Internal error when trying to preview slideshow

Hi all, this seems like an error a few people have had but I cant seem to find an answer for this.
Regarding Lightroom Slideshow module: When I click on the preview button I get the following error:
An internal error has occurred: ?:0: attempt at index a nil value.
This occurs with any group of images I select in my catalog.
I feel this is due to a permissions fault. I was previewing slideshows fine until yesterday when I deleted one of the users profiles on my windows PC. Since then the problem has occured. I now have only one user profile (password protected admin).
Anybody any help? This is a real pain and I'm having to wait a long time exporting slideshows rather than a quick preview.
I've tried in LR5 and the newly downloaded LR CC.

Are you able to reproduce the issue consistantly with the project. Can you please ask your coworker to publish a blank project and see its working fine or not?. In case if the issue is project specific, then can you please send the .cptx file to us so that we can investigate the issue at our end. Error when trying to preview screen in screen file

A few of us are receiving an error when trying to 'preview' a screen via screen file in rulebase. A large error window pops up with about 30 lines of text in it. The window is 'Preview in Web Determinations'. It starts with:
class com.oracle.determinations.interview. engine.exceptions.CorruptSessionException: A unauthorised change to the Rule Session has been detected.
further down in error there are multiple lines starting org.apache.catalina ......
Has anyone seen this error, it's intermittent, not all screens, but once it's appeared for a particular screen, it won't stop (for that particular screen), even after re-boots etc.
Does anyone know how to fix it?

I have faced this type of scenario and it will happen if we are in interview screen for long time with (inactive mode) and when we try to "Preview". You can try being at interview screen (some time inactive) and you can reproduce this type of Error.

IChat Internal Error when trying to change own Buddy Icon

On my son's iBook G4 with OS 10.4.5 and iChat AV 3.1.1, he gets an error when trying to insert some JPG photos for his own Buddy Icon. It says:
iChat Internal error! NSInvalidargumentexception: * -[NSCFArray addObject:] attempt to insert nil
Also where are all your recent pictures stored??? Upon searching iChat Recent Pictures on my HD, it see they should be User>Library>Images>iChat Recent Pictures. However upon tyring to open that fiel, I get a message saying, "The alias 'ichat Recent Pictures' could not be opened, because the original item cannot be found." I can select delete alias, fix alias or ok. Might this also relate to my problem?

I pointed you to that thread as the error message you posted is normally associated with either a spellcheck problem or something odd with the Me Card in the Address Book.
You can drag pics to the Recent Buddies folder but iChat will not see them.
Create a New Folder and call it iChat Recent Pictures
The alias should be removed.
You should now find that iChat will let you select a choice as a new Buddy Pic.
This is done by clicking on the current Buddy pica nad selecting the "Edit Picture" option.
Then "Choose".
Navigate to the Pic and then resize as require.
Use the "Set" button.
This will convert the pic to a jpeg 2000 copy of the original and the Recents.plist which is needed within the folder.
You should now be good to go.

Receiving "internal error" when trying to burn mp3 disc from playlist

I'm trying to burn an mp3 disc from a playlist that I've created. Unfortunately, I keep getting an error. I'm currently running iTunes 11.0.2 on my iMac which is currently running 10.8.3. I've done this many times before, and this is the first that I've had this problem. Here's the error I keep getting:
The attempt to burn a disc failed. An internal error occured.
If you want to retry the current failed burn, click on Retry. If you want to go to the next disc burn, click on Next. Otherwise click on Cancel.
Here's how it goes down:
I've created a very long playlist which will require the use of multiple discs.
I right-click on the playlist and select to burn the playlist to disc.
I then get the usual burn settings pop-up menu where I select the "MP3 CD" format with a preferred speed of "Maximum Possible"
Note: Since experiencing this error, I have tried varried speeds ranging from 8x to 24x; I still get the error.
Note Also: I have tried selecting "Audio CD" instead, and the playlist will burn and the error does not appear. This is not an option I want to go with, however, because of the length of the playlist — it would take, like, 25 discs...
For a moment iTunes will read the disc, then ask permission for the playlist to be split across multiple discs. I say "ok".
At this point, iTunes will say that it is initiallizing for about a split second then immediately say it's finalizing and spit out the disc. This is when the error pops up.If I select to "Retry", it doesn't retry to burn; it just saves a .txt file to my desktop that is a copy of the error message. There's no error code/number or anything, though - just the exact same message. "Cancel" and "Next" seem to behave correctly, though.
I have tried repairing disk permissions and restarting my computer. I've also tried using different brands of CDs: Memorex CD-R and Innovera CD-R. The error persists.

Hi,
you can use the SOAP Log viewer in the EP perspective you can find this icon at the bottom right image with specs click this trace fiel will open in the browser.
In opened file search the defaulttrace file with the smallest size and go for filter with the value 1 for the current day. and search based on the error id.
Or....
if you have administrator id/pwd then type:-
http://<servername>:<port>/irj/nwa
in that you can find moniter->log file....
in this use can search based on the error id.

Error when trying to preview 3d image from revolve tool

I was trying to create a 3d image using the 3d revolve tool. I went to the tool and typed -30 degrees for the space where I was to specify the rotation of the X axis. I typed 0 degrees for specify the rotation of the Y axis. And I put 0 degrees for specify the rotation of the Z axis. I put perspective as 0 degrees, angle as 360 degrees, the cap was on, offset was 0 pt from left edge and surface was plastic shading. Then when i clicked preview i got an error saying `` The operation cannot be complete because there isn`t enough memory(RAM) available. My RAM is 4gb and I asked the store I bought it from and they said 4gb is pretty good for Windows. Oh and my operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium.

Check the Blend Steps by revealing the "More Options" You are simply trying to create too many paths/ shapes to simulate your 3D effect.

Internal Error When Trying To Connect To Enterprise Server

We are making a rather bold move upgrading from CD8.5 to CR2008. We have an enterprise server in place that can be accessed in 8.5. When I attempt to log in to the server using 2008, I get a weird error saying that an internal error has occurred for an unknown exception.
I guess the place to start is to figure out what that error message really means so we can try and fix it.
Any tips or suggestions?

There have been changes in the way CR connects to Enterprise. You did not say what version of Enterprise you are using but it should also match the version of CR.
CR 8.5 is very old and since version 9.0 most reports designed and published to current versions of Enterprise will work. You'll run into issues though because CR XI R2 and above have cascading parameters which older versions do not know anything about. Designing reports in CR 2008 and publishing them to older version of CRS may not work 100%.
Depending on the version of Enterprise you should have a valid support contract and therefore can create a case on line and work with an engineer to explain in details. If your version of Enterprise is that old you'll need to upgrade it also to BOE XI R3.1
If you are trying to connect to Enterprise 8.5 or older it's not going to work from CR 2008. They need to match versions.

Why the Fatal Error when trying to preview or edit audio in Cp 8?

I installed Cp 8 last week. (Been using Cp 3 for years, finally made the leap). Made a presentation on Cp 8 just fine -- everything worked wonderfully. Preview ... audio edits ... everything was fine.
This week I'm working on another presentation and suddenly the program goes into a fatal error EVERY TIME I try to preview it.
So --- I continued creating my presentation without previewing anything, and then recorded audio for the project. But when I went to edit the audio, BAM - another fatal error.
This is not good. :-)
Anyone else have this problem? Any known solutions?

I downloaded the program last week with the help of Adobe Tech support, because the program would not install. An error kept appearing saying it was missing a file. Spent 7 hours on Christmas Eve working with tech support in New Delhi, 1.5 hours of which was on the phone with the tech support having remote control of my computer. We finally figured out that AVG was preventing the install, so we deactivated AVG and then the program installed just fine.
As I said, I've been using Cp 3 for YEARS, so I'm familiar with what Cp is capable of doing. I created a project two days after Christmas and everything worked just find. Was able to preview anytime I wanted, and had no problem editing my audio.
Then without making any other changes to my computer's configuration, two days ago I was working on another presentation and went to preview the slide. The program reached 58% and then gave a fatal error, forcing shutdown. I thought I might be a hiccup, so I closed everything down and rebooted the computer, but still the same problem every time I tried to preview. I had half a dozen attempts, and each time a fatal error, always at the place where it says 58% complete (for the preview).
So --- I went ahead and completed the slide layouts without previewing anything, and figured I would add the audio, edit it, and publish the presentation. I recorded the audio (my voice) just fine, but when I tried to edit it (audio > edit > project), the system experienced a fatal error, again at the 58% mark of preparation.
My presentations are saved and backed up ... I've been thinking that I need to uninstall / reinstall the program, but after spending 7 hours doing that on Christmas Eve, I was hoping there might be an alternative solution.

Maybe you could describe what you are doing a bit more. What I gather is that you want to take the pacman cache from the desktop system and somehow (how?) use this to update (or install to?) a laptop.
You can make the desktop cache into a repository with gen_repo - but I forgot to say that you need to check that only a single version of each package is present in the cache (I think pacman -Sc should do that).
If the laptop and desktop are then connected, e.g. by lan, you can set pacman.conf on the laptop to point at this repository (e.g. using NFS). Or you can copy the repository to the laptop and set pacman.conf to point at it.
Another possibility would be to copy the pacman db (/var/lib/pacman/) to the laptop, and the package cache, then use pacman -S to install stuff. For that you don't need gen_repo, etc. Or you could just mount the desktop cache using NFS.
There are all sorts of possibilities ... did you have something particular in mind?

Internal Error When Trying To Save

I am a new user of FW and have used it for designing web
graphics at 72 dpi.
I needed to create an ad and thought I would use FW since I'm
so comfortable
with it. However, when I create a new .png and save it as 150
dpi or 300
dpi, I get an error that an internal error occured and it
couldn't complete
my request. When I change to 72dpi, it saves. What am I doing
wrong?

You can't
use color profiles or convert to CMYK for commercial
printing.
If your artwork is completely vector based, and you have
Freehand, you
could try opening the file in FH and resampling it there.

Internal Error when trying to create a custom controller with execute comma

I have got the following problem. I created a new web dynpro project and added an existing RFC model. But when I try to create a custom controller by applying a service controller including an execute command, I only get an internal error message. The message shows the following information:

Ok... I found a way to fix by myself. All I have to do is to create a controller first and after this I have to apply the service controller. I don´t know why but it works. Both steps together doesn´t.

I e-mailed tech support and got my answer.
I should have been using /dev/rdsk and not /dev/dsk when specifying the disk slice to put the file system on.

Internal Error when trying to deploy

We're having trouble trying to deploy our livecycle application. We have a version that works and deploys, but if we many any change (no matter how trivial) the application will not deploy, and we will be given an "Internal Error".
I read this:

but our problem isn't with checking in files, our problem is with deploying them.
In any case, we synchronized the clocks through windows. We're working on setting up a local time server for all of our machines to sync to just in case this is causing the problem, but I don't think it is.
Any advice on how to get around this Internal Error, what it means, or what causes it, would be appreciated.

We were actually able to fix it. We had some dependencies left over from files that we deleted and were no longer using. After we removed the dependencies manually from the .process_dependency file, everything worked fine.
