internal error Workbook storage fault: 310
Hi matez,
I obtain the below mentioned error when I attempted save my query as a workbook
<internal error> Workbook storage fault: 310
Kindly advice
Hi,
Note 592918 has all the answers for you, it's an authorisation problem !
Kind regards, Patrick Rieken.
Note 592918:
Symptom:
When you open BW workbooks, one of the following error messages "Workbook storage fault: 1310", "<internal error> document storage 310" or "<internal error> Workbook storage fault: 310" appears. The workbook does not appear.
Other terms
Business Explorer, 30A, 30B, 31C, workbook, 1310, 310
<internal error> workbook storage fault : 310
workbook storage fault: 1310
<internal error> document storage 310
Reason and Prerequisites
The user has no authorization object S_GUI with the activities 60 (Import) and 61 (Export).
Solution
Authorization for opening and saving BW workbooks
1. Start role maintenance transaction (PFCG)
2. Select role
3. Choose "Change" button
4. Select tab "Authorizations"
5. Choose "Change authorization data"
6. Choose "+ manually"
7. Enter "S_GUI" as "authorization object"
8. Expand "Authorization for GUI activities"
9. Under "Activity", select at least "60" (import) and "61" (export)

Dear all,
after upgrading an 3.1 (SP12) BW-system to BI 7.0 (SP15) the following error occures when we want to open existing BEx workbooks (in the BEx Analyzer 3.x):
<internal error> Workbook storage fault (read/open)
We have found out, that this refers only to those BW workbooks being created in BW 2.x and not modified ever since. Thus this actually seems to be an 2.x->7.0 issue.
Scope of our projekt it not the use of any new BI function, we are just upgrading the system.
Unfortunately some (but not all) workbooks do not run any more now. Checking existing SAPnotes has not helped yet unfortunately.
I saw very similar problems on this forum, if there is a solution, please provide it to us urgently.
THANKS for helping
FrankHello Venkat,
thanks for helping. Since I work with SAP_ALL authorization, I do not think this issue is related to missing auth. objects. The error message desribed above is withoutan number-ID, that´s why it is different than those described in the mentioned notes.
It definitely is related with the upgrade, as I can open those "corrupt" workbooks originating from BW 2.x in the productive system (still on BW3.1).
Any more suggestions?? Who remembers the 2.x - 3.x upgrade of BEx workbooks?
Thanks, Frank

Internal error workbook storage fault 330
Hi All
Trying to save a new workbook in a role i created.
Anyone know why I am getting this error. I have seen many solutions for error 310 but not 330.
The role has S_GUI and S_USER_AGR with full authorisation on each.
Anyone know what is missing for the 330 fault.
Cheers
Andyi solved this with the following
S_GUI (60, 61)
S_USER_AGR (1, 2, 3 , 6)
S_RS_COMP
S_RS_COMP1 (full)
The 2 S_BDS objects (full)

Hello,
We are using BEx 3.5, and we have a problem with a few workbooks saved in Excel 2003.
When we try to open the workbooks with Excel 2007, we get the following message:
"Workbook storage fault(read/open)"
The problem occurs in workbooks with VB code that we added.
Thank you.Hi,
You have all the information in the following discussion: http://scn.sap.com/thread/76613
Or in the OSS Note Prashanth has just said.
By the way, did you solve your issue? -
Internal Error - Unable to generate SQL for this Scheduled Workbook
I am encountering the following error when loading the results of a Scheduled Workbook;
Internal Error - Unable to generate SQL for this Scheduled Workbook (If you scheduled this workbook using a previous version of Discoverer, please reschedule and re-open)
This only happens for one of the scheduled workbooks and I am struggling to find an explanation to the problem. There are no reference to database links in the workbook so I can rule that out as a cause.
Does anyone have any suggestions to what might be causing the problem?
Many thanks
StewartHi,
The version is OracleBI Discoverer Plus Version 10.1.2.48.18. Do you think this has anything to do with it?If you are on this version, then you have the recommended patches applied.
Did you try to reschedule the workbook and see if this helps in resolving the issue?
I would suggest you enable server logging as this may help in collecting more details about the error.

Storage VIs internal error, TDMS file
I use LabView 8.5.1, DAQmx 9.0.2. and a module NI-USB6216.
I configure on my application a task as follows: 15 channels activated with a sample rate of 1sample/10s (very slow). My acquisition has to run for a few days or more.
Sometimes, I obtain the error "Storage VIs internal" error (code -2500). then I cannot read my TDMS file (see attached the file) and I cannot treat my data.
Do you know the exact meaning of this error on the case of a TDMS file. Do yo have a solution to treat my data?
Best regards, Daniel.
Solved!

Hi Mohan,
I didn't use Fiddler before, I just download and use it but how to see the request message from this software?
I have logged the request to event log before send to web service and copy this request from event log to testing with soapUI, so I don't think have between the actual messages being sent to your client via orchestration and soapui. In the log Response shape
I see the fault response in event log.
You can see
this link to know how to use fiddler. As I suggested above the error you need to check is at the server side who is hosting the service( your party ) because you are getting fault response properly from them. The webservice you are calling seems to look
like WCF service too. Your life would have been so easier if you could ask them to have firewall open from your dev box to their dev server so that you can use use "Add Service Reference" wizard, that even they have .NET wcf service too.
Did you by any chance manage to talk to them what they are getting or if they can increase the exception details in the fault message for you?

Dear all -
I am writing with the confidence that someone will be able to assist me.
I am using the Flash Builder Data Services Wizard to access a Server that utilizes REST type calls and returns JSON objects. The server is a JETTY server and it apparantly already works and is returning JSON objects (see below for example). It is both HTTP and HTTPS enabled, and right now it has a cross-domain policy file that is wide open (insecure but its not a production server, it's internal).
The crossdomain file looks like this:

<cross-domain-policy>
<allow-http-request-headers-from domain="*" headers="*" secure="false" />
<allow-access-from domain="*" to-ports="*" secure="false"/>
<site-control permitted-cross-domain-policies="master-only" />
</cross-domain-policy>
The crossdomain file is in the jetty server's root directory and is browseable via HTTP and HTTPS (i.e. browsing to it returns the xml)
Now before all of you say that using wizards sucks (generally) I thought I would utilize the FB Data Services Wizard as at least it would provide a template for which I could build additional code against, or replace and improve the code it produces.
With that in mind, I browse to the URL of the Jetty Server with any web browser (for example, Google Chrome, Firefox or IE) with a URL like this (the URL is a little confidential at the moment, but the structure is the same)
https://localhost:somePort/someKey/someUser/somePassword/someTask
*somePort is the SSL port like 8443
*someKey is a key to access the URL's set of services
returns a JSON object as a string in the web browser and it appears like the following:
{"result":success,"value":"whatEverTheValueShould"}
Looks like the JSON string/object is valid.
I went through the Flash Builder Data Services Wizard to set up HTTP access to this server. The information that I filled in is described below:
Do you want to use a Base URL as a prefix for all operation URLs?
YES
Base URL:
https://localhost:8443/someKey/
Name : someTask
Method : POST
Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded
URL : {someUser}/{somePassword}/someTask
Service Name: SampleRestapi
Services Package: services.SampleRestapi
datatype objects: valueObjects:
Completing the wizard, I run the Test Operation command. Remember, no authentication is needed to get a JSON string.
It returns:
InvocationTargetException: Unable to connect to the URL specified
I am thinking - okay, but the URL IS browseable (as I originally was able to browse to it, as noted above).
I continue to test the service by creating a Flex application that accepts a username and password in a form. when the form is submitted, the call to the service is invoked and an event handler returns the result. The code is below (with some minor changes to mask the actual source).

<s:Application xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009"
xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark"
xmlns:mx="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/mx"
xmlns:SampleRestapi="services.SampleRestapi.*"
minWidth="955" minHeight="600">
<fx:Script>

import mx.controls.Alert;
import mx.rpc.events.ResultEvent;
protected function button_clickHandler(event:MouseEvent):void
isUserValidResult.token = SampleRestAPI.isUserValid(userNameTextInput.text,passwordTextInput.text);
protected function SampleRestAPI_resultHandler(event:ResultEvent):void
// TODO Auto-generated method stub
// print out the results
txtAreaResults.text = event.result.message as String;
// txtAreaResults.appendText( "headers \n" + event.headers.toString() );

</fx:Script>
<fx:Declarations>
<SampleRestapi:SampleRestAPI id="SampleRestAPI"
fault="Alert.show(event.fault.faultString + '\n' + event.fault.faultDetail)"
result="SampleRestAPI_resultHandler(event)"
showBusyCursor="true"/>
<s:CallResponder id="isUserValidResult"/>

</fx:Declarations>
<s:Form defaultButton="{button}">
<s:FormItem label="UserName">
<s:TextInput id="userNameTextInput" text="q"/>
</s:FormItem>
<s:FormItem label="Password">
<s:TextInput id="passwordTextInput" text="q"/>
</s:FormItem>
<s:Button id="button" label="IsUserValid" click="button_clickHandler(event)"/>
<s:FormItem label="results:">
<s:TextArea id="txtAreaResults"/>
</s:FormItem>
</s:Form>
</s:Application>
It's a simple application to be sure. When I run it , I get the following returned in the text area field txtAreaResults:
An Internal Error Occured.
Which is equivalent to the following JSON string being returned:
{"success":false,"value":"An Internal Error Occured"}
It appears that the call is being made, and that a JSON object is being returned... however it does not return the expected results?
Again the URL constructed is the same:
https://www.somedomain.com:somePort/someKey/someUser/somePassword/someTask
So I am wondering what the issue could be:
1) is it the fact that I am browsing the test application from an insecure (http://) web page containing the Flex application and it is accessing a service through https:// ?
2) is the JSON string structurally correct? (it appears so).
3) There is a certificate enabled for HTTPs. it does not match the test site I am using ( the cert is for www.somedomain.com but I am using localhost for testing). Would that be an issue? Google Chrome and IE just asks me to proceed anyway, which I say "yes".
Any help or assistance on this would be appreciated.
thanks
EdwardHello everyone -
Since I last posted an interesting update happened. I tested my Flex application again, it is calling a Jetty Server that returns a JSON object, in different BROWSERS. I disabled HTTPS for now, and the crossdomain.xml policy file is wide open for testing (ie. allowing every request to return data). So the app accessing the data using HTTP only. Browsers - IE, Opera, Firefox and Chrome. Each browser contained the SAME application, revision of the Flash Player (10.3.183.10 debugger for firefox, chrome, opera, safari PC; 11.0.1.129 consumer version in IE9,) take a look at the screen shot (safari not shown although the result was the same as IE and chrome)
Note that Opera and Firefox returned successful values (i.e. successful JSON objects) using the same code generated from the Data Services Wizard. Chrome, IE and, Safari failed with an Internal error. So I am left wondering - WHY? Is it something with the Flash Player? the Browsers? the Flex SDK? Any thoughts are appreciated. Again, the code is found in the original thread above. -
Internal error: "memory.cpp", line 593 with PXI 8175
Hi,
I have created a program with Labview RT 7.0 which makes acquisition, storage and display of data with PXI controllers 8175.
I used Datasocket for the data display on a deported computer.
Because of the number of the Datasocket tags used, instead of sending values all the time, I'm sending value for the deported computer only if the user needs to see it.
For example : if the user needs to see data, so only Datasocket tags for data display will be active, and if the user needs to see parameters values, so only parameters datasockets tags will be active. And, if the display program is in "standby" mode, almost all datasocket aren't active.
So when the user needs to see data values, he opens the data values window of the display program, and then, the datasockets tags for data value are now active, but : sometimes at this moment, the PXI stops with an "internal error "memory.cpp" line 593"!
The only solution is to manually reboot the PXI, the programmatically reboot doesn't work in this case of error. But it is far away from the displaying computer.
The error happens regularly after a 2 weeks period of standby. So I though about a memory overflow, I checked all the arrays, and none of them is growing to the infinity.
If someone knows about this problem, I will be very happy to learn about how to get rid of it!!!

G Liagre

G LiagreHi Rob, Hi Matthieu,
Thank you for your reply.
I found in the database many reply about this error, but none of them were helpfull for me.
I tryed your link to the knowledge data base, but the error described there is for dll association in LabView and interface nodes.
I didn't used any interface node in my code.
The problem is that I cannot test my program on the PXI because I don't have access to it rightnow (only by remote desktop, and with a 56k modem..)
Let me give you a part of this huge code.
I suspect this part of the code to be the one which create the problem, but it's not sure.
If you find something obviously wrong, tell me!
Best regards,
G Liagre

Remote Desktop Connection - internal error
My laptop is running Windows 8.1 and since yesterday has starting giving problems when connecting to remote PCs using Remote Desktop Connection.
It asks for the password and then shows 'Configuring remote session' for about 30 seconds and then displays 'An internal error has occurred'. Another PC on the same network is able to connect to the remote PC without problem. I've tried connecting
to four other PCs with this laptop and two work and three don't.
I've tried changing various settings such as bitmap caching and clipboard sharing etc. Nothing makes a difference.
I've also used system restore to reverse recent windows updates and that hasn't helped either.
Any ideas?
What can cause 'An internal error has occurred'? Will it be writing to a log somewhere that I can look at to find further information about the error?
Thanks
AndyI'm not sure if you meant there could be a problem with the user profile on the laptop or the one on the server I'm trying to connect to?
However, it seems to be the latter. I just created a new user account on the server and can now remote into it from my laptop. If I try the original user account again (Administrator) then I get the internal error message. Other client
PCs can still log-in to the server using the same Administrator account without problem.
Is there something I can do (either to client or server) to clear the fault with the Adminstrator account without wiping that account on the server? -

I have completed MSSQL server configuration and while configuring VMM the below error displayed in the wizard:
An internal error has occurred trying to contact an agent on the WIN-NTJTNEJ1UCN.mydomain.com server: : .
Ensure the agent is installed and running. Ensure the WS-Management service is installed and running, then restart the agent.
I have checked that the following services are running:
1) Verified WS-Management srvice 2) MSSQL server + MSSQL (agent) 3)SC VM Manager Agent 4) Windows management instrumentation .
I have joined the VM (on which installing SC VMM) in a domain(as per install guide) and installing VMM using domain account & it is in local Administrators group.
Also I would like know if there is any stand alone SC VMM installer. If yes then please let me know the installer location & install guide.
thanks.
