Intermittent issue with Wifi network card.

Nothing can be more annoying than an intermittent issue. Unfortunately it does happen to my MBP. This is the new MBP purchase Jan. of this year. About 2 months ago, the MBP developes a problem. The sympotom is, after powering it on, the Wifi network card sometimes suddently stop working, even cannot be recognized by the system accidently. After the problem arise, I cannot turn on wifi again. The only way to get it back is to restart it. It used to work well with my home network and company network.
I have tried every possible mean to figure out what's wrong with it. Tried SMC reset, PRAM rest. Reinstall a new OS on a new partition (per instruction from Apple support). I hate to say this is a HW issue but support people from Apple did suggest sending it to a service center for a check up.
Before I actually dropping it at service center, I wanna know if someone has experienced that before?
Repeat, it used work well with my router.

Which antenna(s) do you have? Either 2 internal antennas or 1 external antenna.
How far away and what obstructions (walls - wood/concrete) is the wi-fi router?

Yes, same WiFi problem with safe mode. Everything was perfect until the upgrade to Lollipop. Now WiFi speed is 1/10 of before, and phone is slow in general. realy sad, sometimes even whatsapp messages takes minutes to be delivered.

Issues with WiFi connection to Deskjet 3545

Hi,
I have number of issues with WiFi connection to my new Deskjet 3545 AIO:
1. Printer is not able to get IP address automatically from home WiFi router (all other devices get IP with no problem). Using WPS allow printer to register in network but after switching off, WPS setting is not stored, so I have to do it again. This I was able to solve with manual entering of IP address, netwrok mask, DNS and gateway address.
2. Official HP software installed from HP site was able to find printer for 3dattempt, and it started to work. But after a while, "HP utility" program loose connection to printer, so I can not see any parameters, and I get "can not find printerä message when start to to print. After a some time (minutes to hours), whithout any action from my side, connection to printer seems to be restored, so I can see printer parameters in "HP utility" and printing is started.
3. Official HP software installed from HP site on PC (Windows 7) is not able to find printer on WiFi at all, works only with USB.
All this is disaponinting and unexpected, as my office HP LaserJet Pro 400 Color works perfect.

Tips for troubleshooting wireless connection issues

Move the printer and the computer closer to the router, but no closer than 6 ft (1.8 m). Wireless signals can be weaker at greater distances between the printer and the router.

If this continues I would change the Channel on the router. Routers are capable of communicating to your Notebook on several different channels. Hi all.. Since the time i bought my new PC laptop "HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC, Number: 2S23EA#BH4" , I've an issue with Wifi Connection; it's discconecting by itself sometime without any reason, then, it reconnect again like nothing happend because the "Connect automatically " option on Windows 8.1 is checked. Although, sometimes when it disconnect I have to reconnect by myself, after many troubles like I have to restart the computer, or activating the Airlplane mode, disabling the Wifi cards and enable it again.. The strange behaviours of the Wifi connection is that is sometimes show me that the Wifi's stengh is full, all 5 bars, while it should be just like 2 bars or 3 at maximum, because where I'm connecting is a bit far from the router. but this just for few seconds before disconnecting, in addition, sometimes the Wifi card disable itself and re-enable at the moment and reconnect again. Moreover, once upon time when it disconnect, it dosen't detect my router or any other Wifi network around me. while there's more than 6 Wifi's available where i am living. Generally, this issue is not excessive, but those last days, it is being immoderate. i tried to look for some solution, but none of those proposed solution worked for me. Recently started having issues with WiFi

Hello everyone,
Recently I started having serious issues with Wifi. I fixed it kind of by turning off iTunes iCloud backup, but generally the signal is low. As an iOS 5 tester in the Apple Developer program, I tested it for months on my iPod without any problems. When I got my 4S, I never had a problem with it until just a few days ago.
A friend of mine said she was also having the same problem. She claimed she turned off iCloud backup as I did, turn off both WiFi on her Mac and on her phone and reboot both. I did this. Then I turned them back on. She also suggested I forget the network and re-enter the security key. That done, it connected and had a stronger signal. After a while though, it continues to drop peareoticly. I notice that it stay's connected a lot longer now. Another friend also suggested I turn off bluetooth, although that didn't really help much. What seems to fix it tempararly is iCloud backups have to go off.
The Mac is still working great. No stupid connection errors and or dropping. I'd be curious to see if I would be having this problem with my iPod Touch. Probably not.
Anyone find any deffinate solutions to this?

Anyone else had issues with phone network being unavailable on iPhone 4 since updating to iOS 5.0.1? My iPhone 4 is continually searching for a network and does not find my provider. I swapped SIMs with another iPhone 4 on ios 4 to confirm device problem.

I swapped SIM cards with another iPhone 4 running ios 4 and established this is a device problem, not a SIM card problem.

Does the device get any signal?
Sounds like the device may have had a hardware failure. If it is out of warranty, the only option is the Out of Warranty replacement.
AppleCare is only an option if it is still under the original warranty.

Macbook Pro Retina issues with Wifi Speeds

I have one of the new Macbook Pro 15" Retina models and have been having issues with Wifi Speeds. Apple has replaced the computer but have the same issue with the new one. When doing a side-by-side comparison with older Macbook Pros and PC's I'm seeing around a 10 megabytes per second difference. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

So an update on what I've found. After testing two different MBP Retna's basically hourly for 4 weeks I found a few interesting things, but ultimately resolved my issue. The first thing I found consistently between both MBP Retina's both on my network and in the Apple store on their network was the first thunderbolt port closes to the screen is slower than if you try to use the LAN cable adapter on the second port. I saw about 10 GBps between the two ports. The second thing i found was these new MBP Retina's aren't really compatible with older Apple networking technology. I have a single band Airport Express and a single band Time Capsule. Using either router they only worked on the 2.4 5Ghz setting and even with that the speeds constantly fluxuated. Most times I got between 2 - 10 GBps. After hours of troubleshooting it was recommended to update either my Time Capsule or Airport Express to one of the newer dual bands, which I did. After purchasing and setting up a new dual band Airport Express and spliting the networks to have one band constantly on the 2.4 5Ghz setting and the other set to automatic both with differing network id's this solved my problem. I now consistently see download speeds of around 35GBps and upload around 6GBps. So connecting the dots and drawing logical conclusion, these new MBP Retinas are really only compatible with newer dual band Time Capsules or Airports. Even though my single band was also set to 2.4 5Ghz, the same as the dedicated network used now on my dual band Airport Express, this MBP Retina had issues maintaining WiFi speeds.

Intermittent issues with video output initialization

Hi Guys,
I have received a new (i5, 15') Mac-book Pro more than 9 months ago. About 6 months ago it started having some serious intermittent issues with video output. Those issues are numerous and different every time, but all seems to lead to GPU problem. In chronological order:
1)Started showing static colors as flickering and white color as blue.
2)Blue screens in bootcamp and hangs in mac os
3)Startup problems (fail to start)
4)Startup problems resolved with firmware patch, but video fails to initialize during startups:shows black on mac os, and distorted green during bootcamp.
So right now I am stuck with #4. The main issue is that it is intermittent - sometimes it starts to happen and sometimes it does not. Is there any way I can make apple replace the unit or the video-card? I did bring it to a apple certified service center, but they did not give any crap, even when I was able to demonstrate it to 2 people in there and gave me back the unit after failing to reproduce the problem on their own. I have all those problems in video and photos, but I don't see anywhere I could send them besides this forum.

No you cannot make Apple do anything. What you can do is call _Apple Customer Relations_ in your country. You can call AppleCare & ask politely & firmly to be transferred over to Customer Relations if there is no direct phone number like there is in the US. Relay to them what you stated in this post. See what they can do for you.

Complaint: Issue with the Network

Facing issue with the Network for most of the time and sometimes even Data for both 3G and 2G.

I've had similar issues when my sim card was bad. I had cut it down to micro sim size and it worked fine for a month. Then it stopped working in the Z10 but worked in my 9810. Try having your carrier replace your sim card.

Very poor connection with wifi network with mini iPad.

I recently bought à new mini iPad. The connection with wifi network is lost very often and therefor not Stable. I tried the tips such as forgetting the network and connecting again, but that doesn't help. What can I do?

Do #5.
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

I have installed the agent 10 or 15 times and one installation has failed, no error appeared during the installation but I am having inconsistent issues with my ethernet card not working here and there. We rebooted and can log into Novell client but the login prompt did not appear for ESM client or the icon was not in the systray. Everything seems to work, besides at times (a couple times today) it terminates his ethernet card/connection. I would re-image his computer but he has several applications and it would take several hours, so I am hoping someone has an idea to fix this issue. So I was trying to figure out why he did not get the prompt to login and why it's not in the systray and it appears to not have completed the install? I checked the add/remove programs, its not listed within their, I also checked the registry and found nothing for endpoint within their, but the files are within c:\program files\novell\zenworks endpoint security.
I have also tried uninstalling it but that fails due to it "not being installed", and it will not reinstall over itself either.
I did notice that stuninstdrv.exe is running in task manager. Any help would be great...

If you are searching the registry, check for the "Senforce" string. It should be at HKLM\Software\Senforce
Try running the install program for the ZSC with the following command line:
setup.exe /V"STUNINSTALL=1"
If you've specified an uninstall password, try this one instead:
setup.exe /V"STUNINSTALL=1 STUIP=password"" (please note the double quote at the end)

I added an iTunes card to my account. THe balance shows on the account, but I can not download, because iTunes has an issue with the debit card linked to the account. Shouldn't it default to the balance from the card I added?

iTunes keeps telling me my debit card is declined, when I am trying to use an iTunes card that I added today. The amount from the iTunes card shows on the account.

You need to fix the issue with the credit card on the iTunes account or you can remove the credit card.

Facing intermittent issue with findByAltKey api

We are facing an intermittent issue with findByAltKey while invoking from service in out code and so we want to understand the expected behavior of this api
the issue is we have an unposted row in the cache which we need to retrieve.So we are doing a findByAltKey and based on the alternate keys it should return the row,but it fails sometimes.
We noticed while debugging that one of the alternate key attributes that we have defined on our EO is "Name" and the value of name in the EntityCache is sometimes becoming null.As a result of this the alternatekey attributes we pass doesnt match the EO.getAltKey(index) and it in turn doesnt fetch the row.
This attribute "Name" is present both in the base table and the translation table and there is a view link from parent VO to the TL(translation) VO.
What we want to understand here is when we do a findByAltKey based on name ,from where does it gets the name from the base vo or translation vo? And is it because of this sometimes this value in the cache is null?
Can anyone please explain the above issue.
