InterMedia installation - invalid component

After installing intermedia audio & video
manually using the ordinst.sql and iminst.sql scripts I run the imchk.sql script to check and see if everything is ok.
For some reason the InterMedia option is showing as invalid. Any guess as to why? I have removed all intermedia stuff and then reinstalled with the same results. There are no errors during installation only the component shows invalid.

What version of Oracle are you using? On which platform?
Also, could you post the output of the imchk.sql script?

EHP5 Stack File is invalid: component 'EA-HR' (stack release 600 source .

Hi all . . .
Attempting to install EHP5 on ERP ABAP stack. Currently on EHP4 SPS5.
During the configuration roadmap step, the Stack configuration overview told me that "for the following components, a Component Upgrade/Installation and/or Support Packages will be included according to the selected EhP stack configuration . . . " and it proceeded to list the various compoents and their intended releases. During that, I did take note that it wanted to move EA-HR to 600 SPLevel 0059 . . . I was surprised by this, yet I pressed on.
Now, during the Information Gathering phase (PREP_EXTENSION/SUBMOD_EXTENSION_NEW/EHP_INCLUSION) I received the error:
Last error code set: Stack file is invalid: component 'EA-HR' (stack release 600 < source release 604)
I understand that it is trying to tell me that the component is trying to install a release lower than what is already installed. The problem is, I do not know how to go about fixing it.
Any suggestions?

Hello Bryan,
I believe the best and fastest way to have EA-HR upgraded to 605 is to unselect this usage type in MOPZ, regenerate the XML without it, upgrade the rest of the system to EhP5 level and, afterwards, upgrade only EA-HR to 605 level using SAINT.

Error during installation:"Invalid Eclipse platform version" (have 3.0RC3)

I saw a new version of bpel designer on otn for download. As I hoped that it would solve my previous problem ('db schema not found') I downloaded and tried to install it.
Unfortunately I get an error during installation: "Invalid Eclipse platform version". I know that at least version 3 has to be installed. The .eclipseproduct file tells me that it is version 3.0.0. I have downloaded and installed the Eclipse SDK 3.0RC3 version a couple days ago. So it looks like that the version is OK. But I can't get around this error message.
Any ideas?

I've downloaded the GA version of Eclipse and it works now.
During the installations I saw some minor things that I'll share with you:
- path to the bpel server can be left empty, however there is a '/' already. So you have to chose a directory or delete it before you can go further otherwise an error appears. Maybe it is easier to not have the '/'.
- I wanted to have the designer and PM in the same directory. But choosing the same dir led to a warning for overwriting the dir. I didn't dare thus now I have 2 dir's. ( 1 for designer and 1 for PM).
-After installation I don't have entries in 'Start''Programs''oracle' to start the PM. This was also the case with the previous version. I start PM via the 'bat'-files under the PM/bin dir.
- starting the batch file: startOraBpel.bat starts with an error; "The system cannot find the file C:\WINNT\system32\cmd.exe /e:4096."
- Last but not least: I hoped that this would solve my re-install problem 'cannot lookup db schema version' but unfortunately that's not the case.

Can CHARM be setup to ignore Invalid Component Version?

Our SOLMAN Prod is on version 7.0 SP 25 and I'm trying to activate a new system to use the CHARM for transports.
Can CHARM be configured to take u201Cignore Invalid Component Versionu201D as a default import option like u201CLeave Transport Requester Queue for later Importu201D?

Installation of component VCSServiceManager failed for vCenter 6.0

When installing vcenter 6.0 i get the below errors; I see that there are solutions on the vcenter release notes page -https://www.vmware.com/support/vsphere6/doc/vsphere-esxi-vcenter-server-60-release-notes.html they are not working for me.
Error 1:
An error occured while starting invsvc.
VMWARE workaround: Workaround: Use the IP address or the host name of the database server to create a DSN.
Does not work for me, i use the full hostname on my DSN
Error 2:
Installation of component VCSServiceManager failed with error code '1603'. Check the logs for more details.
VMWARE Workaround: Before you install VMware vCenter Server 6.0.0, make sure the IPv4 stack is installed. If the command netsh interface ipv4 show interfaces results in a message: The request is not supported., the IPv4 stack has been uninstalled and should be reinstalled. To reinstall the IPv4 stack, run the netsh interface ipv4 install command and reboot the machine.
I don't get the error the request is not supported. No errors at all. Even if i uninstall the ipv4 stack and install it again, problem still persists.

My DSN sql server connection string dont have a trailing white space, and i even changed the DSN name, I changed the sql server connection name to the IP. Same error.

Fixed my issue. I went into SQL Configuration Manager and enabled "Named Pipes" and "TCP/IP" and it works. Don't know if Named Pipes is necessary.. maybe only TCP/IP.

Imports - EHP5 - Ignore Invalid Component Versions option

tp import help says:

XI Installation: invalid XI SAP sid adm password

During an initial XI installation on top of an ABAP + JAVA NW04 system. In the Java Deployment > Windows Domain installation step i am unable to enter the correct SAP <sid>adm password with below error message:
"Invalid password. DIAGNOSIS: The password you specified for user 'xi2adm' is wrong. SOLUTION: Enter the correct password."

Intermedia Status Invalid after 10.1.0.4 patchset

I just installed the 10.1.0.4 patche set 2. At the end of the 7.4.2 Upgrade the Release 10.1 Database it shows Oracle interMedia's status is INVALID. How can I find out what's causing the INVALID status and more importantly how can I fix it?

10.2.0.1 Installation - Invalid NULL parameter for PORT?

I've recently installed 10.2.0.1 having previously done a full de-install, following the Installation guide but came upon a problem during the Database Configuration stage. The pop-up error dialog said:
Enterprise Manager Config failed due to Invalid value null for parameter PORT
Refer to the log file C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\cfgtoollogs\dbca\orcl\emConfig.log
You can retry configuring this database with Enterprise Manager later by manually running C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\bin\emctl script

Running emctl manually didn't have any effect. So I'm stumped. Hope someone can help!

I've installed 10.2.0.1 many hundreds of times and never seen this error.
Use the installer to deinstall the software from your machine.
Go to http://docs.oracle.com and get a copy of the installation instructions and read them.
Follow the instructions.
If you still have a problem ... it is a Windows problem and you should be very suspicious of your antivirus software. One reason most of us threw away Windows long ago.

Installation problems - component installation failed

i really need help in installation of adobe premiere pro cs3. i followed everything this link told me to do:

i disabled antivirus, antispyware, windows defender, and start up programs except microsoft products.
i was only able to install adobe onlocation cs3. i have problems with adobe premiere procs3 and adobe encore cs3. the installation starts with system check. it proceeds all the way to progress. when it's about 80% progress, it stops and i get the error message component installation failed. for both these products the only parts of the software that successfully got installed is the third party components.
i have a gateway MT6707 using windows vista home premium 32 bit. it has intel pentium Dual Core and a 2 gb memory and 130 gb hard drive. if the laptop does not meet system requirements, i will get an error message telling me that the computer did not meet the minimum requirements. i know this because i tried installing the software on my desktop but in this case, the laptop met the minimum requirements.
i really do not know what to do. please help!

I recently added 2 RAID arrays to my system and shuffled the drives around, and so I decided to format the machine and start fresh to avoid any conflicts.
I began installing software last night and ran into problems with Premiere & Encore but Onlocation installed fine, as you described it. I tried repeated attempts and it failed everytime much to my horror. I unistalled fonts, restarted, ran registry scanners, defragged, and I did most of what you described and nothing worked.
I have installed CS3 3 times prior to this so I know it works. I was getting frustrated and ready to post here. But I disabled my firewall (Comodo) before the installation and it worked!

it actually, and then it worked, not sure what the problem is but it worked and I was happy. I have just switched to Comodo after having endless crap with Agnitum Outpost, so I hope Comodo does not do the same.
I have XP Pro 32 bit so I am not sure if Vista would affect it, but I doubt it.

Installation Problem - Component Install Failed

My Adobe Illustrator CS3 software stopped working for no apparent reason - the error messgae stated "Licensing for this product has stopped working".
As instructed, I therefore attempted to resolve the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling the product. A reinstall has however been unsuccessful. Each time I am told there are 2 component errors (Adobe Illustrator 3 and Shared Components).
I have tried contacting Adobe, but they are not willing to help.
I have been trying for the best part of 2 weeks now to resolve the issue myself using the online solutions featured on the Adobe website. I have worked through the suggested fixes for both the licensing issue and the component install issue - I am still unable to reinstall the software. Perhaps I am not doing something right?
Any help would be most gratefully appreciated - thank you in advance.

Damaged Installable - "invalid signature error"

Hi,
When I export a Release build for a Flex AIR Application, I am specifying a digital signature (that I created via the Flex Builder Export Release bild wizard).
But when I try to install the .ait file, it gives me the following error:
Code:
The application could not be installed because the AIR file is damaged. Try obtaining a new AIR file from the application author.
The install log says - "invalid signature error".

What causes the Lion Installation Invalid Node error?

I've had two failed installs of Lion on my intel based IMAC. I have 4 gigs of mem, 300 gigs of space and OS 10.6.8. installed. Both installation attempts led to disk damaged messages with invalid node part of the error. Each time I reformatted the drive, installed Snow Leopard, let time machine bring my files back and updated my old SL files to 10.6.8 At the end, I boot off the cd and verify my hd. The entire process takes about 12 hours.
So ... do we know what actually causes the error so my next Lion install isn't a WAAP? (Wing and a Prayer) Would love to know what to avoid or what to do to protect the installation.

Invalid component in BOM

Hello PP gurus,
Does somebody know how BOM, MRP for sceduling agreement works?
In my case, I have material X with component Y1,Y2,Y3 each with quantity 1.
Material X has a scheduling agreement and MRP relevant.
I change the quantity in BOM from 1 to 2 for Y1 and run MRP.
I goto ME38 and check the delivery schedule of my material. I goto Component-Item-New BOM explosion but I dont see the respective change of quantity of 1 to 2. Also, I dont see component Y2 and Y3.
Any idea?
The validity of all three components is same i.e upto 31.12.99.
