Internet Browser has stopped working.
The browser on my blackberry has stopped loading anything and i can't get onto any websites, any advice?
Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Best!

"safari web browser has stopped working" ... help?
So a number of months ago (5, I believe) Safari Web Browser crashed and I tried opening it and a message popped up that said:
+Microsoft Windows:+
+Safari Web Browser has stopped working+
+A problem caused the problem to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.+
Now up until the crash, I was extremely satisfied with Safari and it was my default internet browser. After I kept seeing this message when trying to start Safari, I decided to uninstall it and reinstall it, then tried repairing it several times. It kept showing the same message for a while so I decided to give up for a few months, so I tried again and the same thing happened. Once again I gave up and today I tried again when I updated my iTunes and that same message popped up and Safari didn't work.
So I decided to post here to see if someone can help me figure out and fix the problem since I prefer that browser to most and never had any problems with it until I froze it and it crashed that number of months ago.
Thanks and your help is greatly appreciated.Hi,
I'm afraid I'm not familiar with Vista, but in XP the Safari preferences etc. are stored in this location:
C:\Documents and Settings\YourUsername\Application Data\Apple Computer\Safari\
If you know where the equivalent Vista location is, rename the Safari directory to be Safari_backup and then retry launching the application to see if one of the files in there is corrupt and causing Safari to crash.
If it does work after doing that, try moving the files one by one back from the Safari_backup directory to the newly created Safari directory, restarting Safari each time, until you find the problematic one. -
Links to PDF files bringing up Internet Explorer has stopped working message.
When I click on a link to a PDF file - such as a bank statement - a box shows up on screen "Internet Explorer has stopped working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution ios available.
Hi,
Start>Event Viewer.... post back with the error stack.
the first step in troubleshooting web browser issues is to test by running in noAddons mode. NoAddons mode leaves ActiveX enabled, but stops COM Addons and Extensions from being loaded. IE10+ has Tools>ActiveX filtering... some websites do not test
for this and may think that Flash is not installed on the client.
When posting internet related questions it is helpful if you include the full address of any websites you are having issues with.
Regards.

"Internet Explorer Has Stopped Working" error message
I have Windows Vista and have uninstalled all of itunes and all applications including Quick Time. I have gone to itunes.com to re-install itunes but it will not allow me to do that. Each time that I do I get the error message, "Internet Explorer has stopped working" and asks if I want to shut it down. I have shut it down, which didn't help, and I have just closed the dialog box which takes me to a window thanking me for loading itunes, but there is no itunes to be found on my computer. I also was told my popup filter was too high and medium was recommended, in checking that out it was already set on medium. Anyone know how to solve this?

I have a HP Pavillion QU297AA#ABG operating on Windows 7. Since day one of installation I click on links and get the message
Internet Explorer has stopped working. A problem caused the program to sto working correctly. Windows will close the program & notify you if a solution is available.
I know it it not my internet as my laptop when used on my home wireless connection does not have this problem & neither did my previous desktop that I upgraded. I also do not believe I have a virus as I have an AVG (the paid version) antivirus scan set to run everyday to detect problems. This is so frustrating can anyone offer a solution as I have had this problem ever since I connected my new desktop pavillion.
This question was solved.

Internet Explorer has stopped working (2nd attempt to fix this)
Hello,
Ever since I upgraded to Adobe Flash Player v-10.2.159, I get the error "Internet Explorer has stopped working" when I close a tab. It doesn't happen every time, but sometimes when I have multiple tabs open. And it only happens when I have Adobe Flash Player add-on enabled. I am using Windows Vista Home Premium and IE8.
Thanks in advance for your help.I have a similar problem which happens whenever I walk away from the computer for extended periods (overnight, for example) and leave IE open with a tab logged onto http://www.nytimes.com. Doesn't matter if the NY Times tab is "on top" or if it is one of many inactive tabs; I jiggle the mouse in the morning to wake up the screen (power saving mode: screen only) and the error message is right there on top waiting for me.
I know it is the NYTimes tab which is crashing because IE always offers to recover the crashed tab. I always have multiple IE browsers running with multiple tabs on each, many of which contain Flash objects. However, crashes only occur with the NYTimes site.
I can find lots of these in Event Viewer; here are just a few:

I cannot get to the internet because MS Internet Explorer has stopped working & I would like to use firefox anyway. Is there a way to install from zip drive? I am using Windows 7
The Firefox download is the complete installer, and yes, you can run it from external storage such as CD, ZIP, or USB flash drive. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/fx/#desktop
You probably want to get IE repaired as well, since Windows uses the components of IE to check for updates, among other things. This isn't the best forum for Windows help. You could try here: http://windowssecrets.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/52-Windows-7-Forum -
