Intermittent issues with Login using OAM-OIF

We are using OIF (11.1.1.3), OAM (10.1.4.3) for authentication mechanism, it's observed that the login functionality fails intermittently when authnoam request redirects to the login form ( we are using form based authentication in OAM), the request /fed/usr/authnoam is being protected by the OAM in the policy configurations.
Is there any pointer you can provide to pin point where the issue is occurring and why the authnoam request is resulting in the login form page.
We do following
1. The /fed/idp/initiatesso request is fired from webcenter along with returnurl and the providerid parameter are passed in the query string parameter
2. OIF then redirects the request to the authnaom request
3. the credentials are post for the authnoam request.

Hello,
BY enabling the trace logging on Webgate and AccessServer we found that the /fed/usr/authnoam request is getting malformed with credential information. Now we are looking as to why this malformed URL is getting generated and there by causing the authentication failure.

  • Facing intermittent issue with findByAltKey api

    We are facing an intermittent issue with findByAltKey while invoking from service in out code and so we want to understand the expected behavior of this api
    the issue is we have an unposted row in the cache which we need to retrieve.So we are doing a findByAltKey and based on the alternate keys it should return the row,but it fails sometimes.
    We noticed while debugging that one of the alternate key attributes that we have defined on our EO is "Name" and the value of name in the EntityCache is sometimes becoming null.As a result of this the alternatekey attributes we pass doesnt match the EO.getAltKey(index) and it in turn doesnt fetch the row.
    This attribute "Name" is present both in the base table and the translation table and there is a view link from parent VO to the TL(translation) VO.
    What we want to understand here is when we do a findByAltKey based on name ,from where does it gets the name from the base vo or translation vo? And is it because of this sometimes this value in the cache is null?
    Can anyone please explain the above issue.

  • Intermittent issues with SAP printing

    Hi ALl, We have been having intermittent issues with printing (more specifically BOL printing) on both ECC production  & Watre house production server recently. These issues occur at random hours and resolve themselves before the teams have had an opportunity to troubleshoot in detail. Also, both the Basis and hosting teams have analyzed the logs but haven’t reached a definite conclusion. Procedure used in printing: An outbound queue is created and processed in Warehouse Production and passed to ECC PRoduction. In ECC PRod an inbound queue is processed to update and trigger the shipment document. When the shipment document is completed it then triggers the print of the BOL output from the shipment. Then and only then is anything sent to the print queue.  AND it will be with user id = ALEREMOTE. The other printing works fine. Any thought..will be highly obliged.. Regards, VIcky

  • Intermittent issues with Matlab Script in LV2012

    I'm having some intermittent issues with the Matlab Script in LV2012.  I'm running Windows 7 64 bit, and my Matlab is 2013 64-bit.  I've tried the suggestion here:

    I tried this but it didn't work for me. 
    I've also looked at this:

    In one of my .vi's if I change 2 of the 3 input variables to the complex type, it works.  It seems to be insensitive to the data type of the first input variable.  In another .vi this trick doesn't work at all.  The fix given in the link is to update the .dll, but this seems to be old news as the .dll in my directory is newer than the one referenced in this link.
    The other funny thing is these scripts worked fine on Friday afternoon, but were throwing this error this morning.  I've closed and reloaded both Labview and Matlab, but that didn't fix the issue.
    Are there any new fixes for this issue that I haven't been able to find?

  • Hi. New iPad Air for Xmas. Intermittent issues with Safari closing suddenly or just suddenly opening App Store on a second tab. HELP!

    There is an intermittent issue with either Safari just closing suddenly (looking at other discussions, believe this is to do with the RAM - wish this had been mentioned in at least one review of iPad Air I investigated before purchasing) however the most irritating issue is this constant 'jumping' from whatever I'm reading to the App Store which has been just automatically opened on another tab.. App Store is either showing William Hill app (never looked at or downloaded this) or on some occasions, some random game app which again, I've never looked at or downloaded... (I've checked the pages I've been reading & none of these are pop-ups or ads on these pages either...)
    Any ideas?

    I have this issue too. I don't think it's a problem with anyone's iPad or iPhone, it's internet advertisers who have worked out how to automatically trigger sending a person to the App Store just by loading a web page. I've seen William Hill and various games come through on the App Store with this technique.
    This could mean Apple have no protection in Safari for preventing redirects to the App Store without a user specifically triggering it (like the way pop-ups used to happen before pop-up blockers were invented). Although I suspect that Apple wouldn't be that blasé about that sort of thing. More likely I think is the advertisers are binding a page event like onscroll which shouldn't allow this but was perhaps overlooked by Safari's developers. Apple need to make an update to Safari to prevent anything but ontap/onclick events from opening the App Store.
    You should perhaps consider banning apps on the App Store using this advertising technique. They'd soon start behaving if they thought their app could be de-listed!!!

  • Intermittent issues with video output initialization

    Hi Guys,
    I have received a new (i5, 15') Mac-book Pro more than 9 months ago. About 6 months ago it started having some serious intermittent issues with video output. Those issues are numerous and different every time, but all seems to lead to GPU problem. In chronological order:
    1)Started showing static colors as flickering and white color as blue.
    2)Blue screens in bootcamp and hangs in mac os
    3)Startup problems (fail to start)
    4)Startup problems resolved with firmware patch, but video fails to initialize during startups:shows black on mac os, and distorted green during bootcamp.
    So right now I am stuck with #4. The main issue is that it is intermittent - sometimes it starts to happen and sometimes it does not. Is there any way I can make apple replace the unit or the video-card? I did bring it to a apple certified service center, but they did not give any crap, even when I was able to demonstrate it to 2 people in there and gave me back the unit after failing to reproduce the problem on their own. I have all those problems in video and photos, but I don't see anywhere I could send them besides this forum.

    You are still under warranty. *Call AppleCare*

    No you cannot make Apple do anything. What you can do is call _Apple Customer Relations_ in your country. You can call AppleCare & ask politely & firmly to be transferred over to Customer Relations if there is no direct phone number like there is in the US. Relay to them what you stated in this post. See what they can do for you.

  • Unable to log into iMessage and intermittent issues with FaceTime

    Late 2011 MacBook Pro, OS X 10.8.4.  I'm an admin level Windows guy but a relatively new (and otherwise very pleased) convert to Mac OS.
    This morning Messages started repeatedly prompting me for my iMessage password and FaceTime has starting working only intermittently.  Both work fine from my iPad and iPhone 5.  Both have been working from my MacBook Pro for months.
    This morning when I tried to fire up Messages on the MacBook I got an error saying "The server encountered an error processing registration".  After doing some Googling, I noticed that many folks said that when they had this problem they also had an issue with FaceTime.  I confirmed that FaceTime was indeed giving me the same error as iMessage. After trying some solutions from past threads that didn't work, I rebooted.  Now instead of throwing an error, Messages just keeps asking me for my iMessage password again and again.  FaceTime works occasionally but sometimes when I get a call and click answer, I get "call failed" as my iPhone and iPad continue to ring and then I'm asked to re-enter my password on the MacBook.  If I enter my password it just sits and spins.  If i quit FaceTime and start it again, it'll usually log in successfully but calls may or may not work (following the same pattern I just mentioned).
    The odd thing to me is that when I tested FaceTime on my iPad, I got notifications on my iPad and iPhone and my primary and alternate email address were now registered with FaceTime.  They have been for over a year so I'm not sure why I'm getting those notifications again.
    I'm able to log into the Mac App store without a problem using the same AppleID
    What I've tried so far based on Google results:
    1. In Keychain Access, reset my default keychain - No improvement
    2. In Keychain Access, selected Keychain First Aid, repaired and verified - No improvement
    3. On my iPad, turned iMessage off and back on - No improvement, though iMessage on the iPad still works fine
    4. Confirmed that my primary and secondary AppleID email addresses and password are correct.  The email address associated with my AppleID is not associated with any other AppleIDs.

    This could be a complicated problem to solve, as there are many possible causes for it. Test after taking each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Back up all data before making any changes.
    Before proceeding, test on another network, if possible. That could be a public Wi-Fi hotspot, if your computer is portable, or a cellular network if you have a mobile device that can share its Internet connection. If you find that iMessage works on the other network, the problem is in your network or at your ISP, not in your computer.
    Step 1
    Check the status of the service. If the service is down, wait tor it to come back up. There may be a localized outage, even if the status indicator is green.
    Step 2
    Restart your broadband device and your router, if different. You may have to skip this step if you don't control those devices.
    Step 3
    From the menu bar, select
     ▹ About This Mac
    Below the "OS X" legend in the window that opens, the OS version appears. Click the version line twice to display the serial number. If the number is missing or obviously invalid, take the machine to an Apple Store or other authorized service center to have the problem corrected.
    Step 4
    Take the steps suggested in this support article. If you don't understand some of the steps or can't carry them out, ask for guidance.
    Step 5
    From the menu bar, select
     ▹ System Preferences ▹ Network
    If the preference pane is locked, click the lock icon in the lower left corner and enter your password to unlock it. Then click the Advanced button and select the Proxies tab. If the box marked SOCKS Proxy is checked, uncheck it. You don’t need to change any other settings in the window. Click OK and then Apply. Test.
    The result may be that you can't connect to the Internet at all. Revert the change if that happens, or if iMessage still doesn't work. Remember that you must Apply any changes you make in the preference pane before they take effect.
    Step 6
    Select from the menu bar
     ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Storage
    and click
    Block all sites from storing information on this computer
    Close the preference pane.
    Step 7
    Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
    While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
    Test while logged in as Guest. After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
    *Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
    If iMessage worked in the guest account, stop here and post your results.
    Step 8
    Boot in safe mode and log in. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
    Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including Wi-Fi on certain iMacs.  The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
    The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
    Test while in safe mode. After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and test again.
    If iMessage worked in safe mode, but didn't work when you booted out of safe mode, stop here and post your results.
    Step 9
    Reset the NVRAM.
    Step 10
    Reinstall OS X.
    Step 11
    If none of the above steps resolves the issue, make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or contact Apple Support.

    question about the statement "it seems, that you import lot of users concurrently from the LDAP".  for us yes we are but the question is should that me problamatic?  We do see that it is causing issues for us  in CQ5.5 with CRX 2.3.15:
    com.day.crx.security.ldap.LDAPLoginModule commit: could not commit: javax.jcr.InvalidItemStateException: property /some/LDAP/group/rep:lastsynced: the property cannot be saved because it has been modified externally.
    However we had no such issue with CQ5.3 with CRX2.0

  • Intermittent issue with Wifi network card.

    Nothing can be more annoying than an intermittent issue. Unfortunately it does happen to my MBP. This is the new MBP purchase Jan. of this year. About 2 months ago, the MBP developes a problem. The sympotom is, after powering it on, the Wifi network card sometimes suddently stop working, even cannot be recognized by the system accidently. After the problem arise, I cannot turn on wifi again. The only way to get it back is to restart it. It used to work well with my home network and company network.
    I have tried every possible mean to figure out what's wrong with it. Tried SMC reset, PRAM rest. Reinstall a new OS on a new partition (per instruction from Apple support). I hate to say this is a HW issue but support people from Apple did suggest sending it to a service center for a check up.
    Before I actually dropping it at service center, I wanna know if someone has experienced that before?
    Repeat, it used work well with my router.

    How far away and what obstructions (walls - wood/concrete) is the wi-fi router?

  • Issue with Reports using costume measures - BPC 10.0 NW

    Hello BPC Colleagues,
    I’m having a problem with some BPC reports using costume measures and I would like to have your inputs about this issue.
    When all the reports are executed using a costume measures the report execution fails after a long time of execution (7min). The report has 1200 accounts and 57 company codes.
    In order to create trial balance we create these costume measure. Basically the measures are standars (with a few changes) and it works for limited reports (few account and companies) but we I try to executed for several accounts and companies I have the following error:
    “The execution of report Default Report failed. Please contact your administrator.”
    Error while communicating with the server
    Framework message:
    The underlying connection was close: An unexpected error occurred on a receive.
    Summary of the BPC LOG:
    |An error occurred while receiving the HTTP response to https://BPCENV.APPSET.MODEL. This could be due to the service endpoint binding not using the HTTP protocol. This could also be due to an HTTP request context being aborted by the server (possibly due to the service shutting down). See server logs for more details.#
    We already increased the PSAPTEMP table and this didn’t fix the issue. At the beginning we were sure that this was an issue with table space but the error persist.
    I don’t think (maybe I’m wrong) that this is not an issue related to the costume measure or to authorizations since I can retrieve data if I reduce the request to less accounts an company, so in my point of view this looks like a performance issue.

    In BPM after the receive step I have used container and control steps to capture the Idoc Number as mentioned in the blog.
    I am facing an issue with it now as an Alert message is send to my Inbox even when the message is succesfully processed by the adapter.
    This is a strange behaviour when we talk about Alerts.

    Hi Zabiulla,
    Michal explained just the basic, the logic of your process is to build by yourself. Usually an alert will be raised inside of an exception branch. You can define exceptions for critical operations, f.e. send steps or transformations, the exception will be catched by jumping to the exception branch, where you can store a suitable reaction - f.e. an alert.

    I just got the same message myself. Which I have only had 2 times in three years, so I checked here.

  • Popup Issue with Application using SSL

    I am having an issue with one of our apex applications using SSL.
    I have a few popups in my application and for that I am using the Popup2 function that is built into APEX.
    When I run the app without a secure layer (directly from the server) I am able to get the popups and everything works fine.
    but when I run the app using the regular url https: the popup(s) does not work. When I checked the source code on the web page the error I got is as shown below. I found that the following apex_legacy_4_0.js file was truncated in the source code. It was not retrieved fully.

    Can somebody please let me know how I can fix this issue.
    Please Note: This was an application that was working without any issues for more than 2years. All of a sudden (since last month) we are getting this error. According to Our Network and DBA's we have not made any changes/patches to our servers.

    Ok. I figured it out. The url rewrite was missing in the config. Put it there and its working now.

    Hi can anyone help?  My iphone 4 has recently developed an intermittent issue sending emails from my 'blueyonder.co.uk email account.  The emails get delivered to my outbox with a message 'cannot send mail, recipient was rejected by the server'  When the emails are in my outbox there is no means to delete them there the only way to remove them is to remove the full email account and reset it up again.
    I have tested the send functionality with my Gmail account and this seems to work ok!
    I have spoken to Virgin Media my email provider and they have walked me through removing the account and resetting it up again but to no avail.  They have suggested I contact Apple as there appears to be something wrong with the email application on my phone for this particular email account. 
    All incoming emails are being received as normal
