Interlace lines when export Alpha Ch.

Hey all video fanatics out there, here is one for you!
I'm chroma keying a subject behind a green screen...worked great! My problem is when I export to Quicktime + Alpha channel (using Quicktime Animation setting) the QT file has an annoying interlace look, but when i export normal mov. file looks great. *HELP PLZ!*

try rendering the file as anaimation codec first. then re-import the exported file and then use chroma filter and export with current sequence settings. see if you lose the jaggies.
what is the format of the original ?
make sure you have field dominance set off on your sequence setting and check your export options for interlacing options in the settings.

  • Interlace lines on export, mixed media project (Canon XH A1and iPhone 4S)

I'm having a problem when exporting my project from Final Cut Pro X 10.0.7. I have shot at 50i on my Canon XH A1 and am also using iPhone 4S footage. It plays fine when editing but when I export using the .h264 codec I get horrible interlace lines across the footage which are really pronounced when there is any type of motion in the shot.
I've tried ticking the de-interlace box on the clip settings, changing the settings to progressive, changing the fields to upper or none and exporting the project again but I'm still getting these lines when playing the exported film in VLC player.
    Please help!

Thanks Tom, I knew it must be something simple I was missing. Big help!

  • Avoid interlace combing when exporting to wmv

    Hi All,
I am running on an updated MBP with FCE 4 and flip4mac pro studio.
I can not seem to find an ideal setting when exporting to *.wmv to avoid interlace combing and poor quality (pixalated look).
Your guidance woudl be great ly appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Erik

    Ronald,
In addition to Steve's very important questions, I have another:
What else is running on your computer (often launched "behind the scenes," at bootup), while you are editing? Most computers have a lot of unnecessary programs, and processes, that launch at start, and can really eat up computer resources. You can check to see what gets loaded with MSCONFIG, and then looking at the Startup and Services Tabs.
Good luck, and please let us know a bit more.

  • Lines when exporting to PDF (in print)

    Hello,
I have an indesign document with several transparent layers (light grey layers).
They all show fine on screen, and print perfect here. But when sending it to the printshop I ran into some white hairlines.
When exporting to PDF X/1a I get loads (transparency flattened), when exporting to PDF X/4 I do get a slight edge (in white) where the gradient transparency ends.
I do believe this issue is at the printer end, but 'yes we use PDF' was the only input I got from them.
Again, they print just fine on my home printer, but don't with the 'pro' printing company my company uses :s
Any advice, besides exporting to tiffs on those pages?
    Thanks!

I could paste the graphic with fade in photoshop and match the background.
The think is, the front cover for example has more transparency and layers and prints just fine.
Does stitching occur more on lighter objects and backgrounds?
I obviously can't trust the printer we're using to handle the flattening so we'll have to use a workaround.
    Thanks

  • Weird Lines when Exporting PNGs - help!

I'm getting some funky lines in images I export from Illustrator as PNGs. Anyone else have this issue, or have a solution?

Looks like transparency issues when saving PNGs with the Interlaced option... Since you seem to be opening them in Photoshop for further editing, I wouldn't bother. Simply export as PSD or TIF and save as PNG from PS when realyl needed...

  • A single table line generating more than 2 lines when exporting to Excel

    Guys,
I do have an interactive report on apex with a varchar2(4000) column that is generating more than 1 excel row per table row. In another words:
    Table my_report
    file_id number,
    file_comment varchar2(4000)
    Query on report
    select file_id, file_comment from my_report
It generates 5 lines on report screen but, when I export to excel using csv or xls format, it generates more than 5 lines. On file_comments field on excel, some of them has a break in 2 or 3 lines. Seems to me a line feed problem with CHR(13) or chr(10).
Anyone as a solution or a similar problem like this? Any idea?
    Andre.

you could try to remove the linebreaks in the select.
    select file_id, file_comment, replace(replace(file_comment,CHR(13)),CHR(10)) file_comment_nobreak
from my_reportThen depending on the type of report you could show one column, but export the other column in the excel/csv file. Not sure if this works with an interactive report too.

  • Significant quality loss and jagged diagonal lines when exporting from FCP

I've been working on this problem for several days and I'm going insane! Every time I export my movie from Final Cut, there is a significant quality loss. It is most noticeable in two ways: diagonal lines become very jagged (looking somewhat like diagonal lines in an older video game -- more a diagonal sequence of blocks); also, in some areas such as faces, the colors get a little blurry and there seems to some "pooling" of colors around the edges of the face.
I'm pretty sure the problem's not in capture: the Quicktime clips that I captured from the camera are all pristine. When I play them in Quicktime, I can blow them up several times their original size, and they maintain their sharp lines. (I also Reverse Telecined them all with Cinema Tools, if that's relevant.) I also know the problem's not just my computer monitor; when I play these movies on my external monitor and TV, they look bad too. The clips look bad after I bring them into Final Cut, and while I'm editing, but at first I figured that was because Final Cut sometimes doesn't show full resolution in the timeline. Still, when I export, the quality of the original captures just isn't there.
    Some details:
Captured from 24A progressive, Sony HVR V1U HDV.
Using Final Cut 6.0.1, Compressor 3.0.1, Quicktime 7.2.0, OS 10.4.10 (all the most recent versions I believe).
I've exported in many different ways: using Compressor (and have tried a number of different settings: the DVD Best Quality 90 Minutes default Setting, as well as using a variety of bit rates from 3.0-8.0, One pass CBR, Two pass CBR, Two pass VBR, Two pass VBR best; Video Formats NTSC, HD 1440x1080...I have tried many combinations. Regardless of the size of the m2v created, the files seem to have the same problem over and over. I've also tried exporting from Final Cut as a Quicktime Movie and with Quicktime Conversion. Same result. I also tried using different compressors with my Final Cut sequence: Apple Intermediate Codec (which I used when capturing -- you have to with the Sony HVR), HDV 1080p24, HDV 1080i60, Apple Pro Res 422, H.264...
What's happening? Why is Final Cut turning my nice pristine captures into jagged foulness? What can I try that I haven't yet?

    Welcome to the forums!
Unfortunately, you seem to have tried everything I can think of, and I don't have the latest versions of FCP to know if it is a bug. However, in the off chance that you haven't given this a shot:
Take a problematic 10 second section of your timeline (set in and out points) and the Export -> Quicktime (not QT Conversion) and make sure that you have it on Quality settings that you captured, and select the "Make Self Contained" box.
Look at that in Quicktime and see if it's bad. If it's not problematic, use that video file in Compressor for your render.
    Hope that helps!

  • Strange lines when exporting from Illustrator

I am having an issue that's driving me crazy, I've tried everything and I still can't figure out why it's doing this.
I created a template in Illustrator,  very basic,  just some 1 inch circles.   The goal is to color them in different color palettes and then save it as a PDF.   In Illustrator,  they show up completely fine,  the pattern fills sometimes have those little seam lines but those don't show up at 100% so I'm not worried about that.
My issue is that when I bring these graphics into Photoshop,  these little white lines appear in random places,   these are not pattern seam lines and there's no reason I can think of for them to be there.  I figured it may have been a corrupt file,  so I started from scratch and the lines are still there.  I've tried  copying it directly from Illustrator and pasting it into Photoshop,  same issue.  Saving as a TIFF,  same issue.
Here's an example of the line I'm talking about,  it's faint but noticeable on my screen,   any idea what might be causing this?
    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v648/hazelsmrf/line.jpg
The only thing I can think of is that when I turn off all pattern fills and only use solid color fills,  these lines don't show up.  I'm not sure why a pattern fill on a circle two circles away would cause a line to show up on a solid colored circle that's completely unrelated to the pattern fill though.   I am using CS5.

My Illustrator is fully up to date so that doesn't seem to be the issue.
I loaded the PDF into Acrobat reader and those lines don't show up there,  they only show up in Photoshop,  strange?
How I've brought it into Photoshop:  save as,  PDF,  or Tiff,  these didn't work.
Copied it directly from AI into PS,  did not work.
Saved as .AI and loaded that into PS,  did not work.
I just tried it as PSD and it worked!  However I've not been able to duplicate that because every time I've tried to export it to PSD since then it says I don't have enough memory,  argh.   Not sure why it worked the first time and not after.
Oh and the pattern fills were created with a blank no fill square on the bottom,  then a color filled square on top,  and then a few circles in a diagonal to make a polka dot pattern. Nothing goes past the square,  there's nothing in outline mode to show why it would do this.

  • Missing lines when exporting to local file

I've recently created a query in SQ01 which pulls out sales order information and uses a data reading program to display the texts.
The query works absolutely fine and shows all the data required in SAP.
The problem comes however when I export it to Excel using the ALV functionality of Export to Local file - spreadsheet. some of the lines in the middle of the report are missing in the saved excel file despite them being present in SQ01.
However if I use the method of Export to local file - in the clipboard... and paste the data into an excel sheet, all the lines are present.
What could be the cause of this issue? I could use the method of copying to the clipboard but a lot of people use this report and they aren't all comfortable with the copy paste method (because you then have to perform text to columns etc.) so it would be better if I could work out why it's not working in the original way and fix it.

    Hi Benjamin,
let me first put in a question.
Why don't you use the direct to excel export?
If there's an issue with the inplace excel, there's an easy work-around for that.
From the alv-grid chose printing preview, when you use the excel button from there, you'll get the popup asking you for format, table type etc. and then rewards you with a (usually) complete and readable excel.
Note, that the download to local file, with spread-sheet option, creates an ascii csv file, with an xls extension. It's not quite an excel file.
It might be exccel and not the export.
    Give it a try.

  • Getting rid of scan lines when exporting

I've noticed that no matter what method I use to export, I get scan lines within my video. Do I have to change a setting? I get them even if I export in full quality.

There are no scan lines in this situation. That is progressive video on a progressive display. Period.
next debugging question, what are you seeing that you are calling "scan lines"?

  • Cross Tab Grand Total Out Of Line When Exporting to Excel Data Only

Does anyone have a solution to this issue:
Setting up a cross tab report with a grand-total field at the end of it and exporting to Excel Data Only format, moves the grand total values one column to the right of where the should be.
    eg:
    Company    Month    Revenue    Total
    Acme       200710   1000.00    1000.00
    Indigo     200710   2000.00    2000.00
    Total                          3000.00   3000.00
Thanx for any input - looks better in fixed font.
the 2nd 3000.00 appears to the right of the Total column and not under it

    Hi,
Of what i gather from ur scenario...this is what i did in one of my reports.
I had to use two subreports and they had to occupy one cell each, in line with other fields.
To obtain that, all the fields required in the subreport i put them into a text box.Therein restricting the fields to the txt box only...
Then import that sub-report as it is.
    It worked for me....
    try out...
All this only if've understood u right...

  • Interlaced lines when capturing  S-VHS audio.

I’ve read many similar postings on this issue, but I still can’t get the transfer quality I expect.
To play my S-VHS tapes, I’m using a JVC HR-S3800U. The unit is in excellent condition.
When playing through my computer monitor’s S-VHS input , the quality is excellent.
I bought a ADVC110 and trying to capture the video using Premier CS4 (I also have Premier CS6 on another pc). I’m getting interlacing issues on both machines.
I also have a TBC-1000, which I placed between the VCR and the ADVC110, but that didn’t help.
Is there any way to fix this during capture. I'll be doing about 100 tapes.
    Thanks,
    John

I Just upgraded from PPro 1.5 to CS4 a few days ago, and I'm finding the preview window in 1.5 handled interlace video a lot better than CS4 is handling it.  But you have to remember, even a CRT monitor is progressive, so you are going to see interlacing artifacts some of the time.
i Use a ADVC-300 and what I do is I run an analog signal out the back, to an older interlace TV, during the capture process to ensure the video is playing back correctly.  And then once the capture is done, I send a digital feed out to to the 300 to playback on the TV to ensure it captured properly.

  • Exported footage has major interlaced lines!

Hi, I was hoping somebody could help me with this encoding problem.
I'm using Premiere Pro CS4 and when I export my video using the "MPEG2-DVD PAL Progressive Widescreen High Quality" preset, the resulting video has major interlaced lines when playing back on my DVD player. I confirmed the progressive option was selected in the advanced video options.
I'm not sure what could be causing this since the source footage is supposed to be progressive (HDCPRO HD at 720p) and all the project and sequence settings are progressive. Here's the details:
    Source Footage:
    Manufacturer: Panasonic
    ModelName: AG-HVX200E
    Type: P2 Movie
    File Size: 4.0 GB
    Image Size: 960 x 720
    Pixel Depth: 0
    Frame Rate: 25.00
Source Audio Format: 48000 Hz - 16 bit - Mono
Project Audio Format: 48000 Hz - 32 bit floating point - Mono
    Total Duration: 01:12:08:14
Average Data Rate: 963 KB / second
    Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1.3333
    Sequence Settings:
    Editing Mode: P2 720p 50Hz DVCPROHD
    Timebase: 50.00 frames/second
    Frame Size: 960x720 16:9
    Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1.333
    Fields: No Fields (Progressive Scan)
When I export the footage using upper lines (instead of progressive) they play back fine on my DVD player.
Any ideas to what could be causing the interlaced lines when exporting as progressive?
    -Pete

    OH...I just remembered something...
I have an old TV...which is 4:3.   ntsc but dont matter I dont think re: this subject...
I made a DVD that was 16:9 and played it on my old dvd player ...and watched it on old tv.  It CROPPED the 16:9 frame !
Playing on my computer it was fine...as I have a flat widescreen...
But I wanted to watch this video while sitting on my couch, on TV , as I was making final decisions about the edit and making notes (stopping , starting, etc )
My DVD player and tv combo does not have the option to go to a 16:9 format...so it was cropping the frame and was bad news.
To fix this I had to open a new project as 4:3 and put the 16:9 video into that project...and scale it to fit the 4:3...which gave it black bars on top and bottom....and exported mpeg 2 dvd...burned dvd etc.
NOW when I put it on my tv it was lettebox and I could see the whole frame etc...
So, in essence I forced it to be letterbox for an older dvd and tv...
If this is something you want to consider with your pal project it doesnt take long to make that happen...
playing the first export ( 16:9 ) on NEW tv ( widescreen ) ...was fine by the way...

  • Multi line hyperlinks problem when exporting to PDF

I have a problem with hyperlinks i multiple lines when exporting a InCopy document to PDF. Its only the first line of the hyperlink that actually gets convertet to a link in the PDF file, the second line is just text.
Is this a known problem and is there a fix or a workaround?
We are using fully pached InCopy CS5 and Acrobat 9.

Is there are a real hyperlink there or are you counting on Acrobat to convert it for you?
