Internal Error Occurred With Adobe Reader 9.3 (Vista)

I have Vista. I had Adobe installed on the computer and it had been working fine for 6 mths. Recently was prompted by the computer that Adobe needed an update. I ran the install for 9.3 and it appeared to work, but when launching program get an error: "An internal error occurred". I've uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Reader 9.3, but still can't get it to work. Please help! I need to use Adobe!

How do you install Adobe Reader 9.3.3? Please give details.

I was frustrated by this problem as well. I even uninstalled and then resinstalled a fresh download: SAME Problem.
Now the problem seems to have been RESOLVED on my Windows Vista Laptop.
Instead of trying to open by double-clicking on file icons, I opened the Adobe Reader from the Windows Explorer. On the first screen appeared the usual Adobe Licence & Terms that I had to ACCEPT. This screen NEVER showed up before after either upgrading to the Adobe Reader X or after reinstalling. After accepting the License and TERMS. this problem does NO longer reproduce.
I have successfully opened fewer than 10 PDF files without the annoying error so far. I hope others will reproduce this "FIX" before claiming this was the root cause of the problem.
Hopefully Adobe will display a more meaningfull error message for such a problem.

Trying to open a large PDF and receive "an internal error occurred" with Adobe Pro. X

We have one user, she has Adobe Pro. X installed, that is having an issue opening a particular PDF that is 37 MBs in size. When she tries to open it up, she receives the "an internal error occurred" message. If she opens up another PDF that is in the same folder (all the PDFs is on the network share) that is smaller in size (less than 100 KB) it opens just fine. I checked for any Adobe updates and downloaded and installed the update(s) that it found.
After it's been patched, I rebooted and still have the same issue. Surprisingly nothing was found in my searches to help this....
Thoughts?

Did you get any errors during Acrobat installation?
If Acrobat is crashing during first launch then it might be an issue with licensing as well.

Error occurs with Adobe Reader on romanian Systems

I have encountered an error in the Version 11.0.10 of "Adobe Reader XI - Romanian" running on a Windows 7, Service pack 1, 32-bit Operating System with a romanian language pack. In Detail the issue appears on opening a pdf-file, showing that there is a Problem with "Arial, Bold", but showing the exact pdf-file as it is supposed to be. The error-message occurs every time and get's pretty annoying. Even mutated vowels that aren't supposed to be in the romanian language are shown without further Problems.
I have tested the pdf-file on other operating Systems with different language packs and another known pdf-reader. In every case except the explained above there are no Errors at all.
How to fix that Problem?

Sorry for my delayed answer.
I tried several versions:
Adobe Reader XI - Romanian on Windows 7 - Romanian
Adobe Reader X - Romanian on Windows 7 - Romanian
Adobe Reader XI - Romanian on Windows 7 - German
Adobe Reader X - Romanian on Windows 7 - German
All resulting in the same Error mentioned above.
I also noticed, that Windows 7 with the Romanian Language Pack contains 5 different Arial-Font versions, while the German Language Pack contains 9. I expanded the Arial Fonts on the Romanian Windows 7 from five to nine and created a new pdf file (on the same way the Initial file was created) resulting in the same error.

Do you have a copy of the full error mesage that you could post? What operating system are you using? Are you using Acrobat or Reader (there is not program Adobe, it is the company name)? If you are using Reader, you might get better information in the Reader forum.

Internal Error Occured with time split...please help

During delta data load to the cube I am getting error 'Internal Error Occured with time split' in processing and data is coming till PSA and got error in PSA.There is no field found that is time dependent and I am unable to fix it in PSA by editing data too.
Please help me out.

May be the infoobject you used to derive the date/time field is not the correct one. I will double check that mapping. Also, it may be worth looking at the following thread.

Currently i am using 0PCA_C01 which consits of fiscal year and fiscal year/variant , i want the data based on the 0calmonth and 0calyear. So i added the 0cal month and 0calyear and i have assigned the 0calmonth to 0fisyear variant and 0cal year to fiscal year in the update rules using time distribution . but i am getting error Internal error occured with time split . we are using Bi. 7.0 . i tried to search the Fourm but nobody provided any informationn on this properly , So can any body shed some light on this . if any body can provide some information on for which char which char needs to be assigned . then this will be very usefull for all of us . look forward to your replies .

I have Created a Zcube Copy of 0figl_c10 adding 0calmonth to the Zcube..
In updaterule i have maintained Time Distribution for 0Calmonth to 0fiscper
and i have checked the oss note from previous posts , but i dont think its usefull for me , beacuse my bw system is 7.

actually i want Day wise report.. since there is no option of 0calday in 0figl_c10..
i went for 0cal month.. but still its giving the same error.. can any body tell me the procedure to include 0cal day for 0figl_c10 and in update rules hw to map 0cal day.
r any routine is there like converting fiscalyear/period to 0calday...

Internal error occured...Reader XI

I’ve been getting the message “an internal error occurred” the last few times I’ve tried using Reader XI on my Windows 8.1 laptop. I’ve even gone as far as using Revo Uninstaller AND the tool at http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html with no luck. It's obvious that the Acrobat cleaner doesn't work.
Even if I press okay to clear the message, the program closes down.
This is very frustrating as most State Employment Applications are in PDF format and I’ve used Adobe for years. What is the problem with Reader XI and Windows 8.1…and reformatting my machine is NOT a good answer since every other program works??

I went back and uninstalled Reader X as somethings were working for it and then ran Revo and the Adobe tool.
I downloaded XI, disabled AVG and let it install, rebooted and and ran the program, only to get the same error message "an internal error occured". The only thing I haven't done was uninstall the app "Reader" I downloaded from the Windows store that would also allow pdf viewing.
I've switched back to Adobe Reader X and allowed it to update to 10.1.10 but it seems to run sluggish on Win8.1 even with using the Win7 compatibility mode.

I have uninstalled and re-installed Adobe AcrobatPro 11
It will not open, neither with Safari opening a pdf nor a double click, instead giving me an message "an internal error occurred."
The Acrobat distiller also crashes when I try to open it.
Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

Error message with Adobe Reader

I get an error message saying that the application is trying to shut down in an unusal manner when I try to open a file with Adobe Reader.

Which version of Adobe Reader is it?
If the file protected or something?
Also did you try with different pdf files, from different places to see if it is specific to a certain pdf document or to all pdf documents?
Also, try uninstalling / reinstalling.. or repair the installation.

Repeated Error Message with Adobe Reader after opening up PDF files

After experiencing this problem, not being that computer savvy I figured I'd remove the existing Adobe Reader from my computer and download a new version in the hopes of eliminating the problem. When I do so, I get message "The patch package could not be opened. verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer Patch Package."

Here are my responses as best as I can address them:
1. Adobe 10.0.1
2. I believe it is Windows XP
3. I was unable to remove the existing Adobe version because of the "patch

downloaded this patch via www.secunia.ocom "Personal Software Inspector"
program (Untitled (1)).. Using the older version alone when opening up PDF
documents resulting in their closing and my getting an error message
("Untitled and Untitled (2))..
4. I was able to successfully download Adobe 10.1.0. However, it won't allow
me to download required updates.
As a result of this mess, I have the 2 versions of Adobe on my computer,
which is allowing me to open up PDF files on my computere.
Again, I'm not terribly computer savvy. I'm simply trying to find a way to
remove the old version and work with the new version.

Error 1625 with Adobe Reader Update on Windows Server 2008 R2 OS

For the last two months when I receive updates to Adobe Reader 9.3 I get Error 1625: Update failed. Update not permitted by system policy.   But there is no system policy since this is a stand-alone machine.
Windows Server 2008 R2 is equivalent to Windows 7 OS but has some special security features. If I could manually download and run this update and by pass the Adobe automated install I might be able to fix the problem by running the update "as administrator" but I think Adobe doesn't give me that choice.
I have uninstalled and re-installed Adobe Reader 9.3 but still get the same result when applying this update.
Adobe reader is working fine, so I would be happy also if Adobe just stopped trying to send me this update.
Any suggestions?

Adobe in there infinite wisdom interpreted that as an end of message.   So here is the rest

So I then tried ʇɐb ɹəuəllıʍ's solution (the one above your suggestion) - downloading the updates to my desktop and applying them by hand.   That worked.
But this means I may need to download all future updates by hand for this computer.   It's great that ʇɐb ɹəuəllıʍ posted links for these three updates above, but I'm wondering how to easily automate getting download links for all future updates since I don't have access to the parent directory http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/.
Please suggest a way I can install all future updates by hand without requesting a special link. In particular, when you download an update using Adobe Reader "search for updates", where is that update saved so perhaps I could run it by hand instead of the automated way.

"Insufficient data for an image" still occurs with Adobe Reader 11.0.02

I have upgraded to Adobe Reader 11.0.02 although I still recieve the "Insufficient data for an image" error when viewing some PDF files.

This message only comes up when editing.
I've been trying to recreate different scenarios and it seems that it is constantly happening when I delete a page and try to save the PDF. After deleting a page, when I try to save I get this:
When I try to close out it lets me save but then viewing the PDF I get this:
When this happens, we are missing signatures or chunks of texts above the signatures, or even whole pages of text.
We have never had this issue before and we do edit PDF's all the time.

Error 1324: with adobe reader 11.0.04

Win 7 Pro 64bit machines. Whether I attempt to update or remove the reader i get the following error.
Error 1234: The path to my documents or the volume is invalid, please enter again.
Both machines this has happened to also have Adobe Pro 9/11. I believe both readers came with the WDS image.

It seems you have issues with Reader launch. Which version did you have earlier?
Please try updating Reader to latest 11.0.05.

Do you have NVIDIA driver on your machine? If yes, Please try upgrading it to latest via link below

If that is not the case, then please try this adding this registry
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\11.0\Privileged]
"bProtectedMode"=dword:00000000
It will disable the protected mode and then try launching Reader
Note: You should switch "ON" protected mode after verifying the problem. Purpose of Reader XI Protected Mode is to keep your system safe from PDF based exploits and keeping protected mode OFF will leave your system vulnerable.
