Internal Software Error: Has This Been Fixed in CS3 Yet?

I am one of many that is unable to use the 'Export to Encore" function of Premiere Pro CS3 because when it loads in Encore CS3, I get this error:
I've tried upgrading to CS4 but my system works better on the CS3 package. I know hundreds of people have reported this issue over the years as I'm finding tons of topics about it all over Google (with no real solutions).
Has Adobe fixed this issue for CS3 folks like me yet?
Thanks!

>assuming that the new version is to heavy on my resources
Since you don't describe your computer... any reply will be a guess
But, for CS5, go read the results at http://ppbm5.com/ to see how your computer compares

  • FPGA An internal software error has occurred. memory write

    Hi everybody
We are encountering an error during compilation of an FPGA VI. It is probably related to our use of FPGA block memory. We have a non-timed while loop that is reading from an FPGA host-to-target FIFO and writing into block memory (inside a sub-VI called z_scan_write.vi). In another loop (this one is timed-loop), there is a subVI called we z_scan_read.vi, inside which we read from the block memory.
Does anybody have an idea what is going wrong and how we could avoid this problem? Thank you very much in advance for any hint!
The full error message is as follows. Note that it refers to the above-mentioned two subVIs z_scan_write.vi and z_scan_read.vi...

Removing the two subVIs that read from/write to the block memory doesn't avoid the error showing up during compilation. The error details are obviously different now; they don't refer to the two subVIs (mentioned in the previous post) anymore...

  • Adobe Reader saved tax forms are unreadable by Adobe Reader. Has this been fixed?

When I file my tax deposits it gives an option to "view and save as pdf". In February this would only work if I installed Adobe Reader on my mac so I did. None of the saved deposit records from January thru May is readable. I discovered the problem in June and just sent the pdf to the printer software which then saved it as a pdf.
I didn't find out about it until I tried to read one of the saved deposit pdf's and got Adobe's arrogant little error message that blames everybody else for the problem.
    Has this defect been fixed?

When you you finish filing a tax deposit the IRS software provides  a list of options for keeping a record of your work. One of them is 'View and Save as PDF' which has the Adobe logo and invokes Adobe Reader. When you click on it, it displays a nicely formatted page showing the transaction you just filed.
When you go to the Safari file menu and click on 'save as…' it asks for a file name and all that and seems to work just fine. But the file it stores has nothing in it.
It used to work just fine. I have been using the view and save as pdf feature since 2008. The same logo the same messages, the same process.
In February of this year when I clicked on the logo it told me I had to load Adobe Reader in my Applications folder. So I did. Everything looked and felt exactly the same as before and I assumed it was working. The only difference is that it now stores empty files. I didn't discover it until I tried to read one of the files and got the message from Adobe Reader.
I am using the same version of the mac os as before; the only change was the one to add Adobe Reader to the applications folder.

  • Writer initialisation error !  has this been resolved in CS3

I can not encode a wmv from CS3 (since installing CS4) without getting the "writer initialisation error " message.
Has there been any resolution to this issue or any one know a fix.?
I do not wish to continually export an avi then create a wmv from that in Adobe Media Encoder(CS4) or MS Media Encoder.
I know that works but the workflow is time consuming ,tedious and in efficient when all I want is "quick and dirty" preview wmvs direct from the timeline as I used to be able to do.
Sidenote.  This forum setup  continues to be dire and unpleasant to use since it changed !.  Anyone having any sort of decent experience with it?  (How?)

    Thanx.Hunt
After posting this morning, I discovered another little workflow that may help someone in this situation.
The CS4 Media Encoder (standalone) will import a Sequence from a CS3 Premiere Project and export whatever...
This at least saves the intermediate "Movie" File.
Simply Add the Project to the A M Encoder and choose the sequence. (surprisingly...it works!)
I guess that will have to do meantime.
re the Forum...I have deliberately stayed away until now because of the frustration involved.  Only popping in on occassion to see if there are any signs of a CS4 update/fix/repair.  (I do not use the CS4 Premiere component at all now and wait patiently to see if they can even repair it at all)
I do not know how anyone has the patience to come here and contribute while this site is in such a state!

  • InDesign CS5 crashes when variables copied: has this been fixed in CS5.5?

Can anyone let me know if this bug has been fixed? I haven't had a reason for upgrading but if this is fixed then there is a reason! I am using variables all the time now, and removing variables then replacing them after I have copied the text they are in is really timewasting.
    Thanks

OK, I just made a new blank file in CS5.5, and defined a custom text variable.
The second link seems not to be related, but the third one was pretty clear.
To test I made a text frame and filled with placeholder text, then inserted the varible in a random position. I tried both copy and cut and I can paste to another location in the same file, paste as a varible into a new ID file (it brings the defintion with it) and paste as plain text into Notepad Word 2000 and Excel 2000 (apparently I hate the 2010 versions so much I didn't install them when I upgraded the hardware a few months ago).
I'm on Windows 7, so I can't swear things will work for you (can't swear they will even if you are also running win7), but the indications are that the functionality is here without crashing. You might want to make a backup image of your system in it's current state (so in case things don't work out you can get back easily) and install the trial for CS5.5.
That said, I figured I ought to verify that there was a problem in CS5, and at least for me there is not. I am able to repeat the above test without any issues in version 7.0.4 and in CS4, version 6.0.5, as well so Im more inclined to think there is either some Mac-specific issue (I think the other users were on Mac, and you haven't said) or there is some other problem that is configuration-specific, probably a software conflict of some sort, on your system that is affecting you and that this is not really a bug.
If you post a sample file somewhere that you create that crashes and put a link here, I'll take a look at it and see if it also crashes here.

  • Database sync error? Has this been fixed?

I've been stuck in an endless loop getting a message "DBCW/assertTheDataBaseFileIsUnchange- Database" upon trying to save a file.
I created a .muse file on a network, and now when even trying to create a file locally, I get the crash message.
This has been a known issue for a while I believe. Is there a remedy for this, especially if the server and local clocks can't be synced.
I believe the only workaround so far is to save into my C drive directly, and not to the desktop?
    thanks

This remains unresolved. At this point, for the server configurations where this error occurs, the only workaround continues to be to move the .muse file to a local drive. While working off a local drive will always be faster than working directly on a file on a file server, we recognize some customers have established workflows that work directly on server-based files. We're continuing to work on, and thoroughly test, a solution.

  • Mail will not show individual messages, has this been fixed yet??

    Greetings everyone,
Finally downloaded Yosemite on my Mac, and had been warned about mail issues... but I did it anyway.  Now the mail app opens and all of my mailboxes are there, but it says "no message selected".  I see that I have new messages (from Gmail and also a Yahoo account), but am unable to access them.
I can compose and send, but cannot see what I sent after I hit "send" on the email.
So very frustrating, was hoping there would be an update/fix by now....?!??  Searching for a fix has been just as frustrating, it seems that everyone is experiencing different types of bugs.
    Appreciate the help!

I've seen this issue too a few times. And found a "solution". But first, describe the problem:
Launching Mail, it will download new mail, but never shows any messages in any mailboxes.
Try to close the mail Message Viewer or Quit the app, and it hangs with beachball.
Force Quit and re-launch the Mail app and still can't see any messages.
SOLUTION: Log out and back in again, and Mail behaves normally.
After Force Quit, sent the crash log to Apple a few times ... so maybe they're working on it.
If you have this same problem and have to Force Quit, try sending the crash log to Apple ... lots of these will get someone's attention.
I'm guessing that some behind-the-scenes process (responsible for showing mail in mailboxes) is crashing or caught in a loop.
    Logging out/in restarts that process.
But haven't had time to investigate further yet ...

  • A while back I down loaded the up grade to Firefox4, it would not work on my MacBook 10.4.11 Has this been fixed?

The Firefox 4 will not work at all on my Mac Book 10.4.11
it stated it would not support this older version is there any plan to make it compatible? or do I just have to wait until I buy an newer Mac Book?

As far as I know 4.0 is not supported on 10.4 and on 10.5 the Mac must be running on Intel. From the number of problems on reported on the now defunct feedback site, it would seem there never was decent checking that should have warned immediately.
Here is the first Google hit I got for '''firefox 10.4 10.5 requirements'''
and it is in this forum and has the answers in the first reply

Does anyone know what caused this problem? Thanks in advance.

    Hello Kb1126,
To better be able to answer your question could you please share what RIO device you are working with, the RIO device software and any relevent Xilinix tools versions, as well as the possible version installed on your RT target (assuming you are using a RT controller to interface with your FPGA).
    Thanks,

  • Domino 8.5.3 iNotes "send not sending" in Firefox 3.6, has this been addressed in ver. 9 ?

According to IBM Domino iNotes support, the Firefox failed to use the cached signed script, from Domino 8.5.3 iNotes, - signed script also could not be executed at that time, therefore the message was unable to be sent out. - Has this been fixed in Firefox 9 ?

    In a word, no.
See http://www.pinkmutant.com/articles/Leopard/leospot.html for starters and my mod to Finder's Find at http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20080229204517495 for what you can change so you can find stuff excluded by the default structure. Do note that my mod no longer works in Snow Leopard, further crippling Spotlight searches.

  • LabVIEW FPGA: An internal software error in the LabVIEW FPGA Module has occurred

    Hi,
I am trying to build a LabView FPGA VI. During compilation, I always get error stating "LabVIEW FPGA:  An internal software error in the LabVIEW FPGA Module has occurred.  Please contact National Instruments technical support at ni.com/support".  At the time, comiplation process is almost at the end.  "Final Timing (place and route)" shows as completed. When Checked the Xilinx log session, at the end it states that "  Process "Generate Programming File" completed successfully". However, I do not see any generated bitfile.
When clicked on error details, it shows following:
    LabVIEW: An unknown error occurred.
Error -2629 occurred at Error occurred while loading XML string. Invoke Node in niFpgaXml_PrettyPrint.vi->niFpgaWriteBitfileXml_Core.vi->niFpgaCompileWorker_CreateBitfile.vi->niFpgaCompileWorker_JobComplete.vi->niFpgaCompile_Worker.vi:6460001
    Possible reason(s):
    LabVIEW: An unknown error occurred.
I tried multiple times but so far no luck to generate bitfile for this VI.  What could be wrong here?

When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive.  It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas?  I'm wondering if restarting the computer might help but have been afraid to do so in case it would make it harder to recover anything...I was looking at this thread https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4211589?start=0&tstart=0 in the hopes that it might have a helpful suggestion but it's definitely a different scenario.
