Internal Error 2753 Updater.api  Adobe Acrobat Pro 9

I'm getting an error while trying to install Acrobat Pro 9 saying:
"Internal Error 2753 Updater.api"
I don't have any other version of Acrobat installed in XP Pro sp2.
I have seen suggestions on this for version 8 to use the installer instead.
I haven't found the download link to the msi file for Acrobat Pro 9.
It really would be nice if they fixed the problem since it was happening in 8 also.
Thank you,
Docfxit

This is for a different version of Acrobat, but it might help:

'Any ideas how I can get my Adobe Acrobat v10 back & updated?
    Many Thanks

    Good Morning again,
I am AMAZED – I thought I was the only one that get up real early - I came into the office around 06:00 EST  (Pennsylvania, USA).  When I wrote my last email to you, I assumed there is no way you will  get a chance to respond for quite a few hours – especially if you on the West Coast!
Since I use this wonderful program every day in my work, I had a brainstorm!  I retrieved the original disc:
    ·         I uninstalled Acrobat X Pro
    ·         I took the original disc and reinstalled the program.
o   The program installed fine and everything was going great until I searched for updates
    ·         I told the system to run the update and it came back with "Update failed An error occurred.  Please check updates again later Error: 1602”
I tried the update 2 times and then saw your reply telling me NOT to uninstall.   L  Honest, I'm very appreciative any guidance you might be able to give – I didn't mean it all to go against your guidance  as just I never dreamed you would be that quick to respond.
Now the program is re-installed (without updates) is you have any ideas what I might do to add the patches to my newly installed (old) program?
    ·         I tried to install the latest update as the program requested.
    ·         Should I start installing each of the sequential updates one at a time?
BTW – you are absolutely correct – I did try to include a screenshot (.jpg).  I sent my last request 2 ways:
    ·         #1 as a reply to the email you sent and
    ·         #2 I also went on to the website and replied from there with the same information.
I'm going to try to do JUST the reply via email this time.  Please let me know if you did receive this.
Thanks again for your help & guidance,
    Barry

  • How do I get rid of deactivation error 194:1 in Adobe Acrobat Pro ver 9

How do I get rid of deactivation error 194:1 in Adobe Acrobat Pro ver 9
    It happens on multiple PCs

All menu content, include motion, is limited to 1 Gig.  This is not easy to calculate.  This is not a common error unless you are over.
When projects are revised, particularly numerous times, Encore may not correctly remove old elements.
Easiest method here is probably to start the project over.  You can import the menus from the old project.
You can also close this project, and try clearing the media cache.

  • Errors Opening and Installing Adobe Acrobat Pro

Originally mine was a single problem with the following error after attempting to open Adobe Acrobat Pro 7.0, "An error has been detected with a required application library and the product cannot continue. Please reinstall the application."
Now after reading the Adobe Community Forum article which recommended a complete uninstall of my Adobe Acrobat Pro 7 using this tool 'acrobat_ittools_cleaner_p1_040612' I have an additional problem with the following error,
    "Error 1310.Error writing to file: C:\Program Files(x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 7.02\ActiveX\AcroPDF.dll
Verify that you have access to tha directory."
Whereas previously I was able to reinstall the program successfully after an 'uninstall', now I encounter this error and cannot remedy it.
Please note that I have performed all of the solutions offered in this url: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-1310-error-writing-file.html#main_Vista to no avail. The problem persists.
Therefore, my hope is that after having used the tool 'acrobat_ittools_cleaner_p1_040612' and then successfully reinstalling Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional, I will find that the original problem has also been fixed.
Again, the original problem was this error:
"An error has been detected with a required application library and the product cannot continue. Please reinstall the application."
And the additional problem which came about after having used the tool is this:
    "Error 1310.Error writing to file: C:\Program Files(x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 7.02\ActiveX\AcroPDF.dll
Verify that you have access to tha directory."
Has anyone ever encountered either or both of these issues? If so, please share your experience and what you did to fix the problem(s).
    Thank you,
    -Dan Sacapano

  • Receive continual error messages after downloading Adobe Acrobat Pro; cannot open

I had downloaded Adobe Acrobat XI Pro as a trial and it worked just fine. Just purchased it/upgraded as a subscription last week and I receive a "download completed successfully" message, but when trying to open, get an error message saying the program closed unexpectedly. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times to receive the same message. Here is the error message I receive. What is the best way to get actual help from Adobe Acrobat XI Pro staff? I received an email from Sara Forsberg at Acrobat.com telling me to wait until my order was complete, and after a week it should certainly be complete by now - still same error message. Very frustrating given the cost of the program and that it is 100% useless so far. Need actual customer service at this point please.

I suggest that you Contact Customer Care - click on the Still need help? button to chat with an agent.
If you need more help from the forums, please post in the Acrobat forum; this is the forum for the Acrobat.com online service.

  • Distiller 9 issue after a new update to Adobe Acrobat Pro (version 9.3)

After installing the update, I was asked to reboot my HP Pavilion dv9617nr Notebook Computer (Windows Vista Home Edition). After the reboot, I was given an error message which explained that the ICC Color profiles in Adobe Distiller 9 could not be found and that I should reinstall my Adobe Acrobat 9 software. My question is: Yes I probably should reinstall my software but this will only be a temporary solution that will become a redundant problem when I again attempt the same update that caused the probllem initially. How can I simply back out the update? What if anything has been done to replace the update that caused the problem. Has there been any posts to this or other forums about this update problem? Please help me resolve this issue.

Adobe Tech support was most helpful on this.  First download the updated
    Distiller ICC profile files at:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=4075&fileID= 3790
Unzip the file and copy only the *.icc files (without regard to the subfolders that they are in - in other words, take the files out of each of the subfolders) to the followng folder in Windows 7:
    c:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\color
These new files will probably overwrite some old ones.
This solved the problem for me.
This is actually the best solution though I found that instead of copying all the .icc files to the windows\sys...  folder, all you need to do is copy the 3 Video files from the RGB folder (VideoHD.icc, VideoNTSC.icc, and VideoPAL.icc).  Once you add these three files to  c:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\color  you will be good to go.
It seems that this was an error on the part of Adobe in that there is no reason to include Video files for printing.  Nevertheless, the distiller will look for these and return the ICC profile error message if those files are not present.

  • Update to Adobe Acrobat Pro 10.1.10 won't allow stamps to be published

Since updating to Acrobat Pro 10.1.10, the dynamic stamps for approval and review during a review are no longer retained after publishing comments. The comments are retained but the stamps are not. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? It just started with the update yesterday. If I uninstall the update and return to the Acrobat Pro version 10.0.0, the stamps work. It has got to be an issue with this particular update.

We are also having this issue.  found another link describing the problem here:  Dynamic Stamps won't publish after Acrobat ProX update to 10.1.10 (Review & approve)
supposedly (though not confirmed)  11.0.7 also has this issue.

  • How do i update my adobe acrobat pro?

I have a very old version from 2008 that I installed using the disks.  It doesn't work that well with windows 8.  Can someone help?

    Hi karimw65988367,
We would be happy to help you.
Could you please let me know what version of Acrobat are using on Windows 8.
As you specified that it is a very old version, so it might not be supported on Windows 8 platform thus leading to problems.
You can choose to use the latest Acrobat version (Acrobat DC) which is fully compatible with your OS and offers a completely reimagined solution with its remarkable features and functions.
You can download a 30-day trial version of Acrobat DC from the following link:
Download Adobe Acrobat free trial | Acrobat Pro DC
So, give it a try and let me know how it goes.
I hope you will like it.

Error 1321 when updating Adobe Acrobat Pro even if profile has admin rights and parent folder has full access privileges.
    Exact error below:
error 1321: the installer has insufficient privileges to modify the file C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\Acrobat\Xtras\AdobePDF\I386\[dll file]
    Thanks in advance!

My first thought is to not just apply permissions to the folder but be sure to apply them to all objects inside them. It would be interesting to see if you can rename this file, then rename it back to its original name; this would test permissions nondestructively.

  • Adobe Acrobat XI Pro causes an error when starting it - Adobe Acrobat has stopped working. How do I resolve this?

I've had Adobe Acrobat XI Pro for some time, but yesterday it stopped working and I started having an 'Adobe Acrobat has stopped working' error. It then tells me to Close the Program.
    How do I resolve this?
    Thanks and regards
    Roxanne

Thanks Pat. I was able to resolve the problem.
OS is Windows 7 Pro, Adobe Acrobat Pro 11.0.07.
I went into the Properties file where I identified that Users only had Read & Execute and Read properties, I changed properties for Everyone to Full Control. That fixed the problem.
I don't know how the properties got changed to just Read & Execute, but there had been an automatic update the night before.

Trying to update Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, but it's been stuck at 35% for a little over a day?

    Hi mattwillball,
Could you please let me know what version of OS are you using.
You might need to refer the following KB doc link for issue where Acrobat download and install process is stuck at 35% on MAC:
    Installation Prompt to Close SafariNotificati
If this does not help, then please let me know if you get any other error message when installation is stuck.
    Hope to hear from you.

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.1.0 distiller ICC profile error asks for reinstall

I have Windows XP professional, SP3.
My Systems Administrator recently upgraded my Adobe Acrobat Pro 8 to 9.1.0 and since then I keep getting an error that says: Distiller cannot find its standard ICC profiles. Please reinstall Adobe Acrobat to correct this problem.
    This error happens when:
    1. I print to Adobe from a web page (IE 7.0.5730.11 or Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.20)
    2. I try to print to any printer from certain websites, such as the usps.com, where I print all our postage labels from.
    3. Occasionally when I start up the PC.
Sometimes I get the error but it still pdfs the page. Usually, though, it hangs and then Acrobat and the web browser close.
I seem to be able to pdf MS Office 2007 items (Word, Excel) and my Filemaker Pro Advanced 10 records. I guess it's when I'm "printing" to Adobe as opposed to "saving as pdf" that I have this problem.
Acrobat 8 worked fine. My Sys Admin has reinstalled the upgrade twice (after trying a repair which didn't work) to no avail. He can't find any documentation about this error at Adobe, so he's going to uninstall it and switch me back to Adobe 8.
I do all of the pdf'ing of our deliverable documents at my company and I would like to have the latest edition of Acrobat. If anyone knows of anything I can do, please let me know.
    Thanks!
    Stephie
