Internal server error in Requistion create - E-rec 600
Hi All,
We are in process of upgrading the 4.6c to ECC 6.0. E-rec 600 installed in the same box (server).
We wish to use the Requistion management services for creating the RR via the BSP's through WAS.
I assigned assigned manager role (SAP_RCF_MANAGER) to user1 and assigned Recruiter role (SAP_RCF_RECRUITER) to user2
When I run the requisition maintaince application REQ_MNT_LST from user1 and assigned the requistion to the recruiter (user2) every thing goes well.
In the step 9 (creating job postings) the system fails to go ahead and throws exception - Internal server error.
We have already activated this bsp service in tcode sicf and roles are assigned properly.
Is there any additional settings we need to do in spro for Job postings or any more settings in sicf ?
Please help !!! Any help in this regards would be highly appreciated. points assured. Thanks for any inputs in adavance
Regards,
Anil Kumar
I would fear that the Internal Server Error is an indication of a more serious error. Have you checked if this is generating a Short Dump (Transaction ST22)? You need to determine the actual root cause of the error, as the Internal Server Error is rather generic. You should also consider opening a support ticket on this error as this sounds more like a support issue.

Problems logging in (Internal Server Error) / How to create workspaces
Hi,
I created a new group yesterday at Beehive Online and the provisioning was said to take up to 24 hours. My group's users already got the group confirmation mail yesterday but neither they or me (the sponsor) can log in to Beehive Online - we all get the Internal Server Error when trying to access workspaces. Do I need to create the workspaces somewhere else before the link on the front page works?
Also, when I use the User Admin tool, the page says "Getting Your Groups" and "Initialising..." after which nothing happens - no groups or users appear. Have tried the latest Firefox, Google Chrome and IE7.
Am I missing a step here?
Regards,
JoonasJoonas,
OK, spotted the issue - the system uses a linux shell script to provision the users/ groups etc. and the "/" in the name is confusing the system into thinking it is a directroy marker.
I will adjust the name to remove the / and you will be good to go. I will also adjust the provisioning system to remove this type of character from the group names.

ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION, HTTP 500 Internal Server Error, in Receiver soap A
Greetings All,
In my scenario i am calling external service of SFDC using receiver soap adapter but i am facing below error in the response.
ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION, HTTP 500 Internal Server Error
I am creating the soap structure/envelope using Java mapping since need to add additional parameter in soap header.
I am setting the URL in java UDF using parameter TServerLocation.
In comm channel checked "do not use soap envlope" also set the format to text/xml using MessageTransformBean.
The service was working fine when tested in SoapUI tool.
Looking forword for your help and will be appreciated.
Thanks,
SandipHello Sandip, I hope you are doing fine!
I`m not sure if you are using a sync or async scenario...
The behavior that you describe is the expected behavior for SOAP receiver adapter in nosoap mode, asynchronous case.
The explanation that lies behind it is that in nosoap mode the bahavior is just similar to pure HTTP communication. An HTTP 4/5 error received from the target server is treated as HTTP internal error and logged into AFW as an error. The message in an asynchronous scenario without acknowledgements is normally seen as successful on IE side as it is successfully sent to the target system. It can be even successfully consumed by the target webservice, but for amo other reason, the HTTP request from SAP PI to the target system returns HTTP 500 error.
If you ask for system delivery acknowledgements, you should get a non-successful delivery acknowledgement.
In synchrnous scenarios, when a response is expected, the behavior is different.
If this is a sync scenario, there is an official patch released on the service marketplace. SAP Note 1533195 is released.
In addition to deploying the patch, apply the additional configuration steps. As per this note, for the default module
sap.com/com.sap.aii.af.soapadapter/XISOAPAdapterBean
you will need to set:
Module Key = soap
Parameter Name = noSOAPMakeSysErrFromResponseFault
Parameter Value = false
If you need to bypass the HTTP errors in the communication with the target system, you need to apply note 1055678.
To apply it, just add for the default module
sap.com/com.sap.aii.af.soapadapter/XISOAPAdapterBean in your receiver
channel, Modules tab the following:
Module Key = soap
Parameter Name = XMBWS.NoSOAPIgnoreStatusCode
Parameter Value = false
If you need any SOAP fault related behavior or any other SOAP related feature, you should setup the channel to run normal SOAP mode, since as already mentioned nosoap mode is used now.
In addition, check note:
856597 - FAQ: XI 3.0 / PI 7.0 / PI 7.1 SOAP Adapter
section "1. Sender Connection"
Q: I get a server error "500 Internal Servler Error" from the
adapter's servlet. What went wrong?
and get the trace to give you more details of the error.
One more thing, VERY IMPORTANT.
I STRONLGY recommend you to update all XI-PI components to latest patch available in the Service Marketplace. Thery are:
XITOOLS, XIESR, XIAF, XIAFC, MESSAGING, XIGUI. Some of them might not be present depending on the release of you system. e.g: 3.0, 7.0, 7.1
I hope this helps you.
Cheers

Error 500--Internal Server Error while trying to create a new DataModel
Infrastructure_: OBIEE 11.1.1.5 on 64 bit Linux (RHEL)
Issue:* We get Error 500--Internal Server Error whenever we try to create a new data model in BI Publisher.
Details:* We installed OBIEE 11.1.1.5 on 64 bit Linux machine. Whenever we try to create a new data model in BI Publisher, the page errors out with the message
"Error 500--Internal Server Error, From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
10.5.1 500 Internal Server Error
The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request"
Edited by: user9544005 on Dec 29, 2011 7:02 AMHello,
I would prefer local language instead of US english.....
My tips.
1. DID you tried to Not apply the UDO/UDF things?
2. Do not log in to the database, start from
3. Please post the error message itself....
4. If you are running on MS SQL 2005 server (not express) , You can start SQL profiler, and monitor the New Database creation.... you will see in profielr where is the error message and which tables / data is missing.
If i know well,
When you create a new company, the SBO-COMMON database is used to deploy the new database....
If you get stock, reinstall your sbo-common from the last applyied patch..... (Detach SBO-common, move the files another directory, and start upgarder.exe).

500 Internal Server Error while creating expense trip
Hi,
We have recently applied the following patches in the system:
SAP ESS 600 SP13
SAP MSS 600 SP13
SAP PCUI_GP 600 SP13
Now we are getting the following 500 internal server error on clicking 'Save and Send' while creating Expences from the portal.
The error is happening to a few users in the live system. We are not able to re-create error in the Dev or qas environment. There is no ST22 dump for this error.
The error is as below
Root Cause
The initial exception that caused the request to fail, was:
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.repository.RepositoryRuntimeException: Cannot create object with the name com.sap.xss.tra.fc.costassignment.FcTraCostAssignmentnullUsage and rolenameComponentUsages because it already exists.

at com.sap.pcuigp.xssfpm.wd.FPMComponent$ComponentUsageManager.createBLCComponentUsage(FPMComponent.java:759)
... 62 more
See full exception chain for details.
Any Help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks and Regards,
pinkiHi Pinky,
This error might be due to some data error.
Complete all ur process steps just before "save and send" button.
You activate the trace using transaction ST01 (only RFC checkbox checked).
Now press "save and send" button. Go to ST01 session and switch the trace off and click on "analysis". it will give you the RFC's which are executed on predd of "save and send" button. apply break point in these RFC and check if it is filling any exporting parameter for error messages. Then try to get root cause of error. most of the time RFC error message on portal comes in the form of a dump.
Thanks

Error when creating data model - Internal Server Error
When trying to create a new Data Model in BI Publisher (11.1.1), we are getting a “Internal Server Error” message and the page to create data models wont display. We are able to login to BIP with any user, but we cant do anything else… (seems due to a null pointer exception, as shown in this message):

Then, we get this errors in sawlog0.log:

This same error repeats for files webcatalogsoaphandler.cpp and localwebcatalog.cpp.
Access to SOAP is explicity granted to BISystemUser (via Manage Privileges ) and we haven’t changed any security policies…
Any ideas why this is happening and how to solve it?
Thanks in advance.

Cannot POST to create schedule - (500) internal server error
I am trying to create a schedule using Raylight and Restful Web services using a post to
http://xxxxxxxxxxx:6405/biprws/raylight/v1/documents/6385/schedules
when I do I get an error
'The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.'
I suspect its to do with ports being open and closed as our system has all ports locked down by default and we have to get them opened as we find the need.
Has anyone any idea as to where or how I might be able to find details of ports that need to be opened or services that need to run with specific ports rather than automatic ?
Any help much appreciated as this is fast becoming a major stumbling block - we keep fixing one thing only to find another, unfortunately we are newbies to the SDK as well as newbies to 4.1The request is being made to the following Uri where 10781 is the document CUID that is having the schedule added :-
"http://bc0boapp01.uat-tpplc.local:6405/biprws/raylight/v1/documents/10781/schedules"

Any ideas of this? We still don't know what caused this whole trouble from yesterday, is it possible affect the storage emulator just by code? We were coding, not configuring anything. Strange.I have tried it before, but not works.
Finally, I solved this issue by delete LocalDB instance, uninstall storage emulator and install LocalDB instance / storage emulator again, it works now. Quite strange. -
