Interface for Web

Hi,
We are using SAP BPC 7.5 NW SP08(admin and client). We have created a new user called SALES_UAT form the BPC frontend by importing the user from the Adtive Directory. We have assigned the relevant task profiles and also member access profiles to that new user. We can log-in to the Interface for Excel using that user SALES_UAT.
But when we are clicking on the Interface for Web it is asking for the relevant username and password. We are giving Username as SALES_UAT and the relevant password. But even if we give the correct username and password it is logging into Interface for Web as BPC_SYSADMIN.
Do we need to give other access to the new user SALES_UAT so that he can log into Interface for Web?
Thanks,
Appu

Hi Appu,
Please check if you have given correct access to the user specially in task profile. Also delete cookies and history from the internet page and try logging once again.
Hope this works.

  • ABAP Interface for Web Template Design

    Hi BW Gurus,
I have report published in the portal through BSP. Please some advise me what are the ABAP class files so that I can design my portal reports.
I am sure there are few class files where I can design the portal reports. Let me know your important help....
    Thanks
    Ganesh Reddy.

    Ganesh,
CL_RSR_WWW_MODIFY_TABLE is used to customize the web templates in BW3.x.
the way I understand the data flow to web templates work is :
    Query(s) --> Web Template class --> HTML --> <CL_RSR_WWW_MODIFY_TABLE - this class is optional >
This works only for Web templates though - as for classes that are used in web templates - create a web template and then assign the same to a request - you will find the classes available under that request under PHIO or something like that.

  • Realtime interface for web page

    Hi,
I have been asked by a business user if SAP PI would be suitable for use as an interface that will update data points on a google map from a Smart Phone app.
When the user of the app moves the map around, the webserver submits a request to a SAP ECC system through PI which then returns live information about locations displayed on the map.
The information return has to be extremely fast and seamless to the user of the Smart Phone app.
My gut feeling on this is that PI isn't the best application for this as a synchronous interface wont process fast enough. But if someone here thinks differently or has implemented something similar then I would love to hear their view on it and how it would be done.
    Thanks,
    Gareth

    hi,
you can also have a function module or a bapi in ECC, on which you have the option "Remote-Enable Module" , and then generates directly in ECC a web service... some points of custo to do, but before PI, it was like that we could exposed a web service.
After that, if it's the best way.... I don't know, as ther is maybe a lack of security (your ECC is directly connected to outside).
But that's certainly the faster, as there is no system / tool (like PI) in the middle !
    regards.

  • Interface for Excel does not work in Windows 7 - Important

    Hi,
Im using BPC 75 MS SP04 with a computer Windows 7, IE 9, Office 2007. Apparently the Excel works "fine", the issue is that whenever I try to access to Interface for web from the main page (clicking the icon) it does not work, does not do anything...
What do you suggest to do?
Working directly in excel is not a problem, accesing to templates vía "Etools - Open dynamic templates" is fine.
The issue is that users that have every access controlled by BPF's (using Interface for Web)  cannot work.
Also, we use a template that uses 12 EVDRE reports in the background, we know it is a lot... but it was required like that.
Once accesing to this template vía Etools -Open dynamic template... Excel gets stuck and I have to force it to shut down.
Also Im working with a Vista system, Office 2003.
For this systems, we also use the template EVDRE (12 reports). Once any of both systems access to this specific template, Excel gets stuck and I have to shut it down. Any other template is able to work with, but these 2 machines  (7 and Vista) cant.
    Please help !
    Velázquez

    Hi Velázquez,
Based on SAP Note: 1603248, IE9 is not supported on BPC 7 and 7.5.
So you have to revert to IE8.
Only IE8 and IE7 are supported in 7.5 MS.
    Hope this helps.

  • Interface keeps changing in save for web panel

How can I set my interface to stay the same as one time the "save for web" panel shows the 4 images in a square, then the next time it shows in 4 vertical strips and then other times is shows up in horizontal strips?
This might be something very simple, but it's really annoying me!

  • Distortion in Save For Web interface

I am still having problems with my Save For Web interface. Attached is a screen where you can see that with just the Optimized view showing (in this case 72%), the picture looks as expected. But if I go to 2-up or 4-up views, the 2nd image (which was the 72% Optimized) is now all pixelated as if it were a GIF.

  • Variable Selection For User in Web Interface for BPS

    Hi All,
I've created a manual Input sheet in BPS0 to upload target sales. User need to select the month, plant and then enter the target amount for each category. Its working fine.
Now I need to create web interface for user to upload the data every month. Using BPS_WB I've created the interface (with help of Wizard). I'm getting the input sheet. But I'm not able to get screen where user can select the parameters?
How to get this? It should work like web report, where user select the report variables then execute. Only difference here is user will have to enter the data for selected variable.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards: Gaurave

Hi....add the variables to a folder along with the layout. Then create the web interface.

  • Using default web interface for users

I wish to use the default web interface for my users, I do not have the time to develop a custom app. I wish to get rid of the group and and mount point folders.
    Please Help,
    Jeff

CM SDK 9.0.4 (released very shortly) includes the "Web Starter Application". This is a J2EE Web Application with full MVC architecture and completely open source!
You may be able to obtain this application sooner from Oracle Consulting - it will work on the current CM SDK 9.0.3.
JSP and Tag Libraries make up the UI. The controller framework is similar to Jakarta Struts. It offers localization support, ADA compliance etc.
You can easily develop the application from JDeveloper and deploy to 9iAS.

    Hi Rajendar,
I think the problem with having empty interfaces, or interfaces without methods for EJBs, is that they don't really make  "sense". After deploying your EJB, a client application will use JNDI or dependency injection to access your EJB.  So in your case it will look something like this
    @EJB
mytestSSBLocal myejb; //(In this case we are using the local interface)
In the second step, you will want to do something will your EJB, but since mytestSSBLocal doesn't define any methods, there is nothing you can do with your ejb.
The Exception is telling you that weblogic couldn't find a complaint interface for your EJB.
    best regards, Nicolas

  • WEB Interface for Visual Admin

    Hi,
I'm told there is a web interface for the visial admin tool which can be launched from the examples section of the j2ee home page.
In order to do this you must first deploy the tool.
I've search the net and marketplace for the tool to download and am unable to find it.
Has anyone else come across this before??
    Thanks

  • Save for Web darker interface

I have for a long time been an advocate for the darker interface, using it mainly in After Effects. So it's great that the CS6 apps have taken this to other apps in the Suite. However Save for Web has been missed out it seems. Anyone else think this should be able to be darkened like the rest of the PS interface?

Yup, along with ACR and others - would be nice to have a consistent UI throughout the product, The main UI and Lightroom compliment each other very well, but then you get the sudden bright flash as a non-conformer pops into view.......
I heard from Nik they are looking to match their Selective Tool to match the new Photoshop UI.....

  • Problems access to a web application (Web Interface or Web report)

    Hi,
We found problems with the access to web application. Some users have problems with direct links to the web applications(Web Interface or Web reporting), when they click on the link an error message appears, the message displays the following text:
    "Cannot open file Bex?sap-language=ENbsplanguge=ENcmd=idoc_TE.."
Clicking in details the message is "No Access to specified file"
For this users the access to excel reporting is correct, the message appears when they click on the direct web links through the browser or directly in BW system, but if they type the URL they can access. Other users can use the direct web link without problems.
I highly appreciate any help or idea about how to solve this issue.
    Thanks in advance.

    HI,
please ask to your basis that check the language of every single user on su01 tx.
This is the problem i think.

  • Help please with output settings in Save For Web Photoshop CS4

I am new to CS4 Photoshop so have been watching tutorials on Lynda.com. According to that tutorial I should have the ability to save a photo as an image in the Output Settings dialog box. The only options my panel gives me are:
    HTML
    Slices
    Background
    Saving Files
I don't have the option for Images Only or for HTML & Images. Are these two hidden somewhere?
I have been experimenting with Save For Web, but when I click on Save I get a panel that lists all the images saved in a folder named "Photos" but I cannot find in that folder any of the images that I optimized and saved for the web. Where are they to be found? Images that show up in Bridge are not my optimized images either.I would be grateful for some assistance with this.

Those settings, HTML, Slices, etc, are the Output Settings you don't normally need to change aonything in there.
Leave it at default and you will just save a version of the image stripped of unnecessary data and reduced to the degree you specified next to the file format choice.
When you press Save in the SfW interface it calls up a Windows OS Save dialog box showing the last used location.
The destination can be changed in the normal way. The Images you already saved will be in the the location that was in that dialog when you saved them.
There is a lot more information in the help pages on this topic!  (Hint.)
