Interface Should Trigger the File at Perticular time in a day
Hi Experts,
I cam across the different requirement in my company.
I am trigger the file to client twice every week. is it possible to trigger the file like that with the interface, can any one please guide me what are the necessary steps to be taken for this type of interface.
Is it possible to send the file to receiver after one year with the interface.
Regards,
Nissi
Hi Nissi,
You dont need to do any additional configuration in the communication channels.
According to your requirement you need to make use of the option of Availability Planning in Runtime Workbench.
You need to go to the runtime workbench and goto Component Monitoring.Once inside it, you need to select an adapter engine. Once you click Status tab , you need to go to ommunication channel monitoring .Once there then choose the option Availability Time Planning in the communication channel monitor.
Inside you can find options which will guide you on how to go further..............
Goto Availability Time field and select the interval for the new availability time and then choose Create.
In the Details tab page, you can make the necessary time specifications,
You can select the communication channels for which you want to schedule the availability time, in the Communication Channels tab page.
I hope this info will be helpful to you.For any further clarifications you are welcome.
regards,
Rohit

How do I add a movie from my laptop to iTunes, what should be the file extension.
How do I add a movie from my laptop to iTunes, what should be the file extension.
The extension is usually .mov, .m4v, or .mp4. But you can't just change the extension. The movies have to be encoded in a particular fomat. Anything downloaded from iTunes or plays in Quicktime player will be fine.

While downlaoding any type of file instead of showing the file size 'unknown time remaining' is showing? Please suggest solution to these problems?
I followed ALL the Above suggestions to NO AVAIL!
When I start a download, if I then Click PAUSE, it WILL NOT CANCEL & IT WILL NOT RESUME, just sits there stating "unknown time remaining"
and I CAN'T GET RID OF IT!
It would seem that Something Changed with the latest Firefox Beta Update that is causing this Anomalie.. Please FIX ASAP as I find this Very Annoying.
With ANY Download in Limbo the Firefox Taskbar Icon displays a Partial Download Progress THAT NEVER CHANGES and I can not tell what Other Downloads are doing - It also Warns me that X-Number of Downloads are Still Pending when I go to Close Firefox, but as I stated, these Downloads are DOING NOTHING & CAN'T BE REMOVED!

Is there any way to sort the alarms differently in the Clock app? I have alarms for multiple days during the week, all of which overlap each other. It makes no sense to me that the alarms sort by time and not day.
No, there is no way to change the sort order.

HR-PDC interface: Problems in the file name of the downloaded idoc file
I'm currently busy with the HR-PDC interface to EBI-time recording system. The RFC destination to EBI's quality system is working fine but we are experiencing differences in the idoc file name that we are creating in the EBI path. When we send a request to EBI to upload clocks, an idoc (Message Type: HRCC1REQUPTEVEN and IDOC type: HRCC1REQUPTEVEN01 ) is sent to EBI The file name is HRCC1REQUPTEVEN whereas in a previous implementation file name is HRCC1REQUPTEVEN01. The control record information on the outbound idoc are the similiar in terms message types and idoc types sent through to EBI. Have you ever come across this issue in your previous experiences with SASOL's HR-PDC interface. SAP has not changed the IDOC type HRCC1REQUPTEVEN01 since 1998.
can you please also contact IDM support about it?

Where should be the file of database if i use windows version of oracle
hello
where should be placed the file of database if i use windows version of oracle ?
will be there some special partion for dadtabase file ?

i thin the database shoud has own file

i seatch for such database file in oracle ? And why would you expect Oracle to have the same file(s) as some other product?
Oracle implements it's databases with multiple data files, not just one. And that's in addition to all of the various files that make up the software, apart from any databases.
You definately do not want to put the database files under ORACLE_HOME. If you have any choice at all, I wouldn't even want them on the same partition. A default installation and db creation may try to put them there simply because that is the one directory structure oracle can count on being there. But that is one default that is far from best practice.
The minimum partition configuration I'd want for a Windows server hosting an Oracle database is ....
c:\ - operating system only
d:\ - Oracle home, admin, and one set of all duplexed files (control, redo)
e:\ - all other database files
For the 'sandbox' setup on my personal laptop, where I only have a c: drive, I still break it out ...
c:\oracle\app\product\10.2.0 <-- Oracle Home
c:\ora1\mysid\ <--- some data files
c:\ora2\mysid\ <--- some data files
c:\ora3\mysid\ <--- some data files
Take a look at this: http://download.oracle.com/docs/html/A97297_01/appg_ofa.htm
It is out of the 9i docs, and is directed to unix, but if you will read and understand the principles it is a good guide even for Windows. You can also google "optimal flexible architecture" and get lot's of other docs.
I dare say that at this point It would be a good investment in your career to go to tahiti.oracle.com. Drill down to your product and version. There you will find the complete doc library.
You should spend a few minutes just getting familiar with what kind of documentation is available there by simply browsing the titles under the "Books" tab.
Open the Reference Manual and spend a few minutes looking through the table of contents to get familiar with what kind of information is available there. Learning where to look things up in the documentation is time well spent on your career.
Read the 2-Day DBA manual cover to cover.
Notice the 'search' function at that site.
Then set yourself a plan to dig deeper.
- Read a chapter a day from the Concepts Manual.
- Look in your alert log and find all the non-default initialization parms listed at instance startup. Then read up on each one of them in the Reference Manual. Take a look at your listener.ora, tnsnames.ora, and sqlnet.ora files, then look up what you see there in the network administrators manual.

Is there a way to dynamically update date in the file comments every time I save the file?
My files starts with comments on who has created them and such.
I want to update the datefield where it says it was last modified. It would be very tiresome to update it manually every time, and I am looking for a easier way.
Of course I can always check in SVN when someone did an update, but I would like to see it in the files as well.
Could anyone point out if there already is a working solution for this or if I have to hack it myself?

some times it is deleting and some times it is not deleting.. I have also tried ...deleteOnExit();Make sure you've got no other processes holding onto it (Windows Explorer, for instance) and that you've closed any streams involved with the file. If that fails, try calling System.gc() just before deleting the file. This is a workaround for a bug in certain JVMs on Windows machines

How can I access the files on my time capsule?
I bought this thinking it could be used as additional storage, like a hard drive only wirelessly. It appears to be functioning as backup but I don't know how to access the files to see if it actually is. Any advice? When I click on time machine in the finder it just takes me to a folder that says Data with no entry for date modified. Yet elsewhere it tells me it has been backing up every half hour or so. Whats the deal?
You do not access the backup file store directly.. you access it via Time Machine.. the files are not stored in a way you would directly access anyway.. all files are stored as a backup in a very complex structure.
Read Q14-17 on how to use restore to get files out of the TM backup.
http://pondini.org/TM/FAQ.html
If you want to access files on the TC, copy them directly to the TC .. don't use backups as a method of access to other devices. -
Some time ago after installing the new Adobe Creative Suite 5, my indd file extensions lost their association to InDesign. I mis-clicked when trying to correct this and accidentally selected Firefox from the list of programs. But now I can't seem to correct the problem. I've reassociated the file extension with InDesign, but when I try to open the file, a dialog box pops up in Firefox asking if I'd like to open the file in InDesign. If I click OK, a new tab and new dialog box pops up -- endlessly. I've tried editing the registry but nothing seems to work. How can I erase firefox from this file extension's memory?
This is actually based on how the site handles different file types; Hotmail gives it to the browser as "application/octet-stream" or something like it, whereas sites that properly open it in the browser tag it as "application/pdf". Unfortunately there's nothing you can do about this without setting up a proxy to rewrite the HTTP headers. Complaints to Hotmail in the past haven't worked, and it's not possible to override the behavior in Firefox.

How can I view the files on my Time Capsule without using Time Machine?
In the past Time Machine was backing up to a regular external disc and I could view the files easily. I'm new to the Time Capsule and not sure this is possible as I can't "find" the Time Capsule disc.
Thanks for any tipsThe Time Capsule's drive appears as a network drive, so it doesn't show up as an external drive.
To access to it, first make sure you are connected to the Time Capsule. Then, open a Finder window and you will see the Time Capsule's drive in the sidebar, under "Shared". Select it and you will be able to access to the files stored in the Time Capsule -
Why does Firefox trigger the UAC warning each time I open it?
I design websites and test them across most browsers. We use Windows 7 operating system, and only Firefox triggers the User Account Control message on our test computers, which is a major annoyance when opening instances of Firefox in rapidfire order as web designers do. Is there a way to disable it? The UAC is not triggered by Opera, Safari, Chrome and we have made sure we have not checked properties-compatibility tab - "Run this program as administrator" in both the Firefox.exe file as well as any desktop shortcuts - as advised by several people and contributors to Firefox forums. But that doesn't have an effect. Each time we test, we get the Windows 7 UAC message. We've written to Microsoft several times and they have not replied. We thought perhaps you'd have a solution that actually works.
ThanksI reinstalled first without deleting everything and then as you suggested. The program now comes up ok when I log in as administrator. However, it is the only program I have that suddenly won't work as a non-administrator without requesting that the administrator approve it to make changes to my computer. I have looked at the permissions and they are the same as for WordPerfect, for example. I don't expect that this program makes changes to my computer that will bother any other users.
Why does Windows 7 think that Firefox is going to change the computer for other users? -

Please help as its on Production EnviornmentHi,
but sir by setting /3gb paramter , kernel memory will be reduced by 1 GBYou only need 10-20% of total RAM for the kernel!
It's 4GT! How much RAM is on this server?
A VERY COMMON issue with Oracle 32-bit Windows is that the server has 8 gig RAM, but the SGA only uses 2 gig, leaving huge wasted RAM areas.
See these important notes for sizing your SGA and PGA:
http://www.dba-oracle.com/art_dbazine_ram.htm
Also note that you do not have to use $GT, you can also use AWE instead:
http://www.dba-oracle.com/oracle_tips_ram_waste.htm
does it mean windows 32 bit platform is unfit for oracle? All 32-bit systems are constrained by addressable memory (2**32~=2 gig).
To use larger RAM regions, you must employ special tricks In Windows, 4GT or AWE) to move the data buffers "above the line".
Hope this helps . . .
