Interface Integration

Hi guys
Our client is into Real Estate industry. We are implementing ECC RE-FX and CRM, client would like to do the sales in CRM only, but need a solution how it can be done in CRM the sales process and leasing will be done in RE-FX. Can any one tell me what would be the best solution in order to make sales process using webclient. And they have outside agent who sell properties, they need to have access as well, to sell, block the units(products)
There is one more issue, our client was using some other online application called masterkey where they have wizard driven sales process with very good flash introduction of property like 3D view and navigation to each floor in order to see flats view. My client would like to use only CRM by stop using other third party application (Masterkey). So need some solution. can any one get back to me.
Thank you and hope you understood my question.

    Hi,
I Need some information and help related to Primavera - SAP Interface/ integration.
    1. what are the Prerequisites?
    2. How it works - means how data will get transferred from primaver to SAP?
    3. whether this transferr is Direct or some third party tool required. if yes then may know the options?
    4. How much it cost approximate?  any option to transfer data without any third party tool?
    5. any documents if you are having related to this please do send on same Id
    Venkatesh

    Dear Venkatesh,
I had developed and deployed the SAP PS - Primavera Interface in one of my projects. We had developed it using an ABAP program. I hope i answer all your questions to your satisfaction.
    1. what are the Prerequisites?
I dont think there is any need for some major prerequisites other than the version of the Primavera   software you are using. In our case we had used Primavera version P6. Find out from your business owner as to what all data he needs to upload or download using this interface. You can modify your ABAP program likewise.
    2. How it works - means how data will get transferred from primaver to SAP?
    a) The data between project structures will be mapped one to one basis. Ex. Project in SAP PS is mapped to Project in Primavera, WBS Elements in SAP PS will be mapped to WBS in Primavera, and Activity data in SAP PS is mapped as Activities in Primavera.
    b) Frequency of data transfer will be weekly or Monthly. Every time data is exported from SAP PS to Primavera, new project will be created in Primavera.
    c) Data will be transferred from SAP PS to Primavera in Batch mode and with manual intervention.
    d) Data will be transferred from SAP PS in Comma Separated (.CSV) File format.
    e) Primavera users will access MS-Excel interface to import data from CSV file in Primavera. MS-Excel will have a Macro written in Visual Basic Application (VBA) which will be initiated by user for data transfer.
    f) Primavera Software Development Kit (SDK) will be used for transferring data in Primavera.
    3. whether this transferr is Direct or some third party tool required. if yes then may know the options?
Hope the above mentioned points answer this question.
    4. How much it cost approximate? any option to transfer data without any third party tool?
I may not be able to comment on the cost part since this interface was internally developed by our team. This interface is successfully being used by our organization as a reusable component in various projects, thus reducing the efforts considerably.

  • Monitoring Interfaces /Integration Scenario's

    Hi,
I got a task of Monitoring integration scenario's.
What are the other option available except: Data at Receiving application, RWB, Integration Engine and J2EE logs
      to monitor interfaces.
How to do Error Handling in the case of file2file scenario?.

    Hi,
There are some good documents available in SDN for XI monitoring, check the following links:

  • EM self Service interface integration with WebCenter Portal

    Hi,
I just have a question from my customer which is: how we can integrate the Self Service interface from EM 12c into WebCenter portal? Did anyone tried this before ? how easy was that and what steps are required?
    Thanks

Search also uses an absolute path, so it will need to start from /sp:Site/sp:RootWeb.
There is also the option of making the search recursive or not.
One way to explore how the simple search works, is to create a new JSF JSP page, and then to first drop the data control's search method onto that page and take Parameters > ADF Parameter Form. Click OK to accept any defaults. Now drop the return of the search method onto the same page, and drop it as, say, an ADF read-only table, again click ok to accept all the columns.
Now follow the documented steps that you need to do to make this runnable (i.e. adding the sharepoint library), and run the page.
When you run the page, you'll be able to explore possible values for input path's and search strings to see how it behaves. I suggest you start by searching in a small Document Library, so you can familiarise yourself with how it is working.
So, suppose you have a SharePoint Document Library called TestDocuments, then its path should look like:
    /sp:Site/sp:RootWeb/sp:Lists/TestDocuments/sp:Files
then enter true for "isRecursive" and suppose you have a document in this library named MyTestDocument.doc, then try looking for a name pattern MyTest%.
Also, you can go back to your getItems page - the one that is displaying the whole repository as a tree - and use that to find what the absolute paths are to your data. You'll need to supply that absolute path as the starting point for your searches.

  • Third party tool interface integration with SAP

Hi guys - here's an interesting one:
I want to integrate a third party tool with SAP.  The interfaces would be required to communicate both ways - sending data out and receiving data and populating relevant tables / transactions.  I, so far see a number of methods available to me that would be suitable and feasible:
<b>  - File based exchange of data
      - iDocs (custom or standard)
      - BAPIs (custom or standard)</b>
      - XI (but this method would not be feasible and would thus not consider it)
In all the cases above (apart from XI), I guess I would require a program that would call the BAPIs or distribute iDoc data or extract and populate file based data.  I have so far compiled a list of various advantages and disadvantages and just wanted to probe your expert minds.
<b>Please list the advantages and disadvantages of each method, providing a reasonable discussion as to why you think this is the case.  If you think any other method would be suitable, please list this too.</b>
The person with the most accurate and detailed answer will receive all the points.
    Thanks
    Mantas

    Hi Mantas,
The Pros and Cons in this case depends on the third party tool which you want to intergrate with SAP.
File Based Exchange of data: How conveniently can you push the data from the third party tool into a file.
IDocs: The third party tool should understand the syntax and symantics of the IDoc.
BAPIs: How do you plan to call the BAPI from the third party tool.
From just the SAP point of view.
Here are the advantages and disadvantages:
    1. File Based Exchange of data:This method is good if you can easily pass a file which can be uploaded into sap and the data can be stored in the sap tables.
    2.IDocs:
    Advantages:
If you have an existing IDoc that can do the data transfer then this would be the simplest method as only the settings are needed. No program is required to call this IDoc the settings automatically take care of this.
    Disadvantages:
If a custom IDoc needs to be developed then creation of a BAPI would be a better option.
    3.BAPIs:
    Advantages:
It is simpler to develop a BAPI than a custom IDoc which involves creation of segments, function modules etc.
    Disadvantages:
There should be an active online connection.
Some programming will be needed to call the BAPI.

    Hi All,
I have created a package with a procedure. This procedure is used for inserting records into the custom tables created by me. When I am running the script in back end, it is running in reasonable time and giving back the desired output.
But, as per requirement, I have to run this package-procedure via a concurrent program. When I am submitting the request, it is taking hours to complete. Also I am using BULK COLLECT and FORALL(Since the number of records are more than 3 lacs) and firing COMMIT after every FORALL. But when I am quering the table, after an hour or so, no rows are returned.
    Please help and reply asap.
    Thanks in Advance....!!

  • InterfaceDetermination did not yield any actual interface - Error

    Hello All,
We are working on a synchronous interface integrating with the third party.
On executing the inbound interface (Third Party to SAP ECC), third party system receives the error as stated below
com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: com.sap.aii.adapter.xi.routing.RoutingException: InterfaceDetermination did not yield any actual interface
On checking PI logs there is no logging in both message monitor and communication channels.
Any suggestions/ideas on debugging this error would be helpful.
    Thanks,
    Nilambari

    1.
Please reassure that you are looking at the correct PI system. As the sender gets some error messages that come from com.sap... namespace there ought to be some traces on the PI system, either in communication channel monitoring, message monitoring or nwa/logs
    2.
As you are proably providing a webservice to the third party just use the WSDL you provided and use that within soapUI. See for a tutorial here http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/software-engineer/how-to-test-web-services-with-soapui/ (be aware, you might need to import your PIs certificates to cacerts of soapUI if you use https and your PI presents a certificate that is not signed with a trusted CA)
    3.
If you are sure about the interface / channel you are calling, use XPI inspector (http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1514898) to track down the error. Use Template "50" and specify your receiver channel
If that doesn't help, please come back with a more detailed description of your scenario.
    HTH
    Cheers
    Jens

  • Third party synchronous interface to SAP

    Hi,
I have a scenario where system A (third party app) needs to send a "show me prices" query to SAP and this needs to be synchronous.
Can anyone tell me if there is a walkthrough for this scenario I can look at?
I believe I need an integration process in the mix but need to see how this all hangs together.
3rd party interface -> Integration process [IP]
    IP to sap (sync)
    SAP to IP response (sync)
    IP to 3rd party
    Cheers,
    Ross

    >>  A previous consultant has set this up as a sync message SOAP to PI to SAP but there is no response leg coming from SAP even though the interface is defined as synchronous
Modify the interface from synchronous to Asynchronous and dont need BPM
    Make changes
    a) In SOAP Sender adapter  change Quality of Service from Best effort to Exactly once
    b) outbound service interface and inbound service interface in ESR , make asynchronous
    c) Mapping only for request.
    d) Rest all same.
    e)recreate WSDL.
The previous given link will be helpful to know about SOAP adapter.
    Check this link too.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/fc/5ad93f130f9215e10000000a155106/content.htm
    Hope that helps.
In addition to above suggestion,  A recent blog about handling synchronous to asynchronous without BPM.is below. This might give some idea for your SAP side...(no response)

  • GIS/ESRI Integration

    Hi
I'm very new to SAP (1month) and still trying to find my feet. We would like to integrate SAP RE and GIS. I've managed to find some documentation that mentions things like standard interfaces,Business Connector, BAPI, ESRI_R3.dll etc but nothing specific.
Can anyone help clarify the following.
    1. How would I go about integrating the 2 products, ie. what options do I have, what products are required?
    2. Is it plug and play giving you some standard functionality or is it API/DLL based where you have to develop your solution?
    3. Who provides the interface/integration? SAP, ESRI or both
    4. If the standard interface gives you standard functionality can additional functionality be developed, in what language and from which side (SAP/ESRI)?
    5. Can you make either product the master app? eg:with PP-GIS, GIS is the master. What do I do if I want SAP RE to be the master?
    6. What kind of developers do I need?
    7. Are there different integration methods/requirements for each product eg: ArcGIS, ArcIMS?
    8. Where can I get some decent technical information that can answer some/most of the above?
Thanks for everyone's time and help
    Jonathan

    hello,
    i have a seamed problem,
idea is simply to display an ESRI GIS map within a dynpro while providing data integrity.
my first aim is to achieve a simple connectivity such as selecting some lines from an ALV grid control cause points on map to be selected. (and vice-versa if possible).
any idea or advice on how to achieve this, greatly appreciated.
    many thanks.

  • ERP-integration via middleware

    Hi,
It is possible to create a wbs-element for a campaign element without creating a wbs-element for the campaign when using ERP integration via middleware (automatic on releasing)? We are in addition using the badi for checking on campaign type and tactic.
    Regards Camilla

    Hi,
would not think that they actually need access to your production systems but rather a replica that is as close as possible in all aspects. If access to the production system is required, then set up a totally read only groups and assign the individual integrators to those groups.
There are a couple of ways that the issue of responsibility for interfaces/integration can be handled.
One is to have the Implementer agree to provide the services to do the analysis (requirements and functional) and then to develop, test and resolve any issues from the tests. However, this will require that they be come "experts" in your legacy system and add to the total cost of the implementation of the ERP.
Another is to have your internal IT Department take on the management of this part of the project to include analysis (requirements and functional) and then to develop, test and resolve any issues from the tests. There are some benefits to this. First they have the expertise in the legacy system and second, it will allow them to learn the ERP system more intimately and provide the opportunity to become experts there as well. Some drawbacks may include the learning curve for the new system and its technologies (this can be remedy by bringing in short term technical consultants that have experience in the technologies to help during the development of the interfaces/integrations and provide "training").
One other way is to just bring an "integrator". But, again, the integrator may need to become experts in both systems and this adds a little more to TCO.
No matter what you, or your company, decides to do, remember, the more you do up front (analysis and design) the less that needs to be done on the back side (development and testing) and the easier the project will go.
    Reward points if found helpfull..
    Cheers,
    Chandra Sekhar.

  • Need help on Interface Proxies

    Hi All,
We are working on Interface integration in which we are integrating EMA with SAP CRM.
EMA is responsible for generating new leads and feeding them into SAP CRM system.
Through EMA lead interface, leads created in EMA are replicated into SAP CRM and new leads are created in SAP CRM. The lead data is published by EMA into Sonic bus and SAP CRM will subscribe to this data through SAP XI.
Whenever a lead is passed from EMA, it contains Account and Contact data, When this lead is sent to SAP CRM validations are made if this account and contact already exists in SAP CRM.
If contact already exists and does not have any associated account, either a new account is created or an account is searched from the whole SAP CRM system which matches EMA Account and then a relationship is maintained between Account and Contact.
We are now facing some issues in the above scenario:
    1.     Orphaned Contact Created by EMA without Associated Account or Lead : When a lead is created, there is no relationship maintained between Contact and account. This issue is happening once in a while and when the same xml is taken out and sent individually or independently, the relationship is getting created. If I debug the same xml also, the relationship is getting created.
In this case when lead is opened through UI, we could see the contact associated to lead but when Contact is opened through UI, we could not see lead associated to Contact.
    2.     EMA Interface Created Exact Duplicate Contacts and Accounts: When two leads with similar description, similar Account and Contact are passed at the same time, duplicate Contacts and Accounts are getting created. That is when the first lead is created, it ideally should create an account and contact, and when second lead is passed it should pick up the existing contact and account created for the first lead. But this is not happening. In this case also, if we take the payload and debug it, we could not find any issue.
    3.     Can we send some email alert from the proxy, whenever such kind of issues arise?
Any pointers on the above issues would be of great help.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sneha.

    HI Sneha
    1. I think relationship between the account and lead exist in the logic you have written in ABAP and not in PI. Now if you have
issues in creating the account or lead relationship in XI then definately you can make modifications in mapping.
Now UI if you are able to see the Lead associated to contact and the other way round is having issue then check with the
Dialogue program you are using for this to fetch the data.
    2. this again is a issue that need to be resolved in ABAP code
    3. yes you can raise alerts from ABAP proxy using SALRT_CREATE_API
    Check this
How to raise alerts from ABAP Proxy
You need not to have BPM only check the use of API. Moreover you can directly use the mailing API with CRM system to do this

  • How to change CUE ip address?

    Hi,
We moved to a new location and using comcast as ISP. I was setting up the phone system today and met a few problems.
    1. First of all, all the phones are connected and working(total of 4), but I can only see 3 of them showing up in the CCA. Whats happening here?
    2. I wanted to change the user name which appears on the phone using the CCA, CCA told me that the settings were successfully sent to UC520, I restarted the phone and uc520, but the names on the phones remain unchanged?
    3. I forgot the password of the voicemail for one of the phone, and wanted to changed in the CUE. so I went to 10.1.10.1,but some comcast login page showed up instead of CUE. so I want to know how to change the IP address of CUE? I don`t know the CLI commands so please teach me if it can only be done with CLI. I have only used CCA in the past. Could this be the reason why for problem 1 and 2? I`m feeling wierd because all the phones can be used to call in/out.
my data vlan is 192.168.0.0 and voice vlan is 192.168.2.0 let me know if you need any other info.
need help urgently as I want to resolve this problem asap.
    Thanks in advance.

how to change local ip address?Via an operating system command.
It's not the sort of thing an application should be doing at all. IP addresses these days are assigned via DHCP. Why would you want to change it from within an application? It would probably disconnect all sockets for all running applications, invalidate the login, all kinds of bad effects.
    What is the actual requirement?

  • SIP Trunk - No voice with Single Number Reach

    Hi Community.
I setup SIP Trunk with the CCA. Everything is working Call In and Call Out. Call Forward and so on.
But with Single Number reach is something wrong. The mobile phone is ringing and I can get the call, but I hear not any voice.
Can someone please help me out? Below the config.

    Hi Patrick
I am working on this one as well. I have a UC560 with SIP Trunk provider Les.NET.
It was working fine until a few weeks ago when something changed on the provider end and broke it. My hunch it is something to do with the SIP REFER.
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/voice-unified-communications/unified-communications-manager-express/91535-cme-sip-trunking-config.html
Here is an excerpt from the above page:
    Call Transfer
When a call comes in on an SIP trunk to an SCCP Phone or CUE AutoAttendant (AA) and is transferred, the CME by default will send a SIP REFER message to the SP proxy. Most SP Proxy Servers do not support the REFER method. This needs to be configured in order to force the CME to hairpin the call:
    Router(config)#voice service voip
    Router(conf-voi-serv)#no supplementary-service sip refer
Figure 3 shows the behavior of the CME system with the REFER method disabled.

  • Voice mail always engaged

    Hi All,
We have a UC520 and the system is giving us an engaged tone when ever we dial voice mail from both our external and internal numbers. I have been going over and over the config and can not understand why we are getting an engaged signal when ever we ring voice mail. Below is the show run off the UC520, hopefully someone can spot some errors in it to suggest why it does not work as im close to hitting it with a large hammer
