Intermittent status_code_error service unavailable messages

Hi everyone,
I just got a new mac mini (2014) and overtime I go to download an app from the App Store or update an app that's already installed, or even in iBooks. When I navigate or download I'll get a "Status_Code_Error Service Unavailable" notification. I can press "Retry" and after a few times, it works. It has now happened for the last 2 days straight. It'll eventually work after I press Retry 2 or 3 times, so it's more of a nuisance than anything. But my internet connection works just fine (getting 50mbps up/5mbps down, and large downloads aren't hiccuping). I have good signal. All websites are working...
Is this a glitch? I tried restarting and logging in and out of iCloud with no benefit. Anyone else with this issue or any solution?
Thanks!

I'm having the same problem. I believe it's an outage of some sort. The same problem (can't download/update software apps from iTunes or the App Store) is affecting the iTunes store. I kept trying, and was eventually able to download some of the apps. Perhaps the updates for the new iWork apps (Pages, Keynote and Numbers were all updated just recently) is causing bandwidth issues?  Just keep trying, or come back later and try again.

  • Server-Error-service-unavailable message

I get the message "server-error-service-unavailable" when I try to add my HP Color inkjet CP1700 to the printers server (Aplications>Utilities) of the MacOS X Tiger. When I order a test from the HP Aplication is runnig well, but I can't print from any other aplication. The printer is connected directly to the G4 by a USB cable. I install a new router last saturday (via LAN for the G4 and wireless for the iBook) but I didn't use the printer since that day; can this create some kind of problem?. Can anybody help me?
    Sorry for my english...
    Muchas gracias

  • 503 Service Unavailable when accessing port 80

No matter what I try to connect to using port 80, the only response I get is a 503 error. I can connect to port 9090 without problems.
I am running ifs v108 on Solaris, connecting using IE401 sp1a.
My startup sequence on a newly booted server is:
    login as unix account oracle.
    cd /u01/app/oracle/product/816/ifs/bin
    su
    ./ifsstart
input system/manager/ServerManager/ifssys in the appropriate fields.
No error messages thrown at all.
Open browser window on my client pc, type in http://delfi or http://delfi:80 or http://delfi/webui/jsps and I get the "503 Service Unavailable" message returned after a while.
Connecting using http://delfi:9090 works fine, giving me the java applet for admin signon.
The $ORACLE_HOME/ifs/log/JWS.log file, with timestamp at the time of startup, contains the following line, and nothing else:
javawebserver: Warning: could not perform IFS server warmup.
Can anyone assist me in getting the show on the road? At this stage I just want it installed/running, to evaluate future production....

I seem to run into to the same problem and I had to re-install the product and re-create the repository to make it work. Any answers ? I too can get to port 9090 and it says that port 80 is alive. We have Solaris 8/8.1.6/1.0.8.3

  • 3x Crash Service unavailable Error

I'm experiencing an Error that seems to concern quite a lot of user, but no real fix seems to appear. Compressor used to work fine once, but now every encode fails (tried a variety of different settings) and gives the ominous 3x Crash Service unavailable Error. The Batch Log displays 'service-unavailable' messages. It may be due to a Leopard Update, due to HP Printer software or even Flip4Mac, i couldnt say which. All safe mode/ permission reset, Compressor and Qmaster Reinstalls failed me up to now, so maybe anyone has some pointer as to what I'm missing...
    Thanks!

Not sure if this will help, but I had this problem, I solved it by removing Perian (the lovely app that allows Quicktime to play almost any file).
Once working I've reinstalled Perian and everything is fine.

  • Streaming video error 503 service unavailable

Strange problem — my Logitech webcam works with some websites on my Mac Pro, not on others; yet those same websites work on my old G3.
I get an Error Code 503 service unavailable message.
    Any ideas? Thanks.

I should add that this is a fairly recent problem as it worked when I first got the Mac Pro. But I can't figure out if the problem a particular download.

  • Log-in message - Network Services Unavailable

I have been getting the following message upon both my G5 - 10.5.8 and my iMac - 10.6.1 prior to logging in after booting up both machines , both of which are the only two machines upon the same Airport Extreme network.
    *Network Services Unavailable*
This , for all I know, may well be a perfectly normal message.
Perhaps it is an indication that I am not running an OS X Server ?
Whatever, perhaps the problem, as such, could be cosmetically obscured by means of turning on Automatic login.
Of course, this then leaves the machines open to use by anyone within their vicinity, not my preferred option.

    PART 2:
Did a complete reinstall and now I'm not even getting an error--login window simply shakes.
-Running AFP (for user home folders), DHCP, DNS, OD, and Software Update.
-DNS appears functioning (host, dig, etc all work from my client machine). It is set in the Network Sys prefs.
-OD lists LDAP server, PW server, and Kerberos are all running, LDAP search base and Kerberos realm are correct. The Kerberize... button does appear in the settings tab (not sure if it should on 10.6...it wasn't there once I Kerberized in 10.5). If I click it and enter the credentials, it doesn't give any confirmation and just comes back up with the credentials box until I hit cancel.
I have one user in my WGM, besides the admin called "TestStudent". On my client machine, I go to the Login options and just allow specific network users and TestStudent appears in the list, so I'm able to see the directory in some way. It just isn't accepting it as a valid login.
What other things do I need to check, since it appears to me that everything essential is running properly... I can provide logs if needed.

I would check to see how many sessions you have running and what your session limit is. If the open sessions is near your session limit it maybe shutting portal down. Does this happen all the time or just randomly? If it's randomly, this may be your problem.

    Hi aychekay
    Try following:
    - Add a TimeStamp Datatype Column to the table on the SQL Server
    - Rebind the tables into your database
    - Try your code again
You never should run an Access Application against an SQL Server in readwrite mode without having TimeStamp datatype columns in your tables. Already for performance reasons this is a must and also, if you have datetime datatype fields on
the SQL Server that are not exclusively maintained by Access, as the SQL Server may add miliseconds when writing the data. Same for Single precision datatypes, that may be rounded until you get the result back from the server. If you have a Timestamp datatype
column in your table then Access is sure the record wasn't changed in the meantime and will not recheck the received record again against the database for changes in one of it's fields.

This problem didn't go away yet. I'm having it too in Access 2007 (SP2 not installed yet) with a SQL Server 2008 Express backend. I'm sure my code is not reference any form controls or other object references. Access just complains if you try to run an Execute
with "DELETE" on a table that has an identity column. I've resorted to deleting using a DAO recordset and loop instead for now.
I actually started out using MySQL with MySQL's ODBC drivers and my statement worked fine. Only when I migrated to SQL Server did I start to have this problem.
    Just sayin...

  • Team Foundation Server 2013 update 4 New Install - Error 503 Service Unavailable for Sharepoint Central Admin

    Hello,
I ran a new install of Team Foundation Server and let it install the built in SharePoint pieces on a single server setup. After the install i'm able to access the
http://teamfoundation:8080/tfs/ address without issue but am unable to create a project. When I attempt to create a project I get the following error:
TF30172: You do not have permission to create a new team project (when checking security i'm a member of the project collection administrators and Team Foundation Administrators)
This led me to look at the sharepoint central administration site where I receive the following error:
    Error 503 Service Unavailable
I've gone through and validated the identity is set correctly in IIS for the following services:
    SharePoint Central Admin v4
    SharePoint15AppPool
The SharePoint Web Services Root is set as LocalService instead of the domain user.
The identity domain user is setup as local administrator on the Team Foundation Server. They are all set to use .net v4.0.30319 with integrated Pipeline mode.
    Any help would be great!
    Thanks!

    Hi Eric,
    Thanks for your post.
Please share your detailed team project creation log here.
In your TFS Admin Console>>Extensions for SharePoint Products tab, ensure SharePoint Web Application shows correctly in the right panel. And go to TFS Admin Console>>Application Tier>>SharePoint Web Applications tab, ensure your SharePoint
web application displays in the right panel, then select your SharePoint web application and click Repair Connection, ensure can repair successfully.
In your IIS Manager, select your SharePoint Central Administration V4 site and click Browser:17012(http) in the right panel, check if your SharePoint Central site can be opened successfully or not. If your SharePoint Central site cannot be accessed, I think
this issue relate to your SharePoint site, you should contact SharePoint experts to resolve this issue first. After you resolved this issue and your SharePoint Central Admin site can be accessed correctly, then try to create your team project(within SharePoint
site) again, if there still has issue when creating team project, please share the detailed error message here, we will try to resolve it.

  • SMS_WSUS_CONFIGURATION_MANAGER - MessageID 6600 - The request failed with HTTP status 503: Service Unavailable

    Hi all,
knowning that there are already a lot of posts concerning above message, I have to write an additional one as I could not find a solution on the web yet.
    Situation:
Windows Server 2008 forest including empty root and two child domains, one child domain does have SCCM SP1 (central primary site WND) installed on W2k8 x64 machine including WSUS 3.0 SP1 => everything is working fine.
Second child domain also contains a SCCM SP1 server  (primary site HUN) running on W2k8 x64 and is defined as child site of central site WND => everything is working fine too - except Software Updates.
WSUS 3.0 SP1 installed on both SCCM servers by creating additional web site (not using "defautl web site") and configured ports 8530 and 8531 (SSL not used!). No proxy necessary/used. All WSUS 3.0 requirements for W2k8 are installed (IIS roles)
    Error:
    SMS_WSUS_CONFIGURATION_MANAGER - MessageID 6600:
SMS WSUS Configuration Manager failed to configure upstream server settings on WSUS Server "xxxx0003".
Possible cause: WSUS Server version 3.0 SP1 and above is not installed or cannot be contacted.
Solution: Verify that the WSUS Server version 3.0 SP1 or greater is installed. Verify that the IIS ports configured in SMS are same as those configured on the WSUS IIS website.
    wsusutil checkhealth =>OK
downloading updates from WSUS at central site (SUSDB and WSUS folder equal in size) =>OK
wsus admin console able to connect and configuration possible => OK
IIS ports configured within SMS are equal to those configured for WSUS website
SCCM config (using Configuration Manager Console) does look correct - ConfigMgr Software Update Point role properties and Software Update Point Component properties
wcm.log does report an error: (SCCM Log files at the end.)
"The request failed with HTTP status 503: Service Unavailable"
IIS log files of both websites (default web site and WSUS Administration website) do not show any errors.
    Questions:
What else should I look at? (registyr, SUSDB content,..)
What exactly does happen during the attempt to configure the upstream server by the SMS_WSUS_Configuration_Manager component? I guess a SMS process tries to contact a webservice - would it be possible to debug in more detail ?
And finally - Who does know the solution ?

I just experienced the exact same scenario.  After much digging I found that csakg6so posted a fix at
    Windoows-Noob
    Run Internet Explorer as the SYSTEM account (psexec -s -d -i cmd.exe & C:\Program Files\Internet Explorrer\iexplore.exe)
    Go to internet options
    Go to conections
    Go to LAN settings
    Uncheck all boxes
The original post said to reboot, but that wasn't necessary for me.
After initiating a manual Software Update sync the WCM.log and WSyncMgr.log errors do not return and new updates are synchronized.

  • Apex_util.get_print_document results in "503-service unavailable"

I'm using APEX 4.2.0.3.00.08 with GlassFish 3.1.2.2 on an Oracle 10.2.0.5 database.
Recently I created a report-query together with a xsl-fo report-layout created in Altova Stylevision. I've enabled and configured print-options and when I press my application button, I'm perfectly capable of viewing and/or saving the pdf-version of my report.
Additionally I want to save my report as BLOB in the database, but when I try this using apex_util.get_print_document, all I get in my table is a html-page containing the message "503-service unavailable".
I used the following page as reference:
Creating High Fidelity PDF Reports with Oracle Application Express but apparently I'm missing something or doing something wrong......I truly hope there's someone out here to help me!!
    Thanks in advance!

    Hello Mike,
I've been trying to create an application on apex.oracle.com to reproduce the problem, but I can't seem to get it to work.
I've uploaded a very simple layout created in StylusStudio, a simple query on the EMP-table only containgin FIRST_NAME, LAST_NAME and EMAIL and when I add the layout to the query and press "Test report", it works fine.
When I run the report from my application, it only shows a pdf with a thick, horizontal lines, like it's showing only empty cell borders.
Meanwhile I found out that the APEX-listener keeps reporting similair errors, even when I use that same simple stylesheet (created with StylusStudio) on the EMP-table, even when the stylesheet does not contain any special characters at all. In stead of the message starting with INFO: Character decoding failed. Parameter [#x200B;</xsl:text> , it then ignores the complete xslt-stylesheet (the complete contents of the stylesheet is between the brackets, in stead of just the string containg the special chars).
To be honest I'm a little lost now. First my focus was on how to get rid of the special characters, but now it looks like, even when I might succeed in that, it doesn't even solve my problem.
Any idea why my application doesn't show me the same report I see when testing the report-query?
The application can be found here:
    https://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/htmldb/f?p=29586
The bottom region is an attempt to show the pdf with the highest id, but I think it does not show the actual pdf (http-404)
The source for that PL/SQL region is:
    declare
      src_  varchar2(256);
      mime_ varchar(48);
      id_   number;
    begin
    select max(id)
    into id_

  • JWS error: 503 Service Unavailable

Ifs is running, i can map it in Windows Explorer or acces it via ftp.
But when trying to connect via WEB, i get the message: 503 Service Unavailable.
I checked The Java Web Server administration on port 1717 and it reports that JWS is running.
We have on the same machine Apache Web server which runs on port 80, so we use port 81 for JWS.
    Any idea?

    We've worked it out.
    Thanks to Oracle Metalink...
