then not purchasing it, how could she know that he had an interest, and, more importantly, isn't this violating some privacy by calling like this so randomly?     I got 2 phone call from Apple from the past. Fist time it was about a PowerBook G4 900Mhz that I save the order but never reallly buy it. I guess becasue I save it for later that is why I know that I interested. Normally I have a bunch of Apple product that I want but never really need it so it just on the cart but never save them. So Apple people never call me just that. Second time was after I bought a PowerBook G4 17". The one that I using right now. They called about the Apple Care. They said they call because I used phone support many time so I might be interest in Apple care. So other than that they never call me. I guess Apple keep record of your activity with the company and they make a phone call only when they see the potential of selling you something. It's fine with me.

    Here's my experience with Apple Support . You must first request help , they will then give you a support I.D. Number .
    Then an automated caller will contact you , then as you push the appropriate numbers to clarify your problem , they'll hang up on you without even alerting you to that fact .  ;)
