Intermettent data connection on iphone 5 severe problem

i am having severe 3G data connection problem. I m having iphone 5 GSM out of warranty. I have tried everything on sites. Nothjng works. Softwarw is okay. I have restored device still the problem persists. It all happened after ios 8 came. It has been a month since i m facing this problem. Cant even open a small site on safari or chrome but whtsapp will work cool. I donno wht mess it is. sometimes it works perfectly fine so i dont know if there is any hardware problem. Any idea??!?;(

YEp. I tried everything i could. Changed sim. Bought a new one thinking old one to be scratched. Contacted carrier if there were problems from other users of having iphone in my area. althought about apple service centre i went once they just told mw to do restore with itunes which i did at home but it was nothing for help. its as it is. i called them twice or thrice. Which it was 8.0.2 they said its software problem wait for ios 8.1 to come. I waited for 15days. It came but nothing changed. Then i called they said that u have to visit service centre once again. thanks btw:)

Alternatively, i learned that ATT offers wifi service now and is partnered with starbucks, but the plans i read were all listed through ATT residential internet service (not like T-mobile that provides mbile phone subscribers discounts on the wifi plan). My residential DSL/phone setup is currently through Comcast/Vonage; im unaware of wifi plans either of these 2 offer.
Appreciate any insight you are able to provide! Seems there should be a solution right under my nose!

Inconsistent data connection on iPhone 5

I have been using my iPhone 5 since last November, 2012. Lately, I've been having trouble holding a 4G LTE signal in areas that are supposed to have LTE according to the Verizon coverage map. When using the phone in areas that have 5 bars of signal, my data connection will fluctuate from LTE to 3G to '0" (1X). I have been reading that others have similar problems so I think the problem is with Verizon's network.

Hello NJ_Analyst. We definitely want you to have a consistantly fantastic experience with your iPhone 5 and LTE data service. Is this trouble happening in multiple locations or just a couple specific areas? What's the zipcode where you're having the most trouble? Does it seem to be the biggest issue when you're indoors? Connect between iPhone & PC/Mac problem

No connection between iPhone & PC/Mac, but after try to connect the iPhone direct to power supply it's OK & charging. I don't think so it's because of cable connection. Somebody know who to soft this problem? Help!!!

You mean that using the same cable (USB <-> Dock connector), when you plug to the wall, it charges, and when you plug to your PC, it does not charge ?
Did you ever use the USB port for anything else ?
Connecting the iPhone to the Mac do not even switch to charging state ?
You may need to return your iPhone for repair.

IPhone 4 - several problems (voice, videos, mic etc.)

my iPhone 4 has been working ok for some time, but recently it just started giving me many problems at once
I was trying to use headphones with it (the ones that come with the phone) and it didn't seem to switch over to them
tried to unplug and re-plug them, still not recognized, restarted the phone and still not working
soon I realized that it wasn't only the headphones that were giving issues, it was many other things too:
-when I make a phone call or receive one, I can't hear them and they can't hear me although the call is connected
-when I plug in any headphones or the mic, I cant use the remote and the volume indicator does not show headphones mode
-when I try to play videos saved on my phone I get "the operation could not be completed" (the videos played previously)
-when I try to play videos through whatsapp "this movie could not be played" (the videos played previously)
-when I try to play music, the phone automatically skips every song, I cant stop it or hear anything
I've tried restarting the phone, tried restoring (in recovery mode and DFU mode)
I was initially on iOS v.7 so I tried upgrading to 7.1.2 as well with the same issues
I have not dropped water on the phone, or dropped the phone in water
I have cleaned the headphone jack and the power connector
not sure what else I can do with it, any help is appreciated

Data Binding using XML as data connection

I'm using an XML as my data connection. It has several order fields in various sections that have unique field identifiers. I have created a random order # script that runs fine inside of the form that occurs on the first order number field but I need that same number to populate into each of the additional order fields, again that have unique identifiers. Is there a way to combine data fields?

usually you can make the binding global and all same named fields will end up with the same value. You may not be able to do that if you have bound your field to a data node in your XML. If that is the case then you will have to do it programatically. Lets assume you have Order_Number on Page 1 and Order_Number2 on Page 2. You would code on the calculate event of the 1st Order_Number field (the one where the number is calculated) - form1.Page2.Order_Number2.rawValue = form1.Page1.Order_Number.rawValue;
You can add multiple statements to equate that value to other instances of the field as you see fit. Now when any one of those values changes all of the others will be updated auto-magically!

How can I debug a problem with the 3g data connection on my iPhone 4s?

This question didn't get any answers in the "Using iPhone" forum. Thought I would re-ask here. Note, I had to reset the network again today 2 days after the last reset:
I've been having intermittent problems with my 3g data connection on my iPhone 4s on ATT. Whenever this happens I see full bars etc, but can't browse from safari or get any data in other apps. My wife's iPhone 4 right next to me has no issues at all. Switching on/off airplane mode and turning off/on Cellular Data does not help. The only thing that helps is resetting the Network Settings or hard restarting the phone.
I figured my problems were hardware related so I took my phone in for a replacement the other day. Things started out fine but after I upgraded it to 5.01 and restored my backup and now I am back to having the same issue today. I assume the issue is with something coming from my backup / restore but is there any way for me to pinpoint what could be causing the issue. I have a lot of apps, I'd rather not have to reinstall and set them all backup manually, but I would if I knew that would fix the problem... but for all I know one of the apps could be causing it.
Anyone have any logs I can check or testing I can do on my end?

Unfortunately, Apple does not make any logs available to the average schmoe (like us) for networking, kernel dumps, or anything else (assuming, of course, it is not jailbroken).
Your best bet is to take it back into the store. Ask them to look at the notes in GCRM regarding the last time this occured, then explain after upgrading to 5.01 it is occuring again. Then ask them for a phone swap since it is a reoccuring issue and doesn't sound like an OS/SW issue. Good luck!

I restored the factory settings....the phone was on recovery mode...it was verified by itunes and all that..but in the end it again said that iphone has some problem and can not function right now.

If it's a hardware problem, then the phone will need to be replaced.
There is no magic that can fix a hardware problem.

What kind of wireless router are you using? more importantly which protocol are you connecting with? Are you and wife connecting using the 2.4Ghz band? or do you have a dual band router that offers the 5GHZ band? Are you both connecting vie 802.11 a/b/g or n?
The best thing to do is to go into SYSTEM PREFERENCES and select NETWORK, then select AIRPORT and click on the ADVANCED button.
Under the AirPort tab you should delete all the preferred networks and only add back in your network with the proper security settings and passwords.
If you hold down the option key on your keyboard while clicking on the airport icon at the top on your macbook pro. you'll seesome data that will tell you what band and mode you're connecting at, as well as in an indication of signal strength (RSSI) if you write down and post back that information it'll tell us what's going on.

I have problems to connect my iphone 6 with IOS 8.0.2 to my citroen c5.

My iphone 6 has problems to connect to my citron c5 via bluetooth. After several attempts I was able to pair the phone to the car but neither are the contacts from the phone accessible by the car nor is can I successfully create calls using the car.

I was having problems with this too. I remember it working okay in iOS 7 and then it breaking in iOS 8.
Fortunately, I'm now on the iOS 8.1 beta, and can confirm it's working fine for me. Just how it used to. - I guess that's one of the bugs that Apple's new software will bust. We'll just have to wait it out.
