Internet access in different networks with proxy without proxy

at home i connect to a network with an internetaccess without proxy, in the enterprise I connect to a network with an internetaccess via proxy. How to configure the iPAD?

Hi Porras,
     Try creating an exception for your proxy-server - see pics attached (Win XP SP3).
Note: These proxy exceptions can be created programatically, by modifying the Windows Registry.
Cheers.

  • "No Internet Access" on connected device with mobile hotspot

    I've been on Verizon for 2 weeks.  Note II on a Family Share Plan with lots of data.  Using the built-in Verizon Mobile Hotspot application.  Connecting from my work laptop, which is Windows 7.
    Set it up and everything worked fine for a week and a half.  I had no problems connecting or accessing the internet from my laptop.  It worked fine Monday morning.  Monday afternoon my laptop started giving me the warning message "No Internet Access" when connecting to the phone's hotspot.  I'm in a 4g area where the hotspot has worked previously.  I've tried several times in several different 4g locations as time allowed over the last 2 days, and I have not been able to get to the internet on my connected laptop again.
    While connected to the mobile hotspot I ran Windows troubleshooter and it tells me that there is no DHCP server available, and that the default gateway for this network is unreachable.  My laptop has no problems reaching the internet via the wireless network at work or at home.  The laptop connects to both of those wireless networks every day (both before and since this problem appeared.)
    I have rebooted both the phone and the laptop, with no change in the problem results.  I renamed the hotspot, and connected to the "new" hotspot from my laptop, with no change in the problem results.  I have tried running "ipconfig /renew" from my laptop while connected, and that is when it tells me that it cannot find a DHCP server for this network.
    What broke?  How can I fix it?
    I'm still in the 100% refund return period on my contract and phones (for another day or so.)  This is an absolute deal-killer.  Hotspot on my phone is the single reason why I switched networks.
    * Revised 2/28:
    This morning I turned on the mobile hotspot feature on my wife's Galaxy S3 (on the same Verizon Family Share Plan.)  Then I connected to it from my laptop.  When it connected it said "limited internet access" for about 30 seconds, and then that warning went away and I had full access.  I surfed for a moment to confirm, and all was working.  I turned off the GS3 hotspot and turned on the hotspot on my Note II.  When I connected to the Note II's hotspot from my laptop I still had no internet access.  I left it for 3-4 minutes, and it never switched on.  I tried surfing and got only error messages in my browser.
    All of this was while sitting at my desk.  So I believe I have ruled out the laptop as a cause for this problem.
    Thanks in advance,
    Randy

    After I posted the above in February I talked to Verizon support.  They could not resolve the problem.  They replaced the phone, and the new phone has worked for months.  My work schedule changed a bit, and so I started using the hotspot less often.
    Last week I noticed that after I connected my laptop I had a longer delay before it would change from "No Internet Access" to giving me access.  Yesterday morning it was so slow that I got the command prompt up on my laptop and determined that from the laptop's perspective the problem was that there was no DHCP server available through the hotspot network.  That morning it did eventually find the DHCP server and issue my laptop an IP address, and let me connect.
    Yesterday afternoon the DHCP server never appeared, and I was not able to connect to the internet.  Same thing this morning.  I rebooted both the phone and the laptop.  No change.  The laptop connects to other wireless networks just fine, still.  This worked for months.  Why did it slow down connecting and then stop?  I'm guessing there must be some sort of buffer that has filled up.
    Anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.

  • No internet access through hosted network

    I created a hosted network to share the internet enabled the same. Both shared connection and the hosted network are showing 'Access type' as internet access, other guest devices are connected to the hosted network, got ip addresses also. But none of
    the devices are able to access internet. I have tried disabling antivirus and firewall, but still the internet connection is not available to other devices.
    Tried ‘Virtual router plus’. That also could not help in getting internet access, there in fact the internet connection sharing had to be enabled manually.
    I had gone through similar issues, but could not see proper answer from an expert.
    OS: Windows 8, Windows Firewall enabled
    Antivirus: Trend Micro
    Internet: USB modem (ICS enabled for the hosted network).
    Any suggestions for resolving this issue would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
    PS: I could share internet using the same USB modem with a machine running Windows 7 using similar method.

  • WRT54G configuration for internet access using Lacie Network Space Max

    Please HELP!!!!
    I have tried for the past 2 weeks trying to configure my router WRT54G so it allows me to access the Lacie over the internet without luck. I have followed every instructions from Lacie and every other FAQs and help on the internet, still no luck. I have spent numerous days with Lacie tech support and they could not figure it out - why my router would not allow me access over the internet. I am hoping that the big guns here can help me.
    I have a number of laptops connected wirelessly to my local network and every laptop can access the Lacie NAS hardwired to one of the ports on my router. My entire system works wonderful locally.
    The Lacie has been assigned a static IP of 192.168.1.199
    My local network has a starting IP of 192.168.1.150 and ends at 192.168.1.199
    My router's IP is 192.168.1.99
    I have assigned port forwarding for my Lacie (192.168.1.199) for ports
    20, 21, 25, 80, and 443.
    I have tried other setups but no help. Please help!!!
    Happy New Year!!!

    Scrooge... thanks!
    My NAS has ftp enabled. Access to the network is excellent throughout my local network. Every PC, wirelessly, can access everything on the NAS without any problem. Even when using the web browser using the IP or the dyndns.org assigned to the NAS. (I signed up for a free dynDNS)
    The NAS can be accessed throughout the local network using explorer (under the network directory) and also by mapping the drive. The NAS can also be access using the web browser by either through its assigned IP (192.168.1.199) or by using the NAS's dyndns.org web address (web access requires login since it accesses the Network Space Max web page) - both by http and/or by ftp
    My problem is accessing it through the internet outside my local network, i.e. from my work place or any other place away from home. The ability to access my data away from home is what I really wanted to be able to do.
    "Open the setup page of the router and go to Status tab. Note down the Internet IP address.
    Open the Internet browser and in the address bar type http://Internet_IP_address:21 or ftp://Internet_IP_address .
    See if that works for ftp server."
    Using the router's IP address for both format, http and ftp - I am not getting connected, even in my local network. Using NAS's static IP 192.168.1.199, I am able to access only using the ftp format. http://192.168.1.199:21 does not take me anywhere, but without the :21 takes me to the login page.
    Again, thanks for all  your help.... I am lost and I need your HELP!

  • No Internet Access on Private Network

    Hi,
    I have an and ESXi Host with few VM's and i require Internet Access on these servers. This is Mini lab i have created at home.
    I have My Home Broadband Router (192.168.0.1) acting as a DHCP server handing out DHCP addresses as usual.
    A Cisco 3750 with 3 Vlans created with inter vlan working with the "Ip Routing" command.
    A Physical PC
    A ESXi Host
    3 Vlans:
    Vlan 100               10.0.9.1/24          (Home Vlan)          Created DHCP Pool on this Vlan on 3750
    Vlan 200               10.0.10.1/24        (Voice Vlan)           Created DHCP Pool on this Vlan on 3750
    Vlan 300               192.168.0.2/24     (Internet Vlan)        DHCP handing out IP's from home broadband router (Uplink setup from Home ADSL router)
    3750 Switch:
    Port 1                    ESXi Trunk
    Port 2                    Home PC (Vlan 100)
    Port 3 – 28             Vlan 300 and all giving DHCP addresses from home ADSL router
    Home PC (Vlan 100   –   IP Address 10.0.9.52)
    From Command Prompt PC can ping the following:
    10.0.9.1                (Gateway)                                                        Ping Ok!!!!!
    10.0.9.2                (ESX Host)                                                       Ping Ok!!!!!
    10.0.10.1              (Gateway for Voice Vlan 200)                             Ping Ok!!!!!
    192.168.0.2          (Gateway for Internet Vlan 300)                           Ping Ok!!!!!
    192.168.0.1          (Home Router & DNS)                                        No Ping…..
    Cisco 3750 Switch
    This can ping the following:
    10.0.9.1                (Gateway)                                                         Ping Ok!!!!!
    10.0.9.2                (ESX Host)                                                        Ping Ok!!!!!
    10.0.10.1              (Gateway for Voice Vlan 200)                              Ping Ok!!!!!
    192.168.0.2          (Gateway for Internet Vlan 300)                            Ping Ok!!!!!
    192.168.0.1          (Sky router & DNS)                                             Ping OK!!!!!
    My assumtion is if i have these settings on my home PC:
    IP Address     10.0.9.55
    S/M               255.255.255.0
    Gateway        10.0.9.1
    DNS Server:     192.168.0.1 (Home Router)
    i should get internet access on my 10.0.9.1/24 network.
    IP routing is enabled and inter Vlan is working correctly. The issue I have is I have no internet connectivity on Vlan 100 (10.0.9.1/24) from my desktop PC or any of my VM's on the 10.0.9.1/24 network and internet seems to be working fine on any device in vlan 300.
    I have added my Running Config an attachment to give you a better understanding.
    Please can someone find i solution as i desperately require internet access on my VM's but they need to stay on the 10.x.x.x subet due to CUCM licensing.
    Kind Regards
    Zubair

    Hi,
    It sounds to me like the home router (192.168.0.1) doesnt have a route back to your 10.0.9.0/24 and 10.0.10.0/24 networks.
    Can you try a source ping from your 3750 switch as follows
    ping 192.168.0.1 source 10.0.9.1
    If this fails you will need to add static routes on the home router for the above networks with a next-hop of your 3750 192.168.0.2

  • Lumia 920 service problems/ no internet access. Also problem with receiving calls?

    As of yesterday I have been having a wierd problem with my Windows phone, and exploring through the web, I've seen a couple of other people with this problem as well, with no one really coming up with any other solution but to do a hard reset, which I abosuletly want to avoid. So my problem is that I don't seem to have any internet access, regardless if I am connected to 4G or through wifi. This is real wierd because it just started happening all of a sudden. I didn't do any update, didn't download anything new, nothing like that.I know for a fact that I'm simpily not just mistyping addresses or have airplane mode on, I'm stumpted as to why this is happening. To add another layer of confusion, I don't seem to receive all calls I get. For instace: yesterday, one of my friends called me, I received his call right? Well later that day, my Father apparently called me, but I never received any nottification or even a voicemail that he ever did.  What the heck is going on here and what can I do to resolve this??

    Hello @ThomasWolf
    I’m sorry to hear you’ve been experiencing issues with your phone.
    When you say you’re unable to access the internet, is it just via your Web browser? Or is it apps that require data such as Facebook, YouTube, etc.?
    Have you tried via more than one Wi-Fi network as well?
    Try to open up att.com/ttr via your mobile web browser; do you see a confirmation page?
    If you’re continuing to have issues, then please contact us.
    Thank you,
    Charise

  • No Internet Access while Apps configure with Static IP - How to resolve?

    Dear Legends,
    I have installed a development instance which my configuration as follows:
    OS - Oracle Enterprise Linux 5.7 64 bit
    Instance - R12.1.3
    HDD - 500 GB
    RAM - 8GB
    IP - static - 192.168.1.10
    Subnet mask - 255.255.255.0
    Gateway - 192.168.1.1 --> router ip
    I need to setup a static ip only, but if i setup a static ip am able to access instance but no internet access, so that if i need to do any automation work like cron and sendmail is not working. How do i resolve this?
    1. I tried to setup a static ip configuration as editing the /etc/hosts and entry as
    192.168.1.10 hostname alias
    2. edited the resolv.conf for adding a nameserver as follows
    search hostname
    nameserver primary dns
    nameserver secondary dns
    but these entries are not available when i issue a service network restart
    3. Edited /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0
    # Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8111/8168B PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet controller
    DEVICE=eth0
    BOOTPROTO=none --> even i have changed this to STATIC/none but no change
    HWADDR=B8:88:E3:30:1A:ED
    ONBOOT=yes
    TYPE=Ethernet
    USERCTL=no
    IPV6INIT=no
    PEERDNS=yes
    HOSTNAME=devl.rel.net
    IPADDR=192.168.1.10
    NETMASK=255.255.255.0
    GATEWAY=192.168.1.1
    Since i'm trying to update my old threads if it is similar to this but i dont find any old threads, please kindly request you to provide your valuable suggestions.

    ping win2k8.mhpd.com successful. ping 8.8.8.8 or ping google.com request time out.
    what is problem in my configuration?

    Hi haresh,
    First, the network is overlapped on your computer.
    Second, AD DS is not recommended to be installed on a multihomed computer.
    Both of these will cause conmunication issues.
    You may need to re-plan your network.
    Best Regards.

  • Can I sync 2 apple tvs on different networks with same itunes account?

    I read that you can sync up to 5 tv's with the same itunes library, but do all tv's need to be on the same network?
    I've been able to successfully sync both apple tvs from my itunes account that's on my laptop. The first one works fine but the 2nd one keeps restarting itself while playing.
    I'm not sure if it's me or the apple tv.
    Has anyone else had this problem?

    Think I have it now. 2 tv's in different locations and on different networks, laptop connected to tv 1 over network 1 works fine, no go with tv 2 with laptop connected over network 2.
    Yes this could be an tv fault, you do however have the opportunity to check this. Swap over the 2 tv's if the problem moves with the tv it could be the tv, if it stays with the same network it could be the network.
    I'm not so sure it makes any difference but I assume you have named the two tv's differently in itunes.

  • How do I update/restore my phone to a different version with no internet access on the machine with iTunes installed?

    I have downloaded the version of iTunes needed, and the iOS version I wish to use from work, but am unable to restore the version of iOS as iTunes seems to be blocked at work, and I do not have internet at home, aside from on my phone.
    Thanks in advance for the help!
    ~Nathaniel

    You can ONLY restore to the latest available software.
    If you have ios 5 on your iphone you can update from the iphone itself.
    Otherwise you would need to restore from a computer with itunes and the internet.

  • No internet access through hosted network in Windows 8.1

    I am asking this question with a lot of expectation that I will get a solution for this issue. I have got seen a lot of questions being asked about this but there is no proper answer.
    I use a USB modem in Windows 8.1 laptop. I want to share the internet to other devices by creating a hostednetwork. I used the netsh commands to create and start the hostednetwork. The wifi
    hotspot got created as 'Local area network connection *14’. The internet from the USB modem was shared to ‘Local area network connection *14’. Other devices are able to connect to this and are getting IP address in the range of 192.168.137.X. The issue
    is that, the devices are not able to access internet. Please help in troubleshooting this issue.
    Please don’t give the instructions to create a hostednetwork or advice to use 'Virtual router plus'. I have already done all sorts of basic troubleshooting. Everything looks fine, but there is no internet connection to other devices.
    I am able to share internet using the same USB modem with same method in Windows 7. Please let me know if any more info is needed.

  • No internet access via guest network

    I have setup up a guest wifi network on time capsule.  Guests can connect to the network but the network does not allow them to access the internet?

    That would be the issue.
    The simplest fix would be to use the wireless on the Netgear for "guests".
    Next option would be to ask your provider if they can supply you with a simple modem.....not a modem/router or gateway type of device.
    After that.....not recommended.....you could try a different setting on the Time Capsule which would produce an error called Double NAT on the network....that may or may not allow things to work and create other problems as well.

  • Having problem accessing MacMini over network with PC's Windows 7

    Hi all,
    I have a Mac Mini with 10.6.x
    Onec in a while, especially when restart Airport Extreme for upgrade or something else (both are connected with ethernet cable cat5e) ALL PC's on the network having problem accessing Mac Mini Server while All MACs are fine and can access all folders no problem. Usually takes about 3-4 min for PC to connect to server. Then  once it is connected (it loads all folder and files in that current window on the PC) i can go from folder to folder with no delays. However if i close the window with all folders then again i have to wait for around 3 min. to load everything all over again. AFP and SMB are ON. Today i made an experiment and turned SMB off and the problem still excist with the difference that after 3-4 min delay no folders were shown.
    It seems that the PCs have hard time establishing connection with the server which is weird that Macs don't have that problem. It must be something with the setting of Mac MIni. Other wise i have no problem accessing Internet so the routher is working fine. DHCP is ON on the AP Extreme.
    I came across as i was searching for this issue and it seems that authentication - Golden triangle or whatever is called - might be the issue in the whole mess. Do you guys think that this might be the case ?
    The only way i have found out to help is to restart the Router and Server and that usually fix the problem  .
    Could you please help me figure what is going on there?

    The specified changeip -checkhostname command does not make changes to your configuration.
    To research the command (and that's entirely your perogative), please use Google or Bing to search for previous discussions and details, or review the provided man page documentation for the command.  (Launch Terminal.app (folder Applications > Utilities) and issue the command man changeip.  You'll see something like this:
    $ man changeip
    changeip(8)               BSD System Manager's Manual              changeip(8)
    NAME
         changeip -- Change service configuration files with hard-coded IP addresses
    SYNOPSIS
         changeip [-v] [-d path] old-ip new-ip [old-hostname new-hostname]
         changeip -checkhostname
         changeip -h
    DESCRIPTION
         changeip is used to manually update configuration records when a server's IP address or hostname changed in a way that affected services were unable to properly process, for example when the server is behind a NAT device and the WAN identity changed.  ...
    Given your response and your concern, consider creating a backup of your disk.  Shut down, boot the installation DVD, and use Disk Utility (from the Utilities menu) in the second screen of the installation process to copy your disk contents to an external storage device.  (Time Machine isn't as good at getting a backup of a server as is a clean backup created while shut down.)  There are descriptions around that detail how to create this backup using Disk Utility.
    There is no DNS server implemented in the Airport Extreme.  The Airport Extreme forwards DNS requests to a DNS server elsewhere.  Few gateway devices contain DNS servers; that these devices request a DNS address tends to be confusing, too.  That address is solicited from the user for use in the DHCP server that many of the available gateway devices provide.
    There is no need for a DNS forwarder, particularly if your server is configured for your LAN.  (Adding a forwarder adds another hop into the whole translation process.  That configuration and that extra hop can be useful when the intermediate DNS server is providing specific, enhanced DNS-related functions, such as security monitoring and logging, or providing a "nanny filter" mechanism.)
    If you are running DNS services on your LAN, then your Airport Extreme DHCP server should be configured to pass out the IP address of your DNS server.
    It would appear that your local box has the default self-hosted DNS, and is not configured to serve LAN DNS (other than for itself).  That's good.  Accordingly, it'll likely be getting good DNS from itself, but will not be getting translations for other hosts on your network.  That's not so good.  When DNS responses are not available, you'll get DNS-level timeouts, and those are usually around 30 seconds each.
    Check your server logs for messages related to the failed connections, and check the Windows file service logs for any errors being generated by the file service.  The log information is most easily available from Console.app, which is a utility in Applications > Utilities folder, or from the Server Admin tool (Applications > Server folder) for DNS, and for the file server component.
    The above is probably going to read like a wall of unfamiliar jargon, so please ignore this and my previous response here, and I'll leave it to somebody else to assist you here.

  • Set up DynDNS access through existing network with new Airport Extreme

    Hey everyone!
    I just can't seem to figure out what I am doing wrong here...
    I am working with an office network which was initially set up with a Linksys router and a separate Linksys hub connecting two Macs and a network printer in one particular room. We added several new iMacs and for ease of connectivity, decided to add a new Airport Extreme base as one of the new iMacs is acting as a server for a database the other new wireless iMacs connect to. Also, all the machines need access to the connected network printers connected in various parts of the office.
    What we have now is the original Linksys router -> Linksys hub -> Airport Extreme. Everything seems to be working fine this way but I do believe that both the Linksys router AND the Airport Extreme are distributing IP addresses, which I'm thinking, could be the problem. I set up a DnyDNS account just fine, assigned port # 8080 on the server iMac and also opened port 8080 on both the Linksys and Airport Extreme. I still cannot get through to the server via DynDNS however.
    I am wondering if I should turn off IP distribution on the Airport Extreme and let the Linksys router handle all that? The software that the other wireless iMacs run to access the database on the server depends on the server IP address too, so will this need to be changed if the Linksys is handling IP addressing? How does the hub affect any of this... does it change or interfere with the addressing in any way?
    Thank in advance for any ideas or suggestions!

    It has no affect.
