International wifi iMessaging **with PHOTOS** -- still free?
Hi all, need a clarification:
While abroad and with a wifi connection, is iMessaging with another iOS user still "free" (ie, non-SMS and no roaming) if photos are attached?
Not sure if the inclusion of data-heavy pics changes the status of the otherwise free wifi-delivered iMessage sent from an iPhone in Europe to an iPhone in the U.S..
Thanks!

Phone stopped sending iMessages with photos
My Mom'z iPhone has quit sending text messages with photos. I've updated the software to 5.0, done a soft reset, and still nothing. I've hunted through the help/support/troubleshooting online files and found nothing to help. Before I make another 45 mile journey to the apple store, does anyone have a suggestion?
On the iPOd try going to Settings>Nessages and deleting/uncheckin your phone number

HD of 160GB with 70GB still free gives strange behaviours...
Hi there,
i bought my iMac (see below for details) about a year ago to make music and to feel comfortable in all the rest of the things i do using my computer...
since few weeks i noticed that recording music with Logic Express (software i'm using since 8/9 months) it was giving a lot of problem of stability, often giving me the message: coreaudio: Disk is too slow oor system overload (-10008), so i thought, now i'm going to freeze a bit of tracks here and there, and it worked fine..but now, even if i've frozen everything, i almost can't work with it anymore, i press play and it gives my in 1 sec the terrible message...
so, also for ather reasons i thought to buy on ebay an external HD of 250GB, and i hope this way i can give my mac magnificence back...
by the way, Logic Express is not the only program which feels the pain in the ***...even Finder gives i bit of more latency now...
my question is: is it possible that my mac, which has about 80GB of used space and 70GB of free HD, already starts to cry like a crappy windows?
i hope the trick is an external HD...
thanx for any feedback.
imac G5 iMac G5 (amb.lig.sen.),17inch,512MB RAM,160GB of HDYou might try running Disk Utility from your CD/DVD on the drive and see if it finds errors in the files structure. You may have corruption on your drive that the utility could fix.
Another thing to try is to run your hardware test which should also be on your CD/DVD and see if it reports any problems with the drive. Before doing that, and while in Disk Utility, check the SMART status of the drive. -
So I downloaded iOS 7 & recieved majority of my pics from my back up, it's been 2 weeks I'm connected to wifi & my photos still say downloading but they're not downloading what should I do? I'm getting frustrated
I took it off WiFi and complained on their Facebook page. I think their
salespeople telling folks to always stay on WiFi is their way of making
money! Take your phones OFF of WiFi, put Task Killer Advanced (google play
store - FREE) on your phone and hit that repeatedly during the day. It
will shut down the junk running in the background that loves to nom on your
data. The other thing I do is to constantly dump cached data from my
phone. We did all three of these things and we have only burned up .7 of
our 3GB limit since June 1st! Not even a whole GB in 19 days! Also,
remove all updates from every app that your phone came with (bloatware)
every so often. And shut the phone down every night after you run the task
killer and empty your data cache. Somewhere along the line I will learn how
to completely uninstall that darned bloatware and I will pass it on!
Let me know if this makes a difference for you!

L'utilisation de iMessage ou de FaceTime est-elle gratuite même si les 2 utilisateurs sont dans 2 pays différents ?
Does the use of iMessage or FaceTime still free, even if i send or call an iPhone user living in a foreign country ? -
I've been texting my friend with iMessage with wifi on and all of a sudden it changed to text message and won't let me send messages. My wifi is still on and working but it won't switch back to iMessage. Please help
What I recommend you try doing first is to turn iMessage off then back on. If that doesn't work, make sure that your Apple ID and password are correct. If everything seems correct and you still can't send out messages using iMessage instead of text message, I think you should either try calling AppleCare at 1-800-MY-IPHONE (1-800-694-7466) and/or scheduling an appointment at the Genius Bar at an Apple Store (that is, if there's one close to you).
Hope this helps! -
Apple is great!
Why is iMessage taking my incoming emails and then not making them available for my PC to get? Why can I not send a text msg with photos when iMessage is turned off (but MMS is still on).
I compose an iMessage with the destination as my email address and I attach 2 photos I want on my PC. I send them several times from my iPhone 5C but they never arrive. I look at my ipad later and realize that it's iMessage app is getting ( and swallowing) these emails. I then turn the ipad off. Still can't get the photos through because iphone is now getting them on it's iMessage. I turn off the iMessage feature and try to send photos from text msging. Phone tells me it can't send photos unless iMessage it turned on. What happened to regular MMS text messaging? I go and try to send photos as an email attachment and see that there is no option to attach from the stupid email program. I look up online to learn about the brave new world of apple attachments and send them.
Why is iMessage taking my incoming emails and then not making them available for my PC to get?
The email program on my iphone is not configured to remove messages from the server.
If iMessage is turned off I don't have the issue.
Why can I not send a text msg with photos when iMessage is turned off (but MMS is still on).Did not work. I've selected iMessage to ON and left it. After a few hours I recieved a message "activation unsuccessful. Turn on iMessage to try again". This has been going on for the past 3 days.

On iPhone, SMS messaging is required to activate FaceTime and iMessage for use with your phone number. Depending on your carrier, you may be charged for this SMS. -
My sprint service is off. How can I still use that number for iMessage with wifi instead of my apple id?
You can't. You can only use that number if you have active service.

I know Imessaging between IOS 5 devices is free, but when sending group texts to both IOS 5 phones and nonIOS 5 phones, is it still free to those with IOS 5? The text bubble is green.
According to Macworld it is a lowest common denominator situation. If any of the people on your list are not iMessage people then all the messages go out SMS and will count against your messages from your provider. Bummer IMHO, but that is the way it is.

I only have access to wifi, imessage started defaulting to green text message instead of blue imessage, thus they fail to send, I have turned off SMS and restarted the phone and the problem gotinues. Any suggestions?
iPads only support iMessage. You cannot send SMS with any of the native iOS functionality on it. There may be some apps in the app store that will, and certainly several messaging platforms (but read the descriptions carefully).

Problem with connecting to free wifi after upgrading to Windows 8.1 from Windows 8
Hi
I had problems with connecting to free Wifi after upgrading my PC(Notebook) to Windows 8.1 from Windows 8. As I travel a lot within europe, I am used to being able to connect to Free Wifi(those that dont need a key or password to enter) but soon after downloading
Windows 8.1 I almost never was able to do this. I'd always get «LIMITED» even though the signal was strong. This was so fustrating,so much so that I reset my PC to clear it of Windows 8.1 and am now back to Windows 8.This is a shame because I was really liking
using Windows 8.1 and if not for this problem(which is a big one) I'd still be using it. If I download Windows 8.1 again from the Windows store what is the probability that I'll have the same problems?
Thanks PortozzygirlMore often than not when a device isn't working it is because the driver has become corrupted. Re-installing a fresh copy should help

I have a Apple-ID and my wife has her own Apple-ID, but I want to use only one iCloud-Photo-Library. Is that possible?
I have created a Family-Sharing, but when I now set Foto-Library to on at both of our iPhones, I have one Library for my wife and another one for me.
Is there a trick?Someone else can probably answer the family sharing question better than I can, but I wanted to respond with an alternate suggestion. I didn't find the features I wanted in family sharing, so I didn't give it much of a chance. It did seem like you'd have a separate album for each family member.
I just recently started using Flickr and it's great. I looked into it a few years ago and there were limitations on how many MB's you could upload per day and I don't remember being impressed by the amount of free storage. Now Flickr gives you 1000 GB for free and stores the image in the original quality and size. If you download the Flickr app on your phone, you can set it to automatically upload all of the new pictures on your iphone, ipad, etc. If you and a family member share a Flickr account, you can both auto sync your camera rolls into the same Flickr account.
Personally, I'm using Flickr as a way to automatically back up photos for free. I quickly ran out of free icloud storage and I haven't wanted to pay for more.In Flickr, the auto uploads from your phone are set to private by default, but you could use flickr to share albums with friends who don't own any apple products... unlike icloud photo sharing, that only allows your friends with an apple device to view shared albums. -
My iPhone 5 (newly updated to 6.0.2) will not send messages in iMessage all the time-very inconsistent. The wifi works with my phone when I use apps/search the web with no issues all of the time. For an unspecified time span, iMessage will sometimes send and receive messages, but for the most part will give me the error message: Message Send Failure. My iMessage & facetime is activated on my device for my phone and email addresses. I am in another country currently and solely rely on wifi for my connection and have turned off my data. I have toggled my wifi, turned off my phone, and reset my phone and still haven't had any luck. Any help is greatly appreciated as to why my phone is having these issues in a perfectly fine working wifi connection. (another iPhone 5 user has no issues in the wifi)
Have you tried a complete reset/restore iOS 7?
Back up your iPhone to iCloud and/or iTunes.
Open iTunes and make sure you have the latest version (11.1).
Plug your iPhone into your computer.
On the Summary screen, click Restore next to (Check for Updates). This will reset your phone to factory settings and reinstall iOS 7.
After iOS 7 has been reinstalled, you can restore your back up from iCloud or iTunes. -
My iMessages were always automatically synced with my 6 monthold iPhone 4S. However the phone recently had to be replaced by apple because of a faulty wifi antenna. The new phone was restored from backup. It works fine but iMessage no longer syncs with my ipad. I've looked into the settings and can't see anything wrong? I can iMessage from my phone and iMessage from my ipad but they don't synch. Very frustrating. Would appreciate some help. My nearest spple store is 30 miles away. Thank you so much.

HP Deskjet 3510 black in not printing
Hi everyone! My son was given this printer (new) from his cyber school. We set it up (it came with the HP ink already) and it doesn't print in black ink. Actually, when I first tried to print something it came out what I'm guessing is grayscale. S
