Internal orders - real vs statistical

Hi,
How do we distinguish real vs statistical internal orders, is there a indicator to determine the kind of posting to an internal order.
if anyone can provide some examples it will be helpful ,

Icreated an IO , it gives me the below msg when posting a JV , can anyone help me to fix this

Diagnosis
The current status of object 'ORD 400000' prohibits business transaction 'FI: Postings'.
Procedure
To process business transaction 'FI: Postings', you first have to change the status of object 'ORD 400000' to allow the transaction 'FI: Postings'.
This gives you an overview of the system and user statuses that affect the transaction. A transaction can only be executed if there is at least one status that allows it and there is no status that forbids it.

In the Master data of Internal order, you need to select the check box - "Statistical Order". Other than this there is nothing specific to be configured.

Internal order real means, it will post against the budget. If it is statistical means, it will not affect your budget and also this activity not belongs to your budget level.

Statistical posting to Cost Center using Statistical Internal Order

We have a delivery transction in SD which used both a statistical order and cost center as account assignment objects. However, in the cost center report, the amount was shown in the statistical portion of the report. Why could have happened? Shouldn't the item be shown as a true posting?

When you post to an internal order and cost center one of these is statistical
When you say the internal order is satistical then you have actual cost on costcenters. When the internal order is not statistical the internal order get the actual cost and the cost center statistical.
In the fieldstatus group from the internal order you can make the field statistical requered. When you want only to have statistical cost on your internal order.
With CO-PA it is an different case, see the other reaction on this. But then it is better to use profit center accounting for reporting.
Note SD is posting sales (sales cost) and there should no reason to post it on a cost center

Internal Order - control data tab

i have an io that has cost center as statistical . so anything that posts, is first posting to the IO and 2nd posting statistically to the cost center. If i want to change the cost center, i can do that on the assignment tab BUT that cost center doesnt update the control data tab--which is where the stat posting goes.
is this something that can be changed or does a new IO need to be created?

To change the cost center in the control tab of internal order master apply OSS Note 198036.Note that the cost center given here have the real postings and the internal order have the statistical postings.

Project stock "Q" and Internal order

Hy,
we are trying to use the Project stock indicator ("Q") for make-to-order ; the Project stock seems to work properly.
We are also trying to insert the "Internal order" and we modified the "Q" account assignement category to add the 'internal order'.
In the Purchase order we insert a 'real' internal order and a 'statistic' wbs.
When we make the good receipt we have only a CO posting to the 'statistic' wbs but do not have any CO posting to the 'real' internal order.
Can someone help me to solve this point?

Hi Gianmario,
What you can try is to change the consumption posting indicator in the account assignment category from P to V. But I am not sure how the system then behaves in combination with special stock Q.

Order: 100219 (stat. order): Actual: 8900 Plan: 833.33 Abs. Var: 8066.67 Var(%): 968
how should I understand the report?

Internal Order 100219 is statistical order. Under cost element 500000, actual expenses posted are 8900 against planned values of 833.33. The absolute variance is (8900-833.33) is 8066.67

Internal Order with 241 movement

Hello Expert,
We have FG stock which will be used for captive used, hence need to be capitalised. We can issue FG to Assets by 241 movement, but we track the Capex budget by internal order. 241 movement does not reflect on Internal order budget.
Secondly. if we issue FG to Internal order, we are not able to settle the IO because order is Statistical.
Please guide.

Create a Statistical IO and assign in the asset master - Field "Investment Order" in the ORIGIN TAB
The Object Class of IO must be INVESTMENT...
Aassign Budget in IO using KO22
Do the config in T code ACSET to post to IO automatically whenever the Posting happens in the Asset (Field EAUFN must be selected in ACSET for APC postings)
The Asset APC account must be made as Cost Element (Category 90)

Real internal orders to statistical

Hi Sri,
Go to transaction code KOT2_OPA and double click on the order type, i guess you are using order layout, if so click on the button "field selection", which take you to another screen, scroll down and you would find a field "Identifier for statistical order", for this field select the radio button under Input, this would allow you to select the Statistical order button while creating the internal order.
For changing the settlment profile to 90, would not allow you to settle the costs to any object. Please keep in mind, if you have orders with balance, changing the settlement profile to 90 would not allow you to settle the costs to the receiver and the order would always balance and this might impact your reports.

Real and Statistical Internal Orders

Sincere apologies. My client only posts to Internal Orders with WBS elements for planning and budget perposes. The client wishes to monitor expenses for particular members of staff who are entitled to financial benefits. In order to benefit from avaiabilty control it was suggested either to create an real internal order for each member of staff or alternatively create a statistical order to do this with costs updated in the operational order. I believe the second option in not possible.

Statistical Internal Orders - How can i charge to multiple cost centers

In the master data for the statistical internal orders, I am only able to enter one cost center in the 'Actual Posted Cctr' field. Is there a way to have multiple cost centers and the allocation % for each cost center (similar to the settlement rules on regular internal orders)?

Hiya,
OKB9 works by assigning multiple Cost Centres to the Company Code + GL combination. However, I don't believe OKB9 is your solution - for the simple reason that you wish to post the information to multiple CCtrs, along with posting it to this Statistical IO.
In my opinion, you may have to delete the Actual Cost Centre assignment and, at the time of document posting, assign the True CCtr as well as this IO, or look for a User Exit that will trigger flows to multiple CCtrs along with this IO.
The other option is to make this a real posting to this IO (change the IO from statistical to real), and then settle this cost to multiple CCtrs. As long as it stays statistical, you don't have the liberty of settling the cost.

Statistical Internal Order on a Purchase Order

Hi,
We are trying to use a statistical internal order on a purchase order along with a real cost center. But we are unable to get the internal order to show up on the FI documents being posted using goods receipt.
Purchase Order has been created with 'F" (order) as the account category. On the account assignment tab we have maitained an expense cost element & real cost center & statistical internal order.
Internal order master data has been created with just the company code and object class as OCOST.
Please let me know what we are doing incorrectly and how can we have the statistical internal order show up on the FI document.

Hi Venkat,
Statistical Internal order doesn't work if GL account used is not a cost element. You need to make your GL account as cost element. If the respective GL account doen not need to be cost element then you can make it statistical cost element with category 90. In this case it'll not ask for CO object or it'll not create any error or issues.

Asset Postings on Statistical Internal orders

Hi
Is it possible to see asset transactions on a statistical internal order? I have assigned a statistical order on the asset master record but can not see the acquisition and other asset related postings on the order. Of course in all the postings there is a real CO object.

I have used all the reports in Internal Orders including the one you suggest and what is happening is that all the cost elements that have been posted to are displayed in the report, but the asset statistical cost element shows no values. Even when you click on the amount field and call up another report e.g. actual line items, which is what I think you meant by break up report, there are no values shown.

Plan data on Statistical Internal Order

Dear gurus,
Presently we have real internal orders for the projects but now we are diverting from real Internal Order to Statistical Internal Order. Before we use to plan data on the real internal order. My concern is by changing the IO to statistical, would it impact on the Plan data? How can we approach the Planning data in the statistical Internal Order?
Also while creating Statistical Internal Order, the system does not allows to select Plan-Integrated Order field. What is the signficance and by not selecting this field, this does impact the plan data on the statistical IO

Diverting to Statistical order,system will not allow you make settlement. if you need only for information purpose, then u can adopt the statiscal order.
System will not allow to select statistical indicator & Indicator for Integrated Planning. you will only select one option. u can only select with real indicator
by selecting the "Indicator for Integrated Planning"activity inputs planned are updated
directly on the sending cost center if 'Integrated planning with Cost Center Accounting' is activated in the version. You can then also settle plan-integrated orders/projects to cost centers.which only possible with Real order
