International - Can't find previous region
Hello there,
I changed the region at System Preferences>International>Formats by mistake and now I can't find the previous location.
The previous one was set to "Argentina (English)" and now I can only find "Argentina (Spanish)"... This changes some preferences that I would like to have as before....
Any ideas?

No, before the currency (yes, under the formats tab) there are other options:
Region
Dates
Times
Numbers
Well, I changed the region by mistake, (it used to say "Argentina (English)") and when I wanted to put that back I only found "Argentina (Spanish)" which changes the Dates, Times & Numbers format.
Hope this is clear, english is not my language.

I have no clue what you mean. If you downloaded the audiobooks in iTunes on your computer or of you transferred the audiobooks from the iPad to iTunes via the transfer purchases feature, the books should be in your iTunes library,
If you are looking to download them again in the purchased section of iTunes, you have to buy them again. Audiobooks cannot be downloaded again for free. They are not part of iTunes in the cloud.

IWeb can't find previous pages after transfer/reinstall

I recently got a "new" (read: my husband's previous) MacBook Pro and lost some of my files/folders due to a problem during the transfer. I had to reinstall iWeb and now it won't find the pages I had created and published previously with it. The pages are in their own folder (SuzWebPages) as I had to manually restore them instead of letting the computer copy everything over. When I open iWeb, it can't find the pages. I have looked through other help topics on this and tried moving the SuzWebPages folder to the iWeb folder in Home Folder/Library/Application Support/iWeb and renaming it to a .sites2 file, but iWeb still doesn't see the folder/site/pages and opens with the choose a new page screen. When I right-click and choose Open With on the actual pages, iWeb is grayed out.
I went from Yosemite 10.10.1 to the same version. I had to reinstall many programs which did not transfer or were corrupted, such as MS Word, Safari, and Mail, but all were able to find my previous files although none retained my information.
Any suggestions? I can provide any further information needed.

The file/package you need to have for use with iWeb is called Domain.sites2. The folder containing your published webpages is of no use with iWeb.
If you still have your old Mac go to your Home/Library/Applications Support folder and look for the iWeb folder. It will have the domain file you need. Copy the iWeb folder to the same location on your new Mac and launch iWeb.
Otherwise you'll have to rebuild your webpage from scratch. If you have to do that I suggest you switch over to a new web development application as iWeb has been discontinued for about 2 years.
One app that many have migrated to because it is so like iWeb in its user interface and how it works (but with many more features) is EverWeb. There's a 30 day demo version that you can try to see if you like it. To recreate your website with it you can copy text and photos from your existing site and paste into the EverWeb version.
For other potential iWeb replacement apps search the iWeb forum for "iWeb alternative" or "iWeb replacement".

Help! I had purchased RED 2 in a blu ray combo pack with Digital Copy. I downloaded the movie to my now dead computer, and it included iTunes Extras. I can only find the extras file in my new computer with my id. How do I get my previously purchased goods back?

Whether you can redownload the film depends upon what country that you are in, whether the film is still in your country's store, and whether the studio allows redownloading. Does it show under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage for redownloading ? If not, and if the film is still in your country's store, then is it hidden : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919 ?
If you can't redownload it then you will need to copy it from your backup of your downloads/library that you should be keeping and maintaining.

Can't find previous downloads in iphoto

I have a new camera and once I download pictures from it to iphoto I can see them fine in the 'last import', but not anywhere else (e.g. last month, photos, events). I've since done other downloads and the previous downloads are now gone, can't find the photos anywhere, but I can see the newest download. What is going on?

Select a pic in Last Import and Right-Click on it. Choose 'Show Event' from the menu. This will bring you to the Event containing the photo.
If the photo is in Last Import, then the photo is in the Library somewhere, just not where you expect it to be. Usual causes: the date on your camera is wrong, and so the date on the photo is wrong, or the sorting of the Events has changed (View Menu -> Sort Events)

I can't seem to find my previous and old purchases in itunes 11. I have just downloaded itunes 11 to my new laptop and I have autorized it, but still I can't find my old purchases and listen to them. I have also enabled the iCloud thing in preferences. What do I do?

I have the computer authoirzed, so there is no reason I can find that I shouldn't be able to. Frustrating that a relativity simple issue can't be answered.

Time Machine can not find previous backup

Please help. I have done a full backup on Jan 26, but I can not find this date in the time travel window and Finder. I haven't change the user name. It just somehow has gone. I sure that the files should be somewhere inside the hard drive since it has taken away 60 GB. What can I do?

Can't find previous subscription

I have had a monthly subscription to Ghana for the last year or more, 400 minutes per month. My last payment was refused and now I can't find the subscription anywhere. Does it still exist? Why does it no longer show up on the site? I can't even access it through my billing etc.
I need to call my family!

I have the same problem. I've been with SKYPE for several years with a $17 per year subscription to the UK (landline only) - it's now disappeared as an option. I don't want to have 300 minutes per month and call mobiles - just happy to have my 75 mins per month to a landline in the UK. Why the massive upgrade and "premimum" only option SKYPE???

If you are trying to see your purchase history then you should be able to do that on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View My Account (Store > View My Apple ID on iTunes 11) drop-down menu.
If you are wanting to re-download past purchases then not all content types can be re-downloaded in all countries (e.g. music, films, tv shows can't be re-downloaded in all, and audiobooks and ringtones can't be re-downloaded anywhere), but what you can re-download whould show in the Purchased tab in the iTunes and App Store apps, and via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.

Where can I find previous Firefox versions?

After leaving it for a while, I'm now trying to attempt to update my Firefox 2.0 on my Linux EeePC, having no idea what I'm doing. (Fed up of not being able to access various sites with an out of date FlashPlayer)
I've been warned not to use Firefox 4 on my system, but can't find 3.6 anywhere now. It might not solve my Flashplayer problems, but I'm going to need something better than FF2 before I even try. When I try to "check for updates" though Ctl- Alt- T it says that no updates are available so I need somewhere that I can download it and then do all the fiddly stuff that comes with having a netbook with Linux...

Upgraded to Lion and can't find previous backups

I upgraded a Macbook to Lion from Snow Leopard. The laptop had been on time machine backing up to a time capsule for about a year. Then when I fired up the laptop it wan't backing up. So I went into the "Time Machine Preferences" and it asked me to select disk. When I selected disk it wanted to re-back up the entire computer. It didn't recognize any of the previous backups.
Does anyone know how to keep the previous backups in the time machine so I can look at the older files still if I need to?

The User/Library folder is now hidden in Lion. To get to the "user" Library folder you now have to access it from Finder>Go>Go To Folder.
Once there, type this: /users/(your administrator name here)/Library/

Archive and reinstall - can't find previous system and want to delete

I just did an archive and reinstall with OS 10.5 and now am running out of disk space. I've been trying to find the "previous system" folder but can't locate it with finder. Any ideas?
Is it in the system folder? What can I delete without killing my computer?

Can I find previous screensaver word of the day words?

I really need to find a word that flashed up on my screensaver the other day and I can't remember it. Is there a way to search for previous words? There are usually 5 a day that pop up over again on a loop. Its on the screensaver "word of the day" but there is not just one word there are several each day. Your helps would be sooooo appreciated. 15th February 2012.

consuetude, ravening.....just change the date of your computer (right top: Date & Time Preferences) or -left top under Apple menue :system Preferences - system - Date & Time) to the 15.02.2012.
Then go under: left top Apple menue :system Preferences - Desktop&Screensaver - Test -
and you´ll see or just wait until screensaver switches on....
dont forget to put the actual date back!

Time Machine can't find previous b/u's?

I've been using Time Machine to perform auto backups since Feb 2011. I recently started getting a message saying something like "Time Machine needs to recreate your backup. This could take approximately six hours". Since I haven't had time when the message pops up, I turned off Time Machine auto backups.
Now when I turn it back on, the Time Machine prefs windows shows "no previous backups" and appears that it wants to do a 168gB backup , even though Time Machine works normally and can go back to February 2011 in Finder and in all apps.

The backup can be corrupt.. you are on Lion so this is no surprise. Are you backing up over wireless.. it would be much less of a surprise.

Can't find previous itunes file after moving info to an external drive to move library to new computer!!! HELP

I have moved my itunes files numerous times to new computers as I get one. This last time I had everything running off an external drive, to conserve hard drive space on computer and hopefully from computer failure. I need to move library over to new computer and get away from old computer that has Windows XP to the computer with windows 7. After installing itunes on new computer and plugging in external to new computer, it finds all music and movies, etc., however, I can't seem to find the file that has the playlist info, play count, and to see where the backups of my iphone(s) are. I have been working at this for days to no avail. It may be right in front of my face but can't see where to find it. HELP!!!!
