Hi,on EHP4 Erecruiting - Internal candidates receive application acknowledgement email which was not in english . Upon checking IT0002 the language field was "ARABIC". After changing the language to ENGLISH the mail was in English. the question is, is it necessary to maintain the language as ENGLISH in IT0002 to get the correspondence in english. or is there any other setting which will affect the correspondence language.
Client wants the mail correspondence in english but at the sametime the language in IT0002 should not be changed to english.

Hi Yogaraj,
From where you are reading this language, if through workflow then you can able to make it default if it is a standard functionality then you need to follow the same by maintaining in it0002.
Check in debug mode from where the logic is built in then accordingly you can change the same.

There's no need to worry. When I ordered my iPhone 4 from apple last month I was worried just like u. Paid all that money and got no acknowledgement email from them. You should hopefully receive your acknowledgement within 24hrs, speaking from personal experience.

1) Creating Data in HRP5134 (Attachments) - Attach Internal Posting Application form in the candidate's (Object NA) attachment table.
2) Creating Data in HRP5135 (Manual Activities) - Activities 1015 (Acknowledge Internal Candidate) for Object ND.

can you tell us the technology which you are using?
If it is BSP the coding decides the channel used for the seach based on th is_employee information. Here a wrong system behaviour could be caused by missing authorization on the employee object (P). In this case the application might not be able to read the P object which would let the internal candidate appear as external one. The application would change to the external application coding and show the external publication.
If it is Web Dynpro it points to a wrong application linked. The web dynpro application calls a certain inbound plug in the web dynpro component. If the wrong application is used the wrong plug would be supplied and the application could switch to the external publication. Same would happen if you entered the wrong plug in the in the startpage configuration.
Another thing which comes to my mind rading that it only effects some employees. Have you checked field IS_INACTIVE in HRP5102 for these employees?

EREC: Candidate - Application Withdrawn Email

Currently when a candidate withdraws an application an email is sent to the recruiter to noitfy them. However the email simply says "Application was withdrawn by &CandidateName&. It doesn't include the requisition number. We are trying to add that but when we do, it isn't pulling it in.
Has anyone run across this and know of a solution?

Questionnaire in Application Form for Internal Candidates

We are running E-Recruiting 6.0. We are currently using an EEO questionnaire for external candidates. We would like to add a Questionnaire in Application Form for both internal and external candidates, however when we added questionnaires to the application wizard for internal candidates, they also get the EEO questionnaire.
Is it possible to suppress the EEO questionnaire for internal candidates, but allow the other questionnaire? Can this be done through configuration, or will it require a bsp modification and to what bsp?

E-Recruiting - Application Group for internal candidates

Hello,
has anybody an idea how to assign internal candidates to an application group within the SAP E-Recruiting 603? This application group should only exist in the background and should not been publicated. So I guess a requisition won´t be helpful in that case.
If you´ll setup a new application group and start a publication, this group is only available for external candidates for the Recruiter via "Reference Code Search". It seems that it´s not possible to assign internal candidates.

Application groups are only assigned to external candidates.
If you want to enable initial applications also for employees (internal candidates) this was designed as follows:
If an internal candidate releases his/her profile and maintains there data in the preferences tab he/she shows that they are interested in a new position and the direction this job should be like.

I keep receiving Skype emails in German

Hello there!
I've started using Skype years ago in either France or Canada, and made the mistake to live in Germany at some point. I've left now but Skype never really forgave me... and keeps sending me emails in German, typically about the update of the Terms of Use.
My German is unfortunately limited and I'd like to get them in Frenc or English instead. I've set up my profile a while ago with France as my Country/Region and French as my preferred language (though English is perfectly fine), but to no avail. What should I do?

Be aware of the possibility that the emails you are receiving are actually not from Skype at all. That being said, they may very well be phishing scams, so be careful and most importantly, do not provide any personal information.
Alternatively, it might just be a weird glitch.

E-Recruiting 6.0 - Internal Candidates

Hi Experts,
Can anyone tell me in the standard SAP system, when a 'Leaving Action' is being performed for an employee via PA40 (which means in E-Recruiting, HRP5102, the IS_INACTIVE field is 'x'), in E-Recruiting 'Candidate Overview' transaction screen, do I STILL see the 'Personnel Number' appearing at his candidate profile ?
Reason why I am asking this question is because currently I have 2 clients setup in my project environment. And each is giving me a different response. I am not sure which client is installed incorrectly which gives the wrong response.

unfortunately the information that an internal candidate has left (or will leave - in this case the is_inactive flag will be set at the leave date via a periodical service processing table t77rcf_p_stat) can be easily seen on the databese but not in the e-recruiter applications.
I am not really sure if the employee id should disappear in candidacy table or not (customers see this different according to their attitute to rehiring people) but in general sap did not implement alot of functionalities to differ between internal and external candidates. Ok there is something for correspondence but it is not even possible to have different questionaires in the application wizard for external iand internal applicants.
In my opinion I'd assume that an employee applying on an internal position and leaving in the process is a 1 of 1000 case, as long as the process does not take eternities so I personally would not invest much effort into it. You cannot handle every special case in a system (or at leat noone pays for it) and from my experience in companies up to perhaps 2k employees, everyone in HR knows who leaves.
If you really have a strong business need in this issue, e.g. positions are published internally and once someone leaves has imedeately taken of the position you could use the the e-recruiting BAdI which is available in the BAdI implementation delivered by SAP to handle the candidate creation and stuff. You could add functionality into it that it tracks if there is a leave and the candidate has open applications and send the recruiter of the requisition an email. Other solution might be a periodical service or any other background job which checks this and destributes the information so the recruiter can take the necessary actions.

It sounds like you have a a password-protected PDF. The password was set by the person who encoded it.

FTP adapter with application acknowledgment

Hello,
I like to send a file with an FTP adapter to an "in" folder and configure a sender FTP adapter to pick up files from an "out" folder. I'd like to us a BPM and have the BPM determine if the returning file is pointing to an error and send an alert. This is my manual way to create an application acknowledgment.
So my BPM needs a Receive, Send and then another Receive step. Has anyone done this before? Or is there some good documentation on this process?

I was explaining to use UDF to raise alert message, say for example using this
Triggering XI Alerts from a User Defined Function
Checking file for error should be based on the business logic used by the receiver system. XI won't understand in itself that the file has error. There must be some business requirement that should be checked.

BPM - Application Acknowledge.

Hi guys,
Im using a SOAP sync scenario to call a sync/async bridge. Under BPM the process asynchronous can waste much time until finish. So, the web service need to maintain the connection established to waiting a response that can have a big delay and generate slowness in the service.
To prevent this situation I would like to send a response back to webservice before the request entered in BPM. If it possible, it would not have to wait that the async process finished to send a response with ok or received.
Is it possible do this like an Application acknowledge?

To optimize in integration scenario it is not sufficient to know, what the interfaces request technically. You need to know, how the information is used in the application system. That is way I am asking for.

When you have a sync interface, the response is send back to the application automatically. You need not create an interface for the response.

How to send application acknowledgement from R/3 system. Ex. we have post one IDoc and check user validations. Suppose date is wrong that means indicate earlier or wrong date but date format is correct. In this situation we need send one acknowledment to sender.
How to find the solution? pls tell anyone.

1) In the Integration Server, call transaction SE38
2) Run program IDX_ALEREQUEST to process IDocs with message type ALEAUD as XI request
message.
3) Now Enter Sender Port, Sender Client,Partner Number, Partner Type, and Partner Rol
4) In Integration Directory, configure the routing of interface
5) Call transaction SXMB_MONI to display the XI message.

After you triggered the IDoc by e.g. tcode: WPMA and IDoc reached FILE system, FILE receiver CC actually is only able to send acknowledgment types SystemErrorAck and AckNotSupported.
This is because:
- IDoc sender adapter requests the following acknowledgments:
SystemAckRequested="false"
SystemErrorAckRequested="true"
ApplicationAckRequested="true"
ApplicationErrorAckRequested="true"
- File receiver adapter that run on the Adapter Engine support system acknowledgments and system error acknowledgments if they are requested by the sender. These acknowledgments are triggered when a message is successfully processed by the adapter or if an error occurs while it is being processed.
If you havent suppressed acknowledgments for IDocs WP_PLU in IDX_NOALE in XI then you will get:
SystemErrorAck when message has not reached the FILE system
AckNotSupported for all others acknowledgement types
QQ) Will this IDOC Ack applicable for this scenario???
Rather not, since FILE adapter does not support any other acknowledgements then system and IDoc adapter does not request other acknowledgements then application + SystemErrorAckRequested.
In sender system your IDoc will be always in status 39 (instead of 03), when acknowledgement is turned on.
This is because:
For SystemErrorAck the corresponding ALEAUD status is 56
For AckNotSupported the corresponding ALEAUD status is 50
Both inbound 56 and 50 statuses end up in 39 for your outbound IDoc in sender system.
Q1) Will this ALEAUD Idoc contains any Message from File System????
In both cases, it will result in status 39 - IDoc is in the target system. So it does not matter.
Q2) Basically what Information will contain this IDOC Ack.
Idoc number from sender system and status 56 or 50 depends on acknowledgement type.
Q3) Do we receive any Info from the Target File System , if we implement this Ack concept??
Nothing useful.
Remember that File Receiver has no way to determine if the written file has been correctly processed by the back-end application. However, if your FILE application can read your WP_PLU message and after successful processing is able to generate any kind of message then you can acknowledge the communications but you will not be able to link original message with the acknowledgement request message.
To do that you need to configure just normal scenario (that will be your new acknowledgement scenario) FILE -> XI -> R/3. Your FILE service will send ALEUAUD Idoc to R/3 system. Your FILE application must take care to generate proper ALEAUD XML message. In order to treat ALEAUD as a request message (not standard acknowledgement) you need to run IDX_ALEREQUEST in SE38 on XI.
Q1) It means if the Idoc not reached to Target File system means we can able to get the System Error Ack to Sender SAP R/3 System. Am i Right????
Supposed you have turned off acks on XI (tcode: se38, IDX_NOALE) for your sender port/client:
You have sent the IDoc and the last status is "03 - Data passed to port OK"
You don't know whether it was even delivered to XI ...

In XI you can see Ack Status: Error (Acknowledgement contains system errors). Category: transient.
XI will send ALEAUD IDoc to R/3 system: status "56 - IDoc with errors is added"
The IDoc status in sender will be "39 - IDoc is in receiving system (ALE service)".
So status 39 means only that IDoc reached XI, but you don't know whether it was delivered to FILE system or not.
Q2) And one more thing is Even though we are dealing with the IDOCFile OR FileIDOC we can able to get the ACk of Type System Error Ack only. Am I Right?????

Internal candidate - Unable to apply to Job Posting

Hi,
Im facing a very critical problem.
The system was all working fine, but suddenly, Internal candidate Job applciation has stopped working.
Im able create requisition and post it too, also Trex is able to read the data and show the posting to the candidates.
But once i click on apply, by choosing one of the posting from the Job Search" I get the following error.

I have checked the Badi HRRCF_CDCYLIST_LANG, its active in the system. Unable to understand which implementation is this looking for. As per the language selections in the SPRO setting, i have enabled "EN" everywhere.

RECFA CDCYL, Technical Settings, performance.
Reason and Prerequisites
Prerequisite: You have set T77S0 switch RECFA CDCYL = 'DB'.
Reason: The table T77RCF_CDCYLIST contains the candidacy lists in all
the available languages mentioned in configured in table
V_T77RCF_SELANGU. This is to allow recruiters with different logon
languages to be able to view the candidacy lists in their own languages.
Solution
This BADI can be used to maintain the languages which should be
available for the recruiter. This note contains the BADI definition.
Default implementation has not been provided. Implementation has to be
added by customers. Also do not implement the any corrections suggested
by this note if you do not intend to add your own implementation
immediately. The best option would be to import the relevant support
package. However for immediate corrections, follow the below steps.

PERNR of internal candidates in the e-Recruiting system

Hi Experts,
We are implementing e-Recruiting 6.0 and have e-Recruiting system integrated in a separate instance and we do data transfer from the HR system to the e-Recruiting system through ALE. Does anyone know where the personnel number of internal candidates get stored in the e-Recruiting system? I can see that the sytem brings up PERNR in the portal for all internal candidates, but unable to find out the table in which it is stored. I have checked in the infotype tables and business partner table (BUT000) with no luck. Can someone help?
