Internet and bbm is not working at all

basically i have paid for the blackberry services which was 5pounds aswell as being on dolphin plan so should have internet too but all it is sayin wen i got onto it is: thisis a Wi-Fi service. please ensure your device has an active Wi-Fi connection and try again ????  also my blackberry registartion is saying: your hand held has been registered with wireless network and is not working still either, can some 1 please help me thanks

    Try this:
    Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
    See if you are able to connect now.

  • 8700c and device manager not working AT ALL

    So I just recently got a Blackberry 8700c and for some reason the device manager does not work at all. Like my computer will make a dadunk noise when I connect my Blackberry via USB cable but it won't register that my blackberry is connected. I cant go to my computer and actually click on my blackberry.
    I have windows vista and the device manager software I am using is the one I got in the box. 4.1
    I am also using AT&T please help.
    All I want to do is be able to connect it to my computer and upload themes and whatever else I want to the phone. But it isn't working

    Do you have Desktop Manager loaded to your PC? You mentioned device manager, but I would recommed Desktop Manager ver 4.7

  • IPhone home and lock buttons not working at all?

    I got my iPhone 4 in October 2010. Since then I have accidentally dropped it on the floor and the back cracked, and in April 2011 I accidentally dropped it in a tub of paint. A bit silly, I know, but I managed to get all of the paint off quite easily and it was fine. However, at the end of last year, the home button started to malfunction and get stuck and just generally not work. In the past few weeks I've noticed I get trouble with it at least once a day and have to sit and press it until it works. Then, today, just out of nowhere, the lock/power button at the top of my phone just stopped working, it's stuck. I don't really have a way to wake my phone now unless I press the home button until it works, and I can't lock it anymore. I don't know whether it would be anything to do with the paint, considering it happened a year ago.  Is there anything I can do to get it working again or do I need to take it to Apple?

    Ok this Might work
    1- Try rubbing your home button with alchohol ( or perfume ) in a circular motion for about 20 seconds
    2 - do the same to ur power button ( from left to right and repeat ) for about the same duration
    3- press and hold both your power and home button at the same time ..
    ... If this doesnt work try it one more time
    If it doesnt respond after the second time i'm afraid u'll have to take it to an apple care center :(

  • Z10 and BBM just not working!!!

    I have just recieved a Z10 that I am trialling for my company (currently we have 200 iPhones 4's)  and first impression is that its awesome! BUT I cannot use BBM whats so ever!
    I put my old BB ID in from when we had BB Storm 2 years ago but all I get is 'Restoring your BBM information' now I know that as a company we all had Storm 2's 3 years ago and moved to iPhone 4's when they were released.
    My issue is that it sems if you had an old version of BBM that this issue will happen, so if you take 200 existing BB users who want to use BBM again for communicating with colleagues I can see the iPhone 5 being the preferred handset if no one can use BBM!
    Please can someone tell me how the hell you resolve this, I have security wiped the handset 8 times today with no success!!!!
    If this is going to be an issue that until a fix is available I think BB will have a lot of people reviewing the phone who will decide its not for them.
    Please help I love this phone and I have to admit the iPhone 5 I would rather leave!

    Interesting...I'm not sure how your iPhone plays into this, since you used the BB ID from the Storm2...but if O2 says that the account attached to the Z10 definitely has no BIS, then that's not the issue.
    Does BBM work via WiFi? Did O2 look at anything else? After all, BBM remains part of the service plan for which you pay O2, so they should provide support, including escalation up to BlackBerry if necessary.
    Also, there have actually been widely various reports here as the carriers proceed with the necessary reconfigurations of their networks to accommodate both BB10 and prior devices. Some reported their carrier (I can't recall which) telling them that they must keep BIS in place until that network reconfiguration is complete. Others report their carrier saying that having BIS in place impedes things. And still others report services stopping, starting, stopping again and then starting again -- all for both BB10 and prior devices. Further still, folks report different answers from their carrier when they call back...it's a little crazy with the carriers, I fear.
    So, I think perhaps you need to pursue deeper with O2...as BBM should definitely work. And as that's part of your services from O2, they must take the responsibility for resolution.

  • Ringtones and BBM alerts not working

    Hi, I have created several custom ringtones and phone alerts on both mine and my husbands new BB 9320's . These were working just fine for the first few weeks but now the custom BBM alerts will not work on my phone but the custom ringtones do work.  Instead of the custom alert I've selected the alert sound for the normal profile is the one that sounds. However the custom alerts DO work for text messages ! Just not BBM !
    My husbands phone has the exact opposite problem, BBM alerts work, ringtones don't !
    The problem seems to have happened after I had installed some various Apps . So I uninstalled all those apps and I've done both a soft reboot and battery pull on each phone trying to fix this. I also deleted those contacts and their custom alert set-ups and re-added everything from scratch, rebooted again, still nothing. It's been like this for a few weeks now, I just can't figure it out .  Please help !

  • My internet and WiFi is not working on my iPhone.

    The internet and WiFi on my phone is not working. I can't check my email, use safari, or use my apps. I have turned the data and WiFi off then on again. I have full reception for both also.   • HT4623 My iPad 2 audio only works with headphones and orientation does not work at all

    My iPad 2 volume button does not work with the integrated speakers of my iPad, once a headphone is connected to the jack output of my iPad the OSD volume displays fine and works to the external headphone but once the headphone jack is removed, there is no more a volume bar and the side volume buttons don't work at all, this has affected the screen orientation as well, screen does not orientate  as well,
    Please help

    If you deleted files from the operating system, you wrecked your installation and the first thing you need to do is either restore those files from a backup or reinstall the OS. Doing that is never the solution to any problem. Back up all data before making any changes.

    We need clarification here.
    Please don't just state version numbers, also state which software.  iTunes 10.7 requires OSX 10.6.8 or higher.  Leopard is OSX 10.5.8.  You have two alternatives right now.  One is to stay with Leopard for a while (ultimately you should upgrade) and install iTunes 10.6.3 which is the last version to work with Leopard.  This should work with iOS6 on an iPhone4.  The other is to call Apple and order OSX 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and upgrade the computer to 10.6.8 which will allow you to run iTunes 10.7.  The caveat is we know nothing about which computer you run and if it even can run any system higher than Leopard.

    If you want to try upgrading:
    Get more information about your computer. Go to the Apple in the upper left corner of any window, then "About this Mac" and "More Info..."  Copy and paste the information here, but omit the serial number and Hardware UUID (if present).  If it says something about Intel or Core Duo or Core 2 Duo in the processor you can upgrade to Snow Leopard (assuming you have sufficient RAM/"memory").  If it says PPC or PowerMac, you cannot.

    Correct. When you did that, you voided all warranty/support, & forfeited the right to an out of warranty replacement.
    There was nothing wrong with the screen I bought,
    And, exactly, how do you know that? Since Apple DOES NOT sell iPhone parts, there is no official source for genuine parts. Thus, many on the market are counterfeit & produce nothing but problems.

    Hi Judy, one silly thing abiut it, is you have to setup Mail, even with a fake account to get to Mail>Preferences to select your default app for Mail!???
    Though I dislike Mail.App myself, it's a lot easier than WebMail n a Browser though... maybe we could help you set it up for a try... since you need to anyway to change the default Mail App?

    hoping someone can help me as i would really appericiate it:):)!
    everytime i try and open itunes my computer freezes then the screen goes black. after the screen goes black the computer restarts all on its own! when i log back into windows, after it has restarted, it tells me it has recovered from a +serious error+. when i searched for more information it gave me this error signature:

    Technically they're called STOP messages (because the PC stops after you get one of them). But "blue screen of death" (or BSOD) is the common terminology (because the PC stops after you get one of them).

    Good ... we've got the PC generating minidumps of the crashes. So we'll be able to interrogate those using Windows debugging tools to try to work out what is causing the crash.
    First, track down where they are being stored on the PC. Usually that will be in the C:\Windows\Minidump\ directory. There should be files in there with names like "Mini(number-numbers).dmp"
    (If you have "Hide filename extensions for known file types" enabled in Windows, the ".dmp" extension may not appear on the dump files. The numbers in the file name will be different for each minidump, if minidumps are present.)
    Once you've found where they're being stored, we'll have a look at them using windbg.
    1. Download and install the Windows debugging tools from here:
    http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/devtools/debugging/installx86.mspx
    2. Go to Start, All Programs, Debugging Tools For Windows, Windbg
    Once you open Windbg, you will presented with a blank screen.
    3. Click on "File > Symbol File Path". Here you will enter the symbols
    path. Symbols are needed to effectively debug.
    The path will be:
    SRVc:symbolshttp://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols
    4. Enter in this path and click OK. Now, go to "File > Save Workspace"
    so that your symbols path is saved for future use.
    5. Go to "File > Open Crash Dump" and load the file.
    (An "Open Crash Dump" screen will appear ... doubleclick "My Computer", doubleclick "Local Disk", doubleclick "Windows", doubleclick "Minidump", and doubleclick on one of the minidumps in there.)
    You will/should get a message to save base workspace information. Choose no.
    Now you will get a debugging screen. It takes a little bit to run it,
    as the symbols have to be downloaded as they are needed.
    After the "bugcheck analysis" part of the screen comes up, look for the component that seems to be causing the crash. (It'll say "Probably caused by" ...)
    Let us know the precise name of the component. (Include any file name extensions like .dll or .sys.)
    If you can, have a look at several of your crash dumps. Are all the crashes being caused by the same component? If not, could you let us know the names of the various components being cited in the various crash dumps?
