Internal sales employee number range

Dear experts,
Under the same client in SAP system, different company codes can NOT have different Internal sales employee number ranges in the standard SAP, right? In other words, only one number range actiavtes for all the company codes as long as they are against the same client.
Plz corret me if I'm wrong. Many thanks.
Example:
log on SAP - client 800
client 800 has 2 company codes: 1001, 1002
Request:
sales employee under company code 1001: 10xxxxx
sales employee under company code 1002: 20xxxxx
ps. Currently HR module is not applied to client 800. Two years later, HR will be applied.

Hi,
It is possible with userexit NUM_NR_ORDER
ask abaper to add the fields like company code
thanks,
Rahul

    Dear experts,
Under the same client in SAP system, can different company codes have different sales employee number ranges? If yes, should I just activate the number range? You know, there's no number range assignement to company codes.
    Plz help. Many thanks.

There shouldn´t been any troubles with different number range. You have to be sure that you have the different number range create in PA04 and that in feature NUMKR you asign a diferent number range to each employee subgroup. For example, if you have number range "01" for sales employees and number range "02" for the rest of employees, your feauture must be something like this:
    Numkr
       Employee Subgroup
            SE (sales employee)
              01
            else
              02
After you activate the feature it should work ok, if everything is done correctly in PA04 and in the feature.
If it´s not working I am not sure what could be happening.
    Hope I can help you.

  • Sales employee number

    Hi experts,
    Plz help. Many thanks.
    Background:
Sales employee is created without HR. Meanwhile, sales employee is created as customer in FI module. To avoid showing different number for the same sales employee in COPA report, FI consultant requests that sales employee number is equal to his customer number. You know, sales employee's name is not showed in the report.
Q: Considering more than one company code will be created or HR module will be applied in future, any better solutions?

  • Sale document number range

    Dear all,
I've a small issue with sales document number range. I create a range 01 from 1 to 4999999 by tcode VN01. But when the first sale document is created, the system gets the number 1000001 & assign to this sale doc. (Not 1 as usual). Do you know the reason why ?
Thank you very much for your help,
    Regards,
    Tweety.

Go to VOV8, select the sale document type and execute.  There ensure that this 01 is assigned to Number range int.assgt
If not, maintain 01 and retry to create a sale order.
    thanks

  • Unconstrained Plan looking for Internal Sales Order Number in Workbench

There is a column under the Order tab in the Supply/Demand form in ASCP that is titled INTERNAL SALES ORDER. The assumption is that this would in fact be the internal sales order number from the supplying inventory organization. However it comes in null. For all internal orders. Is there a profile or a checkbox that enables this field?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hello,
In 11.5.10, this field is not used at all. In R12 it is used in distribution planning.
    best regards

  • For sweden the employee number range is completed Eg:23000000 to 239999999 now how to generate next employee id

For sweden the employee number range is completed Eg:23000000 to 239999999 now how to generate next employee id

    Hi Bharathi,
If required no ranges are not there which you want to add then will not be problem and you can extend the 23999999 to your next limit like 39999999 check the overlapping.
Check extended no rage are present in the system and then system would not except because of overlapping.
    Check and tell.

  • Sales order number range

    Hi all,
When we save the sales order, One number will generate based on the sales document number range, client requirement was based on plant sales order number should be generate. So what are the configuration i have to do this?

    Hi,
I would recommend what JP has mentioned in a previous thread.
But be very careful when you develop such an enhancement. Plant is in the sales order line item table (VBAP) But the sales document number (VBELN) is in the sales order header.
Imagine you have a sales order with 2 line items. One has "Plant 1" and this other line item has "Plant 2". In that case, how does your enhancement generate a number for your sales order? Either you should not allow users to create a sales orders with different plants in different line items (One sales order can have one plant)
Else the best way is to take any other combination in the sales header (VBRK) to design the solution. (Like Sales Org)
    Thanks and best regards,

  • SD Sales order number range external

Normally it is possibly to have 1 internal and 1 external number range for a type of sales order.
For setting the internal we found an userexit MV45AFZZ  FORM USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE .
Who knows an userexit or something else for external to use 2 external number-ranges for one type of order?

    Hi
You have chosen the right userexit. You have to create a ZTable and maintain the different number ranges - eg., different number ranges for different sales organisations. In the table you have to specify the number range to be used aganst the sales organisation. During order creation, the system picks number from this number range from this table when the userexit is triggered.
    Thanks,
    Ravi

  • Internal and External number ranges

    Hi,
If we have already created an internal number range and posted few SA documents. Then can we change the internal number range to external number range or vice versa(i.e external to internal number range)
    Regards
    Adnan

    Hi Kalyan,
Thanks for the information. but just now i have tried changing the external number range to internal number range. It was successful. But i was not able to change internal number range to external number range
However, when i changed the number range from external to internal i had to also change the current number (so that the document numbers already posted should not conflict)

  • Change from Internal to External Number range for customer account group

    Hi,
We would like to change the number range assignment for a customer account group from internal to external. The external number range assignment check box is greyed out as a few numbers in the range have already been used up.  We want to do the internal to external assignemnt change, create a customer of a specific number, and revert the range back to internal assignment. Is this possible?
    Appreciate your help.

    Hi,
    Please do the below steps:-
    (1) Go to XDN1 and click on "Maintain status" button. Note down the current status and change the status to zero. Save.
    (2) Again go to SDN1 and click on "Maintain No. Range" button, and change the no. range to external. Save. (if that number range is maintained for multiple years, then make it external for the first yer and for the subsequent years, it will become automatically.)
    (3) Then create your customer with specific number.
    (4) Then go to XDN1 and click on "Maintain No. Range" button, and change the no. range to internal. Save. (if that number range is maintained for multiple years, then make it internal for the first yer and for the subsequent years, it will become automatically.)
    (5) Again go to XDN1 and click on "Maintain status" button. Maintain the current status as the number noted down in step (1) above. Save. (In case number created in step (4) is greater than the number notes in step (1), maintain the number of step (4) in current status.)

  • Sales order number range skipping..anyone faced this ????

    Hi all ,
We have perculiar problem where Sales order document numbers are
skipping/ jumping inbetween around 200- 250. And it is recurring.
Anyone faced this problem ? Does any one has any clue on this ?
    we are in ECC 5.0
    Thanks in advance.
    Kb

This is happening due to buffering in number range. If you write the same to SAP OSS, they will let tou know the note no to be refered to, which will resolve the problem.
