International Keyboard/Print Explosion 3 text

Having found that special characters can be obtained via the International Input source (Welsh),I have been able to use the vowels which have circumflexes by
using the Welsh optional Keyboard. All of them,i.e.â,ê,î,ô,û,ŵ, and ŷ, work well with all programmes except in Print Explosion Projects, where for some reason ŵ
and ŷ appear as ∑ and ¥ respectively.
Nova Development, who produced Print Explosion, have since been acquired by another Software Company, and the product is no longer marketed by them, or any support available. Can anyone suggest why this should happen and how it can be rectified?

â,ê,î,ô,û These ones are available from every keyboard.
_ŵ, and ŷ_ are unusable in AppleWorks because they are not mapped in the characters coded between 0 and 255 (decimal format) $00 thru $FF (hexadecimal format).
ŵ is coded $0175 , pasting it in AppleWorks give: "?, and ?"
and
ŷ is coded $0177 , pasting it in AppleWorks give: "?, and ?"
So, I think that Peggy is right, this product is not linked to AppleWorks.

  • International keyboard with Norwegian layout - possible to remap some keys?

Hey, I have a MBP OS X 10.6.8 with international keyboard that I have selected a Norwegian layout on, since I need the special characters we have in our language (æ, ø and å).
My question is - is it possible to remap just SOME keys/characters while in this configuration?
The keys I need to remap are:
< to ` (so I can do Command-` in programs to change windows)
´ to ' (because I use the standard apostrophe)
Any way to do this in OS X, or maybe with other software? Thanks for any help!

    Some possible options:
+Use system preferences/language & text/text/symbol and text substitution to create shortcuts
+Use Ukelele to create a custom keyboard layout
    http://scripts.sil.org/ukelele
+Use the US layout and type your special characters using the built-in alt key shortcuts

Note:  Standard apostrophe is alt + @ on the Norwegian layout (alt + \ if keys are printed for US layout).

  • Print Explosion on Snow Leopard

I am using Print Explosion Deluxe 3.0.2.8. It worked great on my computer until I installed Snow Leopard. Now it runs as slow as molasses, with beach ball spinning 20-30 seconds every time I enter text or photo on a greeting card. I have been in contact with Nova on email & phone. Tried every thing they said (shut off all other apps. & start up items) with no change.
This same Print Explosion still works great on my old iBook with Leopard OS.
Suggestions welcome, otherwise I am ready to give up.

Print Explosion Deluxe 3.0 ran just fine on Leopard. Once I upgraded to Snow Leopard it began crashing whenever I tried to print either a previously saved or a new project.
I've contacted Nova Software Development Support back and forth for several days now. One of their techs had this to say:
+"Hello, Thank you for contacting Nova Development Technical Support.+
+We will forward your feedback to the appropriate department for review. As of this time, there are still no updates or patches released for this version of the software running on Snow Leopard. Once an update is available, it will be posted directly in our website."+
However, another tech that has responded to me a few times insists that the problem lies with either the Mac and/or the printer and not Print Explosion. Never mind that despite following their instructions the program still crashes. Her suggestions have included:
closing down all other other programs, updating printer software/drivers (there were none), uninstalling/reinstalling the printer, disbaling the firewall which I did though I told them that would be like checking the tire pressure because my car won't start. Afterwards I put it back on. None of things made any impact. I uninstalled/reinstalled Print Explosion and updated to 3.0.2.8 but no fix there either, still crashing. Here is what this tech claims:
+"Hello, Thank you for contacting Nova Development Technical Support.+
+We advise for you to uninstall and reinstall both the printer and the software. The program works on Snow Leopard as it is working in our computer. This only happens when there is conflicting program in your system with the Print Explosion. We also recommend, disabling your firewall."+
Funny thing, I never had to jump through any of the hoops to run the program when I was on Leopard. regardless, she just doesn't get it and I believe is deep in denial.
I also provided her with these links of other dissatisfied customers who can't run it on Snow Leopard and I see Apple isn't even selling it on their website anymore.

  • HT4509 Password Problem - International Keyboard

I have a big problem, I've entered an international character using the international keyboard as my password in my ipad 2. but when I locked my ipad 2. I realized that there is no globe thingy in the lock screen. what should I do? Please help me ...... I put this question in all category, because I need fast answer, sorry. please don' be irritated.

    Hi Mickaela02,
I have an iPad 4, which only has the option of a four digit number to get past the lock screen, but anyway I hope this helps.
As I live in the UK, (and I don't pretend to be an expert), I thought I would add that I have noticed that when I want to type text into any 'on-screen text box' on only some, but not all, US websites (particularly Symantec/Norton Account) using the keyboard on my Windows Vista PC - or ANY other device - that the keyboard characters @ and ", are swapped around even though I am actually pressing those characters on the physical keyboard.
By this I mean that if I should want to use the @ symbol then what is actually typed is the ", and when I use the " character, then the @ is actually typed on the screen.
I only know this because I wanted to use them in a forum on a US website and noticed that the text appearing was the opposite of what I had actually typed.
I don't know if this applies to the 'international keyboard', or to your situation. but if it does not , then I wish you more luck with whatever other 'help' you may get.

  • International keyboard replacement - iBook

Since I had a number of keys in which the letters wore out on my iBook I contacted Apple (I have AppleCare) They sent me a new keyboard all right ..... but it was the International version. After calling back, Apple reports this is the replacement and the orignal Querty keyboard is no longer available.
The International keyboard has another key in the home row, smaller return or enter keys. It's a major pain and `i find it unacceptable. I will never use the additional ±§ key. My short little right pinky finger can not reach the enter/return key without coming off the home row.
Anyone know where I may obtain another keyboard?

    hey cook...
i know what you mean about the keyboard. my ibook is less than a year and it's printing is already nearly gone. iv had the same question, but no one seems to know the answer. and i don't want to get a new board that is different with key positions. i don't even know where to file a comment to apple about the printing coming off so easy.

  • International Keyboard in US 1.1.1 Missing??

Being the research-driven Mac user I am, I am aware that UK iPhone update 1.1.1 includes an international keyboard. Having updated my own iPhone here in the states, I can't find any International Settings.
Are International Settings specifically excluded from US iPhones?? (If so, WHY?!) How does one go about adding/activating International Settings & Keyboards to one's iPhone?
There are plenty of us here in the states that don't speak English exclusively. =)

sorry for the delay in replying.
this is my method for Japanese input:
    safari
    www.alc.co.jp
(you will see a long text input box, site is all Japanese but it is near the top)
    tap select text box
    tap-type: test
let tap go or tap the kanji button for translate
    let page fully load
Then tap select text box, it will have the word "test" on it
Then your keyboard will come up but this time it has a rectangle above the slightly smaller keyboard.
    tap-type: W
You'll see W, kana for watashi, kanji for watashi, select one of the options and it will hover then input the kanji/kana/w into the text box.
Then go to gOffice for iPhone and type a Japanese .doc then email it or go to your gmail account or anyonline account and type full Japanese emails to your hearts content.
pushing the home button to go to another app will cancel this keyboard. However it you save the "test" result in your bookmarks then just reload, tap highlight the box and you have on Safari a full Japanese keyboard. It might work for other asian languages.
I have fotos but let me know if this works I can at will use this solution.

  • International keyboard set - flag set - Cannot use font in app

I've gotten the international keyboard selected and chosen the correct flag. I've looked at the Thai fonts via Font Book, they are all present... However, when I attempt to type text in TextEdit or Mail, the font used remains Roman.

Have you activated Keyboard Viewer? You do that just
like a keyboard layout. If you select Keyboard
Viewer from the flag menu, and set the flag menu to
Thai, do Thai characters appear on the Viewer? Does
typing in Keyboard Viewer with the mouse produce Thai
    or Roman in TextEdit?
Also if you go to Character Palette, Thai range, and
double click (or use insert button at bottom right),
does it enter Thai into TextEdit?
Keyboard Viewer - does not show any Thai
With a TextEdit doc open, using the Character Palette, does produce Thai text when using the insert button...

  • What input source for english (international)" keyboard?

I have a new MacBook Pro 15" with an english (International) keyboard layout. I can't find any input source that matches my keyboard layout in System Preferences > Language & Text > Input sources. US layout is close, but which one exactly matches my keyboard?

You should use US, US Extended, or US International PC.  They should all match your keyboard.
I am puzzled that you find the US layout to be just "close".  What is not correct when you use it?

  • Print/Save Selected Text to PDF

I want to use Mozilla Firefox very much for a long time. I like it because the UI is very clean, easy to use, the icon vey pretty. When I use in my Android Mobile, it is very easy and intelligent to select content of page site. Very good!
But I had to install Chrome instead so I've always been using "Print a selected content to PDF" but I couldn't find ways to do that with Firefox. Chrome is doing very good.
I searched all add-ons, pdf printer software but they are only saving or printing all the page (website) to PDF.
Please help me the ways to save a selected content to PDF. Thanks very much.

    - perform a NVRAM reset : About NVRAM and PRAM
    - perform a SMC reset: Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
    - perform a Safe Boot : OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode?
