    Kind day, colleague.
It was required to organize a statement chain for TimeSheet of employees, as we realized. Everything is good, but at linear managers in PSW opportunity to execute Approve when viewing TimeSheet of the employee remained, and in attempt to approve TimeSheet there
    is a mistake.

"An error occurred when communicating with the server.  Check connectivity with your administrator to determine whether further action is necessary. "
Accept, is carried out as it is necessary.
It is a bug or we not correctly realized approval chain?

issue is  related to the user booking time against a task that was past the finish/end date listed in the Project Schedule.
To resolve the user needs to submit their time on a valid task that is still within the current reporting timeframe, or have the Project Manager
update the task in questions so that the finish/end dates are at or beyond the submission period and then republish the project. After that, the user should be able to go in and submit their timesheet with success.

  • "An error occurred in the communication with the BW server"

Hi, when I open BEx Analyzer and try to connect to my BW server to run a query, I get this message, "An error occurred in the communication with the BW server".
    Can someone help me.
    thanks
    Pat.

If it's happening consistently, it could be a problem with your local m/cs  MS office and/or SAP GUI.
    If it was working before:
    1) Uninstall  SAP GUI and  MS office.
    2) Install  MS Office and SAP GUI...then try to connect to BW.
    Good luck, BB

  • Error on timesheet submission "An error occurred while communicating with the server.

Hello, we have many users who are encountering errors submitting timesheets following our migration to Project Server 2013 (SP1 April 2014 CU). The error is:
An error occurred while communicating with the server. Check connectivity with your administrator to determine whether further action is necessary.
This follows the specific timesheet, if I open a delegate session on my machine, I can reproduce the error. However, simply deleting and recreating the timesheet has resolved it for many users, at least until the next timesheet submission.
Has anyone seen this sort of widespread behavior and have a solution beyond deleting and recreating the given timesheet?
    Thanks!

    Hello Joncantrell
I just ran into issue and found a way to resolve, though it may not be the best.  I think it is a bug, but here is how I fixed it.
    1) Delegating as the user
    2) Deleted the timesheet
    3)  Going line by line, I check each task that had a status of "Not Submitted" and "Send Progress for Select Task".
    4) The error came up only for one task.
    5) Open that schedule, remove resource from task, saved and published.
    6) Deleted and recreated timesheet
    7) Submitted timesheet and processed normally.
    I hope this helps

  • An error occured while communicating with the web server

    hi Experts
Im having a problem with bpc when i try to send data in an input schedule
    message error prompt
"an error occured while communicating with the webserver"
    Any body encounters this?
    Thanks

    Hi,
I am from support team, so this is the method how I troubleshoot this kind of issue.
First, I would like to say that this error message in BPC for Excel is a very common error, and it means nothing. Please move on the following steps:
    1. Reproduce the issue again.
    2. Logon to ABAP side, go to RSA1. Enter OBJECT=UJ* and SUBOBJECT=UJQ.
Note: UJQ means query related. The same, you can use UJD to filter all Data Manager's activity.
    3. Under UJQ, you will find the log, which you reproduced in step 1. It must be shown as Red. Double-click it. See what the error message is.
    4. Besides the error, right-side, you will see a Details button. Click on it, and another window with MDX Statement will show up.
    5. Copy the MDX statement out for next usage.
    6. Go to another T-code MDXTEST (this is a test tool for MDX statement).
    7. Copy the MDX statement into MDXTEST, and run it. (find the run button at above).
    What is the error message?
Based on my experience, if this is a Time out error, related to MDX Paser, you can try note:
1032461 MDX parser does not start
If not, it must be a specific error. Need to check further, accordingly.

  • An error occurred while communicating with the database lightswitch

    Hi
My Azure project was running just fine. I had made no changes but since yesterday when any user tries to login the get this error message:
"an error occurred while communicating with the database lightswitch"
I found a topic posted by "Mr Yossu" on this topic at
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/lightswitch/thread/655e4f03-d327-40fc-8d3b-8134e91ec2a4
but his situation seems slightly different.
In his case he says "I just updated (ie redeployed) it again, and when I try to log in, I get an error "An error occurred while communicating with the database."
In my case I haven't updated anything.
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated because my system is down until I find a resolution.
    Thanks in advance, Mark.
    Mark

In checking the helpful suggestion "I guess there is something wrong with the authentication database table", this is what I have done so far.
In the "Database Connections" step of the VS LS Azure publishing wizard, the "Specify the user conection:" is described as:
"This connection will be used by the application to read and write data from the database"
I click the "..." button and click to "Test" the connection and I get "Test connection succeeded".
Next I logged in to SQLAzure and see
    this screen.
At this point I'm unsure where to go with this.
If anyone has an idea please let me know.
    Thanks, Mark.

  • "Error occurred while communicating with the scanner"

Just bought this printer from a friend, and every time I try to scan I get the error message "Scanner reported an error: An error occurred while communicating with the scanner."
Anyone know how to fix this so I can use the scanner?

You @cleoambre  are a good friend, you bought the printer and are now trying to help troubleshoot the scanner issue! I would be happy to help you with this
Since this printer is a tad on the older side, there is no full feature software and driver for it to install on 10.6. Instead you can Install the printer using the Apple Software update.
    You can still complete scans from the Mac using Preview, Image Capture, or the System Preferences window to scan. I will post a few helpful videos below;
Method one: Scan from the Print & Scan window
Method two: Scan from Apple Preview
Method three: Scan from Apple Image Capture
Please let me know if this information helps to resolve the issue.

  • An error occurred while communicating with the scanner canon mp640

Since 3 weeks I have this error *An error occurred while communicating with the scanner" when I tried to scan some document.
The all in one CANON PIXMA MP640 is connected via WIFI to my network and the printer works without problems.
I have repaired the disk permission but I have the same problem.
I have also removed the Scanner only from the system preferences and re-installed the software CD from CANON, no changes.
Do you have any idea about this type of problem? and help me for a solution?
Thanks a lot for a reply
    Amedeo

First, delete the scanner again. Then I would suggest downloading the latest version from the Canon website.

    Select your OS and download/install.

    Hi Lhea
    Welcome to the Community
If you're using a Chrome or Firefox, I suggest you use Internet explorer for the meantime, once the plugin has been intalled on the browser, since Chrome and Internet explorer almost share the same settings, it should work well with Chrome after it.

  • Scanner reported an error An error occurred while communicating with the scanner.

I have deleted the printer and several printer files/libraries, restarted, and reinstalled the latest driver. No change in behavior.

Hi,Can you successfully copy by using the copy black / color button on the printer itself? Please let me know the results, if you are not able to copy there is no need ot follow any of the steps below. If you do able to copy, may  you use an iMac? if so  ensure the printer's USB directly connected to the back of your Mac and not through the keyboard ports As well ensure it is directly connected with no USB hubs, etc.. How long the cable is?Ensure it is not longer than 2 meters away, as well try plugging it to a different USB port on your Mac. If there is no change I suggest trying a different USB cable, may you see any difference then?
