Internal HD cannot be repaired.

I have a Power Mac G5 (powerpc) with two internal 500gb hard-drives. One harddrive I have with Leopard 10.5.4 and the other with 10.4.6.
My 10.5.4 hard-drive is being very laggy and I have tried:
-Re-installing OS software.
-Repairing Disk
-Repairing Disk Permissions
-Dumping all the unnecessary cache files
-Repairing Disk from OS DVD.
I just recently tried to repair it again and this is what it gave me:

Backup. Then reformat.
Never do an Archive Install over a bad directory of course.
Even if Disk Warrior fixes problems, I would still only backup to a 2nd set, not compromise a good backup set, and reformat the drive (not just erase the partition you have).
Also, keep an emergency boot drive partition just for repairs, don't rely on your DVDs to do repairs. Install 10.5.5 with minimal extras you need can fit on 20GB partition if needed. Keep a backup clone of your working system somewhere else, and backup and do repairs before you apply updates or patches.
Might even be time to zero the drive and invest in a new drive, which might be a good excuse to have more backups and faster/better system drive.

IPhone & iPad cannot be repaired in Malaysia?

I am the proud owner of an iPad 2. However, my iPad 2 has encountered a problem which some people called it as "being possessed" where the screen move by itself, clicking & closing apps by itself. When I opened an app/game which shows marking at the place where u touch the screen, it shows that several parts of the screen kept on being touched the "ghost". So, I read the discussion in this apple forum & find a conclusion that it is a hardware problem. So, I decided to take my iPad 2 to the only apple service centre (or apple's authorized agent) at Kota Kinabalu (FYI, a district in Sabah, Malaysia) to do the repairs & I informed them of the problem.
However, to my horror I was informed that this apple service centre is not doing any kind of repairs (probably in respect of hardware or any other repairs that needed to be done by unscrewing the iPad). I was further informed that there is no apple service centre in Malaysia that do this kind or repairs. What can I only do is to send my iPad 2 for replacement & my iPad 2 will be sent to Singapore for replacement & I have to pay RM1000++ for the replacement!!!
The other option that I can do is to go to a 3rd party shop to do the repairs!! Is is sad & frustrating to know that iPad or iPhone cannot be repaired is there is a hardware problem. Now, since I also owned 2 iPhone 5 (one used by my wife) & 1 iPad Mini, I am so worried of their future in the event that they also suffered the hardware problem. As for my iPad 2, I have no choice but to send it to the 3rd party shop for repairs. If it still cannot resolve the problem, I may have to put my iPad 2 to sleep, forever! RIP!

Nokia Lumia 920 CANNOT be repaired?

I purchased a Nokia Lumia 920 not very long ago, and even though it hung on me within the first hour of me having the phone.. I was pretty happy with it. Sadly, I happened to spill some water on it and promptly took it to a Nokia Care Center here in India (at Irla). They told me they will have to send it to the Nokia 'Main Center' at New Delhi. I reconfirmed this with another Nokia Care Center (at Ghatkopar) - and allowed them to ship my phone to New Delhi. Now they have returned the phone saying that it CANNOT be repaired. I am at a complete loss of words... WORSE things happened to my Blackberry & my previous Nokia phone (my earlier Nokia was completely submerged in water and it still worked!!!) and they were repaired within virtually no time.
Please someone help me understand -
1. Is Nokia Lumia 920, THAT fragile and I made a complete fool of myself buying the phone?
2. Is there anyone else, anywhere in the world, who can help me repair my phone?

Yes, that can happen, and I can see that a repairer wouldn't want to give any warranty on such a repair, but it's not pointless for the owner if the only other option is to discard the phone and buy another. Many drenched phones go on to work for years after careful, thorough drying out.
One of my kids' phones recovered after a trip through our washing machine. In that case admittedly I had to open it up and wash it with clean water and a soft brush to get rid of soap residue and corrosion, but after a week or two in the airing cupboard it was as good as new.

Internal error, cannot load engine Number 2 due to error 5

I have had a StartStop transcription program for several years. I bought my Dell computer with Windows 8 (now 8.1) in late 2014. I had no problems running the StartStop program until it got a tune-up by my regular tech. Since then, when I click to
open it, I get the message: "##### Internal error, cannot load engine Number 2 due to error 5." My tech couldn't figure it out and another tech couldn't fix it either after looking at it for hours. StartStop could not figure it out either.
Since then, I bought a Digitope digitalizer, which converts cassette tapes to CD's. When I try to open that program the exact same error message comes up!
So I am thinking there is something awry with certain audio programs. I am able to run another transcription program, Express Scribe.
Any thoughts!
The 2nd tech suggested rebooting the entire computer and reinstalling all programs, but I'm not sure I can find all my original programs.

My ipod classic is not recognised by itunes any more and gives a message, this disc cannot be repaired by this computer. Works well in all other ways, anyone else have this problem?

You probably have to run one or all of the IPHOTO resets/repairs over your library. Its in IPHOTO help which keys you have to hold down while opening IPHOTO.
Sorry don't remember which keys.

PDF error message "The file is damaged and cannot be repaired"

Across several versions (upgrades) of Mozilla and from
several sites I have a problem when viewing pages (ie.
from MoinMoin wikis but also other CMS systems) with
embedded PDF documents.
I get an error dialog saying "The file is damaged and cannot be repaired" and a reference to a local cached copy of a
".tmp" file. If I right click on the link and "Save Link"
as a local file then the PDF views correctly (and it renders
correctly within the HTML page with other browsers such
as IE).
The page below (bizarrely) works for me, but similar
documents fail on password protected sites.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
* Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
* Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Please make sure your refresh minutes is turned off in config.xml. You should put very large value like 999999 for RefreshMinutes parameter for
defination of connectionpool in config.xml instead of 0.

You need something stronger, such as DiskWarrior, TechTools Pro, or Data Rescue.

2007 MacBook Pro, was shut down properly last PM. Today on startup, spins and spins but cannot get to log in screen. Held option key with restart and using disk utilities the mac HD showing needs repair, but cannot be repaired. Says save as many files as possible and reinstall software. Can't save files, can't get into them. Willing to reinstall without saving, but can't because only disk option for the reinstall showing is the repair disk, and it is showing as locked. What to do?

Sounds like the drive is starting to fail. Have you ever change the drive in that system? If not then it is time to think about doing that, the sooner the better.

My disk0s2 cannot be repaired. Is there a way to recover files on my computer?

My computer had a spinning wheel yesterday that would not go away, so I forced a shutdown (had done it before with no problems). However, now my computer goes straight to the diagnostic tool, and when I try to repair disk0s2, it cannot be repaired. I didn't have Time Machine automatically running, and my most recent backup is too old and I don't want to lose all of our pictures. I'm desperate here - is there any other way to recover files off of this disk?
My MacBook pro is only 2 years old so this came as a surprise. I've scheduled an appointment at the Apple Store but I'm seeing if there is anything I can do to help now...

Try using a data recovery product such as the ones listed here. Don't write anything else to the drive until the files are recovered or you choose not to recover them.

I am porting my application from WL8.1-SQl2000 to Sql Server2005. I went in for the Microsoftâ€™s MS SQL Server Driver(Type 4 XA) Versions:2000 and the corresponding one for non-XA also. Then in the next step where we usually give the other DB properties like DB name, server name etc, there is a field called â€œPropertiesâ€ which defines the basic properties which we have configured. In that field, there is a new property having name-value pair : dataSourceName=SQL2000JDBC. I am not sure what this would do, so I just left it to remain & continued with the other things.
This, in no way affected the proper execution of my application.
I have 1 XA datasource & 3 non-XA datasources configured for my application.
When I start my server, in the comman prompt, a resource limit exception appears & then the server proceeds to start successfully. I am also abe to save things into the DB & do all other tests properly. But this keeps hindering me. Our DB server is configured to accept infinite connections, so its absurd to get a connection not available exception.
I doubt whether the initial datasource property that I have mentioned can have anything to do with this exception during startup. Please help me.

The pool's max capacity is defined as lower than the need at
the time. Please show me the full pool definition from the
config.xml. It may also have something to do with the fact
that your code is a startup class, and are you sure the
pool is ready at this time?

The Data Sources Configuration are as below:

This indicates that none of your datasources have been able to successfully connect to the database.
Please check the connectivity to your database from the datasources.
Also, you can login into the console and check if the connections are good, by doing test connection on the datasource.

The error you get when you do test connection will help you to understand any connectivity issues.
