"internal error: assertion failed" when exporting via LR4

I've never had problems doing this with Lightroom 3, just upgraded to Lightroom 4 and I can't seem to export anything. I also can't publish either.

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried removing the com.adobe.Lightroom4.plist. This didn't help, still getting the error.
Then I removed these files as well:

Hello there!
After upgrading to 3.5 from 3.4.1 I received this error when attempting to publish new photos to my harddisk. First I thought the problem may be related to access rights. I am running Win7, 64 bit. So I reset the read/write rights in the export folder and the LR catalogue and AppData folders. No success.
Then I opened a new cataloge and imported the old one in order to start "from scratch" - no success, publishing collections were not importet. Finally I switched back to version 3.4.1, and ... it works again!
Possibly I am doing something wrong?? Possibly it is a bug? Any suggestions are welcome.

I'm running Windows 7, 64-bit and having the same trouble right now. The collection is an auto generated collection.

Internal error: assertion failed - still won't work in LR4

When I try to export an image from LR4 I get the "internal error: assertion failed" error. I'm running Lion 10.7.3 on a MacBook.
I started by reading the thread at:

tinaTS offered what she thought was the correct fix but her suggestion didn't apply to my situation. She suggested moving user presets but I don't have any to move.
I also tried the basic “repair permissions” and Lion restart with no luck.
Kirk Marcus suggested removing the com.adobe.Lightroom4.plist from my library. This didn't help, still getting the error.
Then I removed these files as well:

com.adobe.Lightroom2.plist
com.adobe.Lightroom3.LSSharedFileList.plist
com.adobe.Lightroom3.plist.lockfile
None of that helped.

Obviously, the program is worthless to me if I can't export images.

The error seems to be saying that a pointer is pointing to an invalid page.
Actually, the assertion message is suggesting that we were scanning for a row (record) on a particular page where we expected to find it, and didn't - the table page is likely corrupt.
Does a utility exist which would eliminate all pointers to invalid pages?
No. If the database is corrupted, it is best to move to your database recovery procedure from a valid backup. See KBA 1959391 - How can a SQL Anywhere (stand alone) database be restored from a full or incremental backup?
If you do not have a valid database backup but can still start and connect to the corrupted database (and it seems that you can), you can attempt to salvage the data out of the corrupted database tables manually to extract it to a new database (as Jinwoo suggested). See KBA 1959030 - How To Salvage Data When There are Corrupt Pages in the Database. Using -e to skip tables is appropriate and then trying to select the data that is not contained on invalid pages via the KBA instructions is your best option in this case.
Does sap/sybase offer a recovery service?
No, there is no such "recovery service" underneath SAP and any previous mentions of salvages were one-off contracts underneath Sybase Professional Services, and not a technical support service. These contracts are not available at SAP.

"Content generation error. Failed to Export the PDF file"

Building a multi-folio in InDesign 6 Folio Builder V30. Received "Content generation error. Failed to Export the PDF file" on several of the spreads. I have tried reducing the original pdf files sizes, but that did not help.
Any suggestions on other possible causes or way to fix.?

I'm very new to DPS so I hope the following description makes some kind of sense.
My magazine is in the process of doing trial runs for an iPad edition. I'm setting some templates up for us to work off so the process from magazine to iPad will run a lot smoother month to month.
So far I've set up some dummy stock pages in an InDesign CS6 document, currently 15 pages long.
All images are linked and all fonts have paragraph styles applied to them.
I'm at the stage I want to check the document on my iPad to test run font sizes and their legibility.
We have successfully been able to export the document as a jpg file but we really need the PDF format. When attempting this we get the above message.

I don't know what does internal error means, may be you could set the log level to fine to get more detail error messages.
I remember myself getting "connection refused" exception.I resolved it by referring the troubleshooting section in the docs shipped with sample on resolving this error.
Get back if still have any issues.

I have noticed that there are a number of these error messages and tried one solution of renaming a couple of files, I tried this and no joy.

I can no longer get Firework CS6 to run - The program loads but without any toolbars/properties etc. It just has an 'AN INTERNAL ERROR OCCURRED' message that cannot be dismissed. The only way to close the program is via Task Manager (this is on a Window 8 PC). I have uninstalled the program, rebooted the PC and re-installed (several times) but it has not resolved the problem.
Fireworks is part of my Creative Cloud subscription and when reporting this via the live chat I was given the telephone number for Seagate Drives ??
Anybody got a solution?
Or, does anybody know how to open native Fireworks CS6 png files in Photoshop *but* with all the Fireworks layers preserved.

I am absolutely pulling out my hair over this one!!
PC/Win 7 64bit/Adobe XI/Office 2010
I have tried Uninstalling and re-installing
I have tried using an adobe software removal tool
I have tried modifying the security settings in reader
I've tried running repair on MS Office
If you open the .pdf from an email directly, it opens Reader with the error "Internal Error Occurred"
If you drag and drop the .pdf onto the desktop, and then open it, it opens.
If you open Adobe Reader FIRST, then open the .pdf from the email, it opens fine.
ONLY when you open a .pdf from an email with Adobe Reader closed (so Outlook is asking AR to open first, and then present the .pdf) is it behaving this way.
Hypothesis: Outlook 2010 does not like to open Adobe Reader.
SO....tell me all of you brilliant geniuses? How do I solve this puzzle and become an end user's hero?
PS: WorkAround - the only work around I have found for this at present, is that the user first opens up Adobe Reader and lets it run in the background. I pinned the shortcut to his task bar to remind him.

I have uninstalled Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and installed Adobe Reader XI and everything works fine. This will be our current fix until a solution is found for the above error

Hi
While applying RUP3 , the patch failed for a customer for an rtf report.
with the error
Assertion failed: loc2mode(dst) == loc2mode(src), file
./srcjava/sys/alpha/compiler.c, line
5403
This error has been popping up for many customers till now but they were suggested
workarounds which states them to upload the patch without the rtf report and later upload the
rtf report manually.
The error seem to have occured for a specific platform HP TRU64 Unix platform, where the FAST VM of that platform doesnot support 'AutoShapes' of the templates.
So whichever template have autoshapes in them, will error out. Whenever we build any templates we do use tables to place the fields in proper places of the template. We cannot do away with tables.
Apart from tables we dont use any other features of autoshapes. Please suggest if you have come across this issue before or aware of any permanent solution, which we can make sure in building the rtf templates, so that such errors dont occur.

Please log an SR with support and have them log a bug. We'll need the templates that are failing and the patch you are trying to apply.

Error message when exporting in LR4

Hi there
When I export in LR4 I get the following message. However the export appears to have completed correctly. Any ideas?

At the bottom of the export dialog, there's a pop-up called After Export. Change it so it's not blank and the error will go away.

Internal error 500.0 when trying access my email via owa

i am get following error when try to access email through OWA
Http Error 500.0-internal error
module "Exppw" could not be found.
this mesaage appear after unistall IIS and reinstall becuse i have problem initialization failed after
fix initilization failed OWA not working.

“440 login timeout” was caused by some reasons, for example permission, authentication and so on.

Error "Deserialisation failed" when trying to use BAPI via a web service

I created a web service in BW with the help from the wizard WS_WZD_START. The web service contains
(among others) the RFC BAPI_ODSO_READ_DATA_UC.
The web service runs OK & can be used from the SAP Web Services Navigator.
Now when i try to use the web service from Delphi i get
an error: "Deserialisation failed" (SimpleTransformationFault) "ODSOBJECT erwartet".
The ODSOBJECT parameter is there to be sure.
I saw the same error before in this forum but found no real solution there. I am using BW 6.40 & SP 12.

The same error occurs when I take the exact XML that was sent from Web Services Navigator (the XML that worked) and send that from Delphi.
What could be wrong?

Hi Simon,
Other thing you can do is compare the HTTP requests (including header) from both Delphi and XMLSPY. I suspect if the SOAP message is same in both case the difference might be in the header. But one thing is certain, WAS can not respond differently for same request, don't you think so ?
