International Buyers trying to pay with PayPal

I've had a number of customers contact me that they are having problems purchasing. The common factors seem to be that they are International and trying to use PayPal to pay. One person I was able to get working by having her sign in to Adobe using the same email that her paypal email was. Two others said they had used the trial version and wanted to buy, but got so frustrated they quit trying.
Another said they would try again today using a credit card... here's what she said "I  think the problem is that PlaySpan (whatever that is) is grabbing my IP address and its telling paypal I am in Panama - which physically i am - but my adobe acct info and paypal info are all US addresses"...
Is there a solution or a way to make this less of a hassle for international customers? About half the people who want our app are going to be outside the US.
Also, is there no way I can manually purchase a license for someone?

Hello I jumped in this thread because I am having a big issue with trying to pay with my paypal account too.
I reside in Mexicali Baja California and my address in my paypal account is from here also.
I have tried purchasing software with my paypal account and I get an error message stating that this payment method is not available at the moment.
I have contacted customer and sales service about 100 times and all they say is that it must be a problem with my paypal account. I am certain it is not, do to the fact that I have purchased items from that account with no problem what so ever.
I do not like nor use credit cards I only use my paypal blanace for all my online purchases.
I really need the software for my job and am really frustrated as I can not seem to get any help.....
Any input would be soooo appreciated.

    I'm having problem with paying with PayPal on eBay. When I choose to pay with PayPal there's no option to pay without topping up or by credit card. I'm sure i have enough money on my acc. Do you know how to deal with it?

    Paypal is not available for use on the iTunes Store in all areas. Change or remove your payment information from your iTunes Store account (Apple ID) - Apple Support. If you don't see it then it's probably not available in your area.
    If you don't currently have a payment method on file, you won't be able to buy something that's greater than your remaining iTunes Store credit balance. If you do have a payment method set up, your store credit will be used, and the remaining cost will be charged to that payment method.

    PayPal is an option in the US iTunes Store only. If you're in another country, that's not an available payment option for you.

    To add PayPal as your payment method for the iTunes Store, you will need to update your billing information on the computer.  You can update your billing information in iTunes following these steps:
    Changing your account information using a computer:
    Open iTunes.
    Choose Store > Sign In.
    Enter your Apple ID and password, then click the Sign In button.
    Choose Store > View My Account.
    Enter your account password, and click the View Account button.
    To update your name, billing address, or payment information, follow these instructions:
    From the Apple Account Information page, click the Edit Payment Information button.
    Edit the information that you would like to change.Note: The payment methods that the iTunes Store accepts can be found in the payment type section. If you do not want a payment method on your account, select None in the payment type section.
    Click the Done button once you've updated all of your information.

    Hi,i'm glad to see that Spotify is now avaible in Germany.I would like to use the Premium Membership, but if i try to pay with PayPal i still needa credit card. Why is it not possible to use PayPal without a credit card, but with a "normal" bank account?

    a store totally full up with stuff you really want, but can't buy in any method. Even phne the online assistance can not make a 150 thousand baht sale to me because no way of accepting the money. Seheez if my online store didnt take paypal that would be 20 thousand bucks a month less for me.. and im an individual entrepreneur.. just imagine how many hundreds of millions of dollars apple would make if they had paypal!

    over the past few weeks i have been in Home Depot and they have an option to pay with PayPal so today i decided to try to pay with my paypal account since i had some funds in there at the time,   When i clicked on the option it asked me for my mobile number and PIN  where do i set this up here at PayPal,   I found an older article that said to go to www.paypal.com/anywhere but all it gives me is the option to send me a PAYPAL Debit card.   any help on this would be great. ThanksEd

    Thanks for reaching out to us here. Do you have the PayPal app? This is the easiest way to set this. If you do not, here is more info on where to get it: https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/mobile-apps
    Once you download the app, just go to your settings (the gear in the bottom right). There you will see "Mobile Number and PIN", once you click this just enter your number and select your pin.

    Paypal isn't available in the U.K. - but you might pay via your BT phone bill or through Click&Buy.

    I have used Fromscentral for a long time now and it's really working fine but I can't find a solution for a simple problem I'll try to explain below.
    Ok, My students can check which subscription they want :
    1 art class 25€
    3 month subscription 250€
    6 month subscription 500€
    When they have made that choice (only one) they can proceed and pay by Paypal.
    But what happens if they want to pay their subscription at the studio in cash or if they want to wire the money on my bank account?
    Well, it's not possible to select either of those two options and by doing so inactivate Paypal.
    That's the problem.

    In this scenario, I would suggest you to create another form for the cash and wire payments. This form can be embedded to the current form you have, students who wants to pay via cash or wire transfers; they can click on the link and fill their application separately.
    Unfortunately, it is not possible to disable Paypal; using the conditional form elements.

    I have tried to upgrade to Premium over and over and over and over and over and skype keeps telling me the transaction failed when paypal seems to have no problem with my account at all. What gives? I am about ready to start an anti-skype campaign over this! Especially since there is no option for telephone or live chat support.

    Yes i am beside myself, usually they debit my account and no prob for 1 month now i try to pay even manually thru paypal which worked for years and it just goes to a blank page and i dont know why??? there is no chat line or ph line i can speak to a person to resolve. i feel they are making too much money and have gotten greedy and consultants have advised them to cut costs to make even more money, this is tantamount to the same greed that is wrecking the world right now.     I only have an Australian credit card with the billing address listed there.  How do I pay using that particular card?

    Unfortunately, this particular link is very US-centric, and doesn't really help someone in Indonesia.  Is it really only possible for me to contact a 1-800 number in the states in order to get assistance on how to purchase a Creative Cloud Membership?   Not blaming you, just wondering why there is not some email address that I can contact to get specific help?  As I am still trying to purchase Creative Cloud - does Adobe really not want my business?

  • Used wrong payment method when paying with PayPal account!

    Hello, Okay so I bought tickets on StubHub and when it asked me how I would like to pay, I checked my PayPal account. But it never said which payment method from PayPal it would charge. I have my PayPal Credit as my default payment method so I assumed it would have been my PayPal Credit account that gets charged. But now I see that a hugh amount was debited out of my bank. I wanted to use my PayPal Credit account to pay because it's such a hugh amount. My question is; can I transfer the payment to my PayPal Credit account and get the money credited back to my bank account? I would like to pay incrementally and I can't afford to give up such a hugh amount all at once. I'm afraid I'll have to cancel the payment if I can't do that. Please help!!! Thanks!
