Internal Speaker sound like DISTORTED

Hi All,
My MBP 15" 2008 started to giving me problem. This time - Internal Speaker sound like DISTORTED! No matter what genre of music, what software i play from even iTune, it just distorted. Though, the volume cut down to 50%, still can heard that distorted sound. I don't know what's the issue suppose to name as ~ distorted? Crackle? ...
I've try to reset PRAM & SMC ,with no luck. Software updated and restart too, No Luck.
Can you help me? Thanks!!

Not a usual complaint. Is it just one speaker or both? If the former, it would probably be a hardware issue and may have to be replaced. If the latter, considering what you have tried already, I would suggest a OS reinstall (this is just a guess on my part). Consider an appointment at an Apple store genius bar. It is free and they may have a definitive answer for you.

My right speaker sounds like blown only at the startup sound

I was recently cleaning up my macbook pro 15inch Intel Core 2 duo 2,4 Model macbookPro 5,1 and used onyx. After onyx finished its work it restarted the macbook and the right speaker sounded like blown. I played some music but the speaker was playing clear. I formatted the macbook and installed the same OS x but still the blown sound on startup remained. I upgraded to mountain lion but still the speakers sounds like blown only when computer starts up. I have cleanded the PRAM, PMU, fixed disk permissions but still is not going away. I am pretty sure is a problem of the software or something that onyx did to the system but have no idea what it is. anyone has an idea or something?

Speaking sounds like a Roboter Voice

My New iphone5
Sometimes the Voice Sounds like a Roboter while I am talking. I restarted the phone and also tried to reconnected ist with iTunes.. What else can i do?

I'm running the sound through a behringer mixing board, but it doesn't have any effects on it. I'm just running it from that through to the input in the mac. Don't have any other audio interface.

So you have tried the PRAM reset?
Look inside the audio output port and see if there is a red light. If so, the internal switch is stuck. Try the following:
Insert the earphone jack a few times.
Blow in the port real hard.
Take a toothpick and jiggle it inside the port.
If no success, make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar.

Have iMac with most recent OS and all updates are installed.
Internal speakers work on everything except iTunes?
Have Apple TV, and Bose Bluetooth Speaker...plus a few other Bluetooth items(all turned off and still no connection)?
Tried everything suggested previously in other discussions to no avail.
Is there a fix out there?

If an AirPlay device is selected for sound output from iTunes, deselect it.

Bluetooth Speaker Sounds Like Phone

When I pair a Braven 600 speaker to my mid-2012 macbook air, it sounds telephone quality. When I pair the same speaker to my older MBP or iphone or ipad or connect it with mini cable, it sounds normal. How do I get the macbook air to think it's a speaker and not a phone? Thanks!

It appears that you're having issue with the speakers, that the left seems to have "blown". I would like to assist you with this, but first require some additional information.
If you could please provide the following:
Model and Product numbers for your notebook.
Operating system currently installed.

My MacBook Pro internal speakers sound like they are playing through the headphone jack, why is this? How can I fix it?

Periodically, the sound from my MacBook Pro speakers cuts out to where it sounds as if I am just blasting music through a pair of headphones. The start up sounds and even some normal sounds coming from my computer are at the regular balanced speaker level. I sometimes use external speakers and have not had this problem with them. This has been happening more and more lately, and for longer periods of time. I'm running 10.7.5

What frame rate/frame size/codec did you record?
How did you transfer it into FCX?

No internal speaker sound

we have no sound from internal speakers but we do when connecting to headphones. any ideas?

is a red light shining out from where you plug in the headphones? If so, the internal toggle switch is stuck and things the headphones are plugged in even though they arent. Rapidly insert and remove the headphones to flip the switch back. This happened yo me once and this worked.

After latest up date, that took 3 hours, I an no longer hear the speaker, sounds like broken

every time I update something fails to work and and I take it in to Bell who are kind enuff to fix it. this time, unable to figure out whats wrong, So much for trying to support one of the few Canadian companies left.

I have also submitted feedback to Apple about this, as I think they have rendered Calendar all but useless by stripping out the ability to set sound cues, and to specify the lag time when hitting the "snooze" button. I completely agree, this is a serious and unprofessional messtep to remove a core function as though it were a trivial feature of the software. I've been a loyal Apple consumer for two decades, and this really makes me angry.
I am hopeful the wonderful people at Apple will restore this function with the next update to the OS.

Distort noise coming from internal speaker

I just purchased my first iMac about 3 months ago and just today while listening to iTune the speaker made a stranger cracking sound and now all audio on the mac sounds like distortion. Does this sound like a broken sound card?
I restarted the mac and even the loading sound is the same "distortion noise"

This beeping plagued me for months and months, driving me insane. I tried to find a solution on the Internet; however, all I found were many people complaining about this random beeping noise from their HP laptops. A couple of times the beeping stopped for a few days, but then it would come back. But almost three months ago it stopped for good (I hope)! I didn't do anything--it just stopped. WEIRD. You seem to be one of the more informed users, so I would like your opinion. I took my iPhone to an Apple store because the speaker sounds like crap (statics out like it's blown) when playing any kind of music with a heavy sound to it (like Nickelback or Linkin Park), especially guitar ...regardless of the volume level and I can barely hear anyone on speaker phone while in my car. The reps at the store assured me that the speaker is fine and demonstrated similar performance with their iPhones. They offered to replace it anyway, but I declined since the speaker sounded just like theirs. Is it just me or is the speaker on the iPhone extremely disappointing to say the least? My wife's Black Berry sounds awesome compared to my iPhone. Does your phone have a weak speaker or exhibit the same performance when playing loud music?

Iam using HP Pavilion g6 notebook for the last 14 months. Internal speaker sound is having some issue sound vibrate . External speaks are working with out any issue.

I have read your post on how the internal speakers of your notebook computer vibrate when active, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
To further diagnose the sound issue with your computer, I recommend following this document on No Sound from Speakers (Windows 8). This should help with the playback on your system.
Since this issue occurs strictly when the internal speakers are used, I also suggest testing the audio hardware components by following this document on Testing for Hardware Failures (Windows 8). This should help test the functionality of the speakers on your computer.
