Interference between the MBA and the airplane in-seat power plug

I wanted to check if some of you had a similar problem recently:
Comfortably sitting on a 15+ hours Air Canada flight between Vancouver, Canada and Sydney, Australia, I was looking forward to experiencing my MacBook Air for a longer period of time. After a few hours of usage, I needed to recharge the battery. Good news, there was a 110V power plug in the seat, so I connect my power adapter. And then, I get a huge surprise… the multi-touch trackpad starts behaving in a very strange way… the cursor starts jumping across the screen, when in the finder, the desktop icons change sizes… and as soon as I disconnect the power, everything is back to normal. I was therefore able to watch a movie on the Air, but every time I needed to move the cursor, I had to disconnect the power cord first???
I tried this again on my flight back, and if the problem is still there. I reported it to Apple Support in Canada earlier today. It sounds really strange that a sub-notebook designed for road-warriors could have problems when used in a typical scenario for the target audience.

Yes, I've seen those symptoms. My Air only arrived yesterday, and the trackpad behaved this way from the first time I turned it on - jumpy or non-responsive when plugged in, but fine when running from battery. Long story short, I called Apple and we spent about an hour testing various things to prove it wasn't a software problem. Apple pronounced it DOA and advised me to bring it to the nearest service center for repair/replacement.
But after I called Apple, I plugged it in somewhere else, and it works fine even when plugged in. It was originally plugged into a UPS. Any other plug in the house and it works fine -- indeed, it even works fine when plugged into my other UPS. So there's something wrong with the power that UPS is putting out, and the same thing must be wrong with the plane you were on. (Or all planes?)
My dilemma now is that I don't know if this is just a characteristic of the trackpad, or if it's a hardware defect and I should get this one replaced after all. I did have an MBP (and other laptops) plugged into the same UPS before and none of them had any trackpad issues.
I found some posts elsewhere that suggest there's a grounding problem that can mess with the trackpad, so maybe this is a hardware problem? But I also found something from Apple that warns that third-party power supplies can mess up the trackpad, so maybe my UPS, these third-party power supplies, and your planes all have the same problem.
I'm going to call Apple back tomorrow and see if second- or third-level support has any advice given this new information.

Communication between the computer and the disc drive failed

The disc can’t be burned because because communication between the computer and the disc drive failed (error code 0x80020022). This computer has been out of the box for less than a month and this has been a growing problem.

My problem was FIXED at the apple store..... there was something wrong in the system preferences and the genius deleted something that recreated it's self. Surely enough we we're able to burn a 600 mb dmg of nothing onto a few test disks. For anyone having this issue...it's NOT The media, it's some configuration issue within the computer's preferences. I'm telling you all to take your machine to the nearest apple store and have them fix it, if your machine is still under warranty the fix is free. There was no hardware issue, so the optical drive was not replaced.

Yes you can copy the content to your new machine and use Home Sharing to keep the content identical
Connect the two machines via an ethernet cable it is 3 times faster than Wifi. Turn wifi off on one machine to enforce ethernet connection
In System Preferences, Sharing turn on File Sharing
Then
Copy the music/itunes folder from the Macbook pro to the music/ folder on the imac
Both machines should now have the same library
Disconnect H the ethernet cable
Set up Home Sharing and under Settings at the bottom of the Home Sharing page. Select to transfer new purchases.
Do the same on the other machine.
Then when you r machines are connected by wifi and each time you start itunes it will transfer your new purchases

In iOS 6, now both the iPad and the Apple TV have to be on the same network and both have to be connected using WiFi ? Why did they change this ? Means that the iPad and the Apple TV box both have to be in range of the wireless router when this wasn't a restriction before. Apple TV could be anywhere as long as it was connected to the same wireless router via ethernet cable. Seems like an unnecessary thing to restrict.

I have found with AppleTV that it is the IPV6 on the computer you want to access is the problem. The issue is that Homegroup on Win 7 or Win 8 requires IPV6 to work, but AppleTV won't work with IPV6. (So maybe double check you have IPV6 turned off)
So you have to make a choice - Homegroup or AppleTV.... but you can't have both, until Apple brings ATV up to date. (crazy that it does not recognise IPV6 - c'mon Apple!)
You can set up sharing individually in Win 7 or 8 and have the ATV access files that way.
Having said that, there is always the exception.. I have an old HP home server running Win8 and it services ATV - but is part of the Homegroup... have no idea why it works on both, but no other machine on the home network will talk to both ATV and Homegroup at the same time!

In a nutshell, the Air is a lightened, more compact system than the 13" Pro counterpart. The Air loses some hardware features to accommodate the physical downsizing.

A lesser performing CPU to retain battery charge life, and adequate cooling.

No Kensington lock slot
The Air does have a superior native resolution at 1440 x 900, and a standard SSD that does make up alot of the speed differential, and then some. Of course, the 13" Pro can be optionally configured with an SSD.
You buy the Air if the physical size an weight savings are demonstrably more important than the features lost.

I am running XP SP 2, on a Dell Vostro 1000, Palm OS Garnet v5.4.7 on a Tungsten E2. I have worked though issues relating to synchronization, Outlook 2007, Docs to Go, etc., in the past. Thank you board members!
Once I worked thru all the initial problems, my Tungsten E2 was sync' ing beautifully to my laptop until a few days ago. There have been no changes (I know of) to the configuration, but now I receive "The connection between your device and the desktop could not be established. Please check your setup and try again." On the laptop I sometimes get "USB device not recognized." I am unclear why I get the PC message sometimes and not others.
I have tried the following: (not necc exactly in this order)
Double checked Hot Sync Mgr settings: Local USB (ver. 6.0.1)
Reset the Palm (multiple times)
Rebooted the laptop (multiple times before and after the Palm resets)

Followed Device Mgr Troubleshooter - went all the way thru with no solution
Tried all four USB ports - the PC's bell-like tone does not sound when I disconnect or reconnect the Plam's cradle like it does when I conn/disconnect other USB devices -I think that is a clue. ...?
Cleaned the Palm's contacts (and cradle's contacts with a old, dry toothbrush)
Read all the posts under "USB device not recognized."

Using a cradle with the Tungsten E2? Tried bypassing the cradle and just use the hotsync cable? Tried a different computer yet? Somehow, the PC is having problems getting a signal from the device. I assume you have the laptop charger plugged into the laptop during this? Not going through a docking station or port-replicator.
One crazy thing you can try is unplug the charger from your laptop, remove the battery from the laptop and leave it out for like 10mins and put it back in and reboot the laptop. This should not cause side effects but still contact your OEM to make sure that nothing else is needed after leaving the battery out for extended period of time. Keep me posted.

both r free but they are used in diffrent applications. sdk are used for simple apps that run on your computer while j2e (enterprise edition) are ment for large distributed computer systems that include servers and such. if you don't know the diffrence you probably wont need the the j2e, only the sdk.

There is new functionality in ERP6 that checks the difference in price price between the requisition and the order. The configuration is under Purchase Requisition -> Tolerance Limits -> Define Tolerance Keys. This is very useful functionality when the requistion item is approved at an estimated price, but a purchasing group needs to change the $ value it will block the Purchase Order.
I have this configuration menu available in SPRO in one of my systems (IDES), however on a newly installed ERP6 system we are missing this menu path in SPRO.
Does anyone know why this menu path in SPRO is missing on some systems...

I've done some digging and the tables that store these config settings are part of US Federal Governement addons.
Looks like all the (non government) sites that need it aren't able to have it. Great shame really as this would be very useful to communicate with the requestor whena price difference occurs.

Customise table inconsistency between ABAP Dictionary and the databas

Hi all,
I have encountered a problem where by, I was not able to activate a table due to inconsistency between ABAP Dictionary and the database.
After I run the SE14--> Check Database object. It has show that there is a missing Unique Index(Primary Index) at the Database Level, but at ABAP Dictionary it is there.
I have try to recreate the primary index at the Database level, but failed. Because one of the primary key field is been dropped from this table.
So now, may I know how can I still make this table Active again?
Is it save to folllow the following solution that I found on internet?
Syntax error in SDCC, table inconsistency between ABAP Dictionary and the database, transport error 8 during the generation of ABAP Dictionary. When you call Transaction SDCC, a termination occurs due to a putative syntax error because a table is not known or active. When you check this with the ABAP dictionary (SE11), you notice, that the table is active or inactive, however it is not possible to activate it. The activation might terminate with the error message 'Inconsistency between ABAP Dictionary and database'. A check of the affected object also delivers this error.
Solution
Proceed as follows:
Log on as user DDIC
Call Transaction SE14
Enter the affected table name and
select EDIT
In the following screen, choose Table -> Reconstruct
Confirm the execution
Call Transaction SE11
Enter the affected table name
Display
Activate

For one, their form factors are slightly different as the iPhone has a bit more squarish body whereas the iPod Touch has a tapered back to it.
