Interface Changes

hi Guru 's,
Could you please help me out on this.
Interface changes impact on Batch jobs in SAP?
Kind regards,
Sunny

Sunny,
Now your question is bit clear , you want to know  Hardware Migration  effect on your interfaces.
So there are lot of prospective of this you need to take care
1) Type of interface (Way to access HTTP/FTP or anything else)
2) Update interface with new IP address
3) Getting detail  of used ports (So can be excluded from firewall)
4) If any special file system is responsible for interface (e.g. we have created some special os user for this which is not a part of SAP installation) etc)
5) Best is to keep in touch with interface owner ...
in short hardware migration wil not harm any standard jobs but if any job is related to interface it might be , depending upon interface.
Hpe this  will help !!!

  • Revising Services based on interface changes

I expect this to be an easy question.  I've struggled with updating a service after making function module interface changes e.g. adding removing fields, structures or changing types.
What is the process to update a webservice after supporting function module changes?
    Thanks in advance.
    /Greg

i tried it before i gave you that advice and just now again and it worked for me (although the poup came when i clicked the check button rather than already at save).
what's definitely supposed to work is to just delete the service definition and create a new one.
and yes it was in SE80.

  • How do I quickly update the ActiveX automation references in my VIs when the ActiveX interface changes?

    Hello all,
I joined a test automation team in the middle of a large project and
inherited a huge set of VIs (over 700) and associated architecture for
this automation (not to mention the several thousand TestStand
sequences).  Another part of the project is being developed by our
customer, who is using VB 6.0 to create ActiveX components which we
need to use in LabView to access their hardware.  They've already
invested a large amount of time developing these ActiveX components,
and they are not finished -- meaning the ActiveX interfaces will be
changing.  Every time they send updated ActiveX components, I have to
re-write many, many VIs including updating a couple strict typdefs.
This process takes way too much time and is mind-numbing and prone to
    error or omission.
Unfortunately I can't post any of the VIs because of a NDA.  But
perhaps a bit more detailed explanation would help.  TestStand calls a
VI to open and get an ActiveX reference for automation (which it stores
in a variant).  It will pass this reference into any VI it calls to
perform specific functions through this ActiveX interface.  For
example, one VI that may be called passes this automation refnum into
another, which passes it to another, which passes it into another to
get the actual ActiveX reference stored in that variant (through a
Variant To Data call with a strict typedef of the ActiveX component
wired to the type input).  [See the attached image of this sample VI
hierarchy: the far left icon would represent TestStand, and the far
right is the strict typedef.]  Any of the VIs in the chain might use
ActiveX Property or Invoke nodes, and it can break at any one of those
when the ActiveX component changes.  It's easy to fix each one, but
since there are so many VIs it takes a very long time.
Is there any way at all to do a massive search/replace or something to
make the ActiveX references update?  I realise that even though
property or method names stay the same from one version to the next,
they are different references.  Is there a way to update these based on
name if you give it the base ActiveX reference?
Thanks in advance for any help!

    Ben,
Unfortunately I can't post any VIs that would demonstrate the problem
because the ActiveX components are confidential.  I'll try to develop
my own ActiveX dll that will demonstrate it, but in the meantime, in
hopes that another picture will help, I've attached an image of a block
diagram (with some names changed to protect confidential information)
of one of the lower level VIs from the hierarchy I posted.  In this
example, the "Automation Refnum IN" is an input with a type definition
linked to the strict typedef based on the ActiveX automation dll that
has changed.  I updated that typedef, but as you can see the output to
the "Class1" indicator is broken.  If I delete the "Class1" indicator
and select Create->Indicator from the Class1 property node, and then
wire the new "Class1" indicator to the connector pane, the VI is fixed
-- at least at compile time.  In most cases there is also a runtime
problem where the reference obtained by one of the intermediate
property nodes is null, so the property or method node that uses it
fails (e.g. "_VNManager.Networks" property returned is 0, so the
"_Networks.Network1" property node fails).  To fix this problem, I have
to delete the wires between the property nodes, and one by one select a
different property/method, then select the correct property/method and
re-wire.  There seems to be a bit of "jiggling the handle" to get it to
    work though.
I don't know if the ActiveX developer changed anything in this class,
but if he did, he didn't change the name of this class.  I would like
to have to modify the VI only if a class, property or method has
    changed name or been removed.
Does that all make sense?  Thanks for any pointers or help!
    Tom

  • TestStand 4.0 Operator Interface Changes Not Seen

    Hi guys,
Ive worked with TestStand before, but now im trying to modify the operator interface (located C:\Program Files\National Instruments\TestStand 4.0\UserInterfaces\NI\Simple\LabVIEW).  Well, i try to modify the VI in the project, but i cant see my changes when i run the VI.  Ive tried building the executable and see that hte executable does get rebuilt, but none of my changes show up.
Also, how does the "entrypoint 1" button get renamed to something else when the VI actually runs?
    thanks
    jeff

Looking at the help, it appears that the TestStand button only uses the system color unless it is in toolbar mode. If you want to use a LabVIEW button instead, you can implement the button action by calling <SequenceFileViewMgr>.GetCommand(...).Execute().
This thread might help you determine when to dim or enable the button: http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=330&message.id=15720
    Here is the button help:
    BackColor Property
    Syntax
    Button.BackColor
    Data Type
    Color
    Purpose
Specifies the background color for the Button control.
    Remarks
When you set Style to ButtonStyle_ToolBar, this setting applies to the face and border of the button. When you set Style to ButtonStyle_Standard, the button face adheres to the system settings, and this setting affects only the border of the button.

  • Shared Members on interface changes of Entity or account hierarchy

    Hello,
Is there any scripted way to remove 'Shared Members' from the Account and Entity hierarchy, or if not, is there any means of finding them on mass, as we have set up a database interface to maintain account and entities, but the problem is after accounts or entity change parent they leave a 'Shared Member' on the original parent, which is not desired functionality as it throws totals out on forms / reports.
thanks for your input, no blogs please as our security prohibits me seeing them.
    Robert.

Thanks John, can I ask you a follow on also...
If a member had never share as its property and you used the hierarchy interface to assign it to a new would would it; -
    a. Prevent update of its parent hierarchy via the interface
    b. Move it to whatever new parent you deemed and remove it from its original

  • No route after Interface change in VRF

    Hi Everyone,
I have had a couple of strange incidents where changing a physical interface or ip address on an interface causes routing problems. We are running ASR9010 on IOS-XR 4.2.3
    Case 1:
Changed a physical interface gi0/0/0/1.12 to BE21.12 on a vrf.
I lost static routes and had to remove and re-apply.
    Case2:
Changed the IP address to a different network 172.17.254.126/27 to 172.27.254.126/27
ARP OK and ping from VRF or local device in other VRF OK, however host on connected interface cannot be pinged from across MPLS. Connected route is carried across MPLS OK. We will be trying to remove the entire interface and vrf config and re-apply.
EDIT: We re-applied config after removing and commiting. It is now working.
    Any ideas or clues?
    Cheers
    Mike

  • Question about Mac filtering / interface change

    Hi Everyone,
We have an SSID that currently uses mac filtering on a 4402 WLC. If we change the SSID to use a new VLAN / Interface, do we have to re-enter the mac addresses to get them to apply to the new interface? Or will the controller software be smart enough to apply the mac list to the new vlan?
    Thanks,
    Craig

It depends whether your MAC Filtering list is set to All Interfaces or whether you have manually selected it.
Look under Security > MAC Filtering, you will see your list of MAC addresses.
If you have selected the specific interface per client then you may need to recreate the list but if you have left it on any interface then you probably won't.

    Hello,
I have used the command snmpset to change the properties of my ap.
After that, i got the following message:
Notification: Interface Dot11Radio0, changed state to reset.
When the AP resets its state, all the clients are disconnected.
How can i avoid the reset of the AP?
I want to make changes dynamically - and also i want my clients to maintain their connection.

    Hello again,
Yes it's my mistake, the AP restarts for the new changes to take effect. It doesnt reset.
Particularly i change the MAX Association number of the clients using SNMP.
When i do this the AP disconnects all the clients!
Is it necessary or i have a wrong firmware version.

  • 13.1 Interface Changes

    Hi,
Im really enjoying the new look. Thanks to everyone on the AE team for this new release.
    I have a few questions.
    - My tool tips don't work for the motion blur/frame blending icon panel in the timeline. This is ok for me but has stumped some of our trainees.
    - The feature where you could hover the curser over a layer in the timeline and see a wire frame display of the bounding box for that layer in the project panel is missing for me. Is there a new preference for this?
    - I always have my preview panel set to loop but when i fire up AE it will always stop at the end of a comp unless I cycle through the looping options. This seems strange.
    Thanks for your time.
    Glenn

Allow me to heartily second Dave's complaint.  I really really really really HATE that Adobe has done away with the OPTION of having a dark on light interface.  And for literally no other reason than to unify the look of Adobe software across the line and look sophisticated (or something).  The shortsightedness is breathtaking.
What's so awful about giving users a choice?  If someone likes light on dark, slide that slider and there you go.  If someone likes dark on light, slide the slider the other way, and there you go.
But now, no choice.  You're going to use light on dark, and YOU'RE GOING TO LIKE IT.  "You'll get used to it."
IMO, Adobe's implementation of light on dark has sucked since that interface option was introduced way back in, I don't know, AE 7 or 8?  The white text is WAY too bright and contrasty.  I understand the rationale of having a dark interface that doesn't wash out your composition window, and I tried the dark interface time and again, but my eyes couldn't take it for very long.  I have no problem with Maxon's version of light on dark; I don't know why Adobe can't get it right.  Cinema 4D allows the user to customize the color of almost every interface element.  I wish Adobe had as much respect for its customers.  Jeebus help us if Adobe acquires Cinema 4D.
I've been using AE since around 1997 (version 3.1).  Time and time again I see useful features tossed aside (wireframe previews, vector paint, the old lens blur, interface flexibility, etc) that have negatively impacted my productivity.  That's not to say that some new features have improved my productivity, but why do those new features have to come at the expense of some of these older ones?
And yes, I will submit a feature request (to bring back the dark on light interface OPTION) as I've done time and time before, and I will expect the same non-result.

  • Interface changes TYPE

    Hi !
I have a problem with: INTERFACE / LOOP / CLASS.
    (CODE EXAMPLE START)
    data:
    t_assignments        TYPE cgpl_assignments,
    role_attributes         TYPE plmm_audit_roles,
    wa_t_assignments  TYPE REF TO if_cgpl_assignment.
    LOOP AT t_assignments INTO wa_t_assignments.
    wa_t_assignments->get_attributes( importing ES_ATTRIBUTES = role_attributes ).
    ENDLOOP.
    (CODE EXAMPLE END)
t_assignments is a list of Objects ( for example value:
    ->  )
I loop the OBJECTS into the WA and then I would like to perform the method GET_ATTRIBUTES.
The method GET_ATTRIBUTES is in the class CL_PLM_ROLES_ASSIGNMENT.
When I control the WA in the Debugger, I can see the Class with the attributes.
(this can I make, when the code-line WA_T_ASSIGNMENTS->.... is factored out)
But when the code-line WA_T_ASSIGNMENTS->....  is NOT factored out, i get the error-message (SE80-@ checking the code)  that GET_ATTRIBUTES is not in the class.
I have access to all methods from the class IF_CGPL_ASSIGNMENT, because WA_T_ASSIGNMENTS is this type. BUT in the debugger the type is CL_PLM_ROLES_ASSIGNMENT.
How can I get access to the method GET_ATTRIBUTES from the class CL_PLM_ROLES_ASSIGNMENT?
I hope somebody can help me.

    Hello Christian
Presumably you just need to to a casting:
DATA: lo_plm     TYPE REF TO cl_plm_roles_assignement.
    LOOP AT t_assignments INTO wa_t_assignments.
      lo_plm = wa_t_assignments.
      lo_plm->get_attributes( importing ES_ATTRIBUTES = role_attributes ).
    ENDLOOP.

  • IPhoto '08 User Interface Changes Make Printing Really Hard For Me.

The printing menus and options are so much different in iPhoto 2008, I have so many problems I can't begin list them all. But I'll try. I hope some Apple iPhoto developers read this, and decide to make iPhoto 2008 as good as the old iPhoto printing.
My printer is a Brother DCP-120C. I had been using it fine with iLife '06 on my G4 imac. my new mac came with ilife '08, and Im thinking of downgrading, it's so brutally awful.
Problem #1: Glossy Paper versus Standard. In every standard Print dialog on Mac, you can drop down a reveal triangle and change all kinds of stuff, even create and safe different PRESETS. You can't do that on iPhoto 08. the only Preset is Standard, even when I create a new preset in other Apps, that Preset does not appear in iPhoto. Thus the Presets option is useless.
Problem #2: There used to be an n-UP selection (2-up, 3-up) quickly right from the printer page. You could print 8 pictures, 2 per page, or even 2 copies of the same picture, quickly and easily. The nearest workaround I have found is to NOT use the Print buttons at the bottom of the iPhoto dialog at all, but only manually select item thumbnails (top of screen) and then use the File Print menu command, which brings up the standard Mac OS printer dialog. This is horrible. Two different ways to print, with two different printer dialogs, and two awful incompatible sets of options.
Problem #3: The standard Themes for printing includes a total of 5 themes. Was this the best they could do? Where's my "Standard Prints - 4x6" , "Standard Prints 5x7" and so on like in '06. If they're going to refactor the whole deal the least they could do is provide some coverage of the classic stuff.
It's not as broke as iMovie 08, but iPhoto 08 is a disappointment, on the printing front. Love the Events feature, hate the Printing changes.

You're right. That works. Thank you. Now I can do what I want. But I expect Apple to put a bit more thought into its products than this... It's all in all, a lot more clicks than in iPhoto 06, and I still find the three different print dialogs quite confusing. To sum up the stuff that still bothers me, which I hope Apple fixes in the next update is:
    (1) When you go from your main photo library, select a few photos and click the Print button on the bottom right corner, you can't select Glossy, or any other printer paper types without going a few clicks deeper into the print system. There are a bunch of useless options in the first-printer-dialog-you-see that do nothing, and a bunch of missing-options that used to be in iPhoto 06.
    (2) If I only want one photo printed several times, the trick of selecting one I want plus three I don't, giving a total of four, then dragging a photo over the other spots to be filled by the first photo I actually want is a huge waste of time compared to iPhoto 06.
    (3) The change from a sheet (a window attached to the main iphoto window, but not taking up all the space) to the full iphoto editing pane (everything in the main iphoto window except the left-side where your photo library, and your projects/folders are) is confusing, maybe a core-animation fade where the sheet grows to show that this is the same dialog but a different mode. This advanced button is breaking all the rules. Every other Advanced button I've ever seen just resizes the same dialog box, and does not jump right out of the dialog box, like you clicked Cancel. In fact, I suggest they just DROP the first dialog box completely, since it's pretty close to useless, and jump right to the advanced page, and maybe have one quick-presets icon on the left that lets you do everything (via a popup icon stack, like in the new leopard Dock) from there.
    (4) In the first (useless) printer dialog, only Standard appears in the Presets list. In the one you get to after clicking Advanced, then clicking File-Print, the Presets menu in this second print dialog allows you to select glossy paper. Since I always need to do this, anything in the first menu that I print would come out looking like crap, making the quick-print dialog box useless.
Again, thanks for your help, Anastassios T, I really appreciate it. But I do hope someone from Apple hears the cry of the hapless victims of iPhoto 08, and solves its problems for the next Apple-Update cycle.

  • [SOLVED] systemd+wpa_supplicant, but the name of interfaces changes

    Hello,
I'm following instructions here for having the wireless connection ready at boot on my machine.
I needed to setup two different daemons since sometimes my wireless interfaces is wlp3s0 and sometimes is wlan0.
When the name of the interface is wlp3s0 everything works fine and I'm correctly given an IP address.
It doesn't happen the same when the name is wlan0.
    Here's some output
$ systemctl status [email protected] -l
    ● [email protected] - Wireless network connectivity (wlan0)
    Loaded: loaded (/etc/systemd/system/[email protected]; enabled)

Check your journal for messages relating to wlan0 and wlp3s0.  I think you may find some kind of error message -- maybe having to do with firmware.  I've seen thing like that break predicatible device names
If you've just one wlan interface, you could turn off predicable device names and just go with wlan0
