Internal error 2738 64 bit Vista

I can find how to correct this error on 32 bit Vista but not 64 bit Vista.
Thanks for any input.

Which computer? Which Windows?
What is the complete and precise message?
What are you doing when the message appears?

  • I got internal error 2738 after trying to install the marvell yucon ethernet adapter driver

I got the marvell yucon ethernet adapter driver on the acer support page. My laptop is an extensa 5420-5038 with vista sp2 32 bit. My wired lan is not working but the wireless is. The version of the acer driver is 10.12.8.3 if that would help. I think uninstalling the old software for the adapter must have failed during installation and I don't know what to do. I don't know how to find any old applications or machine language software for the adapter in the computer to uninstall before trying again if that is what I have to do. Do I have to go to the command prompt and do something?

  • Installing LabView 8.6, Getting "Internal error 2738"

    Vista Sp1 Home
    Dell Q6600
    VS2005/8 installed
    LabView 8.5, TestStand 4.6
I had some trouble getting the TPC-2106 to work becuase I realized I had failed to install the drivers for it to use it as a project target.  Vista installed the WMDC (windows mobile device center) program so I can browse the TPC as if it was a HD the second time I rebooted the device.  I know I had problems installing LabView the first time a few weeks back, some errors of this and that (I don't recall them exactly).
Now I have tried to re-install LabView 8.6 Pro Dev [NI Developer Suite 4Dvds 2008 3rd Qtr] and got a series of Internal Error 2738's, and the latest one is for the touch screen driver set (2rd item to puke, 3rd of 40 I picked to install all items, so I killed the install).  I will try to delete the old install of 8.6 and retry.  I saw some stuff about a MS error with vbscript.dll on some other website..?...?
Anyone seen this?  Why do I get this?

    Hi Abales,
The issue seems to be with Microsoft VB Script as you rightly guessed. This doesn’t seem to be an NI issue, so I am not sure if this will fully resolve this.
However when looking into this issue, I came across a Microsoft Forum based on this issue.
They suggest to go START --> All Programs --> Accessories --> Command Prompt. You need to run this as an Administrator. To do this you need to right click on the Command Prompt at select Run as administrator.
Once you have done this, type regsvr32 vbscript.dll This will re-register the specific dll that maybe causing the issue.
    I hope this helps.

  • Help! Internal Error #2738 when installing CD

So, I have a brand new computer and when I try to install the CD that came with my Centro I get error 2738. I did a search and found out that 2738 is for VBscript. So, I went to windows and downloaded latest windows script (which, btw latest is for XP and vista). After installing I still get same error. Has anyone encountered a similar situation or have any tips for me? I would appreciate any help regarding this matter.

  • Error 2738 on Window XP Home Edition when loading Blackberry User Tools

Uhg, I am so frustrated!  I received an internal error 2738, could not access VBscript when I tried to load the software with my new Blackberry Curve 8330 Smartphone.  I tried registering the vbscript.dll file and received an error DllregisterServer in vbscript.dll failed. Return code was: 0x80004005.  I have tried to register as the administrator by following these directions: click on the start button then click on run then type cmd and press enter. From the command prompt type cd\ , then type cd windows\system32, then type regsvr32 vbscript.dll and press enter.  It didn't work either.  Does anyone have any idea how I can get the darn software on my computer!

don' be frustrated anymore ! Just read :

  • Fatal Internal Error : "objheap.cpp", line 579 - Labview 7.1 running on vista

    Hello,
I was developing a project in Labview 7.1 and had saved it on vista when the vista OS decided to enter suspend, Labview 7.1 stopped responding as a result and I had to reboot. I will never trust vista again but when I try to open the VI I get the following error:
    Fatal Internal Error : “objheap.cpp”, line 579.
And the following text file report is created. What I am wondering is there any way to restoring or uncorrupting this VI which is attached. Sub VI’s are not included but if you can get the VI to open even without them then the problem is sorted.

    Hello Paul,
I have been looking into your error code as well as the attached files of your VI and LLB.  Pasting in your error code is proving very helpful in trying to help you.  I initially tried to open your files in my system, where I would possibly be able to resave them for you, however it looks like I will have to try a different approach.
As I understand it, you have been using LabVIEW 7.1 Full Development System with Windows Vista.  LabVIEW 7.1 was released during the years when only Windows 2000 and XP were available.  With the release of Windows Vista in later years, National Instruments produced LabVIEW 8.2.1 with support for Windows Vista Business or greater.
Please reply with the following information:
Are you using Vista 32-bit or 64-bit?
Are you still able to open the LabVIEW Development Environment to produce new VIs?
Have you tried to open other VIs (after backing them up) with LabVIEW 7.1?

  • 64 Bit Vista Error Message: Itunes has stopped Working

I installed Itunes on my 64 bit Vista OS and it was working fine for about 3 weeks. Now I get an error message when I try to start Itunes now: "Itunes has stopped working"
I searched for a solution on here but it looks like Itunes doesn't support the 64 bit OS I have installed on my computer. I really hope they fix this. I've had my Ipod and Itunes for 2 years now. It's been a pleasure to own and I've bought many Songs from Itunes store. But, if I can't get it to work on my computer I may have to try to sell it for something that will work.
    Thanks, Hairy

    Hello, Sofa_King_Gary.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I see that you are experiencing issues with iTunes closing unexpectedly and you have attempted some troubleshooting steps already.  There are just a couple more steps that I could recommend in the article below.

  • Vista Enterprise, Fireworks C3: Internal error

I have a consistent problem with Fireworks CS3 that I rarely
had in version 8.x and it seems to be related to memory management.
I've been using Adobe and Macromedia products for many years
(Photoshop, Illustrator, Freehand, Pagemaker, Dreamweaver, etc.
since version 1.x of each), so I think I have a pretty good sense
of how to work around problems when they occur, but there isn't
much work around for the problems I've been having. I'm having two
related problems with CS3: trying to have 2 files open at once
("Internal Error occured" when I try to open a second file -- what
ever happened to user friendly error messages?), and closing a file
after saving it (Fireworks just crashes).
I realize that my files are relatively large and push
Fireworks' DB to the max (59 frames, 25 layers is average), but I
do as much as I can, as I work, to minimize file size and DB size.
These files aren't much different than the ones I created in
version 8, but in version 8 crashes were rare -- when everything
slowed to a crawl (memory leak), you just closed everything, quit
FW and re-launched it so you could work another 6 or 8 hours before
having to do this again. It was frustrating, but nothing is more
frustrating than Internal Error messages and crashes.
I have to wonder if Adobe is not putting enough resources
into the FW dev team on purpose so it will die a slow death and
users will move to Photoshop. Both apps have their strengths and
weaknesses, but one does not replace the other, so I hope Adobe
will do something soon to fix these memory problems.

Reading around, it seems to be caused by setting -xcode=pic32 but I need to set that because I am building a static library that will be linked into a shared library and that requires relocation.
Changing the makefile so that the -xcode=pic32 flag is not passed when compiling .s files solves the problem but I am unsure if I will have an invalid build.
Previous OpenSSL versions have compiled cleanly with this flag set.
Does the message 'internal error' indicate that it is a bug in the compiler? If so is there a fix?
    Can anyone advise please?

Internal errors, such as the one you encountered, are generally considered compiler bugs. They indicate that the compiler reached an unexpected state and therefore bailed out. I opened bug 20703141: internal error: pic_relocs(): hh reltype? to investigate. I see the same error message emitted by the current Studio development release; I will update this thread if I find a work-around.
