Intermittent 'no service' fault on iphone 5

My iphone 5 switches to 'No Service' doesn't matter if it is decent signal or not, just randomly drops for a period of time. I am with Business Orange and when I first reported the issue in November they swapped my phone next morning +++ that's customer service and support+++ I convinced myself the replacement was behaving and I honestly do think there was a slight improvement. I have put up with the poor speech quality, poor connectivity both wireless and GSM for over a month and during that time have been told I have missed a number of calls by people! Final straw was New Years eve and a friend complaining I didnt answer his call, later stood next to him as he was showing off - his Sony on 5 bars and my iphone5 on 'no service'! Called Orange reactivated my old iphone 4 and much happier, it connects to GSM and wireless networks much better, never drops GSM, call quality better.
Happy to put up with a smaller screen and slower unit for something that does what it should - WORK LIKE A PHONE. Apple please sort this issue out, Hardware or software too many people are experiencing this and I have possibly lost business and certainly time following the latest and the best release. I won't be an early adopter ever again!!!!!
If anyone has any suggestions or is experiencing the same....?

Seems that this might have been connected to the iShield protector I put on the iPhone which caused some water damage.  Either way, I spoke to a Genius who swapped it out for me.  Thankfully I was still full of warranty.

  • Intermittent "No Service" problem

Every now and again, my iPhone 3G says that it has "no service". It happens in areas that have plenty of service and where my friends' nokias all have service on the same network (optus). Is it possible that this is a problem with my iPhone? If so, how could I prove it to a mac genius? The problem is so intermittent that I couldn't count on it happening at the apple store!
Any other ideas as to what could be going on?
Thanks in advance for your help!

My best guess: this should be an iPhone software problem. Why? I am experiencing more or less the same problem... as a Belgian (European) iPhone owner, on the Belgian Proximus carrier network. All went fine from July 11th until today. Yesterday we made a trip to Paris. It took my iPhone quite a while to automatically connect to a French carrier, but it did! I made and received calls without any problems. Back in Belgium, it kept saying NO SERVICE. The iPhone does detect all carriers available in my area (Brussels) but cannot connect to "my" network/provider. Did a backup+restore and all. Nothing seems to work.

  • Intermittent NO SERVICE

I have been getting intermittent NO SERVICE and then full bars at the same spot in the Upper East Side of Manhattan several times a day for the last week. Putting the iPhone SIM in an unlocked Nokia 6682 shows full bars all day. A reboot of the phone usually helps in keeping the bars for a longer time. I am in an area where every cellphone provider has strong signals and not near any interference sources (wireless routers, speakers etc).
I think this is an iPhone problem. Any other users have the same problem?

  • Can i transfer service from one iphone to another

can i tranfer service from one iphone to another

Yes. Your carrier could care less what phone you use, only that you pay your bill on time. Call them & make sure they have the correct IMEI number on your account.

  • How to use an ABAP exception as a web service fault

    Hi experts,
I have created a web service out of an ABAP function module, using the SAP standard wizard for web services. The ABAP function has some exceptions defined. Now the question is: How can I "translate" these ABAP function exceptions to web service faults?
In the WSDL file I can see that the web service defines the faults, but they are not part of the web service operation (in the WSDL file). So when I load the definition into JDeveloper, the faults are not recognized.
Any ideas what I am missing here?
    Thanks in advance!
    Kind regards, Matthias

Exceptions from SAP function module are not translated as web service fault message, this is a standard behaviour due among other to the fact that exceptions are not "in line" with the definition a web service fault message.
Usually when you want to use a standard SAP function module and expose it as web service, you need to "wrap-it" into a new Z function module.
In that new function module you must capture the exceptions and convert them into a web service fault message structure (usually containing error type, text and number)

  • I am getting No service issue in iphone since yesterday

I am using Iphone 3GS phone. I just came to business trip to south africa and I bought one new local SIM. When I am trying to put my SIM in my Iphone I am getting an error of "No Service". Could you please help me as earliest possible as I am unable to make any calls.

    Hello AshokPandey,
I understand how important it is to have cellular service on your iPhone, especially on a business trip.  I found an article with steps to take if you are seeing "No Service" on your iPhone.  I recommend following the steps in this article to resolve that error message:

  • Replacement Service for an iphone which is purchased in another country

    Hi,
I have an iphone5 which its proximity sensor does not work. In Australia I went to Melbourne Apple Center and after inspection they want to replace it with a new one, but after seeing its part number (including LL/A), they refuse to replace it because it is not an Australian iphone. It should be noted that I also have an applecare service for my iphone. Now I am really confused what I shall do for this case. I cannot go to USA at the moment and I need my iphone which now it's really useless for calling when I do not want to use handsfree. My current apple support case number is 426298085 and I have D87469214, 426306629 and D87468601 apple service request numbers which have been canceled due to the mentioned reason.
More easy and better customer services are really expected from apple. I am one of your loyal customer who is sad of your bad services in this case. Please guide me how could I replace my phone at the earliest possible time.
    Regards,
    Hamed

From applecare protection plan for iphone:
"6.2 Apple reserves the right to change the method by which Apple may provide repair or replacement service to you, and your Covered Equipment’s eligibility to receive a particular method of service. Service will be limited to the options available in the country where service is requested. Service options, parts availability and response times may vary according to country. You may be responsible for shipping and handling charges if the Covered Equipment cannot be serviced in the country it is in. If you seek service in a country that is not the country of purchase, you will comply with all applicable import and export laws and regulations and be responsible for all custom duties, V.A.T. and other associated taxes and charges. For international service, Apple may repair or exchange defective products and parts with comparable products and parts that comply with local standards."
Haha. Known issue maybe means there are several numbers of replacement for this reason. A quick internet search shows such a thing...

  • How do I turn off location services on the iPhone 6?

How do I turn off location services on the iPhone 6?
Yes I already went to Settings > Privacy > Location Services, is not allowing me to turn it off.
And yes I have disable the restrictions too.

When I tapped the screen, there was a symbol on the left that looked like arrows going in a circle and on the right were the arrows crossed. The crossed arrows were orange, when I tapped this orange symbol, it turned to white and the songs STOPPED shuffle.

  • HT204053 Can I set up icloud services on multiple iphones under a single account? More specifically, can I use- find my iphone services -under one account?

Can I use Find My iphone service with multiple iphones under one account? I have 4 iphones in my family and I want to monitor all phones by logging into one account!

You can create and use different iCloud accounts on the same computer, whether they are single or multiple user.
There is a limit of 3 accounts you can create from a device but I thought this was only iOS devices - maybe not.
iCloud accounts can only be created using a valid email address, so I guess I'd start there to retrace what accounts you have.

  • Fault Handling a netbeans generated web service fault

Hi, we have been unsuccessful in creating a simple example where a bpel process could handle an exception thrown be a web service deployed in a EJBModule created in netbeans 5.5.
The fault handling of fault thrown be other bpel process seems to work fine, but in the case of a web service fault the process dies.
We come to realise that the soap message of a fault is different for a bpel thrown fault and a web service one. Dont know if it has something to do with the problem...
Note that there is no example of fault handling of a netbeans created webservice in a bpel process (at least we didn't find one).
Has someone been able to do this kind of fault handling?
Maybe someone could post a link to an example?
    Any help is appreciated

What BPEL expects is a WS fault. The fault has to be defined on the WSDL operation that the BPEL invokes. If the EJB sent a soap fault, and that is the contract between the EJB and the BC, then i would say it is the resposibility of the SOAP BC to translate it into a WSDL operation defined fault and pass it on to the BPEL engine.
If the BC just hints that a fault has happened but doesn't give enough information that is necessary for the fault handling, the process will surely terminate.
If in the process you define a catchAll around the EJB invoke, you would be able to handle the fault from the BC.
I know of this one example, but not sure if they handle faults

  • Where is the Web Service fault in the WSDL definition?

    Hi all,
I have created a Web Service out of function module, using the SAP standard wizard. The creation went fine, I can receive the WSDL file via the SOAMANAGER application. But: In this WSDL file it seems that the Web Service faults (i.e. the exceptions of the underlying function module) are not part of the "wsdl:operation" definition (even if they and their format are defined in that file).
Is that a bug or do I miss something here?
How are the faults integrated in the response definition of the service?
Thanks in advance for your help!
    Kind regards, Matthias
