Internal processing Vs external processing with in the networks under a WBS

Dear Gurus,
please give an over view about internal processing Vs external processing with in the networks under a WBS element ,
is there any different process for creating reservatios & PRs in both the above ?

I think for internal processing the procurement indicator willbe 140 (when PR is not required) & for external processing the procurement indicator willbe 130 (when PR is required)

I can't see my external hard drive on the network. I have a WRT160NL router with USB. I plugged the drive in the USB and set up a share in the router config.

Did you map the drive? It won't show up in Explorer automatically like a jump drive or an external drive plugged directly into the PC will.
You didn't mention the OS you're running, but what you want to do is choose "Map a network drive" and you'll see the router listed as a network device. Click on it and you should see the external drive listed. You can map it from there.

While creating the networks under WBS it's giving error

Hi experts,
i am not able to create the network under WBS element. while creating the Networks it's asking Scheduling type under scheluling tab. I tryed giving with backwards and forwards options, after press the enter it's says"The factory calendar does not exist (contact system administrator)". I am facing this error..
Could anyone please help on this....

Hi,
Check if you have maintained a factory calendar in the following;
1. OPSA - For project profile
2. SPRO --> Enterprise structure --> Defintion -> Logistics General -> Define, Copy, Check plant. Check the factory calendar for the plant.
Ensure the calendar is created and defined in your system.
Also, maintain scheduling type in OPU6 T-code for the network.

I want to share my external hard drive over the network

I found a lot of threads and discussions about this, but no answers.
I have a WD My Book External Hard Drive that I'm looking to share over the network. However, when I add the volume to the "Shared Folders" or even a folder within the volume and the "Users:" are grayed out.
When getting info on the volume, Sharing & Permissions says, "You can read and write"

Backup my external hard drives through the network.

I have a small network at the house. Three computers hooked up to the airport extreme router. Then I have a usb hub connected to the input of the router. To the hub I have 4 external Maxtor 1tb hard drives. Everything works beautifully.
I would like to have two of the external hard drives back up the other two externals.
I tried time machine, special software, Maxtor sync manager nothing works.

I'm having similar issues to that. I have a Maxtor 500GB external drive that I would like to be able to attach to my Airport Extreme and access it that way. I am part of a three computer home network, but I'm the only one running Leopard, and I want the other two computers to be able to use the drive for simple drag and drop backup, rather than TM. However, after much searching, I haven't really got anywhere in figuring out how to set it up. How did you set up your drives going through the network?

How can I spread the processing demands across the network?

I read that it is possible to spread the processing demands for transcoding etc across macs networked to the main workstation.
Is this true and, if so, how is it done? Thanks.

Using external mic with iMac 27 i7 under bootcamp with Windows 7

I've recently got myself an iMac 27" with the i7 upgrade. I'm running Windows 7 Professional 32bit for gaming (Snow Leopard for everything else). I have a headset with two 3.5mm plugs, one for the headphones, one for the mic. I can't get the mic to work (headphones work fine though). I plug it into the line in port (as it's the only other port when the headphones are plugged in) but this doesn't work.
Does anyone know how to get this to work?
I read somewhere that the headphone port on the iMac is a "triband" port, so would work with the headphones provided with the iphone that have 3 bands on it (stereo sound and mic) or something similar...

Two things to try, first make sure your Win7 disk is spotlessly clean, my superdrive regularly spits out even slight smudges. then if that doesn't clear it up here is a maintenance tip with the reset:
As old as your iMac is, have you cleaned out the dust? Dust buildup can lead to over heating issues. Remove any and all things plugged into it including the power cord, Remove the RAM access grille. Vacuum all openings starting with the RAM access area (air intake). Vacuum all ports and plugs, DVD slot and the opening across the top of the rear of the body. Blow compressed air through all your openings and vacuum again to remove any dust you loosend. Reinstall the RAM grille. Plug in the keyboard and mouse if not blue tooth. Insert power cord...

HT4356 Has anyone else found that after ios7 download, my HP 5520 AirPrint printer is now listed with all the networks that my ipad can see. This means that I have to change networks to the printer in order to print.

After downloading ios7 my printer occurs in the list of wifi networks. In order to print I have to go to settings and "join" the HP 5520 network. Then, when I am finished, I have to return and re-join my router's network.

Under a normal Airprint configuration, the printer should be joined to your primary wireless network as a client. That way, you should not have to switch networks to print (print data goes from iPad => router => printer). If something has changed in your configuration, you may need to set your printer back up to rejoin your network. You may find the troubleshooting portion of the following article helpful:

2 External Monitors with the T430s with Intel HD4000

I have read several multiple monitor threads but could not get a clear solution to this.
Model: I have a T430s with Intel HD4000 graphics.
Desired set up: 2 External Monitors + Lenovo LCD
Problem: It seems that I can only drive one external monitor. I'd like to drive two external monitors, as I did previously with my T420.
What I've tried: I have a dock and have tried VGA + DVI for the external monitors, as well as DVI + DVI. Neither setup has worked. It always greys out the third monitor in the Windows Display options.
Any thoughts on how to drive two external monitors with the T430s? Clarity is appreciated. Thank you!

Ensure the default (linksys) SSID name is changed. Ensure that different SSID names are used between each WiFi 2.4/5Ghz radios for dual band routers. Can be anything and not something that's already in use by any neighbouring WiFi routers.
What wireless modes are you using?
Try Mixed mode, single mode G or N or mixed G and N on 2.4Ghz and single mode N or Mixed on 5Ghz?
Channel Width set for Auto 20/40Mhz or try 20Mhz only.

Router Placement

2 External Monitors with W520 Laptop?

I'm running Windows 7 / 64 bit on my Lenovo W520 laptop.
Is there any way to connect two external monitors to the unit and have them show independent screens from Windows?

Workcenter - The network has no costs

Hi ,
while calculating the cost for the network, ' The network has no costs' mrssage is given by system. How to overcome this error ?
Wht is the methodology thru which system can determine cost incurred on the workcenter I wants some examples ?
Is it get updated in planned cost for the project ?

Kindly check in the Costing Tab of the Workcenter which u are referring in the Network Activity.
In the Costing u need to maintain the valid Controlling area , Cost center , Act.type.Int.Processing (Key identifying the activity type used in other types of internal processing in costing like networks) and Formula key for costing (Key which refers to the formula used to determine costs per activity type).
Unless these are not maintained cannot get the Actual costs(not planned).
Based on the hours (planned) mentioned in the workcenter , work to be confirmed(CJ20N/CN25/Cn27) to convert the planned hours into costs.

Windows computers on the network disappeared from the browser

I own a macbook pro 10.6.4 and in the office we have an imac and 7 windows 7 pc. Till last week I could able to see all the computers on the network under "Shared" and able to connect them. Office printer is shared via one of the pc thats why I cannot add it to use. I can connect them with "connect server" by using their ip or names. Also I can only see imac under "Shared". How can I be able to see all the computers under "Shared" again and add the printer. Thank you.

nothing. all the computers except imac disappeared suddenly. it happened once a couple of weeks again but it lasted like a day.
