Intermittent Emails Undeliverable Problem to Mac Email Addresses

My mother has a Samsung Galaxy S3 and has been having problems sending emails to my mac email address and my wife's mac email address. Work emails (not Mac) work. I can send and receive emails from / to my mac email address. It doesn't seem to be a problem with the phone's configuration.
Any ideas?

Here's the email she's receiving:

  • Why Apple is blocking email from reaching my mac email account that I would like to receive.  How do I correct this?

Apple is blocking email from reaching my mac email account that I would like to receive.  How do I correct this?  There are some important emails that I am not receiving because they never make it to my inbox or even my spam account.

    Hey there MikeMach,
It sounds like people are sending you emails but they never arrive to your inbox or your Junk folder. According to the following article you may need to reach out to iCloud support directly for assistance:
iCloud: Identifying and filtering junk mail
Due to the complexity of accurately detecting and filtering out junk mail, on rare occasions a legitimate email from a friendly source may be blocked from reaching your Inbox. This is called a false positive.
If you feel that a legitimate email message was inadvertently filtered, you may want to ask your friend to send a follow-up email to verify that the issue exists. If you notice that multiple email messages are being delayed, bounced, or not delivered, contact iCloud Support. Also make sure to check your Junk folder for email messages that were incorrectly marked as junk mail. To check your Junk folder at iCloud.com, choose the Mail application and click the Junk folder in the sidebar. Email messages in the Junk folder are automatically deleted after 30 days.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Take care,
    Sterling

  • Problems with Mac email. Friends getting failed delivery notifications.

Hi. Just logging into Apple community for the first time. I have a Mac Book Air. Contacts are saying that they have problems emailing me. I'm just using the standard Mac email. They say they are getting failed delivery messages. Is there anything I can do?

    Welcome!
This is most probably a problem that should be addressed to your mail service provider. I doubt very much it is a problem with your Mac.
You could try sending yourself an email. If that "bounces" back to you as undeliverable it would be useful information to give your MSP.
    Good luck.

  • ICloud email sync problem on mac os x mavericks

    Hi,
I have a serious problem with my iCloud email on my mac. I have been using iCloud email for few years now and I never had this problem. But I am having the problem after upgrading my iMac to latest mac os x mavericks 10.9.3 couple of months back.
The problem is, when someone sends me an email, it comes to my iCloud mail immediately with no issues. That means if I login to my iCloud mail through a web browser, I see the email there. But that email may not appear to my iMac mailbox. Occasionally some emails arrive but some not. Some emails come lately some not at all.
So the mailbox on my mac is totally unusable because I am sure not all emails are seen there, so I have to keep logging into mail through browser to check if there is a new email.
I am using me.com email address.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks.

  • Thawte Personal Email Cert - Problem with Mac Mail

Hi, I have requested a free cert from Thawte and there seems to be a problem with Mac Mail (using 2.0.7).
I am using Entourage to send a signed message from [email protected] to [email protected]
If I check mail for [email protected]
Mac Mail reports "There was a problem reading the digital signature for this message"
If I check the same account with Thunderbird, everything works fine.
Anyone else having or had problems?
    -chris

    Hi,
Thanks for the responses. I requested another cert and that did not help. Here is the process I used after requesting another cert.
    1. Logged into www.thawte.com and requested a new cert.
    2. Using Firefox, retrieved the cert.
    3. In Firefox, backed up the cert to a pkcs12 file.
    4. Opened Keychain and deleted the first cert.
    5. Imported the pkcs12 backup file. Imported fine.
    6. Open Entourage, under tools, accounts, exchange profile, security, selected the cert Thawte Freemail Member.
    7. Checked all 3 options (sign, include cert, clear test signed.
    8. Created a test message from Entourage to .mac account address.
    9. Checked mail with Mac Mail and signature fails.
    10. Check with 1.02 Thunderbird and it comes back with valid digital signature.
Next, I sent a test email to my Exchange account from Entourage and that message verifies fine. It just seems to not work when I check my email with Mac Mail.
    Thanks!

  • Email problem sending .Mac email from pda Treo650

    Hi,
I have been going crazy trying so send .Mac email from my Treo650, it has actually never worked. Receiving has always worked properly, as well as receiving and sending email from other accounts.
Downloading and sending through my computer works perfectly and I have copied my computer's .Mac account settings to the PDA, but I have not yet been able to send a single email.
Can anyone please help? Thanks in advance.
    David

In Mail's menu, go to Edit > Attachments
Do you have "Always Send Windows-Friendly Attachments" checked?  You should.

  • Forwarding old email to a new mac email

Is there a way to forward my comcast.net email address to my new .mac email
address, I recently switched to FIOS and comcast is cancelling my email address
FIOS will forward for 30 days only to a verizon.net account not a mac account

    Jason,
Forwarding should normally include attachments, images and links. However, forwarding of messages with RTF or HTML will often trigger a spam filter somewhere in the path which could then alter the message. You need to be sure that is not happening. To check this send, or have someone send, a simple Plain Text message with attached JPEG to your old account, and see if this forwards correctly.
What SMTP is being used by the old account, and who provides it?
Keep in mind that if you receive messages in your old account, then you can Move them to the .Mac account Inbox with a simple Move To command in the Rule rather than a Forward, and then they would be in the .Mac Inbox with the original headers instead of those headers that result from a Forward.
    More info, please.

  • HT5361 Problems with @mac email NOT being received by others

Recently people that I have been sending email to and they are in my address book have NOT been receiving a new email from my @mac.com account.  The emails are in my Sent folder and show they have been sent.  If someone sends me an email and I reply everyone sees it.  But not a new email.  Any thoughts on what I can do to find the problem?
I've cleaned up my email, rebuilt my inboxes.  Please help!!  I use my @mac for all my business!
Oh - this happens no matter where I send the email from - iphone 5 or Ipad or macbook pro.
    Thank you,
    K

    Hi,
Part of the final question will depend on how you got to have the various email IDs
If you had an .Mac account and therefore the @mac.com email and then Linked this to @me.com in MobileMe then people can send to either and it will turn up in your mail box.
The same is true if you then linked the MobileMe @me.com to the iCloud account which moved the @me.com address to iCloud and may have latter given you the @iCloud.com.
In this case people could send to any of the three IDs and they will be received in your In box.
You should be able to login to iCloud (the web page) with any of the IDs (they all use the same password) and view the mail from there.
There should not really be any problem sending from one type of account compared to another.
I am not aware of any filtering either by Apple on older @mac.com IDs or Google not accepting them.
In the Window Menu of Mail there is the Connection Doctor which may give further clues.

  • HT201342 Why would I want an iCloud email instead oh my mac,com address

I do not see why I need an iCloud email address if I have a mac.com address

Use whichever you want, there are no additional benefits to using either.

  • Cant delete email on server via mac email imap client

    Hi,
Firstly, if this is posted in the wrong location, apologies, I didnt know where to post an email client question.
I have a macbook pro 10.6.7 and have an email account setup to my SKY email account. Its an imap account (i think its basically a google mail underneath!).
I also have the account configured on my iphone and ipad.
    OK, the infuriating bit!
If i delete an email from my ipad or iphone, no problem, it gets deleted from the sky/google server.
But if i delete them from my macbook, they just stay on the server!! Mailbox settings are to move deleted messages to trash and perm delete on quitting mail.
    Help please

Check your Mail configuration on the Mac, what you are describing looks very much like you were using the POP3 server instead of IMAP to get your mails. The two servers have the exact same IP Address and are hosted at google. If you selected the POP protocol with the IMAP Address it would still work as both have the same IP.
    POP3 - pop.tools.sky.com Port 995 (IP: 209.85.227.208)
    IMAP - imap.tools.sky.com Port 993 (IP: 209.85.227.208)

  • HT4898 I forward my other email accounts to my .mac email account, will all of that info be deleted?

Will I have to re-do the directives from my other email accounts? do you suggest saving all of the account info separately before
    migrating to iCloud?

Your @me.com / @mac.com email address will not change, so any external email accounts you have setup to forward to that address will still arrive in your iCloud account.
If you had MobileMe collect email from external accounts via POP3 (not forwarding) that won't work as iCloud cannot collect email via POP3.

  • Problem with Mac Mail Address Bar

When I type a name in the Mac Mail program, it can take as much as 15 seconds to find the record and insert the name in the TO bar of my outgoing e-mail. I was told that this may have something to do with the large volme of data bing parsed by the Mac LDAP program. How do I eleminate the long wait time. It's frustrating to simply write an e-mail to anyone. Interestingly, when I write an e-mail in Outlook on a P.C., i don't experience the same lag time issue. Anybody got any solutions?

Seems like  it  storing the same emails in different folders .  As i see now :
    All Mail  5.11 GB
    Inbox     2.82 GB
    Important  2.56 GB
    Sent Mail  1.8 GB
    Sent          767.4 MB
    Starred     482.4 MB
    Drafts      57.4 MB
    Trash       9.7 MB
    Junk e-mail  671 kb
    Bin              414 kb
    Spam      0
    Deleted Items   0
    Apple Mail To Do  0
    Priority 0
    Follow up  0
    Misc  0
from this above , i can understand that  Inbox ( 2.82 Gb )  and Sent ( 767.4 Mb ) and Drafts are  real folders that contains actual files according to the current status on server .
what the **** the other folders contains , i can not get.  I though those folders should have just show the same files available in the main folders , in different way, according to Folder focus.  Am i right ??
apparently i suspect they just copied original files for some purpuses, insead of working as simple filter folders.
can anybody explain me , how to work this out and make my Mail app do not dublicate emails , but store them in appropriate way and show it to me .

  • Add email alias to my .mac email account

I've been searching and can't find the right answer on how to do this. In mail Help, it tells me to open Mail>Preferences, click on my existing account, go to "email address" field, add new address (ie - [email protected]) separated by comma. Close window, click save in window that pops up. Tried that twice! When I open new message, click on account drop-down menu - not there. Help??

    Hi Ollie,
You're right, it doesn't make it available when you do that, but it does store that info in...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist
I can't try it right now, but I wonder if a reboot is needed before it sees.uses it!?

  • Email Problem with Mac

Hi, I am new to FIOS so I hope this is the proper board to post in.  I set up 2 subaccounts for verizon.net email and configured them for my Mac Mail program. Everything worked well for about 2 days, and all of a sudden the Mail program keeps asking for my password (even though it was saved in my Mail settings) and says the the incoming mail server is offline.  I've Googled this issue and see that others have posted about the same authentication error. Has anyone else here experienced - and solved - this problem? Thanks.

I am having the same problems with Mac eMail.  I have two Macs, one that is running Lion and the other is running Snow Leopard.  I have spent days on the phone with Apple and Verizon and they are blaming each other and neither have a solution.  Have you been able to get a response?  It looks like this is something that happens from time to time but never really gets fixed.
Please let me know if there has been a fix since the Mac Mail update in July?  With the Union Issues Verizon doesn't have enough people to address the issues both in person ( I had a tech come to the house and he didn't know anything about software ) or on the phone.  They keep kicking it back to Apple.  I also have a couple iPhones and both are working fine. So this seems to be OS X specific.  I've had Macs and iPhones for 3 years or more.
Just makes me think something was done to the mail servers they didn't get correct.
