Interfaces for storing DB queries

Is it a good idea to create an interface to store all the queries used in a JSP powered site? If not, what is a good place to store the queries, so in the event that for example, a table name is changed, the query doesnt need to be updated in multiple files. Thanks.

Thats not too bad of an idea. I dont know alot about JavaBeans but thats probably just about the same thing. Thanks for the help, I'll look into that.

For example, I have one variable "Currency" for two different queries, and I need that all of these queries (in separate iViews) would use the value of currency was put by user in the first iView with only one input.

In the above link it is showing Soap to JDBC Sceanrio which is synchronous. For JDBC, only simple table is used. Instead you can use the stored procedure.

Designing user interface using custom c++ library(SDK) for pluging is very tedious work .so when I search the net than i found that we can do it using Adobe Creative Suite Extension Builder but i dont know how to use it to develop user interface for plugin and to how to enable event handling in this UI .I read lots of document regarding this on net but they all created lots of confusion in my mind so can anyone help me to know steps which i must follow to develop plugin using this or whatever technology (action script,java script etc)

To give a brief of how to develop UI using JS you can use ScriptUI to develop your UI, it is a fast and OS independent approach to UI development. The UI created using JS is native in look. You can refer the following link for some help on ScriptUI

I don't have much info regarding development in CS SDK, but i can point you to one more direction of dev called as hybrid plugins wherein the UI is created in CS SDK, and appropriate methods are exposed from the C++ plugin(enhancing the script object model) to be called up by the CS code for too and fro communication between these two modules of code.

User interface for the CAF project

             to make user interface for the CAF i have written a simple
webservice application for storing the data in the database using JDBC operation
   i have imported the webservice in the EXTERNAL SERVICE and mapped
in the required in the entity service , every thing worked fine but when i have
imported the model for developing the USER INTERFACE for the webservice
   there is no EXECUTABLE NODE
      can anyone provide a clear idea how i can proceed further .

Couple of things - you can open the interface for any instrument or plug-in by double-clicking its insert slot on the channel strip. You can configure Logic to automatically open the interface for a plug-in when you first instantiate it in the preferences. Go to Logic Pro > Preferences > Display > Mixer, and check the box for "Open plug-in window on insertion".

APO DP - BADI for storing forecast error in mass processing

I am using APO DP V5.
Does anyone have experience of using the BADI for storing the forecast error in mass processing?
My questions:
1. Which BADI is it?
2. Which forecast errors can it store (eg MAD, MAPE, customer specific errors?)
3. How does it work - does it store the fcst error(s) in a key figure, or a table?
Any advice appreciated.

Go to SE19 --> create implementation: BADI name /sapapo/sdp_fcst4. give some Z name to implementation. Go to interface tab, select activate_fcst_version method, just write 1 line code inside:
ev_flag_active = 'X'.
activate the method, activate the BADI implementation too.
This BADI records background forecasting errors into these two tables: /sapapo/fcsthead & /sapapo/fcstaccu.

Keychain is nice, but I prefer to use 1Password. It's got a nice user interface, and does what I need. It stores passwords, notes, identitiy info, credit card info, application registration numbers, saves hardware information such as your router settings, and more. It also has a secure password generator. There's an extension that keeps a button in the browser toolbar for Safari, etc., so you can submit your info (password, credit card) with the click of a button, and without having to type the information in through the website you are visiting. It also pays attention when you are signing in to a website, and asks you if you want to save the login to 1Password. Once you get them all entered, it's a big timesaver.

CreateDirectSqlQuery for "raw" SQL queries?

I need a query that will return a count from a SQL query. SQL is needed (RQL not sufficient) because the query requires joins that are not part of the explicit ATG model. createDirectSqlQuery sorta seems like it might support this, since it has a "returned" props list, but there does not seem to be any documented way of passing in parameters to the query. It's funny because RepositoryPropertyDescriptor has the capability of storing a value (along with class, description, etc), but the pInputParameterClasses parameter is an array of classes with no values.
Is this the right call for ad-hoc queries? And, if so, how do you pass in values for the "?" substitutions?

I missed that GSAView is not in the API doc. It's basically the implementation class of the RepositoryView that is used. Obviously the method I mentioned is not document or supported, though I have no reason to think it won't work. I think overall you are right and there is documented and supported way to pass parameters for a direct SQL query. This sounds like an oversight in the ATG API.
Will a SQL passthrough query work for your purposes? The only difference is that SQL passthrough query does not support stored procedures and won't preload other properties besides the id (e.g. after querying the item, to get a particular property value would involve more queries done automatically the GSA code on a getPropertyValue() call).

I like to have a lot of explications for this cutomizing for a flow PM.I would like call a catalog if I create order PM never pass to EBP sytem.
If I finish this customizing Interface for <b>Procurement</b> <b>Using Catalogs (OCI)</b> in R/3 system who R/3 taking all informations for a catalog when a order PM has been created.
There is a button to use a catalog if a transaction IW31 or IW32 has been executed or not?
This version SAP is ECC5.

here are high level steps for PM/OCI:
- SPRO: Maintenance and Service Orders -> Interface for Procurement Using Catalogs (OCI) --> Define Catalogs
- SPRO: Maintenance and Service Orders -> Interface for Procurement Using Catalogs (OCI) --> Assign Catalog to Order Type
As of SAP ECC 5.00, PLM Extension (EA_PLM 500), you can call up an external catalog in a maintenance order or service order, a maintenance task list or a network, and copy services from this catalog into the order or task list or network.
You also now have the option of storing multiple catalogs for each of the following criteria:
- Order type and planning plant
- Task list category and plant
- Network type and plant
If all this customizing is OK, a little "Catalog" button will appear in maintenance or service order transaction.

Hi,
i insert to RA_INTERFACE_LINES_ALL interface for doing conversion for my AR invoice. But recently my customer wants to use the attachment on AR INVOICE and AR INVOICE LINE for storing some information.
What is the interface table name that i can use? i notice the base table is fnd_documents_short_text. What is the SQL statement to show the result given the AR INVOICE TRX NUMBER?

Problem to deploy to a WebService interface for ADF Business Components to Weblogic Server

I'm trying to deploy a custom application ,in which i have exposed ADF Business Components through a WebService interface, to a standalone weblogic server.
Application Module is configured with a Service Interface for ordinary ViewObjects.
Now I want to create a EAR file of this application to deploy it on the weblogic server.
But I got an error while deploying it.The error i am getting is shown below.
ERROR: No Java EE modules detected in EAR archive. Deployment aborted. == (oracle.jdevimpl.deploy.ear.WeblogicAssembler)

Open Interface for OM to Contracts in R12

I am facing an issue regarding with OM to Contracts interface, in R12 Warranty contracts are created with standard coverage and having no line for coverage in table OKC_K_LINES_B. Can anyone let me know how we can insert the actaul coverage line into table OKC_K_LINES_B.

As far as I know there is no interface for it.
Check if you can use EGO_ITEM_AML_PUB.Implement_AML_Changes.
If that does not work, you can do a straight insert into the MTL_MFG_PART_NUMBERS
The main columns are manufacturer_id , organization_id, inventory_item_id , and mfg_part_num.
Oracle validates only the first 3. And it does not allow duplicates of the first 4 columns.

Interface for Excel does not work in Windows 7 - Important

Im using BPC 75 MS SP04 with a computer Windows 7, IE 9, Office 2007. Apparently the Excel works "fine", the issue is that whenever I try to access to Interface for web from the main page (clicking the icon) it does not work, does not do anything...
What do you suggest to do?
Working directly in excel is not a problem, accesing to templates vía "Etools - Open dynamic templates" is fine.
The issue is that users that have every access controlled by BPF's (using Interface for Web) cannot work.
Also, we use a template that uses 12 EVDRE reports in the background, we know it is a lot... but it was required like that.
Once accesing to this template vía Etools -Open dynamic template... Excel gets stuck and I have to force it to shut down.
Also Im working with a Vista system, Office 2003.
For this systems, we also use the template EVDRE (12 reports). Once any of both systems access to this specific template, Excel gets stuck and I have to shut it down. Any other template is able to work with, but these 2 machines (7 and Vista) cant.

Based on SAP Note: 1603248, IE9 is not supported on BPC 7 and 7.5.
So you have to revert to IE8.
Only IE8 and IE7 are supported in 7.5 MS.

I do this all the time, I put my MBP to a 60 inch Sharp. If you have the video working do the simple thing first. Check to make sure your sound is on your TV and Mac. Then if that doesn't work go to System Prefrences and under sound go to a tab called Output and see if your TV is listed and if it is change it to that setting
