  • Internal ITS - service CATW not running

    Hello Experts,
I want to migrate from external ITS to the internal on ERP2005. The internal ITS seems to work, at least service webgui looks ok.
What I need most is the CATW (timesheet) service. I have published it in SE80, in SICF I have added several parameters in the Gui-Configuration, now the service starts but what I get is not the "IAC-look" of CATW, but I get the transaction CATW which opens in the webgui. (looks exactly like in the gui when opening transaction CATW.
Any hints and tips for me?
I just want the Cats regular (ITS version) of the timesheet which uses the CATW service templates.
    best regards,
    JOhannes

    Johannes,
Thank you for your quick reply.  At first I tried looking for Aliases in SICF, and couldn't see any for sap/public/bc/its/mimes (although I don't know how to find an internal alias sorry) so I created an external alias sap/public/bc/its/mimes to point to default_host/sap/public/bc/icons which in SE80 Mime Repository looks as though it's where s_b_copy.gif is, but that still didn't let CATW find s_b_copy.gif so I went back to SE80, Internet Services, CATW.  There I created s_b_copy.gif under CATW > Topic 99 > Mime Objects > ICONS which is where I find other .gif files which work, e.g. DELETELINE.GIF.  I then changed template 1000APPCORE so that teh code for s_b_copy.gif looked like the code for magnify.gif   which is:
    <a href="#" onclick="javascript:OkCode1000('COPYTARGET')"><img src="`mimeURL(~service="CATW", ~theme="99", ~language="", "icons/s_b_copy.gif")`" border=0 alt="`COPYTARGET-TIP`"></a>
I published CATW again, and when I start the service, s_b_copy.gif still doesn't show, but when I look at it's properties it's the same as for magnify.gif which is <server>/sap/public/bc/its/mimes/CATW/99/icons/magnify.gif
I'm obviously misunderstanding something as I thought this would get the icon displayed.  Any thoughts what I'm missing please ?
    Thanks again,
    James.

  • Clear internal ITS cache?

    Hello,
We're running SRM 4.0.  One of our vendors recently changed the IP address that their domain name resolves to.  We use the domain name, so we didn't think it would be a problem.  But if we ping the domain from our local machines (outside of SAP) it resolves to the old address.  I believe this is a problem within our network.
My question is, is there an internal ITS cache that needs to be cleared as well?  I don't want our network folks to resolve the issue and then have our SAP system still trying to connect to the old IP address as well.  Thank you.

  • Application Server Session timed out (-11) (lack of debug in internal ITS)

    Dear Sirs,
I get the error message below, when I try to run a IAC through internal ITS. The IAC worked for a while (<30 minutes), and then suddenly this error appeared.
I can see that this error message has been asked about previously, but then in connection with statefull/stateless BSP applications (e.g "Session timed out thread", on this forum May 31 2005).
In this thread the solution is apparently to alter the 'rdisp/plugin_auto_logout', is this the case for us as well?
I have read Error handling using the ICM , but not able to actually beeing able to pinpoint the problme.
All our other IAC are working it is only a problem with one of them. The problem is still valid even if I log on with different user, and the error is still there now even after two hours. The problem transaction is a altered version of the WSTA, and I am able to get the first screen where I enter the store number.
Any tips or suggestions to pinpoint the error?

    Dear Sirs,
The error has been solved. It was a matter of an illegal input sendt to the RetailHeaderFunction.
However, this makes way for another question.
On the standalone ITS, it was possible to get error messages which indicated where the code contained errors, when it was runned.
How is it possible to make the internal ITS gives better feedback (errors?), and show where the error is?

  • Partner Profile and its configuration.

    Hi all,
I am creating an SD IDoc using EDI and send it between two servers.
I need to know what is a partner profile and why should we create it.
what are the steps to be followed in maintaining a partner profile and its configuration.
Any pointers will be highly apppreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    Jose
Edited by: Jose Anthony Reddy on Dec 17, 2007 11:23 PM

    Hi Jose,
Below is a material you can go through .
    Creating an Outbound Partner Profile
Here you must enter the data manually. Alternatively, you can also transfer the default values from Customizing.
If you are not yet on the change screen of your desired partner, choose SAP Menu ® Tools ® IDoc Interface/ALE ® Administration ® Runtime Settings ® Partner Agreement (WE20).
    1. Position the mouse on your partner in the required partner type node. Choose in the Outbound Parameter table.
    Key Fields
    2. You have already determined partner number and partner type in general partner processing. The partner function from the master data defines the addressee, that is, it is used for further classification purposes. If you have selected outbound processing under Message Control (MC), the function must be identical to the corresponding Message Control field. Otherwise, it is optional.
Partner A (customer 1110) wants to order a material from partner B (vendor 1014). Partner B is of the partner type “LI” (vendor) and must choose the Message Control value “VD” (vendor) as the partner function because orders must always be processed using Message Control.
    3. Specify the business process with the “logical” message, within which the IDoc type is used. The logical message is described by three parameters: The message type is based on EDIFACT message types: For example, a purchase order is of type “ORDERS”. You can further divide the message type with the optional fields message code and message function.
    4. Configure the test indicator if you want to send the message as a test.
Message, partner and test indicator are the seven key fields of the outbound partner profiles (the client comes in addition to these). Also see the graphic at the end of this section.
    Other Fields
    5. In the Outbound options tab page, you can determine whether IDocs are forwarded immediately to the receiving system. You should ensure that your entries are compatible with the Message Control priorities, if you have chosen outbound processing under Message Control. A list of recommended combinations is provided in the section Outbound Processing Under MC: Procedure.
    6. You have already defined the Recipient port in Port definition.
    7. If a port of type TRFC is used, the Queue Processing field is visible. You can use the indicator to specify whether IDocs are to be sent with qRFC. This sending technique is only possible for recipient SAP systems as of SAP Web AS 6.20.
You should only set this flag if it is really necessary that the IDocs sent are received in the receiving system in the same sequence as they were sent by the sender system. Queuing can cause posting delays in the receiving system, because an IDoc in the queue cannot be posted. In this case, the following IDocs in the queue cannot be posted until the error is resolved.
    8. If you have set the Queue Processing indicator, the Rule Name field, which you must then also maintain, appears as well. The rule name defines the rules for queue names. You can specify these rules in the transaction qRFC IDoc Queue Name Rules (WE85).
    9. Specify the IDoc type as the Basic type with or without extension. If you want to use a view of your IDoc type (for example, to improve the performance), specify this here.
The figure below shows the m-to-n relationship between logical messages (business meaning) and IDoc types (technical format). Message 1, for example, is always assigned to one IDoc type, while message 3 is assigned to two IDoc types. IDoc type 2, in turn, is also assigned to 2 logical messages.
    10. The segment release specifies the release from which the segment definitions (not the IDoc type definition) originates. We recommend that you leave this field blank so that the most recent segment definition is used.
    11. You can propose an EDI standard, version and EDI message type for the receiving system in the tab page EDI Standard. Most subsystems, however, should be able to determine these EDI settings themselves (from the logical message).
    12. You can define permitted agents for cases in which exceptions occur. This entry overrides the entry in the general partner profiles. Depending on the message, therefore, the exception can be handled by different agents of the same partner.
    13. You can specify whether syntax errors are to be ignored or are to lead to a processing error (Cancel Processing flag under syntax check in the tab page outbound options). For more information about exception handling and permitted agents, refer to the following section: Exception Handling
    14. If your hardware supports it, create partner and message specific telephony data for outbound IDocs. For more information, see General Partner Profile.
Graphic: Outbound partner profile fields (general)
Key fields are shown in gray. The values for partner, message and test indicator (and client) therefore provide a unique ID for the IDoc type in outbound processing.

    Praveen

  • ESS with Internal ITS

We are using ESS 50.4 on ECC6 with internal ITS.  It is working well except for a mouseover message when the user places the mouse over a pushbutton in the applications for Address, Personal Information, Bank Information, and Family/Related persons.
The mouseover message says 'Pushbutton deactivated' even though the pushbutton has not been deactivated.
Can this be fixed via the portal or through ICF or in SE80?
    Thanks for any suggestions,
    D. Maupin

    Donna,
Those parameters look about right for the WEBGUI service, but not so much for the ESS services you mentioned.
I just had a look at one of the few remaining ITS based ESS services we still use (PZ03 Bank) and the parameters we have set in SE80 and SICF look like this:
    ~AUTOSCROLL      0
    ~GENERATEDYNPRO      1
    ~LANGUAGE
    ~LISTSCROLLING      0
    ~LOGIN
    ~PASSWORD
    ~POPUPS      1
    ~STYLE      DHTML
    ~TRANSACTION     PZ03
    ~WEBTRANSACTIONTYPE  EWT
The mouseover messages seem to work fine for us with those parameters, maybe try setting one of yours the same way and see if that helps.

  • Cprojects 3.1 and internal ITS

    Dear Sirs,
we are usign cprojects 3.1 in conjunction with internal ITS on WAS 6.40. In accounting and other places where there are links to SAP transactions, when clicked, they open a new window with the following url.
    host/scripts/wgate/webgui/!?Calling parameter
However on the internal ITS this has changed quite to:
    host/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?Calling parameters
I need to change the calling URL of cprojects in order to get cprojects to work with internal ITS. I have not seen any way to do this in customizing. Any ideas?
In note 668808 cProjects: HTTP error 404 when calling R/3 transaction, there is reference to a error with the ITS calling URL (how to force it to lower case). The corrections is done to METH CL_DPR_OLR3_WORKCREATE_URL_TRANSACTION
My plan is to rewrite this meth to use the new its path, however is this the correct way to do it? Or are there any other way to do it?
    Regards,
    Jørgen

    Hello,
if the SAP server which are running FI/CO (accounting integration) does not have a standalone ITS, and is running WebAS 6.40 or higher, you can activate the ITS. I will not go into how this is done, as a fast search on sdn will provide you a much better answer.
The internal ITS is not a pre-requiste for calling controlling cockpit (or other transactions) from cProjects; the pre-requiste is an ITS server. However, whether this is a standalone or internal one does not make much of a difference.
    regards,
    Jørgen.

  • Internal ITS, ITS_ERRMSG_EXCEPTION SAPMSYST

    Dear Sirs,
I am currently facing an issue with an IAC based on the standard WSTA (some modification to the IAC) program by SAP. It runs quite well, but it looks like out of a 500 user sessions I have got three similar short dumps.
    The error message is,
I know the answer generally is to active ~webdynpro 1 (it is currently 0). However as I understand it this will only make the error appear more sensible. I can not understand why it only happens 1/100 times, could it be something to do with scarce resources?.
Does anyone have any input on where to start looking for the error, what is the normal errors concealed by the error.
I am aware of note 859213 Integrated ITS, error messg on transaction selection screen, however if does not give an answer. We are on the recommended stack/patch level.
    best regards,
    Jørgen

    Hello Klaus,
first of all I would like to thank you for the very good answers which you always seem to give.
As for the ~webdynpro it was a typo :=).
The service is migrated from standalone ITS to Internal ITS, and the same a dynpros is covered (same templates, same parameters). Would you think that is probable that this error has been exsisting at the standalone ITS as well, and have just been discovered now. Or is this something which may have been caused by the internal ITS migration.
Our big problem is that since the error is rare, even though if we set ~generatedynpro 1, if the long error appear on the end user side. It is unlikely we will be able to get the long solution? (as the users probably will forget to send it to us).Or will the long solution be available in some central log which we can read.
And just to double check, there are no downsides on setting the ~generatedynpro 1?. If it not, I guess best practice should be to set it on every IAC.
    Best regards,
    Jørgen Ruud

  • Internal ITS

    Hi everybody!
We try to migrate the an application which is on a ITS server to the internal ITS of a WAS. This is working w/o any problems beside that we can not change the design of the search help. How can I change this? Are there any descriptions?
Thanks in advance for your answer..

  • Internal ITS, IAC and PocketPC Browser

    Dear all,
we have some self written IACs running on a PocketPC. After migration to WebAS 7.0 with internal ITS the IACs quit with "Browser version not supported". There is no problem running these IACs in the Browser, they are all classic IACs with just HTML code. No JS and so on. Anybody an idea how to tell WebAs not to throw the exception?

The mouseover message says 'Pushbutton deactivated' even though the pushbutton has not been deactivated.

What development causes a message on a mouseover of a pushbutton when using SAPGUI for HTML?
Is it an ICF variable setting, an ITS CSS issue, a portal issue, or something else.
The ITS parameters are set to:
    ~singletransaction=1
    ~webgui=1
    ~webgui_simple_toolbar=128
    ~generateddynpro=1
    ~popups=1
Is there some other parameter that would prevent the mouseover message from appearing?

  • How to use Web Filters methodology  with Internal ITS with NW2004s

ITS 6.2 will no longer be supported going forward with the upcoming NW2004s. Only internal ITS will be supported with 2004s. However, since PAS APIs are not available with Internal ITS, Can any one give some clue on how we can use the Web Filters methodology for use with Internal ITS with 2004s.

A long time ago, but yesterday i have had time to try again to setup the MacMini server properly. But no luck.
    sudo changeip -checkhostname
    gives me:
Primary address          = 192.168.1.** (i don't know it's save enough to put this IP complete on the net)
    Current HostName      = server.beeldenstorm.be
The DNS hostname is not available, please repair DNS and re-run this tool.
    dirserv:success           = "success"
So their is something wrong. But how to repair the DNS?
MacMini server is working properly on our local network, but outside not. I have done the port forwarding.
Another problem is that i have read that for the server to work properly we have to use fix IP address.
So, that's what i am doing. But in that way their is no internet connection at all.
So, no updates and ... .
Lookup and Ping test, outside our local network:
    http://beeldenstorm.be/doc/lookup-and-ping.pdf
Why is this so irritating and are there soo many problems on forums?
I know: because most of us are not network/server specialists.
But Apple sells this server app like a app for everybody, easy to install?
    Thanks for help.

  • When differences in parameters in SICF and SE80? (internal ITS)

    Dear Sirs,
When using the internal ITS it is nessicary to maintain parameters in both SICF and SE80.
In a case where it is a difference between the two, eg. ~theme 99 (SICF) and ~theme 90 (SE80), which will be the controlling one? (which has presedence over the other?)
Is it needed to set all the parameteres in SICF, or is it possible to set a bare minimum (~transaction and ~theme) and then set the rest in SE80. (as SICF can be out of the developers reach).
    Best regards,
    Jørgen Ruud

    Thank you Klaus,
as usual a very good answer. I was under the impression that the parameters had to be maintained both places, which I found a bit strange.
Thanks for clearing this up to me.
    Best regards,
    Jørgen.

  • Migrating Services From External ITS to Internal ITS

    Hi All,
We are migrating from External ITS 2.0 (SAP R/3 4.6B) to Internal ITS 6.0 (SAP ECC 6). Can anyone tell me on how to migrate services which are there in External ITS to Internal ITS, so that the same External ITS services are visible in SICF or SE80 Transaction.
    Thanks and Regards In Advance,
    Sidhartha Chatterjee

    Hi Sidhartha,
As Klaus recommend, you should start with help.sap.com.
I would also suggest doing a search in this forum, for similar threads like your. There are many of them, with good links and tips.
I think a very good practical start to understanding the internal ITS is to read Durairaj Raja's excellent webblog, "Running your first ITS WebGUI application in SAP Netweaver 04 ABAP Edition", /people/durairaj.athavanraja/blog/2005/08/21/running-your-first-its-webgui-application-in-sap-netweaver-04-abap-edition--nsp
