  • Nokia Software Updater "internal module error"

    Hi.
    I'm trying to update a Nokia 5500 Sport from firmware 3.18 to 3.55 but I always get the "internal module error" after the download has completed. I looked at the log files located at "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Nokia\Nokia Service Layer\A\Logs". I get the same error all the time, but don't understand why.

  • Internal Module Error - When trying to Update N80!

    When i try and update my N80 it Keeps coming up with Internal Module Error. Anyone any idea what the problem is?

    Hi, I have the same problem. In another thread a user recommended me to uninstall Nokia PC Suite and then install only the Nokia Software Updater with the Nokia Connectivity Cable Drivers that come with it. I did that, and now I get the same "internal module error" immediately after it tries to recognize the phone. Could someone please help?
    Thank you!!!

  • Downloading Update Failed - Internal Module Error

    Trying to update my Nokia 6630, and each time it completes the 25mb download before giving me the error.
    Downloading update failes
    Internal module error
    Is this because my phone is a a Vodafone fone, and therefore locked by their software to some description? Or is it a more sinister (or simpler) error?

  • "Internal module error" in NSU - fix offered here!

    Just received this:
    Dear updaters,
    We have noticed some of you reporting the message "Internal module error".
    When installing Nokia Software Updater, sometimes the Microsoft XML4 DLL silent installation fails. This problem can be resolved by manually registering DLL. Go to Start > Run > enter "regsvr32 C:\WINNT\system32\msxml4.dll" > OK > OK.
    We apologize for the inconvenience.

    I wrote all my posts from 2005-2011 as an "Admin" for this community. I still work for Nokia as an external consultant, so my rank in all posts is now "Employee".

    It worked absolutely fine,
    Yes finally after a lot of effort and all the support from this site,, especially VAN...I have updated my phone firmware to the latest 3.0705.1.0.31
    yups i am dammn happy and express my gratitude to the help extended by the nokia team. hey VAN thanks again .
    now about the firmware i am sure there will be more updates to come depending upon the views of the people but just one thing that i wanna bring out,,
    the option of exiting the music player from the equalizer was nice, which is not included in this firmware and hence becomes an issue of debate, i feel that it was a good option and should be included in the next upgrade of the firmware.
    thx

  • "Internal module error" PROBLEM SOLVED ! ! !

    At least in my case.
    I tried to update my phone (Nokia E50, prod. code: 0536382) with NSU, but I always got the frustrating "Internal module error" message. I spent a whole afternoon trying. After several attempts without any success I accidentally discovered the solution. When the error message appeared again, I noticed, that the small USB icon right below the battery level indicator is gone - so is the connection. How to restore the connection? The NSU says, you should not disconnect the phone, so why the connection interrupts during the update? (I suppose that NSU does the download first and in the meantime nothing happens to your phone. During the download your PC may shut down the USB port to save power. When the download from the internet is done, NSU tries to upload the software to the phone, but there is no connection anymore.) After digging deeply through the Device Manager of my PC, I found an option that turns the USB port off after a while, to save power. That is where the connection goes away.
    So, do the following:
    1. Go to Device Manager;
    2. Under Universal Serial Bus controllers find the USB Root Hub your phone is connected to (assuming you use a USB cable to connect);
    3. Double click it and then go to the Power Management tab;
    4. Uncheck the option "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."
    5. Disconnect the phone, reconnect and proceed with NSU.
    You should be able to update the phone successfully.
    Good luck!

    So far the "Internal module error" problem seems to be connection related.
    Make sure, you have the Nokia Cable Connectivity Cable driver installed (the later the version the better), if you are using a cable. You may check it out in the Control Panel->Add or Remove Programs.
    You also make sure you enter the right Product Code when asked. The following link may help you clarify the fog around the firmware version number:
    http://www.noeman.org/gsm/showthread.php?p=104254
    It seems there are several versions. Check out the differences and upgrade only if you need it.
    As for the USB, in Device Manager got to Universal Serial Bus controllers, and double click every USB Root Hub. On the Power tab you may see the all the devices connected to the specific USB port. Let me know, if you find something out. Cheers.

  • [E2007] [EWS] [C#] Internal Server Error on Item.Update()

    I'm using the EWS API in C# with an onsite Exchange 2007 SP1 Server. I'm using the following code to tag a message using a custom property definition.
    //Bind to the message in question, which works fine.
    Item m = Item.Bind(service, new ItemId(itemid));
    //Define the extended property definition.
    ExtendedPropertyDefinition def = new ExtendedPropertyDefinition(MyGUID, "my-tag-name" MapiPropertyType.String);
    //Set the extended property to our tag which is a string
    m.SetExtendedProperty(def, tag);
    //Starting tracing, see XML snippet below.
    service.TraceEnabled = true;
    //Update the message with our new tag.
    i.Update(ConflictResolutionMode.AlwaysOverwrite);
    The issue is the server is throwing "Internal Server Errors' in response as shown in the trace below. Its not a general issue with credentials/autodiscover as I'm able to bind to messages and retrieve information about them without an issue.

    I would suggest rather then specifying your own GUID you just use the PublicStrings Guid from the DefaultExtendedPropertySet and that should work okay eg
    //Define the extended property definition.
    ExtendedPropertyDefinition def = new ExtendedPropertyDefinition(DefaultExtendedPropertySet.PublicStrings, "my-tag-name", MapiPropertyType.String);
    //Set the extended property to our tag which is a string
    m.SetExtendedProperty(def, tag);
    It looks like your server is only running SP1 RU4 so you are a fair way behind on patches so you might want to look at updating.
    Cheers

  • IPod internal manager error--can't update--professional help please!?

    I want to update my iPod mini. I connect it to the computer. It says I don't have the latest version of the iPod updater (though my computer says I do, and I know I downloaded it a few weeks ago). It says click here to update. I click, and then a message pops up that says "iPod internal manager error" and I can do nothing. Nothing! No update for my iPod.
    This "iPod internal manager error" problem is addressed here: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301907 but the suggestions there have not helped me. I have checked repeatedly and know that I have both the current version of iTunes and the current version of iPod updater. I remain perplexed.
    Can somebody solve this once and for all? I want to update my iPod!
    Dell Inspiron 9300   Windows XP

    Okay, so my iPod has done this twice now, so it must be a pretty common problem. Once plugged into my computer, it goes into a black and white Do Not Disconnect screen and iTunes fails to recognize it while my computer still does. Reading these discussions, I found a POSSIBLE quick fix for others with this prob that has to do with reformating your iPod. It erases everthing on it, but at least it starts to work again. Here goes:
    1. Open your Ctrl Panel thru the start menu.
    2. Switch to "classic view" if it's an option on the left.
    3. Double click the icon "Administration tools"
    4. Double click "Computer mangagement"
    5. Click "Storage" followed by "Disk management"
    6. Find your iPod's listing
    7. Right click it and choose "Format"
    8. Select "FAT 32" instead of "FAT" and start the format.
    So pretty much this is only a solution if when you get to step 8. you find out that your iPod is on "FAT" format. Hope this helps anybody with this same prob!!

  • Error 103 when updating software (Garageband and Apple Loops 1.0)

    My Macbook Pro (retina) keeps recieving an error(102) msg when trying to update the software that contains Garageband and Apple Loops 1.0

    Paul,
    I think what is happening is, that the update you are trying to install is meant for the new Mavericks compatable version of GarageBand - GarageBand 10.0. When the download finishes, it cannot be installed properly, because GarageBand 10.0 is not present. With GB 10 installed, these instruments download with no problem on my mac.
    GB 10.0 is free on Mavericks - so, honestly, download and install GB 10.0 in addition to your current version. Let it download and install additional instruments and loops, launch it once to let it rebuild the loop index, then ignore it. The application does not need much space, and perhaps you may want to use occasionally the automatic drummer or the Arpeggiator. Before downloading GB10.0, make a backup copy of GB '09, just in case the installer should try to overwrite it.
    After GB 10 installed the additional instruments, search for all places with installed loops in the system library and rebuild your loop index.
