Internal memory full

My phone memory is almost full. I have a 32gb SD card but it won't automatically send things to it. I've been to the Verizon store and they can't help me. Is there anyone out there experience the same thing. I'm not very tech savvy so if someone can help that'll be great. Thanks.

zayzay29,
I've got some tips to ensure you are using the SD card to your advantage! First, I want you to make sure the default save option for the camera is set to SD card. Launch your camera app, then tap Menu>Settings(gear wheel)>Storage Location>SD Card. That will save any future pictures and videos to the SD card.
For the existing pictures/videos, you'll want to use the app "My Files" to go into your internal phone storage and move the pics/vids to SD card/external storage. The files are typically under 'DCIM'. If you're more comfortable using a computer to move the files, you can do that too! Just connect the device to the PC using the USB cable, then using it as a mass storage device, drag and drop the files from DCIM to the SD card like you would a jump drive. There is more information that will benefit you in the User Manual that begins on page 46.
Thank you!

  • Acer Iconia One 7 internal memory full and cannot move apps to external sd card

Hi, I have the Iconia One 7 (model B1-730) running kitkat (4.4.2) which has very few apps installed (it is only a month old) and I am already getting an internal memory full error.  I have a 64 GB external SD Card but I can't figure out how to move any of the apps to the external card.  On my wifes phone (Galaxy S3) you just go into the app in the settings and there is a button you can push to move it to the external memory but I am not seeing any such button here. Please help, Thanks,

you can move only non system application (default installed applications), you will find the same button to move to SD but notice that on kitkat google changed policy on SD data management and this limited a lot the "move to SD" option. samsung by-passed that going against Google rules, Acer didn't.

  • Satio internal memory full

My other files is 73Mb, i have tried deleting everything i can think of, no pictures, videos, music all on my phone card. Have tried to restore factory setting and it didnt do anything, HELP i cant receive texts!

Pictures, music and videos are stored on the phone's memory card so they should not effect the internal memory on the handset.
The data which usually takes up the most space would be items such as Text Messages, Calendar entries, Call logs and contacts. You can free up the phones internal memory by deleting some of the unwanted items and also set the following settings so incoming messages are stored on the memory card:
Messaging > Options > Settings > Other > Memory in use > Memory Card.
    I hope this helps you.

  • Memory full for Internal table

    Hi all,
I have an intenal table where I need to pass millions of records. I am getting short dump due to the memory full. The message is 'the maximum no of bytes passed is exceeded'.
To avoid this, I have used the Hash table, but still got the same error. If I execute the same program with less period, the program is getting exected, because the no.of records which we are passing is less. the problem comes during selecting many millions of records from the database table to internal table.
    Please advice ASAP.
    Thanks,
    Venu

    Hi Venu,
In this case you could use the PACKAGE SIZE addition in the SELECT query to process in limited amount of data, thus avoiding the memory overloads.
    Eg:
    SELECT *
    FROM &table&;
    INTO TABLE itab
    PACKAGE SIZE <n>.
    IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
    *" Process the n records
    ENDIF.
    ENDSELECT.

  • My N900 internal memory is full

    Hi
I am Nelson Lobo and I possess the nokia n900. I simply love the phone but now its giving some problems
I have been installing apps and uninstalling them to save space. However I find that even though i uninstall the apps, the free memory space keeps on getting lesser and lesser. That means these apps leave some files behind even after being uninstalled.
Now I have very less internal memory and even though i have uninstalled all teh other unnecessary apps, it is still showing me memory low.
So was thinking of flashing my N900 (the internal memory). Pls can you suggest what can I do to empty the internal memory
    Regards
    Nelson
    NLobo

you may have residual data left as you suggest. but man....that is a lot of data if you are just installing applications. not sure you could really be using all of them.
follow my direction in the top12 thread that is sticky on the top of the maemo board.
also, you can try the talk.maemo.org board. many gurus there.

  • Camileo S10 - Arcsoft doesn't recognize any files on SD card & internal memory

I have just bought a Camileo s10 camcoder.
So far i was satisfied with the product till i connected it to my pc (vista fully compatible with recommendations).
I installed the Arcsoft software but i never got any file imported because *the program recognised both sd and internal memory as empty*(i could play the files in the camera's player as well as from my pc's card reader ).
I used other similar suites with no luck.I then tried to format the sd hc 8gb card and restore my files but unluckily i noticed *the video/foto files were not recognised, at that time, even from the camera* .
Another serious concern is that i had an hd(720p) .mov file from a trailer in my memory card and the camera could not see it (+i wanted to use the camcoder as a high def player connected to my sony full hd tv+).
I have searched for answers almost anywhere but so far i got no response

Actually thanks for the advice.I tried those you mentioned and i finally(partially at least) found out that in the sd card and internal memory folders *there where 2 folders* with the same name(100MEDIA.. something)
One was recognised as an application and the other as a folder. The folder was a hidden file permanently so i supposed this was the reason so my first concern is answered.I found it really weard though!
I made the format inside the camera. You mentioned a higher class card.Would this improve something specifically?I observed that i have class 4 SD hc.
*My main worry now is to recognise the recording format of this camera so i can convert other video formats to it.And so far nobody seems to know as everybody is interested in editing recorded videos and not in reproducing.
    Thank you for your answer

  • Deleted by mistake some files off the internal memory

Device storage was almost full and I decided to check what too most space and delete it. I went through folders to see that some folders were repeated twice. Decided to try deleting one(automatically regretted it) to see if the other one stayed.
As a conclusion, I deleted 600 items, most of them music, of the internal memory.
Is there any way to recover it?

There are different recovery software programs available out there that run on Windows. Perhaps one of them might be able to recover it if you connect to your PC. There is nothing on the device that can recover it.
That said, I've noticed the duplicated folders, as well, but haven't tried to delete them.

  • I have downloaded firefox beta version on my galaxy y it shows that it installed on memory card but it occupy space on my internal memory why?

when the application shows 2.3 mb data and 20 mb other data stored on memory card why my 24 mb internal memory occupied by firefox beta.
why is it so big when opera mini is so small and efficient.
is it works on downloading like ucweb does.

hello atuljains, unlike opera mini firefox for android is a full-fledged browser and contains its own rendering engine. firefox uses as little RAM and storage as possible but there are limits & its requirements are similar to those of other full browsers like chrome or opera (not the mini version).

  • How can I recover deleted photos from the internal memory???

    Hello,
I was using Sony Bridge to import photos from my phone to my Mac.
After importing.. the software told me it was successful and complete then asked me if I wanted to delete the pics off my phone.. I pressed 'yes' because my phone was full on memory..
After it was finished deleting I then decided to check my imported photos only to find they wern't even there?!??! It has created an iPhoto library.. but it won't even open and seems to be empty..
All the photos are now deleted off my phone and I can't seem to find them anywhere on my Mac. I have tried recovery programs with no luck.
    I am seriously upset :'(
Is there any way to recover them from my internal memory!??! :-(
Are they on my Mac??!! Because Sony Bridge told me they had successfully imported!!!

    Hi Natasha_L
I'm very sorry for the late answer.
I got a reply from the development crew today.
We tested it and indeed we were able to reproduce it in the case that the iPhoto Library has been migrated into the new Photo Library.
If that is the case, the user might be able to recover the pictures in the following directory:
    ~/Pictures/iPhoto Library.photolibrary/Auto Import
If unfortunately the pictures are not there, there is an slight possibility that they still remain in the temporary directory, as they are first copied there and then moved into the Auto Import folder. To search that temporary directory, the user can run this command in the Terminal.app:
    find /var/ -name "iphoto" 2>/dev/null
The problem will be fixed to BFM(4.1).
    Best regards
    Fredrik

  • NOKIA N 80 - GENERAL MEMORY FULL

Why does the mobile often state the message General memory full when playing a video or browsing, is the internal memory very small ??

I have this problem at times - I suspect it is a software issue, as my N70 did not have the same problems yet they both have similar internal memory if I remember. This latest release of Symbian is meant to be more efficient? Hopefully the next firmware release will solve this?
The N80 is meant to multi-task i.e. you can have a number of applications running at one time, which you can switch between, much like 'windows' on a pc. Saying that, have you checked to see that you are not running too many at once (i.e. you have started but not 'exited' the application - there is a practical limit. In particular I find that the web browser (not the services browser) simply eats memory, again this may be a software bug.....
(nb memory as in ram not physical internal memory)

  • 6680 memory full?

Here's my problem: My nokia 6680 can't receive tracks/songs sent via bluetooth from other phones... Sending is no problem... And receiving and sending smaller files(like phone numbers and small images), I'm not having any problems at all... Only when trying to receive larger files via bluetooth, this appears: memory full... When I know for a fact that there is more than enough space in both my phone and card memories... Need your help!

When big files are sent over Bluetooth, they end up in the Inbox of the Messaging app. By default it points to the internal phone memory (which is very limited).
To resolve, change the "Memory in use" setting in the Messaging app from phone memory to the memory card. This will move the Inbox from phone memory to the memory card.

  • 5800 Memory full... sigh...

I want to install Qt, because it may be the only functional piece of software that comes out of Nokia. Consider a Sony Ericson, or indeed a Gentoo build - installing an application will require a little research, but it will work. The 5800 seems simple enough, and indeed it is. If there's enough internal memory.
It's the latest of the millions of problems I have with this phone - the internal memory is full. Hardly surprising with the pathetically shrimpy 86MB inbuilt memory. Enough room for a few Nokia applications - you know, the ones that demand that they be installed on the internal memory, then fail to function properly anyway - Eg: Nokia maps (8mb), Ovi maps (7MB) (And for some reason, both need to be installed.)
Tell me if I'm boring you.
Qt needs to be installed on the internal memory and consumes a relatively "copius" 11MB. "Application mgr" lists a load of meaningless applications - I'm left terified that deleting any one of them with render the phone unusuable - not that much different to it's current state to be honest. Best stick to removing familiar applications.
The fact I must remove Nokia Maps to make room frustrates me, but nevertheless, I proceed to the "Application mgr" on a mission to make some space. However, as with all excellent quality software created by Nokia, there is a small catch. It seems that "Application mgr" requires memory to uninstall a program. Hence, with 61KB free on the internal memory, attempting to uninstall a program results in the ever-so-helpful "Memory low. Delete or move some data from C: Phone memory". Lovely.
The developers' ignorence genuinely discombobulates me. A paperweight, it seems, is the future of this "smart"phone.
It's seems I've paid £200 on a Nokia 5800 just for an excuse to rant about something else that's ruining my life.

All the applications that are on the internal memory according to application mgr
    Client Platform (286 kB)
    Contact Group DSPlu... (7kB)
    Download! (15kB)
    D!Replacement (1kB)
    Media DS Plugin (11kB)
    Nokia Maps (7MB)
    Nokia Ovi Provisioner (10kB)
    Ovi Contact (1MB)
    Ovi Maps (8MB)
    Ovi Map Wi-Fi/Netw... (130kB)
    Ovi Music (254kB)
    OviMusic Installer (1kB)
    Ovi Store (859kB)
    Ovi Store Client (485bK)
    Ovi Store Launcher (24kB)
    SeConUpdater (1kB)
    Service Controllers (80kB)
    Share location widget (31kB)
    SMS DS Plugin (16kB)
    Sports Tracker (910kB)
    Sports Tracker (865kB)
    Symbian OS PIPS Upgr (246kB)
It doesn't add up - there should be plenty of space free, and yet there is none. Maybe there's some cache folder with stuff in, yet browsing the internal memory via the file browser or usb reveils no such folder.
    Another hard reset, yay...

  • N81 Internal Memory Issues

    Hi
I have an N81 and currently save everything to the memory card however over the last week or so ive been receiving constant warnings that my memory is full.
Ive checked the memory and it says i have 128kb left. when i switch off the phone and back on again it says i have 166kb left and keeps on throwing the message back at me that its full.
Ive removed all rubbish off my internal memory and all messages, contacts, applications run from my memory card. When I look in my file manager it says there is nothing in my internal memory to move!
Can anyone help me with how to clear the internal memory please, will i have to reset back to factory settings?????
    thanks in advance!

Make a backup & do the hars reset or format to get rid of unnecessary files that get accumulated thru time that can't be remove in normal way. Press hold menu button for 2secs maybe there's apps running in the background when re-started.

  • N81 Internal Memory

Hi, i posted last month that my phones internal memory is full even though all data has been moved the memory card and all contacts/texts go there as well but i keep getting memory full warnings every couple of minutes.
Can anyone please help before i throw the phone under a bus!!!
Ive been in the application manager and moved all items to the memory card and deleted the rubbish and have even tried to reset to factory settings but that doesnt help! my memory says the following:
    25MB MEMORY IN USE
    94KB FREE MEMORY
    4KB CALENDAR
    33KB CONTACTS
    15KB MESSAGES
    0B IMAGES
Im confused as to why messages and contacts show here when they are on the memory card as well as the messages. How can i tell what the 25MB in use is when the file manager says there is nothing on the internal memory??
    Any help would be appreciated!!

Memory in use usually includes the OS as well as other functions, in your case as you are showing only 94Kb free, if you are certain that there are no apps running that are hogging resources, try backing up your personal data with PC Suite and reformatting the phone.
